I just finished reading a book by Grant Jeffery. The book was titled A Journey to Eternity. I recommend this book to everyone. He gives you a very scripture based look into what Heaven may be like. He also compares it with other religiuos views. Once I get into a good book I cannot put it down.
I believe in Jesus Christ and I thought a lot about Heaven but not like I do now, since my wife was taken home to be with the Lord. By thinking and pondering on Heaven my walk with the Lord has new meaning and has really picked up. There has been more joy in my life. I know that my wife is in a much better place with her Lord and Savior. This has also given me a chance to talk with individuals about their problems and to give encouraging words. Before I would not have even been able to relate. My family is also closer in their walk with the Lord.
(NIV) In Heb 10:23- Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess for he who has promised is faithful.
I will always trust in the Lord
For he is my salvation and song
He gives me strength and courage as each day goes along
When the day is over I will thank him and go to sleep
I know that he will keep me safe and I will wake up to a new day with him.
(NIV) Isaiah 41:10- So do not fear for I am with you, do not be dismayed, for I am your God
I will strengthen you and help you
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
I pray that if someone out there is hurting, remember that God loves you. It may not seem like there is any hope but there is. God is waiting.
