Hello friends, normally I post my own poems and artwork here but I thought you all might like to know that Colin's and my dvd POEMS FROM THE HEART is now available. You can also view more of the videos on Colins blog. You can let either one of us know if you would like one.

The video you are seeing is from our dvd. Colin wrote all the poems and did all the videoing. I did the reading, and Bill Cushman graciously provided the music for it. We hope you will enjoy the video. God bless you all and have a wonderful day in the Lord.

LISTEN TO THE THUNDER

I love to sit and listen to the thunder
Sometimes it makes me stop and wonder
What did God’s voice sound like
When He created the dark and the light

Did His voice sound out with a mighty shout
Or did He speak quietly and it came about
Was His voice like a mighty roar
To command the waves crashing to the shore?

Did He speak as you and I
And watch the heavenly bodies light the sky
Or did He speak softly and quietly
Like He does to you and me

I will probably never know as I walk this earth
But I will know after the final berth
For I will travel to my heavenly home in the sky
And dwell with Him in the sweet bye an bye

The other night we had a thunderstorm. I love to go out and watch them, this time I took the camcorder and caught this. God's handiwork is so awesome. God Bless!

WHEN IT SEEMS YOU DON’T CARE

What to do when it seems you don’t care?
Take it to the Lord in prayer
Sometimes that’s how you will feel
When others don’t seem to share your zeal

You try and try until you are ready to cry
And then you stop and wonder why
That’s when you should walk away
And seriously begin to pray

Take your burden to the Lord
A little time you can afford
To see His will in your life
Take time away from the strife

Stop and look around
Is what you are trying to do sound?
Have you asked the Lord His will?
Or are you doing your own will still

Honestly ask Him to guide you
He is faithful and will see you through
For when you try to go it alone
To frustration and anger you will be prone

NOW IS THE TIME

Waxing, flesh for fantasy tattoo’s
Body piercings and alcohol too
Attorneys and hair salons
Restaurants, pharmacies, the list goes on

All these and more are seen
Plain as day with little else in between
The city so packed and crowded
It seems in flesh to be shrouded

This place is no place to be
The noise, the crowds, not for me
But these are the people and places
Gods work ultimately takes us

Whether it is meeting people face to face
Though we are timid, by Gods grace
We can be a witness to them
Lead them from iniquities den

For though we lived not in a city perchance
We still were lost, in need of a chance
Gods grace and mercy rescued our souls
By His blood we were made whole

So now is the time to go tell the Good News
It’s time to save souls and fill the pews
For Jesus will return, we know not the day
But we need to show the lost, the way

Gentle rains that fall from above. Come to remind me of God's love. Come to cleanse and make clean. Like Your precious blood for those redeemed. Gentle rains like Your precious blood. Cleanse the soul beneath the flood. To make clean the sinners soul. Cleansed, redeemed and made whole. Such grace we do not deserve. Such mercy, none held in reserve. The cleansing blood so like the rain. Heals and renews, takes away the pain. Precious Saviour, Your life freely given. Your blood washes away sin, we are forgiven. Thank You Father for the gift of Your Son. Because of Your love, my soul is won. My soul, no longer enslaved in sin. My heart and soul are Yours, please enter in. Your love has freed me from the fetters of this world. And that same love like a banner over me is unfurled. Lead me and guide me in all Your ways. Help me to show others the way from the fray. To point them to You and the cleansing flow. So Your love and mercy they might know. Loving Saviour, thank You for the rains. For reminding me of all we have to gain. By coming to You and turning from sin. Letting Your love, grace and mercy enter in. Jeannine Faith

SHUT OUT

What does it feel like to be shut out?
You feel lonely, in despair, from your prison no way out
Lonely for the company of others, full of fears
No one to take your hand or dry your tears

Despair because no one cares enough
To come and even just say hi; it is tough
You become a prisoner in your own mind
Because others to you are unfeeling and unkind

What is one to do when faced with this situation?
Should they just accept being shutout of the equation?
They will break, sooner or later
With no one who cares, the loneliness is greater

But I tell you the truth, you don’t have to be
Alone, in despair or any sort of prisoner be
There is One who cares so much for you
He came to earth to bring life anew

His name is Jesus, my precious Saviour
If you will but ask Him, He will dwell within evermore
When you turn to Him and your heart to Him give
He will enter in and comfort, and give new life to live

For my Saviour is also my best friend
I know on Him I can depend
He will comfort me and take my hand
He will guide me, a stranger through this strange land

His love and peace will never forsake or leave me
He will dry my tears and always lead me
So I would tell you the Good News, on Him depend
You need never feel shutout, ever again
