Spiritual Freedom Through Christ
If the Son shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed. John 8:36
And you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free." Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. I awoke last night with a verse on my mind. If the Son shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed. That is a very good awakning. We do not have to be bound by Satan's traps and snares. We can be free indeeed. Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me: then shall I be upright, and I shall be innocent from the great transgression. I will run the way of thy commandments, when thou shalt enlarge my heart. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.

God's Word
Then the Lord said to me, “You have seen well, for I am watching over My word to perform it.” -Jerimiah 1:12 As I have watched over them to pluck up, to break down, to overthrow, to destroy and to bring disaster, so I will watch over them to build and to plant," declares the LORD. Then said the LORD unto me, Thou hast well seen: for I will hasten my word to perform it. And the LORD heard the voice of your words, when ye spake unto me; and the LORD said unto me, I have heard the voice of the words of this people, which they have spoken unto thee: they have well said all that they have spoken. And he said unto him, Thou hast answered right: this do, and thou shalt live. God's Words are good to live by and die by. Choose life and live.

A Controversy
( A prolonged public dispute, debate, or contention; disputation concerning a matter of opinion.) FROM GOD'S WORD WE READ: Hear ye, O mountains, the Lord’s controversy, and ye strong foundations of the earth: for the LORD hath a controversy with his people, and he will plead with Israel. Micah 6:2 He established the earth upon its foundations, So that it will not totter forever and ever. The sin of Israel was known widely and unfavorably that the whole creation is summoned as a witness against them. "Then the channels of the sea appeared, the foundations of the world were laid bare by the rebuke of the LORD, at the blast of the breath of His nostrils. Listen to the word of the LORD, O sons of Israel, For the LORD has a case against the inhabitants of the land, because there is no faithfulness or kindness or knowledge of God in the land. "Come now, and let us reason together," Says the LORD, "Though your sins are as scarlet, they will be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they will be like wool.

ETERNAL LIFE
Now it happened, as Jesus sat at the table in the house, that many tax collectors and sinners came and sat down with Him and His disciples. When the Pharisees saw it, they said to His disciples, "Why does your Teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?" When Jesus heard that, He said to them, "Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. Go and learn what this means: 'I desire mercy and not sacrifice.' For I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance." Matthew 9.10-13 ~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~ Room at The Cross The cross upon which Jesus died Is a shelter in which we can hide And its grace so free is sufficient for me And deep is its fountain as wide as the sea. Chorus There's room at the cross for you There's room at the cross for you Though millions have come, there's still room for one Yes there's room at the cross for you. Though millions have found him a friend And have turned from the sins they have sinned The Savior still waits to open the gates And welcome a sinner before it's too late. Chorus There's room at the cross for you There's room at the cross for you Though millions have come, there's still room for one Yes there's room at the cross for you. The hand of my Savior is strong And the love of my Savior is long Through sunshine or rain, through loss or in gain, The blood flows from Calvary to cleanse every stain.

Life's Distresses
And David was greatly distressed; for the people space of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David encouraged himself in the LORD his God. 1 Samuel 30: 6 We too are sometimes distressed in life's situations and seems we do not know our way out. Like David we may cry out "The troubles of my heart are enlarged; Bring me out of my distresses. " Psalms 25:17 Deep calls to deep at the sound of your waterfalls; All Your breakers and your waves have rolled over me. Psalms 42:7 Paul suffered many times in distress in his life for God. For even when we came into Macedonia our flesh had no rest, but we were afflicted on every side: conflicts without, fears within. -2 Corinthians 7:5 For we do not want you to be unaware, brethren, of our affliction which came to us in Asia, that we were burdened excessively, beyond our strength, so that we despaired even of life; Indeed, we had the sentence of death within ourselves so that we would not trust in ourselves, but in God who raises the dead; 2 Corinthians 1:8,9 We can say with Paul in our trials --In my distress I called upon the LORD, and cried to my God for help; He hear us. In my distress I called upon the LORD, and cried to my God for help; He heard my voice out of His temple, and my cry for help before Him came into His ears. Psalms 18:6 We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not despairing; 2 Corinthians 4:8;We may feel as if our soul is trouble within and the Lord is hidden but we can cry out to Him and He will hear us. Job too was afflicted and he cried out -Though He slay me, I will hope in Him. Nevertheless I will argue my ways before Him. Job 13:15 When time I am afraid, 1 will put my trust in you. In God, whose word I praise, In God I have put my trust; I shall not be afraid. What can mere man do to me? Psalms 56:3,4,11 The name of the LORD is a strong tower; the righteous runs into it and is safe--Proverbs 18:10 O LORD, my strength and my stronghold, and my refuge in the day of distress, To You the nations will come -Jeremiah 16:19

Words of the Lord
The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Psalm 12:6
Compare the Words of the Lord to that of arrogant sinners. What a contrast! The Lord's Words are pure and we can trust them. They never fail and will always remain the same. They are pure, like silver and without impurity.
The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple. Psalm 19: 7-8
God's Word it to be valued highly and is a treasure worth laying up, in our hearts. If we have it only in our houses and hands, enemies may take it from us, if it is in our heads only, our memories may fail us: but if our hearts, it may then be delivered into the mold of it, and the impressions of it remain on our souls, it is safe
The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes.
The Words of God will stand when all else fails.
Prayer: Lord let me hide your word in mine heart that I might not sin against thee, so that I can resist the assaults of Satan. Help us to have warm regard for, and hide it in my hearts and then I will not lose it

Jesus Our Saviour
For these things were done, that the scripture should be fulfilled, a bone of him shall not be broken. And again another scripture says, they shall look on him whom they pierced. And after this Joseph of Arimathaea, being a disciple of Jesus, but secretly for fear of the Jews, besought Pilate that he might take away the body of Jesus: and Pilate gave him leave. He came therefore, and took the body of Jesus. And there came also Nicodemus, which at the first came to Jesus by night, and brought a mixture of myrrh and aloes, about an hundred pound weight. Then took they the body of Jesus, and wound it in linen clothes with the spices, as the manner of the Jews is to bury. Now in the place where he was crucified there was a garden; and in the garden a new sepulcher, wherein was never man yet laid. There laid they Jesus therefore because of the Jews' preparation day; for the sepulcher was nigh at hand. John 19: 36-39 A bone of him shall not be broken. Scripture was fulfilled that day. Zechariah prophesied these words many years before Christ came to earth. He is truly the Messiah. Zech. 12: 10 He guards all His bones, not one of them is broken. When the Roman soldiers came to break Jesus legs to hasten His death, they found that He was already dead. They pierced His side with a spear, and blood and water came out, indicating that Jesus was already dead. John's words can be trusted. He gives an eyewitness. Jesus is the Savior. The Hebrew text reads: like a lion, these vicious attacking enemies like animals have torn me. But he was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities: The chastisement of our peace was upon him And with his stripes we are healed.
-Isaiah 53: 5

The Death of Jesus
Then He Died And Jesus cried with a loud voice, and gave up the ghost. And the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom. And when the centurion, which stood over against him, saw that he so cried out, and gave up the ghost, he said, truly this man was the Son of God. Mark 15: 37-39
Our Savior was found guilty of Love and condemned to die. He died not in vain. He willingly laid down His life for you and me. He could have called the thousand angles, but He died alone for you and me. Jesus was in control of all His faculties until the moment when He voluntarily have up His life.
Jesus died and everything is different now. It was a historic moment. The veil was torn in two and we now have access to God. God Himself removed the barrier and no longer through priests and the blood of bulls and goats do we approach God, but through the torn veil. Jesus body was torn and broken that day. Now when the centurion saw what was done, he glorified God, saying, certainly this was a righteous man. The centurion was much startled when the veil of the temple was rent on that dark day when Jesus died. He too cried out and died. Truly this man was the Son of God. Jesus our Lord laid down His life that we might have eternal life. Glory to His Name
Down at the cross where my Savior died, Down where for cleansing from sin I cried, There to my heart was the blood applied; Glory to His Name!
Glory to His Name, glory to His Name: There to my heart was the blood applied; Glory to His Name!
I am so wondrously saved from sin, Jesus so sweetly abides within; There at the cross where He took me in; Glory to His Name!
Glory to His Name, glory to His Name: There to my heart was the blood applied; Glory to His Name!
Oh, precious fountain that saves from sin, I am so glad I have entered in; There Jesus saves me and keeps me clean; Glory to His Name!
Glory to His Name, glory to His Name: There to my heart was the blood applied; Glory to His Name!
Come to this fountain so rich and sweet, Cast thy poor soul at the Savior’s feet; Plunge in today, and be made complete; Glory to His Name!
Glory to His Name, glory to His Name: There to my heart was the blood applied; Glory to His Name!

New Day Dawning
And as soon as it was day, the elders of the people and the chief priests and the scribes came together, and led him into their council, saying, -Luke 22:66
When daylight comes the crowd would gather to begin. The kings of earth took their stand. The night had been long and dreary. Jesus had been tortured, but now day was dawning and new light is shining forth. New things are coming to pass The kings of the earth stood up, and the rulers were gathered together against the Lord, and against Christ. Against Jesus, whom thou hast anointed, both Herod, and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles, and the people of Israel, was gathered together, to do whatsoever the counsel determined to be done.Nations rage, the people plot vain things and this was the third trial. The first two were illegal, because they were held at night. This time it was held when morning came. It was early when Jesus was led from Caiaphas home to Praetorian. Immediately after sunrise things began to happen. Jesus was being put on trial for the sins of the world.
Arise shine for thy light is come and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee. Arise to beauty and holiness, joy and peace.Arise for a new day is dawning.
"Hosanna in the highest!" that ancient song we sing For Christ is our Redeemer, the Lord of heaven our King.O may we ever praise him with heart and life and voice, And in his blissful presence eternally rejoice!

Gospel of a Crucified Savior
For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.1 Corinthians 1:For the Gospel is the message of the cross. To one who doesn't know God it is a foolish thing. They are in the process of being destroyed, because they consider the Gospel to be nonsense. To those who believe in Christ it is very powerful and full of wisdom. It is a plan of redemption and a lifeline The gospel of Christ is the power of God to Salvation for everyone who believes. Paul was not ashamed of it. He experienced God's power in a mighty way. Rom. 1: 16 The natural man dew not receives the things of the Spirit of God for they are foolishness to him. He cannot know them because they are foolishness to him. Spiritually discerned. 1 Cor. 2: 14The un-converted person lacks wisdom and supernatural life. The Christian has the illumination of God's Holy Spirit with the capacity to discern divine truth. We study to show ourselves approved to God. (2 Timothy 2:15) We are unto God, the fragrance of Christ. Let the sinners around us smell the aroma of a victorious life represented for God. God will be well pleased when we are an influence for the gospel of God. It is the power and wisdom of God.
When I Survey the Wondrous Cross 1. When I survey the wondrous cross on which the Prince of Glory died; my richest gain I count but loss, and pour contempt on all my pride. 2. Forbid it, Lord, that I should boast, save in the death of Christ, my God; all the vain things that charm me most, I sacrifice them to his blood. 3. See, from his head, his hands, his feet, sorrow and love flow mingled down. Did e'er such love and sorrow meet, or thorns compose so rich a crown. 4. Were the whole realm of nature mine, that were an offering far too small; love so amazing, so divine, demands my soul, my life, my all. -Isaac Watts, 1674-1748

Glory In The Cross
THE CROSS MADE A DIFFERENCE IN ME!
But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world. Gal. 6: 14 I glory in the Cross-. Oh the shame He suffered for all. Christ has destroyed all power of death and hell. Christ now lives in me. I will glory in the Cross. I have nothing to boast of. I rely on my Redeemer. He paid a great prize for me. Nothing good have I done to deserve God's own Son. Romans 6:2 May it never be! How shall we who died to sin still live in it? Galatians 5:24 Now those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. Romans 6:6 knowing this, that our old self was crucified with Him, in order that our body of sin might be done away with, so that we would no longer be slaves to sin; Galatians 2:17 "But if, while seeking to be justified in Christ, we ourselves have also been found sinners, is Christ then a minister of sin? May it never be! Galatians 2:19 "For through the Law I died to the Law, so that I might live to God.
We are called out for a reason. Galatians 2:20 "I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me.
But God forbid that I should glory in anything else - 1 Corinthians 2:2 For I determined to know nothing among you accept Jesus Christ, and Him crucified. By His horrible atoning death on the Cross, Christ suffered and paid the ultimate prize for my Salvation. I will glory in the Cross. Things of this world should mean nothing. Let me be dead to them

That Dark Day When Jesus Died
And when the sixth hour was come, there was darkness over the whole land until the ninth hour. -Mark 15: 33 KJV
A great supernatural darkness seized the earth that day. Jesus was abandoned. This was a very dark day in history. The Savior’s dying cry that awful day was, "My God, why have You forsaken me, Why are You so far from helping me, and from the words of my groaning"? Here as these words were spoken He was at the lowest point. God forsook His only Son. No human can understand the significance of this cry. He was bearing the sins of the world and was forsaken.
Oh, the heavy load Christ was under, when he was making it an offering for sin. He did not complain that his disciples had forsaken him, but that his Father forsook him. He was made sin for us. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. Isaiah 53:5
Even creation noticed the importance of Jesus death on the cross that day for the sun was darkened. Our Lord Jesus was denied the light of the sun, while he was in his sufferings. God was withdrawing the light on the countenance of His only Son and that day Jesus was died for our sins. Thank you Dear Jesus. How can I ever say it enough, "thank you Jesus"!

Behold the Lamb of God!
On The Cross Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God -Heb. 12: 2 Glory and honor to the God of our Salvation. he endured the Cross for you and me. He hated the shame, but He focused on the joy before Him. The agonies of the Cross were horrible, but His attention was fixed on the crown, not the suffering. For His sake we bear reproach Because for thy sake I have borne reproach; shame hath covered my face. Psalm 69: 7 Christ did not please Himself For even Christ pleased not himself; but, as it is written, The reproaches of them that reproached thee fell on me. Romans 15: 3 He represented God. We too should set forth a good example. But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. -Phil.2: 8, 9 No one forced Jesus to die, but He willingly died, so that the sins of the world could be charged to His account Praise the Lord! Do not be weary in earthly trials but consider Him. We have a grand future because of the Cross. The God of our salvation, now ascended on high. Thou hast ascended on high, thou hast led captivity captive: thou hast received gifts for men; yea, for the rebellious also, that the LORD God might dwell among them. Psalm 68:18

Still Waters
He makes me to lie down in green pastures: he leads me beside the still waters.-Psalm 23: 2 Our Lord leads us besides the restful and refreshing waters. The peaceful streams of His holy love quiet our troubled spirits. Gently he guides us in times of distress and we have no fear, for He is guiding us along the path of life.
Come rest beside the pure sparkling waters of life. There is rest from toil and strife. After traveling through much danger, toil and strife we can come rest by the still waters of life. Many have come here after passing through the “valley of the shadow”. Here there is no need to fear for His rod and staff comforts us and we shall not be afraid.
He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shall thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler. Thou shall not be afraid for the terror by night; or for the arrow that flies by day; Nor for the pestilence that walks in darkness; nor for the destruction that wastes at noonday. A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.
Come, "lie down." and find rest for your soul beside the still waters of life. Let them quench your thirst, and cool your parching soul from the heat. -Brenda

New Generation
And also all that generation were gathered unto their fathers: and there arose another generation after them, which knew not the LORD, nor yet the works which he had done for Israel. And the children of Israel did evil in the sight of the LORD, and served Balaam: They forsook the LORD God of their fathers, which brought them out of the land of Egypt, and followed other gods, of the gods of the people that were round about them, and bowed themselves unto them, and provoked the LORD to anger. And they forsook the LORD, and served Baal and Ashtaroth. -Judges 2: 10-13 After Joshua's death there arose another leader. A new way of life which had no experimental, nor serious and affectionate knowledge of God, or of his works. They did not know the Lord like Pharaoh who said "Who is the LORD that I should obey His voice to let Israel go? I do not know the LORD, and besides, I will not let Israel go." Exodus 5:2 And like the sons of Eli who were worthless men and did not know the Lord.1 Samuel 2:12 Today there are those who have forsaken the good ways of God, which they have once known and professed. They live in sin, and have their hearts hardened. We need to examine how matters stand with ourselves, and to pray without ceasing, that we may be rooted and grounded in love, and that Christ may dwell in our hearts by faith. Let us declare war against every sin, and follow after holiness all our days. Let the next generation grow up to know and love the Lord.

Choose
Choose to Serve The LordIt is time to choose whom we will serve. We must make a deliberate choice. Does it seem unreasonable or inconvenient to serve the True Living God? And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD. Joshua 24: 15 As for me, I do not want to serve other gods of this world, but only the True Living God. And Joshua said unto all the people, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, Your fathers dwelt on the other side of the flood in old time, even Terah, the father of Abraham, and the father of Nachor: and they served other gods. -Joshua 24:2 It's time to make up our mind to serve the Lord. What is more real to us, - the living God or gods of the world? And Elijah came unto all the people, and said, how long halt ye between two opinions? If the LORD be God, follow him: but if Baal, then follow him. And the people answered him not a word.1 Kings 18:21 Ruth had a made up mind. She knew what she was going to do. And she said, Behold, thy sister in law is gone back unto her people, and unto her gods: return thou after thy sister in law. -Ruth 1:15 She said: for whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodges, I will lodge: thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God: Our God has a plan for those who serve Him. There are many blessings for His children For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the LORD, to do justice and judgment; that the LORD may bring upon Abraham that which he hath spoken of him. -Genesis 18:19 Go forward with a firm made up mind and fear not. Obey the Lord your God. "I am the LORD your God; you shall not fear the gods of the Amorites in whose land you live. But you have not obeyed me." -Judges 6:10 Choose God this day. If we deny Him then He will deny us. God will bless those who choose to follow Him and the choice will be the right one. We are bound for heaven and great is the journey

GREAT IS HIS MAJESTY
For, lo, he that format the mountains, and created the wind, and declares unto man what is his thought, that makes the morning darkness, and treads upon the high places of the earth, The LORD, The God of hosts, is his name. Amos 4: 13
The great God Jehovah who dwells between the cherubim looks down and beholds the sons of man from His transcended throne And he rode upon a cherub, and did fly: yea, he did fly upon the wings of the wind. He made darkness his secret place; his pavilion round about him were dark waters and thick clouds of the skies. At the brightness that was before him his thick clouds passed, hail stones and coals of fire. The Lord also thundered in the heavens, and the Highest gave his voice; hailstones and coals of fire. Psalm 18: 10-13 He is the maker of all things. God is all - sufficient, and we can trust Him. He will not fail us. We need not fear man but God. And I say unto you my friends, be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do. But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him. Luke 12: 4 5 He is the great God Almighty who watches all the affairs of men from on high. The Lord is in his holy temple, the Lord’s throne is in heaven: his eyes behold, his eyelids try, the children of men. -Psalm 11: 4 For, behold, the LORD cometh forth out of his place, and will come down, and tread upon the high places of the earth. Micah 1: 3 God is all -sufficient. We can surely trust Him. He will not fail us. The great God who reveals secrets for Joseph and Daniel knows and sees all things.I pray to glorify Him and to know Him better and grow in His Love and Grace.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. -John 3:16

Our Legacy
Lately I have been blessed to find many of our families ancestors. It is a feeling of joy to put together your life history and hand it down to the next generation, but what about the great inheritance and legacy we have with our Lord and Savior. It is great to be a part of God's great big family. In His family is everlasting joy and peace forever more.
