    Psalm 101

1 I will sing of loving kindness and justice. To you, Yahweh, I will sing praises.

2 I will be careful to live a blameless life. When will you come to me? I will walk within my house with a blameless heart.

3 I will set no vile thing before my eyes. I hate the deeds of faithless men. They will not cling to me.

4 A perverse heart will be far from me. I will have nothing to do with evil.

5 I will silence whoever secretly slanders his neighbor. I won’t tolerate one who is haughty and conceited.

6 My eyes will be on the faithful of the land, That they may dwell with me.

He who walks in a perfect way, He will serve me.

7 He who practices deceit won’t dwell within my house. He who speaks falsehood won’t be established before my eyes.

8 Morning by morning, I will destroy all the wicked of the land; To cut off all the workers of iniquity from Yahweh’s city.

    Proverbs 14:12

12 There is a way which seems right to a man, But in the end it leads to death.

The way that leads to life is salvation thru Jesus Christ.  Any other way leads to death.

    Proverbs 14:9

9 Fools make fun of guilt,
but the godly acknowledge it and seek reconciliation.

It amazes me how many people brag about their decadent living.  Women expose themselves in the most explicit manner on the internet with no sense of shame whatsoever.  We allow our kids to act like thugs and whores and then poke fun at people who try to live by a set of morals.  Rather you believe in religion or not shouldn't you respect their right to live their life according to their beliefs.  I have more respect for a person of a differnet religion than I do a person that doesn't believe in anything.  And these new age concept that there is no sin, that what feels right to you is what is right, is garbage.  That would mean murder, rape, kidnapping is not wrong because the person who did the crime didn't think it was wrong.  What garbage.

    Proverbs 14:7,8

    7 Stay away from fools,
for you won’t find knowledge on their lips.

8 The prudent understand where they are going,
          but fools deceive themselves.

There are plenty of people fooling themselves that is for sure.  There are plenty of people claiming to have knowledge, they point to their degrees and teachings of fellow man but it is all foolishness in the eyes of God.  It is the blind leading the blind.  You can have all the earthly knowledge you want but if you don't have Godly knowledge it is foolishness and you will never understand this life you are living.

    Proverbs 14:6

6 A mocker seeks wisdom and never finds it,
but knowledge comes easily to those with understanding.

As Christians we have plenty of mockers.  This is nothing new, people have been mocking God for ages.  We have been called idiots, backwards, simpletons.  The favorite argument among athiests is that we are uneducated while they have been enlighted with education and can never believe such fairy tales.  The Bible says the wisdom of men is what makes them foolish.  They have convinced themselves they have all the answers.  Well I'll will stick with the wisdom of God.  What would you rather put faith in God or mankind?  We have seen the work of mankind and the destruction he has wrought upon the earth and his fellow man.

    Luke 22:41,42

41 He was withdrawn from them about a stone’s throw, and he knelt down and prayed,

42 saying, “Father, if you are willing, remove this cup from me. Nevertheless, not my will, but yours, be done.”

This is part of Jesus' prayer in the garden before he was arrested.  He knew what was about to happen and knew it had happen.  He wasn't asking to get out of it he was submitting his life to God's will.  That is what we all must do when we receive Christ in our lives, submit to his will.  We must put away the prideful, selfish ambition of living for ourselves and live for Christ.

    Psalm 92:5,6

5 O Lord, what great works you do!
And how deep are your thoughts.
6 Only a simpleton would not know,
and only a fool would not understand this:

Have you ever talked to a hardcore athiest.  They really make me laugh.  They are so arrgorant and they all believe they are original thinkers.  That they have discovered some new theory that will prove that God doesn't exist.  In reallity it is the same old tired arguments that the devil has thrown around since the beginning.  Believing is a matter of faith something that can't comprehend.

    Proverbs 13:24

24 One who spares the rod hates his son, But one who loves him is careful to discipline him.

Some where along the way discipline has become a dirty word in our modern society.  But discipline is so important not just for children but also for adults.  You have to have self discipline to do the right thing.  To get up in the morning to go to work, to give a honest days work at work, to be faithful to your spouse and children and to God.  And it starts in the home when we are children.  The values we learn as children stay with us for a lifetime.  Most of us probably rebeled as teenagers against our parents, I did, but as I got older and had children of my own I find myself falling back on the same values I learned from parents as a child.  So if you think what your kids are learning at home aint sticking maybe think back to your own experiences as a child.  They might be learning more than you think good or bad.  Hopefully they are learning good values.

    Psalm 89:14-18

14 Righteousness and justice are the foundation of your throne.
Unfailing love and truth walk before you as attendants.
15 Happy are those who hear the joyful call to worship,
for they will walk in the light of your presence, Lord.
16 They rejoice all day long in your wonderful reputation.
          They exult in your righteousness.
17 You are their glorious strength.
It pleases you to make us strong.
18 Yes, our protection comes from the Lord,
and he, the Holy One of Israel, has given us our king.

    Luke 19:37-40

37 When he reached the place where the road started down the Mount of Olives, all of his followers began to shout and sing as they walked along, praising God for all the wonderful miracles they had seen.

38 “Blessings on the King who comes in the name of the Lord!
Peace in heaven, and glory in highest heaven!”

39 But some of the Pharisees among the crowd said, “Teacher, rebuke your followers for saying things like that!”

40 He replied, “If they kept quiet, the stones along the road would burst into cheers!”

Today, even here on the internet their are groups that want to silence Christians.  I have debated with these people and told them how silly their efforts are.  Their have been people who have tried to silence the word of God since the beginning of time and they all have failed.  As it says if we were to be quiet the stones would break out in praise of the Lord.  The word of God won't ever be silence

    Luke 19:26

26 “‘Yes,’ the king replied, ‘and to those who use well what they are given, even more will be given. But from those who do nothing, even what little they have will be taken away.

If we can't be faithful  with the little things in life why would God trust us with anything larger.  The saddest thing to see is how many people just waste their one and only life.  They just drift thru life with no purpose going from one weekend to another or worst trying to score one hit of their favorite poison after another.  I have seen good people just waste way with alcohol or drug abuse.  I really don't understand it.  I have never seen a crack addict or a meth addict and said I want to be just like you, let me try that.  It is amazing that people know how bad the stuff is and try it anyway.  So instead of blaiming God you don't have anything good in your life maybe you should take a good long look in the mirror and see if you have proven yourself worthy of better things or have you wasted the opportunities you have been given.  But do know this it is never to late to turn your life around.  Pray to God and ask for forgiveness for your ways.  He is faithful and just to forgive us of all unrighteousness.

    Luke 18:13

13 But the tax collector, standing far away, wouldn't even lift up his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, 'God, be merciful to me, a sinner!'

Paul said that we have all sin and come short of the glory of God.  Well we don't stop sinning once we become Christians.  We are weak humans who regurarly give into temptations.  But as Christians we know we have a father that forgives us of our sins when we do slip up.  That doesn't mean we have a free hand to sin, it means we should strive not to sin but when we do sin he is willing to forgive us if we confess our sins to him.  I had to be reminded of these myself.  Take our eyes of the Lord for a second and our enemy is there to lead us away.  Our strength comes from the Lord not ourselves and without him we are weak and defenseless against the wiles of the devil.  So stay focused on the things of the Lord and be not distracted by the desires of the world.

    Luke 17:33

33 Whoever seeks to save his life loses it, but whoever loses his life preserves it.

This is one of the hardest things for Christians to comprehend.  That we must surrender compeletly to Christ.  There is no half way, no just on Sundays.  The Bible says we must be emotionally and spiritually seperated from the world.  We must seek first the things of God.  That is contrary to the way of the world that teaches please yourself, seek fame and fortune.  That is why I have a big problem with a lot of liberal churches that try to mix in new age worldly feel good beliefs into the church.  Christanity is about serving God first, then your fellow man, providing for your family and allowing God to care for you.

    Luke 17:1,2

1 One day Jesus said to his disciples, “There will always be temptations to sin, but what sorrow awaits the person who does the tempting!

2 It would be better to be thrown into the sea with a millstone hung around your neck than to cause one of these little ones to fall into sin.

There is no doubt that selling sin makes money whether it is drugs, sex, alcohol, pornography but at what price.  Is it worth your soul, your dignity, your self respect.  Think about these women on the internet willing to expose themselves for money.  Do they care what their family thinks?  What about their kids or future kids?  And what kind of self respecting man would allow his wife to do something like that?

    Luke 16:10-12

10 “If you are faithful in little things, you will be faithful in large ones. But if you are dishonest in little things, you won’t be honest with greater responsibilities.

11 And if you are untrustworthy about worldly wealth, who will trust you with the true riches of heaven?

12 And if you are not faithful with other people’s things, why should you be trusted with things of your own?

I was watching a news show today and they were asking random people on the street if the candidate's religious beliefs and their private lifes were imporant for voters to know.  Of course some people said yes and some said no but I think you have to say yes.  A person's moral beliefs is going to dictate the types of decisions they are going to make, and far as private lifes are concern if a person is dishonest in their private lifes they are going to be dishonest in their public lifes, they don't automatically change into a different person when they step into office.  People seem to be willing to overlook the moral flaws of their favorite candidate as long as they promise the right things.  Well that is what they are counting on.  Our politicians lie, cheat, and steal because we have allowed them to.  We have to hold them accountable for their actions.

    Psalm 81:11-13

11 But my people didn’t listen to my voice. Israel desired none of me.

12 So I let them go after the stubbornness of their hearts, That they might walk in their own counsels.

13 Oh that my people would listen to me, That Israel would walk in my ways!

Read the Old Testament and you will see the same pattern unfold over and over again.  Israel repents, God rescues Israel, Israel returns to their sinful ways, God allows a foreign nation to conquer Israel, Israel repents etc, etc,.  Whenever everything was going well for Israel they turn their backs on God and pursued other gods, lustful desires, and other wordly pleasures until things went bad and they would call on God to rescue them. Well things aint change in 2000 years, human nature is still the same.  We don't want to be held down by any kind of God, we want to do our own thing until we find ourselves in a bad spot and we expect God to rescue us.  I have done three combat tours in Iraq.  You can take the biggest athiest in the world when he gets scared enough he will call on God.  Of course when he is safe again he will deny their is a God.  We call them foxhole Christians, when people get scared they get really religious and make all kinds of promises to live a better life.  Of course when they are safe again they seem to forget their promises.

    Luke 12:49-53

49 “I came to throw fire on the earth. I wish it were already kindled. 50 But I have a baptism to be baptized with, and how distressed I am until it is accomplished! 51 Do you think that I have come to give peace in the earth? I tell you, no, but rather division. 52 For from now on, there will be five in one house divided, three against two, and two against three. 53 They will be divided, father against son, and son against father; mother against daughter, and daughter against her mother; mother-in-law against her daughter-in-law, and daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law.”

I have been told before that my comments are offensive.  That Jesus came to show love and peace to the earth.  Well that is true but it was peace and love thru him.  People don't like to be told they are excluded and that they have to live a certain way to be Christian but it's the truth.  Jesus said he is the way to the father anybody offers a different way is a false teacher.  No where in the Bible does it say follow your own way, pick and choose what part of the Bible you want to follow.  Jesus spoke the truth and offended the whole Jewish religious and political structure that is why they wanted him dead.  He didn't soften his message to spare their feeling or be politically correct he spoke the hard truth they didn't want to hear, that they where corrupt and full of sin, and like today's society trying to go about serving God on their own terms.

    15. Then he said, “Beware! Guard against every kind of greed. Life is not measured by how much you own.”

Boy that is different from our culture today aint it.  Society judges people by how successful they are at business, at sports, or at being popular.  One of the hardest things for believers to remember is that we are not to be a part of this world and these world is temporary.  We have to be a part of these world physically but our heart should be on the world after this one.

    Hypocrisy

I have been torn lately.  I have the upmost faith in God and have a strong desire to serve him.  Who I don't have faith in is the church as a whole.  We have tough times ahead, as this world is growing more and more secuilar.  We have so many leaders claiming to be men of God but yet live lives and preach doctrine contrary to the teachings of the Bible.  New age liberal doctrine has creeped into the church.  They preach a doctrine that claims Jesus is not the only way to God and that all religions worship the same God.  Which is foolishness because Hindus worship many gods and Buddhist follow the teachings of Budda.  They claim you can reach enlightment thru being a good person and what seems right to you is what is right.  Well child predators think what they are doing is right.  Check out Oprah Winfrey's website she is a big believer in these teaching.  She runs a class on her website called A New Earth that teaches this very thing.  She has her own spiritual guru who is the teacher of this belief.  Yet she claims to be a christian but has made remarks that I just mentioned.  That Jesus aint the only way to God, that all religions worship the same God.  Thousands of people attend her online class and by the way of course she is a big time supporter of Barack Obama who has had his own religion problems.  She is basically running a new age cult.  Christians need to wake up, read their Bibles and get back to the basics fundalmental truths of God.  Jesus is the way and the truth of God, their is no other way to God, that includes for the Jews.  Even though some preachers preach that Jews are automaticaly saved because they are Jews and the children of God.  Well they rejected God so God rejected them and chose a new people to be his children, whosoever receives his son Jesus is his new people.  Second the Bible is the word of God, no compromise.  We can't pick and choose what parts we want to believe in.  That is another teaching.  That the Bible was written by men so it is not the true word of God.  Of course to them the word of God is whatever feels right to them.  Wake up church, as the end draws near times are going to get tougher for true believers.  The only way we are going to survive is thru our faith in the one true God.  And faith comes by hearing the word of God.
