    Mark 3:2; Job 2:10

Mark 3:12 King James Version (KJV)

12 And he straitly charged them that they should not make him known.

Mark 3:12 Contemporary English Version (CEV)

12 But Jesus warned the spirits not to tell who he was.

    These are my thoughts.

Demons even know who He is, we need to do what they don’t and accept who He is.

Job 2:10 King James Version (KJV)

10 But he said unto her, Thou speakest as one of the foolish women speaketh. What? shall we receive good at the hand of God, and shall we not receive evil? In all this did not Job sin with his lips.

Job 2:10 Good News Translation (GNT)

10 Job answered, “You are talking nonsense! When God sends us something good, we welcome it. How can we complain when he sends us trouble?” Even in all this suffering Job said nothing against God.

Job even though having been thru a lot still knew how to act toward the Lord, with humbleness and respect. It is during the hardest times that our true character comes out, Job character came out here, Job was saying that we need to take the bad that God allows us to go thru and not just accept Him during the good times, we need to be able to praise Him during the good times and the bad times.

    Mark 3:11; Job 2:8-9

Mark 3:11 Contemporary English Version (CEV)

11 And whenever any evil spirits saw Jesus, they would fall to the ground and shout, “You are the Son of God!”

    These are my thoughts.

The devils know who Jesus is, we need to learn this and unlike them submit to Him.

Job 2:8-9 King James Version (KJV)

And he took him a potsherd to scrape himself withal; and he sat down among the ashes.

Then said his wife unto him, Dost thou still retain thine integrity? curse God, and die.

Job 2:8-9 Good News Translation (GNT)

Job went and sat by the garbage dump and took a piece of broken pottery to scrape his sores. His wife said to him, “You are still as faithful as ever, aren't you? Why don't you curse God and die?”

8 To go to a garbage dump must have been a way to deal with grief, people often at this time would have sat down on ashes to show grief. A sad state Job was now in, extreme sate of grief was what he was going thru just sitting there scratching himself with pottery to help with the pain.

9 Job’s wife may have known that God could take him but that did not mean what she was saying was good, the devil had kept her around perhaps just for this reason. We need to hold our faith to Him and not what happens to us.

    Keep our eyes on Jesus.

    Mark 3:9; Job 2:5

Mark 3:9 King James Version (KJV)

And he spake to his disciples, that a small ship should wait on him because of the multitude, lest they should throng him.

Mark 3:9 Contemporary English Version (CEV)

He even had to tell his disciples to get a boat ready to keep him from being crushed by the crowds.

    These are my thoughts.

Sometimes we like Christ need to remove ourselves from our duty, we do this so we can refocus on the Lord.

Job 2:5 King James Version (KJV)

But put forth thine hand now, and touch his bone and his flesh, and he will curse thee to thy face.

Job 2:5 Good News Translation (GNT)

But now suppose you hurt his body—he will curse you to your face!”

Satan knows our weaknesses, he has studied us and has a good idea of what will make us fall, he will not give on trying to break us, we can either let him or allow the evils he chooses to make us go thru bring us closer to the Lord instead of driving us away from God which is what Satan wants. In life there will be troubles and Satan wants to use all this to divide us from God and keep us from where He wants us.

    Keep our eyes on Jesus.

    Mark 2:10; Job 2:6-7

Mark 3:10 King James Version (KJV)

10 For he had healed many; insomuch that they pressed upon him for to touch him, as many as had plagues.

Mark 3:10 Contemporary English Version (CEV)

10 After Jesus had healed many people, the other sick people begged him to let them touch him.

    These are my thoughts.

Many will come when they have need to Jesus but few will take up and follow Him.

Job 2:6-7 Good News Translation (GNT)

So the Lord said to Satan, “All right, he is in your power, but you are not to kill him.”

Then Satan left the Lord's presence and made sores break out all over Job's body.

Good News Translation (GNT) Copyright © 1992 by American Bible Society

These are my thoughts, please share yours.

6 The Lord had to give Satan the power, Satan can not do anything to us unless we are either of the worlds or the Lord allows him to do, God knows what is best often He allows Satan to harm us and send troubles our way so we can draw closer to Him. God has the power over life and death, Satan does not. Death is apart of the fall, God gave the punishment of the fall not Satan.

7 Satan attacked, Satan wants to make us unhappy. We being unhappy can distract us from serving God.

    Keep our eyes on Jesus.
