    More Pondering Points:

    More Pondering Points:

"Sin occurs not when we experience a fleeting thought, but when we dwell on a sinful thought rather than driving it out.
On the other hand, if you find that sinful thoughts are continually popping into your head so that a thought pattern is developing, you're probably inviting such thoughts into your life in some way or another, by the material you're reading, watching, or t
hinking about or by the environment that you're exposing yourself to."

"Make your words count as you talk to people. You don't need to preach to them, and you don't need to sidestep small talk; just be wise in the things you say. If you see an opportunity to insert something of substance into the conversation, do so."

"As many as twenty billion text messages are sent each month in the United States alone."

"Deepak Sharma went on record with the Guinness Book for having sent the most text messages in a single month: 182,689. That's 6,100 messages a day, 253 an hour, 4.2 a minute, or a new one every fourteen seconds or so. So basically this guy gave up a month of his life sending text messages. His other reward? A 1,411 page bill."

"Realign your beliefs about yourself to match God's truth."

Excerpts from Stan Toler's book, "Rethink Your Life"

I realize that what I am about to post is not going to be very popular, especially and unfortunately with many "church" people, but as long as I am true to God and His Word, I will sleep soundly.

For some time now I have heard all the raves from women about this book, "50 Shades of Grey".  I never like to give an opinion on something until I have seen some things first hand.  So, I'm in a store in Florence today that has this book on the shelf along with the next 2 in the series.  I flip open the book randomly and the first page my eyes fall on is pure filth!  It disturbed me in my spirit immensely.

It first disturbed me because of the vulgar language and explicit, graphic wording that looks like it came right out of a pornographic book or web site.  It's pure smut!  The "F" word is used gratuitously.  This is now considered romance?

It then disturbed me because some of the women I have heard rave about it are professing Christians!  I cannot wrap my mind around that.  Now people who are lost and do not have a relationship with God are supposed to act like sinners who don't know God. That's not surprising.  But, how can any thinking person who likes to think they have a relationship with God, read this garbage and rave about it being such a good book and recommend it to all their friends?  Sounds to me like they should be spending time in "THE GOOD BOOK", i.e. the Bible.  If they did, reading such sewerage would be highly offensive to them.

Thirdly, it disturbs me that trash like this is on bookshelves in stores where any kid who knows how to read can access it.

Paul says in the Word of God, in Philip. 4:8, "Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are PURE, whatsoever things are LOVELY, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any VIRTUE, and if there be any praise, THINK ON THESE THINGS."

If anyone is offended at my pointing these things out, you need to consult God and His Word.  I am not out to win popularity contests, I am called to speak the truth!  I don't have time to waste scratching people's itching ears, I have a message to tell anyone who will listen that Jesus loves you and wants to deliver you, and save you from the mire that you may be wallowing in!

I tell folks all the time, if I didn't love you, I wouldn't care if you got the truth!

Folks read mess like this, or go see "Harry Potter", dabble in horoscopes and haunted houses and seances at Halloween, and then wonder why all hell is breaking loose in their life, their family and their world!

Apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, teachers, and all other leaders in the Body of Christ, it's time to grow a spine and deliver a message from the Holy Spirit that will deliver God's own people and save lost humanity!  Stop worrying about offending people, or being politically correct, or afraid of the faces of men! God is our source!

No, everyone is not going to receive you, accept you and love you, but that is not what God has called you into ministry for!  It's time that the Church awakens from it's slumber, and walk in what the Psalmist wrote until we do more than just rattle the gates of hell, but shout it down - Psalm 68:1 "A Psalm or Song of David. - Let God arise, let his enemies be scattered: let them also that hate Him flee before him."
