Light Of LIfe

Your word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. -Psalm 119:105

God's Word supplies the way of life. It can guide us through the deep dark maze of life. God delights in showing us the way of life. Each of us should use the word of God personally, practically, and habitually, to see the way and see what lies in it. When darkness settles down upon all around me, the word of the Lord, like a flaming torch, reveals the way. Whenever in doubt about the way of life, let the Word guide you.

2 Peter 1:19 And we have the word of the prophets made more certain, and you will do well to pay attention to it, as to a light shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts.

God Breathed

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: -2 Timothy 3:16

In the Bible we find the revealing of God's plan for our life. It is his will for our life. There we will find instructions for fighting the enemy, correction, and encouragement for the times we feel low. The Bible confirms the doctrine concerning God, and the perfections of God, the creation and fall of man, Christ, redemption and pardon. Also eternal life and much more.

We should read the Bible every day to grow spiritually. Memorizing choice verses will be retained in our soul for the times in life we need them. The Holy Spirit will bring them to our memory. By hiding the Word in our heart we will find great strength in times of illness, and other situations in life.

Deuteronomy 29:29 The secret things belong to the LORD our God, but the things revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may follow all the words of this law.

Total Commitment

Mortify therefore your members, which are upon the earth. -Colossians 3:5

Total commitment to Christ is the key to living a victorious life. Living in the spirit of God each day, is the sure way to defeat the enemy. Keep our lives free from the love of money and being content with what we have is one good way to be content. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Living the Christian life is not a battle when we are in His will.

Ephesians 5:5 for of this you can be sure: No immoral, impure or greedy person--such a man is an idolater--has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.

Romans 8:13 For if you live according to the sinful nature, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live.
