Who Is My Neighbor???
And he, determined to acquit himself of reproach, said to Jesus, And who is my neighbor? 30) Jesus, taking him up, replied, A certain man was going from Jerusalem down to Jericho, and he fell among robbers, who stripped him of his clothes and belongings and beat him and went their way, [ unconcernedly] leaving him half dead, as it happened. 31) Now by coincidence a certain priest was going down along that road, and when he saw him, he passed by on the other side. 32) A Levite likewise came down to the place and saw him, and passed by on the other side [of the road]. 33) But a certain Samaritan, as he traveled along, came down to where he was; and when he saw him, he was moved with pity and sympathy [for him]. 34) And went to him and dressed his wounds, pouring on [them]
oil and wine. Then he set him on his own beast and brought him to an inn and took care of him. 35) And the next day he took out two denarii [two days wages] and gave [them] to the innkeeper, saying, Take care of him; and whatever more you spend, I [myself] will repay you when I return. 36) Which of these three do you think proved himself a neighbor to him who fell among the robbers? 37) He answered, The one who showed pity and mercy to him. And Jesus said to him, Go and do likewise. _Luke 10:29-37 Amp. Bible

Let us then fearlessly and confidently and boldly draw near to the throne of grace (the throne of God's unmerited favor to us sinners), that we may receive mercy [for our failure's] and find grace to help in good time for every need [appropiate help and well-timed help, coming just when we need it]. _Hebrews 4:16 Amp. From my dad's funeral ...
Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore, I will deliver him; I will set him on high, because he has known My name. He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him. With long life I will satisfy him, And show him My salvation. _Psalm 91:14-16
This is from my dad's funeral. I was going through paperwork tonight and came across this. I thought I would post it.
He went to his grave not saying anything to us. He knew he was going to die in six months. He could have said he was sorry. But he didn't !
He passed away March 24, 1977. The scriptures are from his funeral.
It helps with closeure to post this...

The Lord Is My Shepherd...
THE LORD is my shepherd [to feed guide, and shield me]. I shall not lack. 2) He makes me lie down in [fresh, tender] green pasture; He leads me beside the still and restful waters. 3) He refreshes and restores my life (my self) He leads me in the paths of righteousness [uprightness and right standing with Him--not for my earning it, but] for His name's sake. 4) Yes,though I walk through the [deep, sunless] valley of the shadow of death, I will fear or dread no evil, for You are with me: Your rod [to protect] and Your staff [to guide], they comfort me. 5) You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my [brimming] cup runs over. 6) Surely or only goodness, mercy, and unfailing love shall follow me all the days of my life, and through the length of my days the house of the Lord [and His presence] shall be my dwelling place. _Psalm 23:1-6 Amp. WARS & RUMORS OF WARS ...
Jesus spoke of the warnings of the end times...
"You will hear of wars and rumors of wars"...
Jesus answered them, Be careful that no one misleads you [deceiving you and leading you into error] .
5) For many will come in (on the strength of) My name [ *appropriating the name which belongs to Me] , saying I am the Christ (the Messiah) , and they will lead many astray. 6) And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars; see that you are not frightened or troubled, for this must take place, but the end is not yet. 7) For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines and earthquakes in place after place. 8) All this is but the beginning [the early pains] of the birth pangs [of the intolerable anguish] . 9) Then they will hand you over to suffer affliction and tribulation and put you to death, and you will be hated by all nations for My name's sake. _Matthew 24:4-9
14) And this good news of the kingdom (the Gospel) will be preached throughout the whole world as a testimony to all the nations, and then will come the end. _Matthew 24:14
18) Jesus approached and breaking the silence, said to them, All authority (all power of rule) in heaven and on earth has been given to Me. 19) Go then and make disciples of all the nations , baptizing them into the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. _Matthew 24:18-19 Amp.Bible

ARE YOU A SOWER???
14) The sower sows the Word ...
And He said to them, Do you not discern and understand this parable? How then is it possible for you to discern and understand all the parables? 14) The sower sows the Word . 15) The ones along the path are those who have the Word sown [in their hearts] , but when they hear, Satan comes at once and [by force] takes away the message which is sown in them. 16) And in the same way the ones sown upon stony ground are those who, when they hear the Word, at once receive and accept and welcome it with joy. _Mark 4:13-16 Amp. He saw two boats by the lake...
NOW IT occured that while the people pressed upon Jesus to hear the message of God. He was standing by the Lake of Gennesaret (Sea of Galilee). 2)And He saw two boats drawn up by the lake, but the fishermen had gone down from them and were washing their nets. 3)And getting into one of the boats, [the one] that belonged to (Simon Peter), He requested him to draw away a little from the shore. Then He sat down and continued to teach the crowd [of people] from the boat. 4) When He had stopped speaking, He said to Simon (Peter). Put out into the deep [water], and lower your nets for a haul. 5) And Simon (Peter) answered, Master, we toiled all night! [ exhaustingly] and caught nothing [in our nets]. But 'on the ground of Your word, I will lower the nets [again]. 6) And when they had done this they caught a great number of fish, and as their nets were [ at the point of] breaking. 7) They signaled to their partners in the other boat to come and take hold with them. And they came and filled both the boats, so that they began to sink. 8) But when Simon Peter saw this, he fell down at Jesus' knees, saying, Depart from me, foe I am a sinful man, O Lord 9) For he was gripped with bewildering amazement [allied to terror], and all who were with him, at the haul of fish which they had made, _Luke 5:1-9 Amp. you did it for Me !
For I was hungry and you gave Me food. I was thirsty and you gave Me something to drink. I was a stranger and you brought Me together with yourselves and welcomed and entertained and lodged Me. 36) I was naked and you clothed Me, I was sick and you visited Me with help and mimistering care. I was in prison and you came to see Me. 37) Then the just and upright will answer Him, Lord, when did we see You hungry and gave You food, or thirsty and gave You somethig to drink? 38) And when did we see You a stranger and welcomed and entertained You, or naked and clothed You? 39) And when did we see You sick or in prison and came to visit You? 40) And the King will reply to them, Truly I tell you, in so far as you did it for one of the least [in the estimation of men] of these My brethren, you did it for Me. _Matthew 25:35-40 Amp. Members Of Christ's...
Peace and Harmony
Be gentle and forbearing with one another and, if one has a difference (a grievance or complaint) against another, readily pardoning each other; even as the Lord has [freely] forgiven you, so must you also [forgive].
And above all these [put on] love and enfold yourselves with the bond of perfectness [which binds everything together completely in ideal harmony].
And let the peace (soul harmony which comes) from Christ rule (act as umpire continually) in your hearts [deciding and settling with finality all questions that arise in your minds, in that peaceful state ] to which as [members of Christ's] one body you were also called [ to live]. And be thankful (appreciative), [giving praise to God always]. _Colossians 3:13-15 Amp. Bible
