Nailed To The Cross
And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your
flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all
trespasses, having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was
against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the
way, having nailed it to the cross. - Colossians 2:13-14 (NKJV).
Did you know that the Bible says that God nailed the law to the cross?
What does that mean? It means that the conditions of the law have been
fulfilled.
Who fulfilled them? Jesus.
We can try to fulfill the law ourselves, but we will never be able to
keep it perfectly as Jesus did. That's why Jesus did it for us.
When God nailed it to the cross, He was saying that He accepted Jesus as our fulfillment of the law.
God not only send His Son to die for us, but He also had Jesus fulfill
the conditions of the law to prevent us from staying in bondage.

The Root Of Bondage
There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit - Romans 8:1 (KJV)
Did you know that the root of condemnation is what keeps us in bondage?
It causes us to fear that we aren’t good enough and that we don’t measure up. It causes us to be sick because we worry and are afraid. It causes our relationships to be rocky because when we are weighed down in condemnation, we don’t like ourselves. Nevertheless others.
The good news is God judged Jesus for all our sins--past, present and future. Once we accept Christ, God sees us as forgiven, blameless and without condemnation. That’s how God sees us and that’s how we need to see ourselves as well.

I Lived In Constant Torment
For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I. - Romans 7:15 (KJV)
Have you ever had this experience? The more you wanted to do good, the
more you did those bad habits that you were trying to drop. I have.
The torture in my mind alone was enough to drive me insane.
Until I took my mind off of myself and my bad habits and turned my eyes
onto Jesus and His finished work on the Cross, I lived in this constant
torment.
The only antidote to this is to take your eyes off yourself and how you
are going to stop your bad habits. When you make an effort to
consciously do this, you don't have time to consciously sin, or do the
bad things you used to do.

Only A Prayer Away
Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such
things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor
forsake thee. - Hebrews 13:5 (KJV).
God will never leave you nor forsake you.
You can be in India or in a small village in Kenya. You can be in the
remotest part of Antarctica or on the International Space Station. You
can be anywhere in the world, and God still knows where you are.
You could have committed murder, embezzled money from your company or some other hideous crime, but God still won’t leave you.
He never says, “I’m sorry. You are just too much trouble for me.” No,
He is still there for you. He loves you and is only a prayer away.
Need Him? Call out to Him now. He is always listening for your cry. Your voice is music to His ears.

That's Why
For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man
Christ Jesus; Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due
time. - I Timothy 2:5-6 (KJV).
Some times I feel like I am traveling the same road over and over. I
feel like I keep talking about the same concepts in different ways.
But at one time, for me, the crucifixion, burial and resurrection of my
Lord were nothing but Bible stories. I believed they happened, but
today they are so real to me.
I know that I know that I know that Jesus died for me and that He rose from the dead. No one can convince me otherwise.
Jesus gave Himself as a ransom for me. He had a choice. He could have
backed out, but He didn't. He died for me and you and everyone else in
this world.
That's why I love Him and that's why I praise Him and that's why I gave
my life back to Him. It's also why I am constantly bringing every
thing back to this fundamental basis of our faith.

Why Don't You Ever Call?
For the Lord your God is living among you. He is a mighty savior. He
will take delight in you with gladness. With his love, he will calm
all your fears He will rejoice over you with joyful songs.” -
Zephaniah 3:17 (NLT).
God loves us so much that He lives inside us, and He delights in us.
He loves us so much that He calms our fears. He rejoices over us so
much that He sing songs.
Imagine that! God is so in love with you that He can’t stand to be away from you.
He is like a mother with her newborn baby. He delights in watching us. He loves to calm our fears. He sings songs to us.
Just like the newborn, we grow up and separate ourselves from the
Person who loves us the most. The One who took care of us and sent His
Son to died for us. We never write, call or visit unless we want
something.
All the while God, our Daddy, is waiting, watching for us to need Him,
to ask for His opinion, to just fellowship with Him. Is that too much
for Him to ask of us?

Acknowledge What He Has Done
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. - Romans 6:23 (KJV).
We celebrate what Jesus did for us on the cross--how He died and rose
from the dead--once a year. Remembering what Jesus did for us, how He
died in our place, how He was judged for every sin we could ever
commit, though, should be a daily occurrence.
I believe that we should recognize, acknowledge, what Jesus went
through to forgive all our sins, to heal all our diseases, to redeem
our lives from destruction, to satisfy our mouths with good things, to
renew our youth like the eagles.
I challenge you to pray the 103rd Psalm, verses 1-5 first thing every
morning before your eyes even open for thirty days. Watch what it does
to your relationship with God when you acknowledge what He has done for
you.

Let Them Have Dominion
And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let
them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the
air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every
creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. - Genesis 1:26 (KJV).
We have dominion over the Earth because of what Jesus did on the
cross. Before Jesus ascended into Heaven, He gave authority of this
Earth back to us.
The devil is defeated. He was defeated by Jesus at the cross, but his
favorite pastime is to convince us that he is in control of the Earth.
No, we are.
God expects us to stand up and fight from the victory ground Jesus
fought to give us instead of fighting an already defeated foe.
Don’t waste your time wrestling with the devil. Stand in the finished
work of Jesus, knowing that Jesus already defeated your enemies.

God's Beloved Child
He that spared
not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with
him also freely give us all things? - Romans 8:32
God loves you as much as He loves Jesus. Imagine that! His Word
says “He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all,
how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?”
That means that if we believe that God really does love us, then we
know that He would never withhold any good thing from us. In fact, it
is His good pleasure to give us every good thing.
If He did withhold good things from us, He would be saying that He
loves that thing, whether it be money, health or provision, more than
He loves us. And that simply isn’t true. He loves us as much as Jesus.
The reason most of the good things haven’t manifested in our lives
is because we doubt God’s love for us. We are still wavering on
whether He will meet our needs.
Be assured, my friend, that you are God’s beloved child, just as
Jesus is, the great men and women of faith are and I am, and
nothing–absolutely nothing–will ever stop Him from loving you. Nothing
you can ever say or do will separate you from His love. Dare to
believe He loves you today!

Our Experience
Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may
grow up in your salvation, now that you have tasted that the Lord is
good.- I Peter 2:2-3
At first, many times after we are saved, we only have the experiences
of others to rely on. However, after we have been in the Word and
experienced it working in our own lives, we begin to believe God more
and more. It is when we see God do things in our lives that we become
fully persuaded that God can and will bring us through whatever crisis
we are facing.

Come Home
For most of us the story of the prodigal son (Luke 15) is about a son
who comes home from wild living and repents before his father.
The father had been waiting for that boy to come home. He hugged his
son and kissed on him even though his son probably smelled of the
animals the son had been feeding.
The father heard the apology, and his heart probably felt better because of it, but the father just wanted his son home.
God, our Heavenly Father, is waiting for His lost children to come
home. Many times we talk about this in terms of sinners, but in order
to be His children, we had to accept Christ.
He is waiting with open arms for those of us who have wandered away
from Him, who don’t spend time in His presence but instead do things
for God instead of with God.
God loves us. He is always waiting with open arms for His children to
return to Him. He too wants to embrace us and kiss on us and show us
how much He loves us.

How To Produce Fruit
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering,
gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there
is no law. - Galatians 5:22-23.
The fruit of the Spirit manifests itself in our lives when we yield to
the Spirit of God. The fruit comes from spending time with God and
believing that He loves us.
It is only when we know God loves us that we will be able to lay aside our guilt and condemnation. Then we can focus on God.
We cannot produce the fruit of the Spirit on our own. We must do so in
connection with the Holy Spirit. When the connection is broken, we
don’t produce fruit because we are not hooked up to the Source.

Restored To Our Original State
The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in
green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth
my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's
sake. - Psalms 23: 1-3
God restores our souls.
The word restore means to bring back to, put back into, the former or original state; to repair; renew.
God brings our souls--our minds, wills and emotions--back to their
original state. God is constantly helping us to renew our minds, wills
and emotions back to their original condition, to our before-the-fall
condition.
This is why we must allow Him to restore our souls, to yield to His
instructions, because when we try to renew or restore our own souls, we
fail miserably.

The Source Of All Our Need
But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. - Philippians 4:19
Yesterday I meditated on this Scripture while I brushed my teeth. I
often meditate on Scripture while I am doing something boring, like
brushing my teeth or washing my hair.
God spoke to me about that word all. He will supply all our need according to His riches. Not some of our needs. Not a few of them. All of them. That means without exception.
How will He meet our needs? According to His riches in glory by Christ
Jesus. Many times we pray according to our riches, praying poor-me
prayers, saying, "Lord, if you will just give me $5." He will, though,
because be it according to your faith.
However, God is not looking at our bank accounts to supply our needs.
He is looking at His riches. With His riches, He has enough to meet
all the needs of every one in the world and still never go broke.
Instead of focusing on our riches, we need to look to God as the Source of all we need.

"The voice spoke from heaven a second time, 'Do not call anything impure that God has made clean.' - Acts 11:9
Many times we call ourselves impure when God has cleansed us of every
sin we have committed or will ever commit. In God's sight, once we
have accepted Christ, we are righteous and clean through the shed blood
of Jesus. We should not call anything impure in which God has

The Blood Speaks
And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of
sprinkling, that speaketh better things that that of Abel. - Hebrews
12:24 (KJV).
Jesus' blood speaks of better things than Abel's. When Cain killed his
brother Abel, God said Abel's blood cried out. Even today, when a
forensics lab tests someone's DNA, and it clears the suspect of the
crime, their blood has spoken. The blood Jesus shed on the cross
speaks too. Only it speaks of salvation, protection, health,
prosperity and being redeemed from every curse. It speaks of what
Jesus did for us.

The Best We Can Be
For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness;
and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to
self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to
godliness, brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness, love. For if
you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you
from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord
Jesus Christ.- 2 Peter 1:5-8 (NIV).
This Scripture tells us that we need to make every effort to add to our
faith, goodness, knowledge, self-control, perseverance, godliness and
love. I find that the only way to really add these things to our lives
is to yield to the Holy Spirit, to let Him help us to be the best we

Participating In The Divine Nature
Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so
that through them you may participate in the divine nature and escape
the corruption in the world caused by evil desires. - 2 Peter 1:4 (NIV).
God gave us the promises. Why? According to this Scripture, it was so
we can participate in the divine nature. When Christ is in us, when He
is working through us, we are participating in the divine nature. We
are in Christ.
We know that we, as believers, have trouble fall on us just as the sinners do. However, we have an option that they don't.
We can believe what God has promised us in His Word. We can believe He
has healed us, saved us, delivered us and given us every thing that
pertains to life and godliness, or we can accept what comes our way and
do nothing. The choice is ours.

Know therefore that the LORD your God is God; he is the faithful God,
keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who
love him and keep his commands. - Deuteronomy 7:9 (NIV)
God loves us to the ends of the Earth and beyond. He loves us with an
everlasting love. The key to everything is to believe that God loves
us. We must rest in knowing that God loves us even when we mess up,
even when we disobey or argue with our spouse. God still loves us no
matter what we do. His love is without conditions. We can be assured

The Reason To Hope
But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give
an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that
you have. But do this with gentleness and respect, 1 Peter 3:15 (NIV).
When people ask us how we can hope in a dark world, our first response
should be to tell them about our God. He is the only reason we have
hope. He is our only hope. We cannot be mean about it, shoving God
down their throats. Instead of debating with others about faith, our
job is to tell people about Jesus, and leave the rest to the conviction
of the Holy Spirit.

Set Someone Up
And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of
their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death -
Revelation 12:11 (KJV).
I heard a man of God say recently that a testimony is meant to be
spoken over and over again so that it sets the hearers up for the same
type of miracle.
When we hear how God healed someone we know, our faith grows for that
type of miracle as well. Why? Because we know that God is no
respector of persons. What He did for them, He will do for us.
The next time God does something wonderful in our lives, we must keep
telling others what God has done. We never know if our testimony is
setting someone else up for a miracle.

How many times do we ask God for things? How many times do we believe

What I See
As I've said many times, I am a recovering worrier. For years, I have
been quoting a list of Scripture-based confessions every morning. In
doing this, I have been agreeing with what God says about me. Many
times I have wanted to give up because I have seen no fruit from this
endeavor. However faith is not seeing. Faith is believing that even
though I don't see God working, He is. Faith is believing God and His
Word, not the evidence I see with my physical eyes.

Take The Limits Off
Recently, I was listening to this woman who said that we need to let
God be as creative in other people's lives as He is in ours.
The problem is that most of us don't let Him be creative in our lives
either. We confine Him to our way of thinking. We tell Him, "God, I
need this, and this is how You must do it."
We must take the limits off God. We need to take Him out of the box and let God be God.
Give Him permission to meet your needs in any way He wants. And watch God's creativity appear in your life.

Quiet Time
I wait quietly before God, for my victory comes from him.. - Psalm 62:1 (NLT).
Too many times when we come before God, we have a laundry list of what
we need Him to do for us. This Scripture tells us to wait quietly
before God. We are to be quiet, knowing that from God only does our
victory come. It isn't going to come from us talking endlessly or from
us fretting. It comes from trusting the Lord. We need to be reminded
of this every day, especially in these days when our to-do lists are so
full.

Those Dark Nights
The LORD will keep you from all harm—he will watch over your life;- Psalm 121:7 (NIV).
I went through a particularly hard time in my life many years ago. I
went through a long battle with my health, and a loved one who I was
close to died. I had trouble sleeping, eating and even doing normal
activities.
Psalm 121 saw me through those dark nights. Especially verse 7 that
says, " The LORD will keep you from all harm—he will watch over your
life;”
If God was watching over me, then He knew how to help me. I turned to Him in my trouble.
Now over a decade later, I am so much better. I never lose a night's
sleep. I am healthier. I am more sociable, and I am where God wants
me to be. Thanks to my God, the Provider of all that I need.

Lead Us Into God's Truth
Shew me thy ways, O LORD; teach me thy paths. Lead me in thy truth,
and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait
all the day. - Psalm 25:4-5 (KJV).
We do not always know the truth about every situation. Many times we
believe we know what God thinks in the gray areas of life. Then He
does something that doesn't make sense to us. This is why we have to
ask Him to show us His ways, to guide us into the truth about them,
because sometimes only God knows what God is thinking.

He Sees Your Weeping
Depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity; for the LORD hath heard the
voice of my weeping. The LORD hath heard my supplication; the LORD will
receive my prayer.- Psalms 6:8-9 (KJV).
Have you ever had neighbors, or people, in your life who did you
wrong? Who complained about every thing? Who couldn't be pleased no
matter what you did? Have you ever had them lie about you? Spread
vicious rumors about you? Do rotten things to you? God sees your
inner weeping over the situation. He has heard your plea. He is
working every thing out for your good and to your favor and
advantage...just as He did for Joseph.

Fighting A Defeated Foe
These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In
the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have
overcome the world. - John 16:33 (KJV).
I've written on this Scripture before. I retouch on Scriptures when God gives me new insight into them.
Most of us know that in this world we will have trouble, but Jesus has overcome the world.
Do you know that the devil is defeated? That Jesus defeated him on the Cross?
Most of us still give him far too much credit and power in our lives.
The only thing he can do is deceive us into thinking his way. It's a
smoke screen.
He is powerless. Jesus took back the keys to earth and gave them to
us. He gave us the power to tread on snakes, scorpions and all the
power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means harm us (Luke 10:19).
We have the power to speak God's Word, believe it in our hearts and see
the manifestations of God's promises (Mark 11:23). Jesus died and rose
from the dead to give us that power.

We Live In His Power
Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after
the flesh. For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye
through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live. For
as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. -
Romans 8:12-14 (KJV).
We are not require to give into sin. But, this Scripture states, that
when we, through the power of the Spirit, put to death, or say no, to
those things we live because you are a child of God. Many times, too
many times, we are trying to say no, resist, sin in our own power, but
when we do it in the Spirit's power, we will find say "no," takes much
less effort.
