Journals for A Reason
On that night could not the king sleep, and
he commanded to bring the book of records of the chronicles; and they were read
before the king. -Esther 6:1
Did he just happen to read about all the acts of power and
might that Mordecai had done? Not hardly. This was all brought about by the
providence of God. There was the full account of Mordecai, right before the kings eyes, written in the book of
the annals of the kings of Media and Persia. That night the diaries or journal,
in which memorable facts were recorded was read by the king, while just passing
the time away. This was the providence of our great God. It's an amazing story
of how the king just happened to not be able to sleep that night. God was surely
keeping him awake for such a time as that was.
He sees and knows about everything that concerns our life, too
and will make everything right in his timing. Leave it to our great God. He will
fix it for you, just as He did for Esther and Mordeca

Standing Firm
And it came to pass on one of those days,
that he was teaching; and there were Pharisees and doctors of the law sitting
by, who were come out of every village of Galilee and Judea and Jerusalem: and
the power of the Lord was with him to heal. -Luke 5:17
Here is a glimpse of the astounding effect the words and
works of Jesus. No doubt there were many as they are today who opposed and
fought the truth. The religious ones were by this time fully alerted to the
challenge of Jesus' life and teaching and their hostility made itself evident at
every opportunity. Nevertheless, the mighty works of Jesus continued.
We too should stand firm in what we believe and teach, even
thought there will always be someone fighting against it. God's word is true and
we depend on Him and His great power to be with us.

Rest
Oh that I had wings like a dove! for then
would I fly away, and be at rest. Psalm 55:6 God gives His children rest and delivers them from
afflictions. All one must do is cry out to Him for He is merciful and
able to help us, according to His good and perfect will. He makes reconciliation for the sins of the people. He
himself has suffered and now able to help those that are tempted and suffer.
When your soul is troubled and even longs for death, just know that He can
and will bring rest. Job
too longed for death, but God helped Him. Job said, "It is better for me to
die than to live". There is perfect rest, and it found only in Christ.
Remember, God gives His children rest.

My Lighthouse
“The Lord is my Light and my
Salvation.” Psalm 27:1
We do not walk in darkness no more for God is our
Light. When evil tries to come our way, we have nothing to fear for He sustains
our life and keeps us secure from all harm. Our hearts need not fear though a
host should encamp against us.
Even at
death's door, we have nothing to fear, for He is near, and will carry us
triumphantly through the sharpest trials of life. He hides us un His Pavilion
where we there sing praise to Him. There is confidence in knowing we
belong to God. Even in life's darkest moments, we can have quiet confidence of
blessed assurance.

Fishers of Men

Follow me, and I will make you fishers of
men.-Matthew 4:19
The sea into which the disciples were to cast their net was
first Judea, and then the whole world. The fish they were to catch were the
souls of men, both among Jews and Gentiles. The employment would still be
fishers, but in a much higher sense, because fishers for Christ is a better
employment, with a more purpose.
Christ is still calling today. "Come and leave your
worldly employments, and become My disciple. Come and partake of God's heavenly
employment. It is so excellent and honorable".
Why not come and follow Him. He will make you to become
fishers of men. Let your response be prompt and obedient like the disciples.
Working for the Master brings new meaning to life. You will never regret saying
"Yes" to Jesus.

The Household Of God
So then ye are no more strangers and
sojourners, but ye are fellow-citizens with the saints, and of the household of
God. -Ephesians 2:19 Our citizenship is in Heaven. We wait daily for the Savior
to come back to take us to our real home. What a privilege to belong to Christ
family. God's family extends far out and include all who want to be saved.
The household of God is much more higher and holier than
any other ever known on earth. It is built upon the foundation of the apostles
and prophets. Christ Jesus himself is
the chief corner stone. He is also the bridegroom, the forerunner, and the head
of the body.
I am happy to
report that I am part of this household of faith. You too can be a part of God's
family. Accept Him into your heart by faith and ask forgiveness for all your
sins. Love Him and live daily for Him. You
will become part of the heavenly family.

Someone Care
And David was greatly distressed; for the people spoke of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David encouraged himself in the LORD his God. -1 Samuel 30: 6
David strengthened himself in the Lord, because He was the only One that could help
him. That is true for us today also. The Lord is the only One to turn to when life becomes difficult. He is our stronghold and sticks closer than a brother. He is there to lift us up and encourage us. Jonah called to the Lord, when he was in deep distress and trouble. The Lord lifted him from the deep realm of death. It seems sometimes the church of today looks everywhere else except to the Lord, but God is our fortress and refuge. He will strengthen, and deliver us when the world seems cold and our friends few. He cares for our cares. Psalm 31:24 says, "Be strong and take heart, all you who hope in the LORD."

Good Things
Matthew
6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these
things shall be added unto you. Things
that we work hard for so often perish before we know it. If our treasure is in
Heaven there will be our heart also. When Heaven is near and dear to us, we
think often of its rarities and beauty that await us. We need not labor for
this, for it is our Father's good pleasure to give unto good things. Seeking
the Lord daily for His great source of peace and righteousness will cause us to
have many treasures over on the other side where we worry not, about thief's and
destroyers. All good things come from the Heavenly Father when we seek first His
Kingdom. Seek first the Kingdom of God and God will provide every need you may
have
