    Mark 2:6; 2 Peter 1:8-11

    Mark 2:6

    King James Version

    But there was certain of the scribes sitting there, and reasoning in their hearts,

    Some teachers of the Law who were sitting there thought to themselves,

    These are my thoughts.

    Often times when we get alone it leads us to sin and this first starts with a stray thought.

    2 Peter 1:8-11

    King James Version

    For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

    But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.

    10 Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:

    11 For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

    2 Peter 1:8-11
    21st Century King James Version

    For if these things be in you and abound, they make you that ye shall be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

    But he that lacketh these things is blind and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.

    10 Therefore brethren, give diligence all the more to make your calling and election sure, for if ye do these things ye shall never fall.

    11 For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting Kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

    8 We as Christians should be bearing fruit of the Spirit and should have a godly influence by the path His has called us, if not then we are either not following Christ close enough or have not made Him Lord of our life. Some of these fruits take time but some will come right away. If we have no fruit as Christians we may not be Christians. We will also grow in knowledge not an earthly knowledge but a Christ like knowledge as we grow closer to Him we will learn more from Him, this will not happen if you never open the bible though.

    9 There are those of the Faith who have left the path God had for them and then there are those who never followed God. These people do not embrace the truth or the Lord.

    10 This is not saying we should boast about what the Lord has called us to do but is saying by us doing what the Lord has called us to do people will know He is in us.

    11 We will receive our reward from Him. All will be worth it when we see Him in glory.

    Keep our eyes on Jesus.

    These are my thoughts.

    Faith in Jesus will allow us to receive forgiveness for our sins.

    2 Peter 1:5-7

    King James Version (KJV)

    And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;

    And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness;

    And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.

    2 Peter 1:5-7

    And besides this, using all diligence, add to your faith virtue, and to virtue knowledge,

    Mark 2:4;

    Mark 2:4

    King James Version (KJV)

    And when they could not come nigh unto him for the press, they uncovered the roof where he was: and when they had broken it up, they let down the bed wherein the sick of the palsy lay.

    Mark 2:4

    Good News Translation (GNT)

    Because of the crowd, however, they could not get the man to him. So they made a hole in the roof right above the place where Jesus was. When they had made an opening, they let the man down, lying on his mat.

    These are my thoughts.

    We need to do whatever the Lord allows us to do to get people to Jesus.

    2 Peter 1:2-4

    King James Version (KJV)

    Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,

    According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:

    Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

    2 Peter 1:2-4

    21st Century King James Version (KJ21)

    Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, according as

    His divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him that hath called us to glory and virtue.

    Thereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises, that by these you might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

    2 Grace and peace truly only come from Jesus Christ. We can come in peace but not give peace. We also can be gracious but not truly give the grace they need. The knowledge here is talking about faith something that everyone does not have.

    3 By His power we can, He gives us the strength to do what we can not to show us His power and to show others His power by us. We are as believers called to His presence or glory. He will can His values and start to lose ours, gain His virtues and character.

    4 God had made promises; He keeps them and will keep them. The promise we as believers most look forward to no is being in His glory, which will come but until then He has a plan for us here on earth to change the world by Him and not to be a part of the world.

    Keep our eyes on Jesus.

    There is no better to come for healing than Jesus.

    Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ:

    Peter was proud of Jesus and had a happiness about being a servant of Christ, we should be proud to serve the Lord Jesus but the pride should not be on us being should be in Christ. Peter was one the men who saw Jesus on earth, Jesus made him an apostle; this was something Peter held dear Jesus called him for this purpose. We should hold dear the purpose the Lord has for us but be willing to change if He leads us to something new. Nothing more important is faith by faith we receive grace because of Jesus dying for death. Christ died and thru faith in Him we can live.

    Keep our eyes on Jesus.
