How can we be saved ?
If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved. _Romans 10:9-10 nlt

Tempted, Tested and Tried by the devil ...
THEN JESUS was led (guided) by the [Holy] Spirit into the wilderness (desert) to be tempted (tested and tried) by the devil. 2) And He went without food for forty days and forty nights, and later He was hungry. 3) And the tempter came and said to Him. If You are God's Son, command these stones to be made [ loaves of] bread. 4) But He replied, It has been written, Man shall not live and be upheld and sustained by bread alone, but by every word that comes forth from the mouth of God, _Matthew 4:1-4 Amp. A Free Gift from God ...
For it is by free grace (God's unmerited favor) that you are saved ( delivered from judgment and made partakers of Christ's salvation) through [your] faith. And this [salvation ] is not of yourselves of your own doing , it came not through your own striving], but it is the gift of God. 9) Not because of works [not the fulfillment of the Law's demands ], lest any man should boast. [It is not the result of what anyone can possibly do , so no one can pride himself in it or take glory to himself.] _Ephesians 2:8-9 Amp. Bible

God.. Adam and Eve and their sons Cain & Abel ...
So Cain went away from the presence of the Lord and dwelt in the land of Nod [wandering], east of Eden. 17) And Cain's wife [one of Adam's offspring] became pregnant and bore Enoch; and Cain built a city and named it after his son Enoch. 18) To Enoch was born Irad, and Irad was the father of Mehujael, and Mehujael the father of Methusael, and Methusael the father of Lamech. 19) And Lamech took two wives; the name of the one was Adah and of the other was Zillah. 20) Adah bore Jabal; he was the father of those who dwell in tents and have cattle and purchase possessions. 21) His brother's name was Jubal; he was the father of all those who play the lyre and pipe. 22) Zillah bore Tubal-cain; he was the forger of all [cutting] instruments of bronze and iron. The sister of Tubal-cain was Naamah. 23) Lamech said to his wives, Adah and Zillah. Hear my voice; you wives of Lamech, listen to what I say; for I have slain a man [merely] for wounding me, and a young man [only] for striking and bruising me. 24) If Cain is avenged sevenfold, truly Lamech [will be avenged] seventy- sevenfold . 25) And Adam's wife again became pregnant, and she bore a son and called his name Seth. For God, she said, has appointed for me another child instead of Abel, for Cain slew him. 26) And to Seth also a son was born, whom he named Enosh. At that time men began to call [upon God] by the name of the Lord. _Genesis 4:16-26 Amp. Bible

God.. Adam and Eve and their sons Cain and Abel continued...
And the Lord said to Cain, Where is Abel your brother ? And he said, I do not know. Am I my brother's keeper ? 10) And [the Lord] said, What have you done ? The voice of your brother's blood is crying to Me from the ground. 11) And now you are cursed by reason of the earth , which has opened it's mouth to receive your brother's [shed] blood from your hand. 12) When you till the ground, it shall no longer yield to you its strength; you shall be a fugitive and a vagabond on the earth [in perpetual exile, a degraded outcast]. 13) Then Cain said to the Lord, My punishment is greater than I can bear. 14) Behold, You have driven me out this day from the face of the land, and from Your face I will be hidden; and I will be a a fugitive and a vagabond and a wanderer on the earth, and whoever finds me will kill me. 15) And the Lord said to him, Therefore, if anyone kills Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold, And the Lord set a mark or sign upon Cain, lest anyone finding him should kill him. _Genesis 4:9-15 Amp. Adam and Eve continued ...
AND ADAM knew Eve as his wife, and she became pregnant and bore Cain; and she said, I have gotten and gained a man with the help of the Lord. 2) And [next] she gave birth to his brother Abel. Now Abel was a keeper of sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the ground. 3) And in the course of time Cain brought to the Lord an offering of the fruit of the ground. 4) And Abel brought of the firstborn of his flock and of the fat portions. And the Lord had respect and regard for Abel and for his offering. 5) But for Cain and his offering He had no respect or regard. So Cain was exceedingly angry and indignant, and he looked sad and depressed. 6) And the Lord said to Cain. Why are you angry? And why do you look sad and depressed and dejected? 7) If you do well, will you not be accepted ? And if you do not do well, sin crouches at your door ; its desire is for you, but you must master it. 8) And Cain said to his brother. Let us go out to the field. And when they were in the field . Cain rose up against Abel his brother and killed him. _Genesis 4:1-8 Amp. Bible

The coming of the Lord is very near !
You have condemned and have murdered the righteous (innocent man) , [while] he offers no resistance to you. 7) So be patient, brethren, [as you wait] till the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer waits expectantly for the precious harvest from the land. [See how] he keeps up his patient [ vigil] over it until it receives the early and late rains. 8) So you also must be patient . Establish your hearts [strengthen and confirm them in the final certainty], for the coming of the Lord is very near. 9) Do not complain, brethren, against one another, so that you [yourselves] may not be judged . Look ! The Judge is [already] standing at the very door. _James 5:6-9 Amp. Bible

God, Adam and Eve and the serpent...continued...
And the Lord God said to the serpent, Because you have done this, you are cursed above all [domestic] animals and above every [wild] living thing of the field; upon your belly you shall go, and you shall eat dust [and what it contains] all the days of your life. 15) And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your ofspring and her Offspring; He will bruise and tread your head underfoot, and you will lie in wait and bruise His heel. 16) To the woman He said, I will greatly multiply your grief and your suffering in pregnancy and the pangs of childbearing ; with spasms of distress you will bring forth children. Yet your desire and craving will be for your husband, and he will rule over you. 17) And to Adam He said, Because you have listened and given heed to the voice of your wife and eaten of the tree of which I commanded you, saying, You shall not eat of it, the ground is under a curse because of you; in sorrow and toil shall you eat [of the fruits] of it all the days of your life. _Genesis 3:14-17 Amp. Adam and Eve continued ...
Then the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves apronlike girdles. 8) And they heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God among the trees of the garden. 9) But the Lord God called to Adam and said to him, Where are you ? 10) He said, I heard the sound of You [walking] in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; and I hid myself. 11) And He said, Who told you that you were naked ? Have you eaten of the tree of which I commanded you that you should not eat ? 12) And the man said, The woman whom You gave to be with me---she gave me [fruit] from the tree, and I ate. 13) And the Lord God said to the woman, What is this you have done ? And the woman said, The serpent beguiled (cheated, outwitted, and deceived) me, and I ate. _Genesis 3:7-13 Amp. Bible

Adam and Eve continued..Was Adam deceived by Satan (serpent)?
And the woman said to the serpent, We may eat the fruit from the trees of the garden. 3) Except the fruit from the tree which is in the middle of the garden. God has said, You shall not eat of it, neither shall you touch it, lest you die. 4) But the serpent said to the woman. You shall not surely die. ....6) And when the woman saw that the tree was good (suitable and pleasant) for food and that it was delightful to look at , and a tree to be desired in order to make one wise; she took of its fruit and ate; and she gave some also to her husband, and he ate. _Genesis 3:2-6 Amp. Adam and Eve ...
And out of the ground the Lord God formed every [wild] beast and living creature of the field and every bird of the air and brought them to Adam to see what he would call them; and whatever Adam called every living creature, that was its name. 20) And Adam gave names to all the livestock and to the birds of the air and to every [wild] beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found a helper meet (suitable, adapted, complementary) for him. 21) And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam; and while he slept, He took one of his ribs or a part of his side and closed up the [place with] flesh. 22) And the rib or part of his side which the Lord God had taken from the man He built up and made into a woman, And He brought her to the man. 23) Then Adam said, This [creature] is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of a man. 24) Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and shall become united and cleave to his wife, and they shall beome one flesh. 25) And the man and his wife were both naked and were not embarrassed or ashamed in each other's presence. _Genesis 2:19-25 Amp. How can we be saved ?
But what does it say? The Word (God's message in Christ) is near you, on your lips and in your heart ; that is , the Word (the message, the basis and object) of faith which we preach. 9) Because if you acknowledge and confess with your lips that Jesus is Lord and in your heart believe (adhere to, trust in, and rely on the truth) that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10) For with the heart a person believes (adheres to, trusts in, and relies on Christ) and so is justified (declared righteous, acceptable to God), and with the mouth he confesses (declares openly and speaks out freely his faith) and confirms [his] salvation. _Romans 10:8-10 Amp. IN THE beginning [before all time] was the Word ( Christ), and the Word was with God, and the Word was God Himself. 2) He was present originally with God. 3) All things were made and came into existence through Him; and without Him was not even one thing made that has come into being. 4) In Him was Life, and the Life was the Light of men. 5) And the Light shines on in the darkness, for the darkness has never overpowered it [put it out or absorbed it or appropriated it, and is unreceptive to it]. _John 1:1-5 Amp. Living Water .......
` It was necessary for Him to go through Samaria. 5) And in doing so, He arrived at a Samaritan town called Sychar, near the tract of land that Jacob gave to his son Joseph. 6)And Jacob's well was there, So Jesus , tired as He was from His journey, sat down [to rest] by the well. It was then about the sixth hour (about noon). 7) Presently when a woman of Samaria came along to draw water, Jesus said to her, Give Me a drink--- 8)For His disciples had gone off into the town to buy food---9) The Samaritan woman said to Him, How is it that You, being a Jew, ask me, a Samaritan [and a] woman, for a drink? ---For the Jews have nothing to do with the Samaritans---10) Jesus answered her, If you had only known and had recognized God's gift and Who this is that is saying to you, Give Me a drink, you would have asked Him [instead] and He would have given you living water. _John 4:4-10 Amp.
