Just Sayin'
We complain and gripe about the situation our country is in, and it indeed is. We talk about our solutions, and I am at times just as guilty as the next one, but I submit to you that the number one reason our country is in this mess, the biggest fault lies at the door of the Church! When people who are in the Church make everything in their life more important than the Church, what do we expect to happen to our country. We have set the example before our children and grandchildren that church attendance is no longer important, indeed it is optional. When we set that kind of example, again, tell me, what do we expect to become of our country?
All of the problems, wickedness, perversity, and insanity that is taking place right now, all point back to that basic tenant. It is not legalism, it is a command to obedience, based on Hebrews chapter 10, just to begin with. You esteem the organism with disregard, that God established in the earth (the Church), and you unlock a Pandora's box of wickedness in your town, city, community, county, state and nation.
When are we who name the name of Christ going to wake up and smell the coffee? Or maybe, the sewage?
This is not popular preaching, especially to Pharisaical Christianity, or to those who do not want spiritual demands and/or responsibilities placed on them, but as most folks who know me, know I am not about winning popularity contest. I am about disseminating the truth, because I love people and love this country. Jesus spoke the truth, because He loved people. He is our example, and if we love people, its high time we start telling them the truth! Tell it in love, but tell it!
