What My Prayers are for in this election
I am a sinner. Go down the list of the commandments and every one is broken by the standards Jesus gave us. My righteousness is not my own. Clearly, it is Christ's alone! It was impressed upon me, not by any human influence, to no longer speak to you about the path this nation is on before now. However, I share this now: Many pastors ask us to pray for our leaders and those who will become our leaders. I do so. I pray that they repent daily and turn again for guidance from God. I pray for us all to do that. Then I pray for the USA to get what is deserved in a small measure. That our greed will be met with loss. That jealousy will see us with less, and those we are jealous of with more. That everyone's lies will be no longer hidden. And that we will be given shame for our ultimate benefit, that we might still repent and turn again to God in truth, and not simply with our lips. I say this so that you may know how I stand with what I believe will happen today. The vision I have is pretty stark. The poor will become poorer. Charity will dry up. Hope will be gone for for those who hope in a man. Drug addicts will have a worse reality to flee from and less money to support their habit. Their crimes to support their habit will increase. The Rival Gangs that supply the drugs will find their business declining and will venture into each others domains. Their violence will escalate, and old festering hatreds based upon racial bigotry will erupt like a lanced infection. Those who protect you will see you as unworthy and refuse to use the sword in defense against evil. God's protection will be withdrawn. Many will suffer. And this is because we do not honor God's values. I hope this vision is wrong, but have no faith to pray against it. I pray for what my faith tells me to pray for, and this is it! I pray for it to be in a small measure but am afraid God may give it in the measure it is deserved. That is the only thing I have faith to pray for is to lessen our pain. We are unrepentant children who require discipline. Can you not see this clearly? AMEN and AMEN! In Truth, Mel
