GOD PROMISES TO COMFORT

For each sunset there's a sunrise!

In a land we cannot see

There's a place of love and endless dawn

That's called...Eternity!

In this land there are no shadows,

and no deepening shades of night,

and no candle's ever needed,

For God provides the light!

No pain or sorrow enters there,

No teardrop ever falls,

And there's no such thing as parting

Within its golden halls!

Cares and worries are forgotten

In this land where trials cease,

Aand the heart knows only gladness

and the bliss of perfect peace!

And in time there'll be reunion

Sweeter far than words can say,

With those who've gone on and await us

SPENDING TIME WITH GOD

David knew what it was to worship God. Even as royalty, as busy as he was, as complicated as his life was, he did not forget to spend personal time with God. He remembered what it was to be a shepherd out in the fields worshipping God with songs and praise. Years later David would write today’s passage sharing about the same worship. He writes, “I come to your altar, O LORD, singing a song of thanksgiving and telling of all your wonders. I love your sanctuary, LORD, the place where your glorious presence dwells.” It is easy to get in a rut learning all about God but never spending time knowing Him. It is great to love Bible study. Who doesn’t love an inspiring sermon. It challenges us to live for God. But in all the learning, in all the doing, we also need to love Him. We need to love spending time worshipping and praising Him. Today, spend time in His presence. Come to His altar and spend time in praise and communion with Him.

CAYMAN ISLAND

   MY SISTER AND I TOOK A CRUISE  TO CAYMAN ISLAND.

THIS WAS IN MAY 2011. MY THIRD CRUISE, I LIKE THIS ONE THE BEST, BUT ALSO ENJOYED THE BAHAMAS. 

WE HAD A GREAT TIME WAS A 7 DAY CRUISE FOR TWO,  BUT ONLY 4 DAYS IN THE BAHAMAS, WAS VERY NICE GREAT WEATHER......

MAYBE SOMEDAY WILL GET TO TAKE ANOTHER ONE TO A DIFFERENT PLACE.........HOPE SO!!!!!!!!!

A HUNGER FOR GOD

  A HUNGER FOR GOD

Our Lord has given us a variety of appetites, one for our physical body for survival.  Also a spiritual hunger.

Hungering for the Lord is a desire to know and draw closer to Him. Although some believers don't have this hunger,

because it lies dormant.  They are saved but have no desire to know more.  The longing for God can be awakened if we are willing to

to change our priorities and pursuits.  To cultivate a desire for the Lord takes time, the joy we'll experience is lasting, and the rewards

are eternal.  He will open your heart and mind to understand and desire Him even more.  The more we are satisfied in Christ, the more we want of Him.

LIFE'S WEAVING

My life is but a weaving

between my God and me;

I may not choose the colors,

He knows what they should be

for He can view the pattern

upon the upper side,

While I can see it only

on this, the under side.

Sometimes He weaveth sorrow,

which seemeth strange to me;

But I will trust His judgment,

and work on faithfully;

"Tis He who fills the shuttle,

He knows just what is best;

So I shall weave in earnest

and leave with Him the rest.

At last, when life is ended

with Him I shall abide,

Then I may view the pattern

upon the upper side;

Then I shall know the reason

why pain with joy entwined,

was woven in the fabric

of life that God designed.
