Love Came Down
Season's Greetings from Brenda to all my friends As Christmas time approaches this year, we find it is a very busy time. People are always in a hurry it seems to get all the trimmings and festivities in order. Christmas time is also a good time to show love, especially to our family and the little ones. ******************** Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift. — 2 Cor. 9:15 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. He … spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all. Having yet … one son, his well-beloved, he sent him into the world, to live among sinful ones. Oh that men would praise the Lord for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men! — My soul doth magnify the Lord, and my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour.
Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No-one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us. We know that we live in him and he in us, because he has given us of his Spirit. And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent his Son to be the Saviour of the world. -1 John 4, 7-14 In His Love
