Instructions From Above
I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go: I will guide you with my eye. -Psalm 32:8
How great that the Lord himself deigns to teach his children and even the sinners to walk in the way of integrity, of his holy word. The sweet Holy Spirit directing our daily conversation is a beautiful thing. How great it is to be sheep of his pasture, following God's guidance and wisdom. Depend on Him to lead and guide you all the way home. Psalm 25:8 Good and upright is the LORD; therefore he instructs sinners in his ways. Which way should we go? The Bibles says, There is a way which seems right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death. Proverbs 14: 12 We will never go wrong when we live our live by God's pattern. It's written in His Word. "Seek the old paths and walk therein. Do all in the Name of Jesus. Spend much quality time with Him each day, and much can be accomplished for the kingdom. I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go: I will guide you with my eye. -Psalm 32:8

God Has Not Forgotten
Have mercy upon me, O LORD; for I am weak: O LORD, heal me; for my bones are vexed. -Psalm 6:2 David prayed this prayer for every Saint of God. It's easy to suffer rebukes in kindness from God, but when His fierce wrath comes our way, it's another story. "Let it not be" we may cry. Recently we experienced many difficult days with both of our parents. It was so hard seeing them lose their strength and coming to death's door. Sometimes one wonders, "Has God forgotten us?" How long the days and how weary we became in grief and tears, but among all the sighs and groans the days somehow passed and God did not forget us.
Rest assured that God has not forgotten you in your time of grief. We may say, "How long, almighty God, how long" ? Visit us with Your grace and let it be our song. Just as David said, "graves can never praise the Lord, for all is dust and silence there." We may pray, "Let the despairing thoughts depart all that tempts our soul. God hears our humble cry, and will come to our aid, for He has not forgotten!

Have You Been With Jesus?
Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marveled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus. -Acts 4: 13 These men spoke with power, for they had been with Jesus. They had power to what was spoken and of which it was spoken of the crucified Jesus. They stood fearless before them. They had not studied in the Rabbinical Schools, however, they had a better learning. No, they were not unlearned or ignorant, but rather the very opposite. They had been with Jesus and that explained it all. God has used uneducated people like this through the ages and caused His Word to be brought before the world. Do you desire power in your everyday life? There’s an old song that says, “I’ve been with Jesus, and I’m so happy that I can feel it in my soul.” Spend some time with Jesus and you too will have more power to deal with everyday problems. Power to speak a healing word to someone in need.

Nothing Between
If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me. Psalm 66:18 How sad it would be to seek for Him, but not find Him. It’s very wise to let nothing between our soul and the Savior. In Song of Solomon 5:6 we read: I sought him, but I could not find him: I called him: but he gave me no answer. But we can have confidence toward God. And whatever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight. This is a much better way of life. The Lord longs to be in touch with His children, but He will not tolerate sin in our lives. He longs to hear our cries, and save us, but if our sins have hid his face from us, that he will not hear. Be sure to not let your sins come between God and you.

Flourishing Beautiful
The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon. Psalm. 92:12 The Palm tree gets is nourishment from beneath while the Cedar tree is nourished from above the ground. The Christian’s source of strength is like the trees. Our faith can grow like the Palm tree in the dessert sand, with a tap-root that receives nourishment from beneath. Beautiful and strong in the house of the Lord flourishing, because of the flow of strength from God's Grace. Like the Cedar tree our spiritual life can be refreshed from above with showers of blessings. Then we will grow strong and beautiful for Christ. Even in old age we shall continue bringing forth good fruit because we are planted deep in the soil of God's love. Give us faith to be strong and beautiful, so that we will be nourished from beneath and above.

Walking With Jesus
It came to pass, that, while they communed together and reasoned, Jesus himself drew near, and went with them. Luke 24:15 He's still in the midst of His people today. When we worship and praise Him, He is there. Where two or three are gathered together in His name, He is there in the midst. When we teach and admonish one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in our hearts to the Lord, He is there. We shall all give an account of every idle word that we speak on the day of judgment. We will be justified or condemned by our words, so let us walk humbly with our God, for He sees everything! Isaiah 65: 6 says, "Behold, it is written before me." They that feared the Lord spoke often one to another and the Lord hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the Lord, and that thought upon his name. Mal. 3:16

Are You Ready for the Bridegroom?
The Bible says: While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept. And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him. Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh. Matt. 25:5, 6, 13 This sinful world holds many temptations and side-tracks, so we should be faithfully watching for the coming of the Lord and abstain from all appearance of evil. It would pay us all to give diligent heed to do the commandment of the Lord, to love Him and walk in all his ways. We are to be wise, making our time useful for God. Our speech should be that which pleases God and we need to study that we know how to help ourselves and others. Let us serve him with all our heart and soul. Surely that day will catch many unaware for they have put off the most important thing in life. Blessed are those that are found waiting for the coming of the Lord. Are you ready?

~ In The Presence the Lord ~
I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy loving-kindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name. - Psalm 138: 2
In His presence let us come and stand in awe of the Most High Eternal God. Let us worship, extol and rejoice in Christ my Lord. Because He has redeemed me from the pits of sin. I pray each day that my life pleases Him, who has redeemed my soul from sin. In His presence, I find joy that I cannot find elsewhere. I find satisfaction and peace and understanding, while in His Presence. His truth makes me free. I am shielded from all evil in the presence of the Lord God. He is the temple! He is the place of divine indwelling, therefore it is good for our souls to worship in the Holy Temple of God. Get alone with God today and find peace for your soul.
In the Presence of the Lord There is joy and peace Let me ever more dwell Where all sorrows cease
In the Presence of the Lord The place of love and grace There is true satisfaction I long to dwell in that place
In the Presence of our Lord Let my eyes evermore gaze Toward thy Holy temple Until my heart is ablaze

No Shutdown’s
Jesus Christ's government will never shut down. Good news! Isaiah 9:7 tells us that “Of the increase of His government and peace there shall be no end!”One day soon the Government shall rest on Jesus Shoulder! Our worries will then be over. He will rule and reign over the entire earth. The Messiah's Kingdom shall ever increase more and more until it ultimately fills the world. Praise God! Let this old world do what it may, but my hope is in God. He has never failed me yet. I have great confidence that He will see His children through. So focus on Jesus for He is still in control of everything, and He will do great things for us.

At the Mercy Seat
Once, long ago when Israel lived under the old law, the way into the holiest of all had not been made manifest. But now, praise God, it is! It's a privilege to enter into the Holy Place of God. There we have access by one Spirit unto the Father. Praise God! Having therefore brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus. -Heb. 10:19 There before the throne we find Christ Jesus, whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in His precious Blood. There before the throne, one can find redemption, when they trust in Him. Then the sinner can boldly enter into the holiest by the Blood of Jesus. There at the throne of grace we find mercy to help in time of need. Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith. Faith in the finished work of Christ assures our heart of being free from an evil conscience. Praise God from whom all blessings flow!

Fear Not
The following was written by my husband's cousin, Johathan Arrowood this morning. Government shutdown!!! So what? Our trust ought not be in the government. Did the sun come up this morning? Yes it did. Were there clouds in the sky? Yes there were. Did the world explode? Not that I'm aware of. Then why worry and why fear? Don't fear man who has no power to add one cubit to his height. Man has no power to cause the earth to turn, the grass to grow, the bird to fly, or to create anything from nothing. But God can and does. So don't worry about it. It's not that bad. Don't let your heart be troubled. Have faith in God. If the lilies of the field are clothed, the birds of heaven are fed, and the stars of heaven shine...surely God will take care of you.-Matthew 6:25-34 New King James Version (NKJV) Do Not Worry
25 “Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? 26 Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? 27 Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature? 28 “So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; 29 and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 30 Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? 31 “Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. 33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.
