    Thy Sins Are Forgiven

And he said unto her, Thy sins are forgiven. -Luke 7:47

    The picture unfolds

    A woman of the streets

    Now the tension heats

    She enters unbidden

Her sins though are not hidden

    While Jesus is at dinner

    In the Pharisee house

    An Alabaster box she brought

And stood behind at his feet

She wept and washed His feet

    With tears from her eyes

    -------------

She wiped His feet with her hair

    She kissed His feet and

    Anointed them with ointment

    From the Alabaster box

Now the Pharisee did not like it

They looked on her as a sinner

    But Jesus looked in love

    Jesus had forgiven her

    Her sins that were many

    Were all forgiven, that day

    Her faith has saved her

Now she can go in peace

    ~ Book of Life ~

There is a very special book

    Up in Heaven's land

his book has names in it

    Names whom God chooses

John said no one could enter

    The New Jerusalem

    Unless your name is there

    Is your name there?

    Cherubs at each gate

Look into the Book of Life

    Looking for your name

Be sure your name is there

    New Jerusalem, our eternal home

    The Holy of Holies

    The Royal Priesthood dwells there

Be sure your name is there

And I intreat thee also, true yokefellow, help those women which laboured with me in the gospel, with Clement also, and with other my fellow-laborers, whose names are in the book of life. -Philippians 4:3
He that over-cometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels. -Rev. 3:5
And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. --Rev. 13:8
The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is.--Rev. 17:8
And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. --Rev. 20:12
And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. --Rev. 20:15
And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defiles, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or makes a lie: but
And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. Rev. 2:19

     that whosoever believeth in him

    should not perish, but have

    MERCY

Many are the mercies of our God. His mercy is measureless and as the sand of the sea which cannot be numbered. He has shown mercy many times to his children. The earth, O LORD, is full of thy mercy: teach me thy statutes. Ps. 119: 64. Let them now that fear the LORD say, that his mercy endures for ever. Ps. 118:4

Excellent is His mercy. As a father pities his child, so does God pity those that fear him. Ps. 103: 13. God is full of compassion, and gracious, long suffering, and plenteous in mercy and truth. Let Israel hope in the LORD: for with the LORD there is mercy, and with him is plenteous redemption. Ps. 130:7 It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. Lamentations 3:22

Rewards are many for serving Christ. He remembers that we are dust and shows mercy to us. His mercy is from everlasting. Great is His loving kindness. Our Lord, is good, and ready to forgive; and plenteous in mercy. Many sorrows shall be to the wicked: but he that trusts in the LORD, mercy shall compass him about. Ps. 32:10

Continue in the faith. It is not in vain serving God. live in his presence daily, grounded and rooted in the faith. By Him all things consist. Blessed be God, which hath not turned away my prayer, nor his mercy from me. All the paths of the LORD are mercy and truth unto such as keep his covenant and his testimonies. Ps. 25:10

Yearly God shows His mercies. They endure forever. He blesses our land and supplies our needs. He is rich in mercy, goodness and love. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever. Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. Jude 1:21

    Many excellent rewards continue yearly.

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16

    Will He answer us?

    Oh yes He will.

    He knows our troubles

    All our days

    ----------

    He is the reason

    For all things

He calls us to His heart

    Feels our pain

    Call upon Him

    He will answer you

    ~~ Water Of Life ~~

John 4: 13,14 But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.

Nothing on earth can satisfy or take the place of this great overflow of God's spirit in our lives. Water of earth is perishable and soon spent and needs to be supplied anew, whereas the "water" that Christ gives—spiritual life—is struck out of the very depths of our being, making the soul a fountain of His overflowing love and power. The indwelling of the Holy Ghost as the Spirit of Christ is the secret of this life. It satisfies completely and we never have to thirst again.

    ~Overflow~

Our life should be an overflow of God's power.

    An overflow of God's Love

Our life should be a life of continuous prayer

An overflow of love for God

Our life should reach out and touch others

An overflow of God in our life

Our life then will be a blessing to those around us

An overflow of God's Holy Sprit

Abound always in the things of God

    We will lack in nothing

Lord, let our life be a well of water

    Springing up to everlasting life

Nevertheless he left not himself without witness, in that he did good, and gave us rain from heaven, and fruitful seasons, filling our hearts with food and gladness. -Acts 14:17 Which executeth judgment for the oppressed: which giveth food to the hungry. Psalm 146:7

God has plenty of spiritual food to satisfy our soul. How wonderful to eat from the table of the Lord. He always provides the very best food, and we never have to leave hungry. Come and dine with Jesus, Feast on His table of delicious food, fresh from Heaven. We can grow up to be strong, feasting on His love, peace and joy and it will be a well balanced diet. Eating His diet we will be healthy and Holy.

    ~ Lambs Food ~

Food from the Lamb, is choice
It is indeed a balanced diet
Feeding on His Word, gives strength
    To sustain our spiritual life

Serve the Lamb to your family
They will grow up to be strong

    ~Sin Doesn't Pay~

.....be sure your sin will find you out. Numbers 32:23

Yes it can be pretty tempting to one, but is a very dangerous thing. Sin will get one no where, but into everlasting damnation. If sin had its wages now, one would not think it was so attractive. God does not desire that we spend eternity in hell, but He wants to give us eternal life. There is a much better way to live."Sin will keep you longer than you want to stay!"

Sin will certainly find out the sinner sooner or later. It concerns us therefore to find our sins out, that we may repent of them and forsake them, lest our sins find us out. It would be to our confusion and destruction then. For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 6:23

"Sin will take you farther than you want to go!"

"Sin will keep you longer than you want to stay!"

"Sin will cost you more than you want to pay!"

Sin is a problem! Sin doesn't pay!

    ~Children of Light~

But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness. Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.1 Thessalonians 5:4-6

This morning as I read this passage, I was inspired. We as the children of God are looking forward to the "Day of the Lord". It will not over take us as the non-Christian. It will come unexpectedly for them. Christians should not be spiritual asleep, but watching. The sinner should be motivated to repent and accept God's forgiveness for their sins. Those not walking in the Spirit will not be ready for that great day

The believer should die daily to the things of the world and live for Christ. We are not in darkness so that this day should catch us unaware. Christians should place their faith in Christ and love one another. We have the hope of salvation. We have everything to look forward to as we are the "Children of Light" and are not caught un-aware.

    ~Humility~

    Humble yourselves therefore

Under the mighty hand of God,

     That he may exalt you

     In due time:

    -1 Peter 5:6

Oh how hard it can be to humble yourself sometimes. We are commanded to do so. Be humbled by God's power so that when the right time comes he will honor you. "For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted." -Luke 14:11

The hand of God is in all troubles. He knows the way we take, and His grace is sufficient. We need humility in order to have peace in our churches and homes. Pride has crept in so many times and done much damage. Satan comes to devour and destroy souls. We must be watchful, diligent, steadfast, and unmovable in the faith. Cast all your cares on Him for He cares for you.

    ~God's Grace~

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Ephesians 2:8

The grace of God is found in His great love for sinners. He longs to do them good. Jesus offered up His body so sinners could be made pure and whole. God's grace is sufficient for every need. The grace of God brings salvation. His grace builds us up and gives us an inheritance in the family of God.  Through faith we accept His wonderful grace.  This wonderful grace appears to all men everywhere.

Thank you Jesus for Your marvelous grace.

    And everything is wrong
    Just bring your bucket
Let God fill it with grace

    Buckets full of  grace
    Grace for all our fears
And Grace for all our tears
    God fill up our buckets

    In times of trouble
    Do not turn from God
    Do not be angry
God has a bucket of grace

    Turn to God in faith
    And  in humility
    Ask Him to let down
A bucket full of His grace

    Sins hammering your heart
    Void of love and peace
    Let a bucket of grace
    Fall down from above

    ------

    O come! Do not linger
    His grace is sufficient
For all of your many needs

Fill our buckets with Your Grace

    ~Fear God~

Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil. -Eccles. 12:13

One of the major themes of the Bible is to fear God. When we fear God we will automatically turn to Him in awe. We will reverence Him and keep His commandments. We will serve Him in purity and shun evil. We will not worship anything else in His universe, but His commandments will be our goal because we love Him. Jesus summed up the commandments in one, when He said, "Love the Lord your God and your neighbor as yourself. Matt. 22

Keeping and obeying God's commandments makes us whole and complete. Life is now worth living and we have a good relationship with God. At the great judgment, God will judge all our works so death is not the end. Live life on earth in the faith, and with the eternal view of God's value, and then at that great judgment, He will be pleased.

    ~Joy Along The Way~

These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full. John 15: 11

We can have joy in life, although stressful days come our way. Though slaved by hopelessness, denial, failure and disappointment or even in danger, God wants our joy to remain. When our eyes are on Jesus and we trust in Him joy awaits for us. In His presence is fullness of joy. See God in all circumstance of life, even upon the dark days. He is working out a plan for us and will not put more on us than we are able to bear.

Sing for joy as the widow woman did when God gave back her son to her. Sing and be joyful in God all the day long.-For his anger endures but a moment; in his favor is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning. -They that sow in tears shall reap in joy-Be glad in the LORD, and rejoice, ye righteous: and shout for joy, all ye that are upright in heart. There is coming a time when we shall be full of joy forever more. -And the ransomed of the LORD shall return, and come to Zion with songs and everlasting joy upon their heads: they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away-For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands

    Sermon On the Mount

    ~The Beatitudes ~

1 And seeing the multitudes, he went up into a mountain: and when he was set, his disciples came unto him:
2 And he opened his mouth, and taught them, saying,
3 Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
4 Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.
5 Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.
6 Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.
7 Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.
8 Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.
9 Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.
10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
11 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.
12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.

    ~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~

God alone can give us these qualities. His grace and glory surely makes one happy. These blessings are the characteristics of one who has been saved. Check your life to see if you have them.

Blessed are the poor in spirit: The poor in spirit are opposite to the proud and haughty in spirit.

Blessed are they that mourn: God will help and comfort all who mourn whatever the case may be, over a lost loved one or when one mourns over sin.

The meek refers to those who have humbled before God. They will have Heaven and also share the kingdom of God in earth.

To hunger and thirst after righteousness. -These are those who experience a deep desire for the things of God. They will be completely satisfied. Psalm 107:9

The Merciful: A divine love brought forth by the Holy Spirit. Jesus showed mercy on the cross when he cried Father forgive them" Luke 23: 34

The Pure in heart are the ones living free from sin. The process of sanctification is ever conforming them to Christ. They will see Jesus.

The Peacemakers: Those who desire to live in peace, and are right with God. The peace they have enables them to be an ambassadors of God's love to a troubled world.

The Persecuted: Living a holy life can cause one to be in contrast to the world, as one who followers Christ is often persecuted. One is blessed by Christ when persecuted.

The Reviled: They reviled Christ an so they will do so to us. Through out history there has always been attacks of slander and persecution. We can rejoice and be exceedingly glad. The reward is great!

Afterward he brought me again unto the door of the house; and, behold, waters issued out from under the threshold of the house eastward: for the forefront of the house stood toward the east, and the waters came down from under from the right side of the house, at the south side of the altar. -Ezekiel 47:1

COME: Come to the waters of lives. The rivers of God flows continuously. Let the cool, refreshing waters flow from the door of your heart. Let them flow over your soul.  The streams of this river shall make glad the city of God. The Holy place of the tabernacle of the most high. God is in the midst of the waters of life.

COME: Enter the waters and cleanse all your sins away. This is living waters that come forth from the house of the lord. Come and be cleansed for the Lord dwells in Zion. The river is pure, clear as crystal and proceeds out of the throne of God and of the Lamb. Rev 22:1

COME: - Drink of these waters. Are you thirsty? He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. -John 7:38

    ~God's Eternal Purpose~

According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord: Ephesians 3:11

This purpose is not yet fulfilled but soon it will be. The eternal purpose Paul speaks about is to have creations of free moral agents who have been thoroughly tested and purged of all possibility of rebellion, so that God can show the exceeding riches of his grace toward them in all the ages to come, without fear of eternal rebellions.

In the ages to come Christians will sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. He will then show us the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. Christ will reign a thousand years and put down all rebellion. Then He will deliver the Kingdom to God that He may be all in all as before rebellion started. 1 Corinthians 15:24-28

And the LORD was with him; and he prospered whithersoever he went forth: and he rebelled against the king of Assyria, and served him not. -2 Kings 18:17

And the Lord was with him and he prospered. Hezekiah pleased God and stayed close to the Lord. He did not depart from following Him. He trusted in God of Israel and threre was no other like him among all the kings of Judah, before or afterwards. Yes he kept God's commandments. The people were not so good though. They worshipped strange gods. Hezekiah broke down all the high places. He was a follower of God. His name was great because he trusted in God.

    Cowper said,--

"The dearest idol I have known,

     Whate'er that idol be,

Help me to tear it from Thy Throne,

     And worship only Thee.

Are we known as followers of God? God will prosper us as He did to king Hezekiah, when we follow Him.We need to take heed and let no diol take the place of God in our life, then we too will prosper as King Hezekiah

    ~Say So~

Let the redeemed of the LORD say so. -Psalm 107; 2

How can we not tell of His Redeeming Love? We have reason to say so. The redemption of our soul was bought with a tremendous price. We should give praise to God always. Sing of His redemptive power everyday, and tell others. He did something that no other friend could do. "He has redeemed us unto God by the blood." - Psalm 107; 2

The Lord is good in all His doings. Whatever life brings, He is just and fair. Redemption should lead all Christians to tell of His love, in truth and faith. We have  the fullest proof of His goodness We are saved by the continuing stream of his mercy. "Let the redeemed of the Lord says so.” Like the song that Jack Holcomb sings, "I'll Tell it Where ever I May Go." It is our duty to praise God and tell it where ever we may go. We will never know the depth of His marvelous love.

I know thy works, and charity, and service, and faith, and thy patience, and thy works; and the last to be more than the first. -Revelation 2:19

We are God's hand of service to a world in need. We should not neglect to do what God ask of us. There are those who need love and counsel. How can we go to worship God at church, when we fail to do what He wants us to do. So many are suffering and need words of encouragement.
We must wait upon God to give us the strength, anointing and renewal to do His will for our life. Service to God is a work of love to Him. Mark 10:43 Says - Whosoever will be great among you, shall be your minister: We are to be servants to God

    God Corrects His Children

Thou shalt also consider in thine heart, that, as a man chasteneth his son, so the LORD thy God chasteneth thee. Therefore thou shalt keep the commandments of the LORD thy God, to walk in his ways, and to fear him. -Deut. 8:56

What king of Father would one be who corrects not his son?  So it is with our Heavenly Father. The Lord corrects those He loves as a father does his son in whom he has great delight.  It is a sure sign that God loves us.  When God corrects us and teaches us His laws we have rest from the adversity.  We are not condemned as the world is when we are judged by God.  Our inward man is renewed day by day and works out a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory. 2 Cor. 4: 16-17

Despise not the chastening of the Lord.  He corrects those He loves.  If He withdraws His leadership in our life, where might we be?

Let your favor shine on our lives Lord.  Our lives are in your hands.

    --Brenda

For God so loved the world,

that he gave his only begotten Son,

     that whosoever believeth in him

    should not perish, but have

      everlasting life

    Other Gods

And he received them at their hand, and fashioned it with a graving tool, after he had made it a molten calf: and they said, These be thy gods, O Israel, which brought thee up out of the land of Egypt. Ex. 32:4

God is not honored when we worship things. He wants our devoted worship to be to Him only.

These people in the wilderness, thought they would derive more joy out of serving a golden calf rather than God. They even claimed that it was their god that brought them up out of Egypt.  They had sinned and  turned aside against the Lord, their True God. They did not follow the ways of the Lord. Instead they rejoiced in the work of their own hands.

Our God is a jealous God and wants us to worship only Him, for He is the only true God.  All others gods will fall and pass away, but the Eternal God is our Savior.

     ~~The Glden Calf~~

In the Bible we are told

    A story of old

    Jeroboam made a calf

But it was not even half

A calf, was to be a god

    Isn't that odd?

    Our God was not honored

    But very dishonored

    Molten images will not last

To God we must hold fast

    Hold fast

Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised; -Heb. 10:23

We should never waver in the confession of our hope. Future bliss awaits the child of God. Ask yourself, "Is our example, worth commending to others?" All to often the Christian wavers in the faith. Our lives should point the way to Christ. Let us hold fast.

    Hold fast to your faith

Over and over go to God in prayer

Little do we know how many we can help

Dear friend, we must do all we can

Faithful is He that calls us

Arise, live a life that points to God

Sin and iniquities He will remember no more.

To not do so is to fail God.

     ~~Evening Visit~~

And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden. -Genesis 3:8

Adam knew a close relationship with God. Could it now be that their intimate relationship was broken. It seems so, for they hid themselves. Adam was afraid of God, so he hid from His Maker. God called to Adam "where are you". Adam heard His voice but was afraid.

God is always seeking for people today. Softly He comes to us today, longing for friendship. Sometimes sin separates one from God. God still seeks and wants fellowship with His children. He seeks for the youth who try to crowd Him out of their fun filled days. He seeks for the aged, who are lonely and depressed. He seeks for all to come to Him in the cool of the day and enjoy fellowship for a while. He tenderly waits for us to open up the door to come in and have a visit. Please let Him in.

    Heaven Awaits Us

Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. -John 14: 1-3 Kjv.

    Reflections

It is promised. It is a place of beauty and rest.
It is the eternal hope of the believer. All the redeemed shall live there. That's promise from God and we can count on it. There will be fellowship with God our Maker. There will be fellowship with the saints and friends and angels. We shall eat of the Tree of Life and drink from the cool crystal waters of life.

If we are busy now working to win souls we are gathering souls who will spend eternity with them in Heaven. We will never be bored. Our activities will be fellow-ship with other, eating, (Rev. 2:17) singing and praising God in worship. (Rev. 5:9) The great choir and many other singers and musicians will be grand. we will live a life of service and never be bored.

Our hearts do not have to be troubled today, just as Jesus told Peter then, We too today have hope. Jesus in now building His church and the gates of hell shall not prevail. When Jesus went away He sent us the Holy Spirit to dwell with us. We are not alone.
The glories of Heaven can be yours when you personally trust God as your Savior. You will then spend eternity in that land of bliss. We have hope and the promise of Heaven.

    ~~The Word of God~~

For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Heb: 4:12

The Word is quick or living. It reaches into the inner secrets of one's mind to discern even his thoughts and intents. God's sees man as necked and unable to hide behind any excuse or pretense. God is ever beholding our lives and knows every detail. the Word of God will stand when everything else fails and will carry us safely to our Heavenly home.

    LABOR DAY VERSES

Our labor for the Lord is: a labor of love (I Thes 1:3).
A labor not in vain (I Cor 15:58).
A labor known by Christ (Rev 2:2).
A labor God does not forget (Heb 6:10).
A labor which is to be done together (I Cor 3:9).
A labor for eternal things (Col 1:28-9).
A labor which is to reward (I Cor 3:8).
A labor done to be accepted by Him (II Cor 5:9).
A labor which doesn't have an end (Luke 10:2)

For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord,
plans to prosper you and not to harm you,
plans to give you a hope and a
    future

    It Shall Be Done

Again I say unto you, that if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father that is in heaven.

    --Matthew 18: 19

His Word is true. He cannot lie. It shall be as He said. When we desire and do His will and when we ask in His Name, we shall have it. When we do as He asks us to do, He is there with us, offering the same petition because it is His will. If any two shall agree in God will for our petitions to be granted when we are in agreement according to His will. The assurance of this is the fact that Christ will be present when two or three or gathered together in His Name. The united prayer will ascend and be made mighty by the intercession of God’s own Son, Jesus. By His presence it becomes His prayer
