Christlikeness... A New Anointing
"But we all, with unveiled face,
beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord,
are being transformed into the image from glory to glory,
just as from the Lord, the Spirit."
2 Corinthians 3:18
Beloved,
As one walks through life with Christ Jesus, there will come a time in which those (programs), which at one time were anointed, now seem ineffective and weak. Even down to the reducing church government to a simpler, or purer definition of Christianity. One will get to a place of desiring to just know Jesus! Because, it is true that God has been working within this Beloved one, so they are lifted up...
Is not the goal to see the character of Jesus Christ; His meekness, authority and love manifested in your life. Maybe you have discovered that, if a program or church activity that does not reveal Jesus is a "Dead work"; even the well-intended, for they are powerless to transform the people effectively.
Is not the truth, that the Holy Spirit is preparing you for a new and fresh anointing from the Lord?
Francis Frangipane puts it like this: "We have instructed the church in nearly everything but becoming disciples of Jesus Christ. We have filled the people with doctrines instead of Deity; we have given them manuals instead of Emmanuel." It is time that we seek to be like Jesus, not men; to want the Kingdom of God, not typical American Christianity.
Is it not time to submit passionately and solely to the Holy Spirit and the words of the Lord Jesus Christ. Reaching incessantly for the holy standards of the Kingdom of God. Any thing less then this would become a source of deception in the days that are ahead of us.
Stop and consider what Jesus did with common man in a three and a half year period; men and women transformed into what we know to be fearless disciples, literally filled with the Holy Spirit of God! These every day people were equipped with spiritual authority over the demons and exercised power over sickness and diseases. They were living proof that Christ transforms people.
This Christian has a burning passion to conformity to Christ Jesus. Settling for nothing less, and desiring more of Him and less of self...Passionately seeking God, and His Holy Spirit... Not to be filled with just a religion, but to be fully trained in the knowledge of the ways of God, and the wisdom of the Holy Spirit.
"If you abide in Me,
ask whatever you wish,
and it will be done for you."
John 15:7
When we are aligned correctly to God's will, we will indeed have the Father's endorsement and the Son's authroity.
