          This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night,that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous,and then thou shalt have good success -Joshua 1: 8

    Footprints

    Footprints in the Sand

    One night a man had a dream.
    He dreamed he was walking along the beach with the LORD.
    Across the sky flashed scenes from his life.
    For each scene, he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand:
    one belonging to him, and the other to the LORD.

    When the last scene of his life flashed before him,
    he looked back at the footprints in the sand.
    He noticed that many times along the path of his life
    there was only one set of footprints.
    He also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times in his life.

    This really bothered him and he questioned the LORD about it.
    “LORD, you said that once I decided to follow you, you’d walk with me all the way.
    But I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life,
    there is only one set of footprints.
    I don’t understand why when I needed you most you would leave me.”

    The LORD replied,
    “My son, My precious child, I love you and I would never leave you.
    During your times of trial and suffering, when you see only one set of footprints,

    it was then that I carried you.”

    ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

    We are living in troublesome times. This is a prayer I pray often from God's Word. It is a prayer for  physical blessings and protection.A prayer for God to cover us with His protective hedge of safety, strength, and good health.

    Psalm 91

    91:1 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
    91:2 I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.
    91:3 Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.
    91:4 He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.
    91:5 Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;
    91:6 Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.
    91:7 A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.
    91:8 Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.
    91:9 Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;
    91:10 There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.
    91:11 For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.
    91:12 They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.
    91:13 Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.
    91:14 Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.
    91:15 He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.
    91:16 With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.

    May God bless everyone. -Brenda

    BOOK OF REMEMBRANCE

    Special Book Of Remembrance

    I often read in God's Holy Word

    Of a very special book. Have you heard?

    It brings great interest to my mind

    A Book of Remembrance,

    and it’s one of a kind

    It is for those that fear the Lord

    That speaks often of Him, in one accord

    Our Lord listens and hears it all

    Sp let your praises, on His ear fall

    We shall be His jewels in that great day.

    Lord, let my life please you, this I pray

    We are His special treasure

    And we should have the greatest pleasure

    I sometimes wonder, what's in this book

    Maybe someday I can take a look.

    I wonder if my life will be full of good deeds

    Please don't let it be choked with weeds

    We are very much valued by God.

    It should not seem to be that odd

    I must think upon His name and fear Him

     Meditate on Him, so life’s road will not be dim

     Fear the Lord, think highly of Him.

    Read His Holy Word or sing a hymn

    Ponder His significance ways in our lives.

    For us God has pride, and in His children thrives

    Oh yes, God values us very much.

    Our chief joy should be feeling His touch

    We should give glory to His Name

    Never ever, bring Him shame

    Will God be pleased with the book of me?

     All my deeds there he will see

    I must give glory to His Name

    Tell of all His lovely fame

    And someday, perhaps there will be

    A Book of Remembrance written for me

    Book of remembrance

     A Special Book of Remembrance

    Inspired by-Malachi 3: 16-18

    Forsaking All For Christ

    And when they had brought their ships to land, they forsook all, and followed him.  Luke 5:11

    They wanted to serve the interests of Christ more than to advance their own interests. It seemed they were doing good in their business,but they left all to follow Christ.
    When our riches increase, we are inclined to set our hearts upon them, but if we forsake all for the service of Christ, this is following God.

    Then Peter said, Lo, we have left all, and followed thee.
    And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or parents, or brethren, or wife, or children, for the kingdom of God's sake,
    Who shall not receive manifold more in this present time, and in the world to come life everlasting.
    -Luke 18:28-30

    But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ.
    Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ. -Philippians 3:7,8

    PAUL'S CALLING TO SERVE

    Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God. Romans 1:1

    Paul considered himself to be a slave for the Gospel. So, Paul is literally speaking of himself as being a bondman or slave of Jesus Christ-a slave by free choice; yet owned and purchased by Jesus Christ (1 Cor. 6:19-20). By free choice he serves Christ. This reveals Paul's priorities and humility. No wonder he had such success.

    Paul was declared to be a servant for Christ even from his mother's womb. But when God, who had set me apart even from my mother's womb and called me through His grace, was pleased -Galatians 1:15 He was called to be a minister of Christ Jesus to the Gentiles, ministering as a priest the gospel of God, so that my offering of the Gentiles may become acceptable, sanctified by the Holy Spirit. -Romans 15:16

     Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God choose to serve God. Am I not free? Am I not an apostle? Have I not seen Jesus our Lord? Are you not my work in the Lord? -1 Corinthians 9:1

    We too must make a decision as to whether or not we will serve Christ.

    He Shows His Power in Wonders and Signs

    How great are his signs! and how mighty are his wonders! his kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and his dominion is from generation to generation. -Daniel 4:3

    Then all the multitude kept silence, and gave audience to Barnabas and Paul, declaring what miracles and wonders God had wrought among the Gentiles by them. -Acts 15:12

    Through mighty signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God; so that from Jerusalem, and round about unto Illyricum, I have fully preached the gospel of Christ. -Romans 15:19

    Truly the signs of an apostle were wrought among you in all patience, in signs, and wonders, and mighty deeds. -2 Cor. 12:12

    God also bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders, and with divers miracles, and gifts of the Holy Ghost, according to his own will? -Hebrews 2:4

    And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men, -Rev. 13:13

    God Moves in Mysterious Ways

    God moves in a mysterious way,
    His wonders to perform;
    He plants his footsteps in the sea,
    And rides upon the storm.

    Deep in unfathomable mines
    Of never failing skill,
    He treasures up his bright designs,
    And works his sovereign will.

    Ye fearful saints, fresh courage take,
    The clouds ye so much dread
    are big with mercy, and shall break
    In blessings on your head.

    Judge not the Lord by feeble sense,
    But trust him for his grace;
    Behind a frowning providence,
    He hides a smiling face.

    His purposes will ripen fast,
    Unfolding every hour;
    The bud may have a bitter taste,
    But sweet will be the flower.

    Blind unbelief is sure to err,
    And scan his work in vain;
    God is his own interpreter,
    And he will make it plain.

    William Cowper (1731–1800)

    Fruits of Love

    Little children, let us not love with word or with tongue, but in deed and truth. -1 John 3:18

    Christian charity stands not in word but in deed, and proceeds from a sincere affection. In deeds and action: not in tongue by empty professions, but in truth.

    The sincere expressions of sacred affection, and the services or labors of love is becoming to the Christian. Spare the compliments and flattery if there is no deeds.

    My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous; -1 John 2:1

    Little children, make sure no one deceives you; the one who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous; -1 John 3:7

    The elder to the chosen lady and her children, whom I love in truth; and not only I, but also all who know the truth. 2 John 1:1

    The elder to the beloved Gaius, whom I love in truth. -3 John 1:1

    For God so loved the world,
    that he gave his only begotten Son,
     that whosoever believeth in him
    should not perish, but have
      everlasting life.

    Light For Our Path

    5:1 Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children;
    5:2 And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling Savour.
    5:3 But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints;
    5:4 Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks.
    5:5 For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.
    5:6 Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.
    5:7 Be not ye therefore partakers with them.
    5:8 For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:
    -Ephesians 5

     Light for my Path

    My path is lit by the Savior's light
    He shines it down on each earthly flight.
    No darkness can comprehend
    The Light, He always will send

    This Light is sent from Heaven above
    To all who walk in love
    The blessed Light of our dear Lord
    Golden rays of light afford

    This light will lead us to the perfect day
    Shining brightly all the way
    It shines on the path of the just
    All one must do is trust

    Do Not Worry

    Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?
    Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?
    "And why do you worry about clothes? See how the lilies of the field grow. They do not labor or spin.

    Matthew 6:16-34

    .............................................................................

          OUR Saviour and our King,
          Enthroned and crowned above,
    Shall with exceeding gladness bring
          The children of His love.

          All that the Father gave
          His glory shall behold ;
    Not one whom Jesus came to save
          Is missing from His fold.

          He shall confess His own
          From every clime and coast,
    Before His Father's glorious throne,
          Before the angel host.

          'O righteous Father, see,
           In spotless robes arrayed,
    Thy chosen gifts of love to Me,
           Before the worlds were made.

           'By new creation Thine ;
            By purpose and by grace,
    By right of full redemption Mine,
          Faultless before Thy face.

          'As Thou hast lov..ed Me,
          So hast Thou love..ed them ;
    Thy precious jewels they shall be,
          My glorious diadem !'

    He Cares For Me

    He commands his angels concerning me to guard me in all my ways.

    How gracious he is when I cry for help.

    There is no need to fear, for He is with me; I am not dismayed, for He is my God.
    Each day He strengthens me and helps me: He upholds me with His righteous  right hand.

    I will not fear for He is with me.
    I am not dismayed, for He is my God.
    He strengthens me and helps me.
    I do not fear for He is with me.

    My Father knows what I need before I ask him.
    I only need to cast all my anxiety on him because he cares for me.
