In light of the 2010 Winter Olympics; many have trained and have anticipated this present week for years. These individuals have worked extremely hard and have made countless sacrifices to maintain their competitive edge. Finally, all of their hard work and effort has paid off and they are ready to compete. These individuals have subjected their bodies under strict disciple with one goal and one prize in their vision, the gold medal. Oh beloved, how much more should Almighty God's children (John 1:12) run the race - which is before them - for eternal glory and a eternal prize.

At Christ's Judgment Seat for the saints the rewards will be handed out and the well done my faithful servant will be given to those who have run the race and went for the gold for Almighty God's glory (2 Cor 3:10-20).

Sad to say, many will be ashamed in His Presence in that day. They will have neglected their Heavenly calling for the temporal delights and comforts that this fallen world has to offer. They will be saved by fire but with nothing to show for God's glory (1 Cor. 3:12-18).

Going For The Gold for Almighty God's Glory!

The victory is gained when a person puts his or her faith and trust in The Person of Almighty God. As believers in Christ, we can by faith go for the gold and win the victory through the many faceted adversities and calamities that comes our way. We know that God indeed loves us and has a wonderful plan and purpose in our lives to make us winners, not losers.

Listen to this promise: And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose (Romans 8:26).

God has a wonderful plan for you and wants you to be a winner!

In these last days may we be strong and of good courage and have faith in Almighty God. May we see - with the eyes of faith - past this physical world into the very throne room of Heaven, and be more than a Conqueror in Christ and for Christ. May we go for all that Almighty God has called us to be for His Glory.

I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me (Plil. 4:13)!

Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses (1Tim 6:12)!

Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place (2 Cor. 2:14)!

The song “We are the World,” which was released 25 years ago to raise money for the African famine, has assembled a modern cast of pop stars called “We are the World 25.” This star-studded array of performers from all music genres has united to help the Haitian victims of the 7.0 magnitude earthquake that struck on Jan. 12, 2010.

These performers have not only donated their time, money and talents but have been quite successful in their fundraising efforts, for which they should all be commended.

Their humanitarian efforts should be duly noted, but let’s look at the true spirit of this particular humanitarianism and its delusional expectation in light of a cursed and fallen world.

The Humanitarian Ideology

As defined by Wikipedia: “In its most general form, humanitarianism is an ethic of kindness, benevolence and sympathy extended universally and impartially to all human beings. Humanitarianism has been an evolving concept historically but universality is a common element in its evolution. NO DISTINCTION is to be made in the face of human suffering or abuse on grounds of gender, tribal, caste, religious or national divisions.” (Note: words capitalized are for emphasis only and are not in the original quote.)

Many humanitarians preach a social gospel and teach the “golden rule,” but what a great many humanitarians neglect and reject are the key foundational moral and natural laws for a healthy and prosperous society. If they adhered to and preached such virtues the world would be a totally different place. The majority of individuals who practice this type of humanitarianism are the very ones who praise and support oppressive dictators and socialistic dominance. They are the ones who hate moral laws and absolutes. As a matter of fact, they will fight tooth and nail to preserve their subjective agenda of “human rights” for actively promoting and practicing the transgression of God-ordained moral laws. These hold hands with like-minded individuals to seek a world without the Rule and Law of Almighty God, their Creator and Sustainer.


When hypocritical, godless elites from Hollywood and the decadent music industry - who have been the catalysts for the destruction of American culture and society - seek to get together for a relief project, expect to find the godless “Eros-love” and the god (Lucifer) of this world behind it (Rom 1:28-32, 2 Cor 4:3, Eph 2:2, 1 John 4:3). When the majority of these artists who have single-handedly promoted and encouraged all forms of godless and immoral behavior come together and sing “We are the world,” the spirit and mood is no different than that of the Babel rebellion of over 4200 years ago (Gen. 11:1-9; Rom. 1:18-32). No matter how sincere and noble the intentions might be, all help and aid must always be founded and rooted in REALITY and TRUTH.

The theme and spirit of the “We are the World” movement is rooted in nothing less than the global unification, Unitarianism and relativistic logic which rejects Almighty God as their Creator, Lord and Redeemer (Psalm 2:1-3,14:1-6, Rom 1:21). These choose and seek to remain oblivious about the Day of Lord which is at hand and the Day of Judgment in which all will give an account to the Creator in the near future (Acts 17:20, Rom 1:32, 10:2-4). They chase after the illusion that believes that we can do or live any way we want and still one day achieve our perfect lawless and godless social utopia. This thought process is the height of insanity, vanity and void of all common sense logic (Eccl 6, Mark 8:36, Rom 1:21,28).

This world in which we live today is a fallen world (Rom 5:12-19) ravished by the violations of God’s natural and spiritual laws (Isaiah 24:5). Godless man - no matter how noble, no matter how virtuous, no matter how full of good intentions - can never and will never bring about an utopian world peace. This is impossible apart from Almighty God and His Saving Grace. All the good intentions and humanitarian efforts are vanity (Eccl 1:4, 4:4). In light of our true and most desperate need, we need Almighty God’s salvation and deliverance from the wrath which is to come (John 3:16-17, Rom. 7:24,25, 2 Thess. 1:8-10).

A broken egg world (Romans 3:23) can never be fixed by broken egg humanity. How can imperfection create perfection? How can chaos and anarchy bring about peace and harmony? These are just basic common sense laws that humanity will not address. Humanity is fixed only on the temporal confines of time (i.e., having a beginning and an end) and has NO CONCEPT for the things of eternity and having a future therein.


Just a note of explanation here:
OF COURSE we should do all we can to help those who are oppressed and devastated by the ravishing of this fallen world. OF COURSE we should do all we can for the victims of Haiti and help them to get back to a functioning life, but that in and of itself in the end will NEVER SAVE or deliver anyone in the Day of Judgment or from the reign of Death in this fallen world. Only an “outside intervention” from Almighty God can deliver us from the terror death and His wrath (John 3:16-17, Rom. 4:25, 5:6-8 ).

The Haitians Need the True Gospel of Jesus Christ!

Today’s Haitian people are oppressed by demonic voodoo and superstition. Immoral and decadent behavior abound. Their social status and standard of living is found to be one of the poorest of all nations in the Western Hemisphere. Their poverty - as of other poor nations - is because of their outright rejection of sound spiritual and natural laws. Does this constitute a “judgmental attack” on the nation of Haiti? No, of course not! It is a sound observation expressed in terms of the law of cause and effect, which is timeless. Seeking to make any “hay” of it is resisting reality and natural law.

What the Haitians and the rest of the world truly need more than “band-aid” rescue efforts conducted on their behalf for the here and now is the TRUE Gospel of Jesus Christ! The Haitians need to know and comprehend that they will one day stand before Almighty God to give an account. They need to know and comprehend that God has provided a Savior for them on account of their transgressions against the RIGHTEOUS STANDARDS and ABSOLUTES of Almighty God (Rom 3:23 ). They need to know that Almighty God LOVES them and sent His Son to SAVE and DELIVER them from this present evil age (Gal. 1:4).


This world in which we live is a broken egg and we can never put it back together. That is the reality. Its realities and crises are hopeless and devastatingly tragic. Only in Almighty God, our Creator and Redeemer, is there true hope for all of fallen mankind (Rom. 5:12-19). Listen to what Almighty God’s Word states about you, me - everyone - i.e., the whole world.

“For God SO LOVED the world, THAT HE GAVE his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him SHOULD NOT PERISH, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.” (John 3:16)

“Who GAVE himself for our sins, that he might DELIVER us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father.” (Gal. 1:4)

How wonderful is that?! God does care, and our eternal destiny is that which is His greatest concern for you and me.

God’s Rescue Effort

My friend, good intentions and wishful thinking will not deliver us from this fallen world in the Day of Judgment. Only in Christ – God’s beloved Son - is there true hope and a sure expectation for a bright and glorious tomorrow. Our future is sure and secure in His eternal, nail-pierced hands (Rev 1:17-18)! Do you truly know Jesus Christ as your personal Savior?

In these Last Days of increasing global trouble and turmoil, may we look out side of ourselves and place our faith and trust solely in Almighty God. He alone is our Rescuer and Provider of Heavenly aid. He alone is our hope from the deliverance from death and the tyranny and oppression of sin and it terrible consequences (Heb 2:14-15 ). May you place your trust in Him today! You will NEVER be the same!
