Unanswered Prayers
I sought him, but I could not find him: I called him: but he gave me no answer. Song 5:6 Did you ever pray and it seemed an answer would not come? When we pray we are told to believe and receive according to God's will. There is one thing that can hinder our prayers from being answered. David the psalmist said, "If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me. Psalm 66:18" One of the reasons most prayers are never heard and answered is because the individual needs to confess the sin that lurks deep inside of their heart and repent of it. Then God who is faithful to hear us will answer the prayer. If our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God. And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight. I John 3:21, 22 God can do anything but fail. His hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: but your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear. Isaiah 59:1, 2

Sin Doesn’t Pay
The way to Heaven is very simple, yet we must not let sin rule in our live, or we cannot see the Lord. We must live a holy live. There shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defiles. Rev. 21:27 Real Christians know how to say “no” to sin. They do not carry on the conversation of the ungodly which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts. Real Christians are to think in a new and better way. Eph. 4:22-24 says "Put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; and be renewed in the spirit of your mind; and ... put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness." Sin Doesn’t Pay, so let us be holy for the LORD our God is holy. God loves us and chose us before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love.

Oil For Our Lamps
The foolish ones took their lamps but did not take any oil with them. But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. -Matthew 25: 4-5 How smart the wise ones were! The foolish ones had neglected the most important thing of all, -- their oil was deleted, and it was a sad night for them. Our spiritual lights dim when we forget to pray and neglect our Heavenly Father. "At midnight the cry rang out: 'Here's the bridegroom! Come out to meet him!' Then all those virgins rose and trimmed their lamps. "The foolish said to the wise, 'Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.'… How sad that so many lamps have gone out. We desperately need to keep the oil of joy, so that our lights can shine brightly. Make sure you keep your spiritual lamp burning bright. “My prayer is, “Give me oil in my lamp, keep me burning.”

Angels Watching Over Me
The Lord watches every move we make and hears every word we say. Even at night He is there with us and gives his beloved sleep. Our sleep shall be sweet when we lie down, for God is watching over us and we dwell in safety. Jacob awaked out of his sleep, and he said, Surely the LORD is in this place; and I knew it not. The eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him. II Chronicles 16:9 His angels are keeping watch over us.
When the Lord is our refuge, we don't have to worry no matter what happens in this old sinful world. No plagues can come near our dwelling place. The safety, security and well being that we crave can only be found by going God's way. God's way is His Word. The Lord longs to help us, but we must have faith in Him. He is acquainted with all our ways. He sees and knows everything about us. There is nothing that we can hide from Him. Rest securely, His angels are keeping watch over us.

The Still Small Voice
Listen for the still small voice of God in your life. He has something worthwhile to say to you God's voice spoke to Elijah at Horeb and said, "What are you doing here, Elijah?" And after the earthquake a fire; but the LORD was not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice.-1 Kings 19:12 God speaks to us today too. Listen for the still small voice of God in your life. He is trying to tell you something. Listen for the gentle voice of love, grace, and mercy. He desires to guide and help us. His Spirit of love speaks peace, pardon, righteousness, and salvation by Christ. Come to the spiritual mount in the spirit and hear the voice of the Lord. Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,' says the LORD Almighty. Happy are those who hear the joyful call to worship, for they will walk in the light of your presence, LORD.

Your Suffering Is Not In Vain
They who suffer on behalf of the Lord have laid up for themselves exceedingly great rewards and treasures in the everlasting Kingdom of Heaven, so rejoice! Your suffering is not in vain. Our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us. If we share in his sufferings then we may also share in his glory for we are heirs of God. Rejoice! ---rejoice, inasmuch as you are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, you may be glad also with exceeding joy. -1 Peter 4:13Yes He will reward and recompense you for any suffering you do for His sake. Shout for joy, you heavens; rejoice, you earth; burst into song, you mountains! For the LORD comforts his people and will have compassion on his afflicted ones. --You will increase my honor and comfort me once more. -Psalm 71:21

God Cares For You
The LORD watches over all who love him, but all the wicked he will destroy. -Psalm 145:20So tenderly He watches over us moment by moment and day after day. In darkness and in daylight, He cares for anything that concerns us, so trust, relax and rest in your Heavenly Father's arms. He keeps us from being devoured and destroyed by Satan. We are never out of His sight or out of His mind. In this world of terror we do not have to fear, for He is watching over us. Though a thousand fall at your side, though ten thousand are dying around you, these evils will not touch you. Nothing happens to us without God's permission. God is totally in control and over ALL. There is nothing that He cannot do. So enjoy His awesome power and know that He is watching over you. The wicked and all the enemies of Christ, will be destroyed. Those that do not love him, but oppose the Gospel, God will consume from off the face of the earth. The Lord loves and cares for His children.

Day Of Rest
“The seventh day is the Sabbath of rest, a holy convocation.” Leviticus 23:3 It is time once again for everyone to gather in worship to the King of all kings. The week is behind us with all its cares, and our soul needs this special retreat found only when we sing of Jesus' love and redeeming grace. We bow to Him in prayer, and listen to His Holy Word. This brings rest to our troubled soul. Worship the King in all His Glory! Many have found Christ while at worship time. Christ was near and dear to their hearts and many of them are now in Glory land, but we who remain, must stay faithful to the Savior's dear cause. We should pray that seeds of love will be sown and then someday we shall all reap if we faint not. Let your soul find rest in Jesus today.

The Body Of Christ
Ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular. I Corinthians. 12:27 Living in Christ gives us completion. Only through Christ can we do so. Every single individual in the church who is truly born again is part of the body of Christ. We are told to crucify the flesh and not live in sin, but live by faith. Although we are still in the flesh, but Christ lives in us. What a glorious thought! We do not want to do anything to defile the body of Christ. He loved us so much He gave His live for us. We do not live for our self but for Christ who died for us. We are now new beings and all things are new, with the old life gone. John 17:21 says "We are one with the Father." How great to be part of the family of God.

No More Labor but Rest
They ... rest from their labors. -Rev. 14:13 Rest is something we all desire and need. Recently my husband retired and is enjoying more rest than he ever had in his entire life. The Bible says... "There remains ... a rest to the people of God. Heb. 4:9". That’s the real rest that we seek for, where we shall dwell in a peaceable habitation, and sure dwellings, and in quiet resting places. -Isaiah. 32:18 The Lord is able to give us rest while we still here in this present world. He makes us to lie down in green pastures, he leads us beside the still waters. Just come to the Master, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and He will give you rest for your troubled soul. His yoke is easy, and His burden is light. In hell there will be no rest, but everlasting torment. So today seek rest for your soul, that all may be well. In returning and rest shall ye be saved; in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength. -Isaiah. 30:15
