more thoughts on yesterdays post
On the authours website I found a few questions for this chapter of the book. I hope Don Miller does not mind if I share them 10For the Son of Man came to seek and to save what was lost." God is looking for a relationship with us (all) we lost it in the garden and he made a plan for us to get it back. We are a big part of that plan. Jesus payed the price for the plan now he wants us to work the plan.
Jesus said: All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in[a] the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."
Don Miller asked this question how many NON-CHRISTIANS do you love? He means (I think) not the Sunday morning kind of love we have for everyone but the kind that would take us to our cross. Would you feed the hungry not just send money but let them see the love of Christ on Your face. I am thinking more and more I (yes me) needs to get off my butt and love in action not words. God could have sent money to earth to save us but he sent his flesh and blood to do the work The gospel needed to be incarnate. Immanuel"[d]—which means, "God with us." Matt. 1:22 niv Do we realy love our neighbor,co-worker,the smelly person in line at the store, the one who cuts you off in traffic? The thoughts in this posting are questions that the book has raised in me. I want to give Don Miller all credit for all his thoughts in his book. Along with the Holy Spirit who has flamed up in me to look at how I play Christian.
