This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success -Joshua 1: 8

    The Price For Our Redemption

    ~The Atoning Sacrifice ~
....the Father sent the Son to be the Savior of the world. 1 John 4:14

Only through Him we have eternal life. God dwells in him, and he in God. By faith we accept Him into our heart and makes us part of the family of God. God's way is so simple, even a child can understand it. He sent his only Son int the world to give to us everlasting life.
1 John 2:2 He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world.

THE TIME DREW NEAR -Jesus ... must go unto Jerusalem, and suffer many things of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised again the third day. - Matthew 16: 21

~The Plot To Kill Jesus ~

Passover, Unleavened Bread and First Fruits
Now the feast of unleavened bread drew near, which is called the Passover. And the chief priests and scribes sought how they might kill him; for they feared the people. -Luke 22: 1-2

At the Passover feast no leavened bread was eaten, even during the whole passover week.
Jesus knew that the time had come for him to leave this world and go to the Father. He was now going to show the extent of his love.
The Passover and the Feast of Unleavened Bread were only two days away, and the chief priests and the teachers of the law were looking for some sly way to arrest Jesus and kill him. It was at this time that many went up from the country to Jerusalem for their ceremonial cleansing before the Passover.

    ~BEHOLD THE MAN~

Then came Jesus forth, wearing the crown of thorns, and the purple robe. And Pilate said unto them, Behold the man! -John 19:5

It is good for every one with faith, to behold Christ Jesus in his sufferings.
Look as our Lord Jesus came forth, willing to be exposed to their scorn.
Look as they clothed him in a purple robe
Look as they twisted together a crown of thorns and set it on his head.
Look as they put a staff in his right hand and knelt in front of him and mocked him. "Hail, king of the Jews!".

It is good for every one with faith, to behold Christ Jesus in his sufferings.
Behold him, and love him. Always look unto Jesus and live.

    ~Jesus Crucified~

Therefore, when the chief priests and officers saw Him, they cried out, saying, “Crucify Him, crucify Him!” -John 19: 16

Pilate was moved to pity b the sight, but the religious leadership of Israel showed no pity at all. The words they murmured are the most hideous words that ever came out of the mouths of any human beings at any time. Nothing else would satisfy the Jews, but his death. They finally got what they wanted.

So sentence was passed on him, and gave him up to their will. Now Jesus was ready to be crucified. They took Jesus, and led him away to die for all the world.
He was crucified, as they requested, but this was also done to full-fill the scriptures. He bore His cross and died a horrible death for you and me. He was led forth for us, that we might escape.
He was nailed to the cross, as a Sacrifice bound to the altar. Oh what a Saviour! He gave His life's Blood for even me!

    ~I Thirst~

They gave me also gall for my meat; and in my thirst they gave me vinegar to drink. -Psalm 69:21

On that horrible day, they nailed Jesus to the tree, He cried out, "I Thirst". He did not get water, instead they gave him vinegar. They gave him vinegar, extended on a sponge fixed to a reed.
What untold sorrow the Saviour went through for lost sinners. For his food he was given gall. Instead of giving our Lord comfort that his condition required, they added to the afflictions. The vinegar and the gall given to him, were a faint emblem of that bitter cup which he drank up, that we might drink the cup of salvation.

He said, "I thirst" yet he made the river.
He said, "I thirst" yet he made the sea.
"I thirst," said the king of the ages.
In His great thirst He brought water to me.

    ~He Arose The Third Day~

GOD HAS PROVIDED SALVATION FOR ALL!!!

The price of our redemption was high. He died, so that we may live.
It was not an easy way but a loving way that he provided salvation for a world lost in sin.
On  the third day He arose to live forever more! Hallelujah!
