It is good when a family comes together in the same spirit. The children thrive in a good atmosphere where love abounds. Dealing with family matters can sometimes be a touchy subject. Words can do much damage, when we do not let God’s love rule in our homes. When God’s spirit of love reign in our homes,  talks are much smoother. Words of encouragement and love come forth. The conversations tend to be respectful, and each can share openly in mutual agreement.Bringing the family together for prayer and devotion goes a long way.

The Bible says:

The tongue of the wise uses knowledge aright: but the mouth of fools pours out foolishness. -Proverbs 15:2

A fool also is full of words: a man cannot tell what shall be; and what shall be after him, who can tell him?

For a dream cometh through the multitude of business, and a fool’s voice is known by multitude of words. -Eccles. 10:12 -5:3

Yes life is much easier when everyone watches their words. When God is in our midst, everyone can be happy, which makes for a happy home.

Prayer: Dear God, we invite you to reign in our home always, now and forever. Let the words of our mouth and the meditation of our hearts be accepted in thy sight.

PEACE FOR GOD'S PEOPLE

I will hear what God the LORD will speak: for he will speak peace unto his people, and to his saints: but let them not turn again to folly. -Psalm 85: 8

We like David can be confident of peace. Peace is spoken to those who turn from sin. Yes, He will surely give peace to His saints. Not to all that is called God's people, but only to those who are truly His. The Lord will give strength to His people; The Lord will bless His people with peace but turned back and acted treacherously like their fathers; they turned aside like a treacherous bow.

 The latter glory of this house will be greater than the former,' says the Lord of hosts, 'and in this place I will give peace,' declares the Lord of hosts." I will cut off the chariot from Ephraim and the horse from Jerusalem; and the bow of war will be cut off. And He will speak peace to the nations; And His dominion will be from sea to sea, And from the River to the ends of the earth. For it would be better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than having known it, to turn away from the holy commandment handed on to them.

THREE KEYS TO PEACE

1. Fret not--because God loves you  (1Jn. 4:16).

2. Faint not--because God holds you (Ps 139:10).

3. Fear not--because God keeps you (Ps 121:5).
