This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success -Joshua 1: 8

    Helping One Another

They helped every one his neighbor; and every one said to his brother, Be of good courage. -Gen. 41: 6

God's people are the seed of Abraham his friend. God’s people need encouraging in these last days. So many are the times we can help and strengthened one another by advice, counsel and prayer or just being there for them. God wants servants of the living God to encourage one another in his service. Find someone to help today. “Everyone said to his brother, be of good courage!”

Watch you, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong. -1 Corinthians 16:13

Romans 15:1 We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves

Psalm 31:24 Be strong and take heart, all you who hope in the LORD.

    Forgive and Be Forgiven

But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses. -Mark 11:26

Very plainly said: If we do not forgive,.... God will not forgive us. We must go to the throne of grace with everything that concerns us and let Him help us deal with the problem. We are to pray for the pardon of our sins, daily and be ready to forgive all who have harmed us, if we want the Heavenly Father in heaven to forgive us.

    THE PROPER TIMING

“When I choose the proper time, I will judge uprightly. -Psalm 75:2

God will not be rushed even by his own people. I have witnessed this in my personal life. Our timing is not His. He judges right, and will intervene on the part of his people. He is a perfect God and His judgments are righteous. Though it may seem that everything is out of control, God has it all in His timing and will rectify that which is wrong. We may have to endure pain, sorrow and heartaches here on earth, but in His time it will all be over, and we will be happy forever more with never another care. God will bring in our wondering children in His own time, even though it may seem impossible. God is able to do abundantly above all we are able to think of say.

The wicked may think they are getting by with all their boasting and wicked ways, but God has strong warnings for them in verse 4-5. They misinterpret God’s delay and think there will be no judgment, yet their day is coming in His timing. They strut around with their power and of no thought of God in their minds but their power is feeble  when compared to the Almighty and His great power. Yes, in God’s proper time, everything will be made right.

    Power in Prayer

I will open rivers in high places, and fountains in the middle of the valleys: I will make the wilderness a pool of water, and the dry land springs of water. -Isaiah 41:18

Here it speaks of waters with which Israel was miraculously supplied in the desert after having come out of Egypt.

Do you long for spiritual blessings in your life overflowing with power divine? Do you long to live a clean life and be enlightened, full of pardon and holiness? God is the source of this fountain of life and living waters. Christ is the fountain of gardens and in him are wells of salvation. He longs to pour out blessings on all that desire them. Blessings for the poor in spirit, await those who seek for such. God will quench the thirst of every seeking soul with fruits in the grace of his Spirit.

    Any Wicked Ways?

And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the Way everlasting. Psalms 139: 24

The heart must be pure to enter God's kingdom. It would pay us all to investigate our conduct, and examine our heart. Perfection comes from God. Jesus is the Way the truth and the Light. Seek to enter into His ways. The way of godliness is pleasing to God, and profitable to us. It is the good old way and will end in everlasting life.

Search my heart O God, Make it just like You.

Search my heart O God, May it be brand new.

    Godly Mothers

Strength and honor are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come. She opens her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness. She looks well to the ways of her household, and eats not the bread of idleness. Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her. Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all. Favor is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that fears the Lord, she shall be praised. -Proverbs 31:25-30 KJV

Many of the biblical woman  lived in constant tranquility of mind, because of their just confidence in God's gracious providence.  They talked of the word of God, and kept their family in proper clothes and well balanced nutritious meals. Her children reverenced her, and she was honored by those who best know her.  This is an example of an ideal wife and mother.
Let us pray that the mothers today will fear  the Lord. Then they too will command respect and affection.
I am thankful for my Mother who is now in Heaven.  She lived for the Lord and taught her children to do so.

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY TO ALL MOTHERS

    JUST A PRAYER AWAY

For by you I have run through a troop; and by my God have I leaped over a wall. -Ps. 18: 29

It is through God by whom all our victories come. We can do great and mighty things when God is on our side.  He lifts us up from the pits of sin and despair, and causes us to rejoice again.
When it seems all the world is against us, we can just go call upon the name of the Lord, as David did.  After all He is just a prayer away! Call upon Him today!

Psalm 18:33 He makes my feet like the feet of a deer; he causes me to stand on the heights.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Psalm 40:2 He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand.

    Everything Beautiful

He has made every thing beautiful in his time: also he has set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God makes from the beginning to the end. -Ecclesiastes 3:11

Everything God made was good, and that includes humanity. God performs wonders that cannot be fathomed and miracles that cannot be counted. He is full of wisdom and knowledge. We cannot understand the work of God, the Maker of all things.
Our earthly life does count for God. He made us and planted a desire in our heart for Him. It is our duty to pray and seek God and find His will for our daily life. God has deeply rooted the idea of eternity in every human heart. Invest in some time for God today and let your life count for eternity. Your life can help others in the world. Let this be your heart's desire.

Ecclesiastes 3:14. And it is only in eternity that man will be able to discover what God has designed by the various works he has formed.

    Simon Peter

And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan has desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat. -Luke 22:31

What love was manifested here when Jesus called Simon by name twice and forewarned him of the dangers of Satan, the prince of evil!  Satan wanted to sift Simon as wheat.  In those day grain was agitated or shaken in a kind of fan or sieve. The grain remained in the fan, and the chaff and dust were thrown off.
So Christ Jesus says that Satan desired to try Peter and to place trials and temptations before him; "to agitate him" to bring out the worst in him",  and see whether anything of faith would remain, or whether all would not be found to be chaff -  or mere false professions.

If we were sifted today, how would our character be seen?  Would we pass the test? We must seek God's Holiness rather than our own.
