    more thoughts on yesterdays post

On the authours website I found a few questions for this chapter of the book. I hope Don Miller does not mind if I share them

10For the Son of Man came to seek and to save what was lost."

God is looking for a relationship with us (all) we lost it in the garden and he made a plan for us to get it back. We are a big part of that plan. Jesus payed  the price for the plan now he wants us to work the plan.

Jesus said: All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in[a] the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."

Don Miller asked this question how many NON-CHRISTIANS do you love?

He means (I think) not the Sunday morning kind of love we have for everyone but the kind that would take us to our cross.

Would you feed the hungry not just send money but let them see the love of Christ on Your face.

I am thinking more and more I (yes me) needs to get off my butt and love in action not words.

God could have sent money to earth to save us but he sent his flesh and blood to do the work The gospel needed to be incarnate. Immanuel"[d]—which means, "God with us." Matt. 1:22 niv

Do we realy love our neighbor,co-worker,the smelly person in line at the store, the one who cuts you off in traffic?

The thoughts in this posting are questions that the book has raised in me. I want to give Don Miller all credit for all his thoughts in his book. Along with the Holy Spirit who has flamed up in me to look at how I play Christian.

New book to make you think

Well if you are fundementilast conservitive Chrstian like me it will make you think.

The book is Blue Like Jazz a nonreligious thoughts on Christian spirituality by donald Miller

One of the first things in the book that I connected with was he though that every Christian he came in contact with was trying to sell God. I found this thought troubling because i felt like that, I will not share my faith because i need to sell God if I share and you do not believe i failed God. In the book he says the people (Christians) that are effective are the ones who talk to you like they know Jesus and sound like they saw him and talked to him this morning.

A few weeks ago I would have said sure I agree but I was not living like I believed this. I did not seem to others i knew jesus i just talked about him. so I followed what the author suggested I started to read the Gospels to find out who Jesus was as a person not as just a Savior(which he is) but as a man who I could be a freind with. How he felt about people and Goverment and most impotant how he felt about God.

I know this posting is not complete I could have expanded the thoughts in it but this is just to get the conversation going please respond. when this topic is ran its corse I will post a new one.
