SPAM!!!
S P A M !!!
I've been having a terrible time with spammers on this blog.
Have the rest of you?
I have a blog at blogspot.com and I never have spammers except maybe twice in the past over two years. It's so tiring!

Almost Night Time
It was almost dark the other night when my dog, Geordie and myself went for a wander down at the Correctional Centre on York Road.
It was very cold too!
I giggled to myself as I watched some of the ducks flying in and sliding on top of the thin ice but others plopping right into the open water nearby and then letting out a "Quack! I've arrived!"
Then I got too cold to watch further and I had lost nearly all of my available light so I snapped a few photos and off I went back to my home!

It's been awhile...
Yes, it's been a long time since I've posted anything in here as life for me has had some major changes in it and I've been kept busy with other avenues in my life. I call this photo... FLYING NOWHERE QUICKLY
Last weekend in our terrible storm, the snow was blowing and the wind was howling and yet this little ornament seemed to be flying so quickly to try to get out of the storm. (I had forgotten to bring him in before the winter weather set in.)
(Click to hear music)
There were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them. Luke 2:8-9
Words: Josef Mohr, circa 1816-1818. Stanzas 1 & 3 translated from German to English by John F. Young, 1863; translator of stanzas 2 & 4: anonymous
Music: Franz X. Gruber, circa 1820
Silent night, holy night, All is calm, all is bright Round yon virgin mother and Child. Holy Infant, so tender and mild, Sleep in heavenly peace, Sleep in heavenly peace.
Silent night, holy night, Shepherds quake at the sight; Glories stream from heaven afar, Heavenly hosts sing Alleluia! Christ the Savior is born, Christ the Savior is born!
Silent night, holy night, Son of God, love?s pure light; Radiant beams from Thy holy face With the dawn of redeeming grace, Jesus, Lord, at Thy birth, Jesus, Lord, at Thy birth.
Silent night, holy night Wondrous star, lend thy light; With the angels let us sing, Alleluia to our King; Christ the Savior is born, Christ the Savior is born!

Through the Farm Fence
Through the Farm Fence
I was driving home from my daughter's home last evening and I saw the most beautiful sunset, painted by the Creator. What a wonderful Saviour we have!
I stood there and thought about a hymn that I really love:
The Enormous Load of Human Guilt
The enormous load of human guilt Was on my Saviour laid; With woes as with a garment He For sinners was arrayed.
And in the fearful pangs of death He wept, He prayed for me; Loved and embraced my guilty soul When nailed to the tree.
O love amazing! love beyond The reach of human tongue; Love which shall be the subject of An everlasting song.
Eternity, though infinite, Is short enough to trace The virtues of His healing wounds, The wonders of His grace.
Ye men, rejoice in Jesu's blood, Ye angels, join your lays; In one harmonious endless choir Sing His eternal praise.
William Williams, 1717-1791

A Prayer for a Little Girl
Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.Philippians 4:6 It's been a very traumatic few months on the Photography Cafe for a family with a new baby girl. This little girl has had a very rocky ride for her entire life of six months and we've all be riding this roller coaster with her and her family. Two days ago, her father telephoned me from England requesting prayer as she had to have one of her kidney's removed but none of the surgeons and anesthetists thought that her poor little heart could withstand the surgery. It all looked very, very grim yesterday. I posted on Christian Photographers about this last minute request and the folks really rallied around. Surgery was at 2 pm British time yesterday and there were people all over the world praying at that time for this wee tyke. Some of the members of CP were setting their alarm clocks in order to be able to pray when surgery was starting over in England. We've heard today from Daddy who says that she's come through the surgery! She was on a ventilator for awhile after the surgery to help her breathe but then later, she was playing with a toy! You can read about some of this family's journey with this dear little girl's health here. I thought it would be special if we could listen to this song by Celine Dion and Josh Groban...
