The thoughts of a Christian dealing with the loss of a loved one.

    Tue, Nov 20th - 8:14PM

He put a song in my heart and he calls me his own He's filled me with his love and joy He took a wretch like me Cleansed and made me free And now I have a reason to go on He's put hope in my life Given me a brand new start Now I can face each and every day No matter what happens this I know He will be with me every step of the way His name is Jesus, God's only Son His name is Jesus for he is the only one Who can take away your sorrow Turn your gray skies to blue Give you hope for your tomorrow And His love will see you through This is my testimony from young to old Isaiah 41:10 Do not fear for I am with you Do not be dismayed for I am your God I will strengthen you and help you And I will uphold you with my righteous right hand What great encouraging words to have with us. He will always be there if we look to Him no matter what we are going through. He already has the answers. A stranger walked into town and was going by the cemetery. He looked and saw some old stone markers. Curious he went in and saw how faded and old they were.He walked a little further and saw the newer part of that cemetery. There were big beautiful grave stones and some of these were decorated with pretty flowers and shrubs. He saw some people crying at various grave sites and he also overheard some people saying what a nice view of the river below. This is a great place to spend eternity. The stranger looked around and was saddened by those words. He thought for a moment and then gave thanks to God. The stranger remembered that when you give your life to Christ your name will be written in the Lambs book of life. You will never be abandoned or forgotten. The Holy Spirit will attend to you if you will only let him. He was thankful as he saw some graves stones well manicured and some not, that graves were empty if you gave your life to Christ. The believers were with Christ in Paradise waiting until the time when all of his loved ones will gather to be with him and each other forever. You will spend eternity with Christ not the grave! Please read John 14:4 as they are great words left to us by the Lord.
