    My Personal Trials

Let it be all joy to you, my brothers, when you undergo tests of every sort; Because you have the knowledge that the testing of your faith gives you the power of going on in hope; But let this power have its full effect, so that you may be made complete, needing nothing.

    (Jam 1:2-4 BBE)

The past three weeks have been an excercise in patience as well as faith for me.

On the 5th I had to endure a stress test because I had been experiencing some chest pain.  The test was normal except for some minor changes in the pictures that were taken on the last stress test and this one.  Later that night I began to have blood in my urine which sent me for a ride to the emergency room.  Nothing to explain that except maybe a kidney stone.  I was sent home to follow up with my family doctor or my urologist.

The 6th I had a CT scan of my abdomin to look for kidney stones.  Yep I had them.

Monday the 9th I see the urologist who scheduled me for a Cystoscopy where the have a look in the bladder and there is only one way to get the scope in the bladder.

Thursday the 12th I have an x-ray for the urologist, blood work for everyone, and an appointment with my family doctor to go over everything. Now this doctor thinks that I should go for a Cardiac catheterization because of the changes in my stress test.

Friday the 13th, the Cystoscopy, an experience you must have endured to share with others.

Tuesday the 17th, the Cardiac catheterization another fine experience of medical knowledge.  The wost part is laying still, absolutely flat for four hours afterwards.

A week from today is a Lithotripsy,  Shock waves to break up that kidney stone that is causing the bleeding.

Yes all this in rather nerve racking to say the least, and I did have my moments of doubt and dread.  But I did get through it and I luckily had two sources from which to draw my strength.  My wife Rhonda and The Lord.  I could talk things out with my wife, who is very supportive and also with The Lord.  I am happy to say that all the tests have come out with great results.  And the calmness that I experienced I give credit to both my wife who despite being terrified herself did her best to get me through it and also to The Lord from who I draw strength, seek guidence, and seek protection.  Just remember those closest to you and The Good Lord who helps those who know him.

I am able to do all things through him who gives me strength.

    (Phi 4:13 BBE)

Pile your troubles on GOD's shoulders-- he'll carry your load, he'll help you out. He'll never let good people topple into ruin.

    (Psa 55:22 MSG)

(Deu 6:5) And you shall love Jehovah your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might.

(Deu 10:12) And now, Israel, what does Jehovah your God ask of you, but to fear Jehovah your God, to walk in all His ways, and to love Him, and to serve Jehovah your God with all your heart and with all your soul,

(Deu 11:13) And it will be, if you will listen carefully to My commandments which I command you today, to love Jehovah your God and to serve Him with all your heart and with all your soul,

(Deu 13:3) you shall not listen to the words of that prophet or that dreamer of dreams. For Jehovah your God is testing you to know whether you love Jehovah your God with all your heart and with all your soul.

(Deu 30:6) And Jehovah your God will circumcise your heart and the heart of your seed, to love Jehovah your God with all your heart and with all your soul, so that you may live.

(Jos 22:5) Only, diligently take heed to do the commands and the Law which Moses the servant of Jehovah commanded you, to love Jehovah your God, and to walk in all His ways, and to keep His commandments, and to cleave to Him, and to serve Him with all your heart and with all your soul.

(Mat 22:37) Jesus said to him, You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.

(Mar 12:30) and you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength." This is the first commandment.

(Luk 10:27) And answering, he said, You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength, and with all your mind, and your neighbor as yourself.

    All passages from MKJV.

But I exhort you, brothers, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all speak the same thing and that there be no divisions among you; but that you be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment. For it has been declared to me concerning you, my brothers, by those of Chloe, that there are contentions among you. But I say this, that every one of you says, I am of Paul, and I of Apollos, and I of Cephas, and I of Christ. Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you, or were you baptized in the name of Paul? I thank God that I baptized none of you except Crispus and Gaius, lest any should say that I had baptized in my own name. And I also baptized the household of Stephanas. Besides these, I do not know if I baptized any other. For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel; not in wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of no effect. For the preaching of the cross is foolishness to those being lost, but to us being saved, it is the power of God. For it is written, "I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and I will set aside the understanding of the perceiving ones." Where is the wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the lawyer of this world? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? For since, in the wisdom of God, the world by wisdom did not know God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save those who believe.

    (1Co 1:10-21 MKJV)

Why are there so many "Denominations"? Christians are Christians are they not?

It would seem to me that if there is a difference of opinion on a fact the answer so be from the Bible not from breaking ranks and dividing the Christian Church.

    In Jesus' own words;

(Mar 3:24) And if a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand.

(Mar 3:25) And if a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand.

You want to be different then be different, diversity is life to the Church.  Pay close attention to the fact that the common denominator is Christianity.  We are all Christians.

    Following the Lord Jesus' lead?

And the Jews' passover was at hand, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem, And found in the temple those that sold oxen and sheep and doves, and the changers of money sitting: And when he had made a scourge of small cords, he drove them all out of the temple, and the sheep, and the oxen; and poured out the changers' money, and overthrew the tables; And said unto them that sold doves, Take these things hence; make not my Father's house an house of merchandise.

    (John 2:13-16 KJV)

Jesus would not let anyone defile God's house, why are some Christians then?
