    God's Bountiful Blessings

Turn thou us unto thee, O LORD,

     and we shall be turned;

renew our days as of old.

     Lamentations 5: 21

As a new year approaches, I am grateful to God for his boun tiful blessings in 2007.
Some of yes had an awesome and triumphant year, while others had a difficult year with sorrow and pain. Never the less we march on into a brand new year, not knowing what it may bring, but one thing we do know, that God will be there for us, whatever it may bring. God has always been there for us. God's blessings are new every day. When we turn unto Him and obey His Word, He renews our days. When we live a live of forgiveness, without pride and love one another, we can count on God to be there for us in all our trials and good times.

God promised in Hebrews 13:5: "Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you." A good way for us all to start the New Year is to let go of grudges, pride and old habits that prevent us from being what God has planned for our lives. Raise our children up in the nurture of God and teach them to love God. Have faith in God, for He still answers prayers, and receive God's bountiful blessings for the coming year.

Let's ring it in with prayer and hope. God is with us and His blessings are renewed each day for us, when we obey His Word

    ~~ New Year Dawning ~~

    In comes 2008

    It's getting late

    Make haste

    Now is the time

    To grow in grace

    His Thoughts

    He Thinks Highly Of Us

What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?  -Psalm 8:4

We humans are but a piece of clay, animated by the heavenly breath of God. And when our breath is taken away, we are clay again by death. We are not worthy of the least Of all His mercies at the best. It is good to know that our Heavenly Father thinks so highly upon us. His glories are great but yet he takes time for us. He  ravishes us with the highest admiration, and takes upon him the care of the human race.We human beings, in the pride of our heart, sees it as no such great matter. A humble soul is filled with astonishment.

"Thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones." Isaiah 57:15.
Time is short. Eternity is long. It is only reasonable that this short life be lived in the light of eternity.

    My prayer is . . .

    My prayer is . . .
that I will always please God
    Proclaim his power and salvation
    Make known His love
    to my neighbors,---
    to my friends,---
    to everyone far and near.

    My prayer is---
To be all He wants me to be
    daily
    hourly
    momentarily
    and always
    His devoted servant

    Heaven

And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it. And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there. And they shall bring the glory and honour of the nations into it. And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life.-Rev. 21: 24-27

Heaven is a glorious place prepared for God's children. It is beautiful and glorious according to God's Word in Rev. 21 and 22. There the Father and the Son will be present in their fullest manifestations. The Shekinah glory of God will be the Light. This magnificent city will shine brilliantly with its adorned gems of every color. The streets of the city are made of pure radiant gold. John said he saw no Temple there for the Lord God Almighty are the temple of it.
There will be no need for locks on our door. The gates will be open. I can only imagine what it will be. There will never be a sinful thing to defile God's Holy City called Heaven.

     Heaven

    A place of unending happiness

    Saints enjoying God eternally

    Fellowship with Deity

    Evermore so lovingly

    Great delight and harmony sweet

Will be found with one another

    At the Savior's feet

    Love perfected

    Disputes will all be settled

    At the judgment day

All will be rewarded with Heaven

    Or condemned to stay

For the Christian, it will be grand

Entering the palace of the King

    Perfect judgment, realized fully

    New songs we'll sing

    Everlasting, eternal joy supreme

    Will last forever more

    Nothing to disturb us there

    On Paradise shore

Now to go to that fair place

    Something you must do

    Except God's amazing grace

    To make it through

    Try Jesus Today

    ~Try Jesus~

Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. - Matthew 11: 28

The greatest invitation in all the world is found in this verse.  To think that God the Creator of the universe, welcomes me to come to Him is the joy of my life. He invites all to come to Him and find rest in spirit and soul. Take his yolk of fellowship, and become His disciple.  There is so much to learn about Jesus.  He is meek and lowly.  He will take all your cares and bear them for you. We no longer have to carry our load of sin, for He is the burden bearer. Give Him a try and find out for yourself.

    Give Jesus A Try

    Are you feeling kindly lonely
Let Him be your one and only

Are you down hearted and sad
    Let Him make you glad

Are you longing for a true friend
Let Him, all your cares mend

    He loves you so much
He has a very special touch

Why not give Jesus a try.

    He is standing nearby

    Waiting, on you

    To start life anew

    Jesus is Born

Behold a virgin shall conceive and bear a son and shall call his name Immanuel
    Isaiah 7:14

A rod out of the stem of Jesse, a huge branch would come forth out of his roots. "Jesus" to whom the spirit of the Lord would rest upon. Jesus to whom would be given the spirit of wisdom, understanding, counsel, knowledge and fear. Isaiah 11: 1-2

     Come Adore Him

He is our Lord. O come
    Come let us adore Him

    Everyone who has breath

    Praise the Lord

He is good, kind and merciful

He gives us breath. We live through Him

    Celebrate Jesus

    Celebrate the Savior's Birth

Isaiah 7:14: Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel.
Matthew 1:22-23: All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet: 'The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel'--which means, 'God with us.'

And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn. Luke 2: 7

¯The Night Jesus Came to Earth ¯

    Holy Night, Holy Night

    When Jesus came to earth

    Holy Night,  Holy Night

    Oh what a special birth

The star shone bright that night

    When angels hovered low

    The earth rejoiced to see

That God would love us so

The wise men brought their gift

    To Jesus on that day

The gifts of gold and myrrh

    To celebrate the birth

    Holy Night, Holy night

    When Jesus came to earth

    Holy night,  Holy night

    Oh what a special birth

    Make Room for Jesus

And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn. -Luke 2:7

There is no doubt there was no room in the Inn when Jesus came their way.  Maybe the Inn keeper was not opposed to them, but did not think it mattered that much. It seemstoday  that many today are living without a thought of letting Jesus into their lives. Like the Inn keeper, they have no room for Him. We really cannot make it very well without Him. Someday everyone will want Him when He comes back to earth to reign as King of Kings. Be sure to make room for Him today.

    MAKE ROOM FOR JESUS

Sad news in Bethlehem that day

It did seem the inn was full of greed

A very special guest is coming this way

Not a place, will no one take heed?

Our Inns today are made of clay

Is yours dusty and damp with sin

Open the door, do not delay

Make room for Jesus, let Him in

Is your inn to full to let Him in

Without Him living in our inn

We will return to emptiness and sin

Our hearts is the inn, let Jesus come in

Make room for Jesus to stay

Let Him lodge in your empty heart

Make room for Jesus this very day

You can have a brand new start

    -Brenda A

Let’s make room in our hearts and lives for the Christ of Christmas.

    Shepherd's Visit

    Shepherds Receive A Visit

8 And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.
9 And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid.
10 And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.
11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. --Luke 2: 8-11

In the night watch of the fields of Judea the Shepherds were in the field. Suddenly a light shone around them. I can only imagine the excitement they must have felt. The Bible says they were greatly afraid. Can't you just hear their cries of horror, so loud that that angel told them to "Fear Not'. They were greatly alarmed. All families of the earth were going to be blessed through the angle's visit. The promise was given to the entire world. Those who were far off will have great joy. Promise of a Savior was great news. The Lord of glory to which every knee shall bow was coming to earth.

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, and The Prince of Peace. -Isaiah 9:6

    -----

    O glad and glorious day
    The arrival of the king

    Revealed to Israel
    The sacrificial Lamb
    The arrival of the king
    -----
    Prepare the way
    For that great day
    He’s coming again
    -----
    Christians shall see
    In great glee
The king will rule and reign

    Angel Visit

Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man?
And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God. -Luke 1: 34-35

Mary was overwhelmed at the announcement, but she accepts the role without question. Wonder of wonders to all around, God was using Mary to bring about His great purpose into he human race.  Jesus the Christ who was to become both God and man. Mary accepts her role when the angel Gabriel told her that nothing was impossible with God. "Let it be according to your word" verse 38. The work of God in Mary's life changed the world. Today we worship and adore this Jesus who was once born as a babe in Bethlehem to become the savior of the world.

    Quick Note

God is good all the time, Oh how I love Him!

You yourselves are our letter, written on our hearts, known and read by everybody. You show that you are a letter from Christ, the result of our ministry, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the Living God, not on tablets of stone, but on tablets of human hearts. -2 Corinthians 3:2-3

Just a brief note to let everyone know that I am very grateful for your prayers and concern. There is a void in our lives now that can never be filled here on this earth.

    God bless you all

    A CLEAN HEART

Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. -Psalm 51:10

It is very important that we have a clean heart in our daily walk with God. The Holy Spirit will not dwell in an unclean Temple. We must love the Lord with all our heart, soul, strength and mind. On our journey to Heaven it is important that we put God first in everything. Walter Smith said: 1824-1908

Yea, only as this heart is clean
May larger vision yet be mine,
For mirrored in its depths are seen
The things divine, the things divine.

It's not altogether about having a perfectly clean home, but about having a heart that is right before the Lord. Jeremiah 17:9-10 says, "The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?” I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings. On our journey home, our prayer should be," Create in me a clean heart, O God" Enjoy the Christmas Poem below on having a clean heart

    Ready for Christmas

"Ready for Christmas," she said with a sigh.
As she gave a last touch to the gifts piled high . . .
Then wearily sat for a moment to read.
Till soon, very soon, she was nodding her head.
Then quietly spoke a voice in her dream,
"Ready for Christmas, what do you mean? "

She woke with a start and a cry of despair.
“ There's so little time and I've still to prepare.
Oh, Father! Forgive me, I see what You mean!
To be ready means more than a house swept clean.
Yes, more than the giving of gifts and a tree.
It's the heart swept clean that He wanted to see,
a heart that is free from bitterness and sin
so be ready for Christmas--and ready for Him."

    God's Love For His People

HIS EYES ARE ON THE SPARROW, AND I KNOW HE WATCHES ORE' ME

Yea, the sparrow hath found an house, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may lay her young, even thine altars, O LORD of hosts, my King, and my God. Psalm 84:3

Such confidence these birds have that they will be taken care of. Sometimes they put themselves, and their offspring in the power of men. Often their nest is built under a doorway, the eaves of a low cottage, against the wall of a tool shed, or numerous other places that could so easily be destroyed, but God watches over them. They enjoy the rich provisions of his tender care; he thought of everything for their need, but there was is no fellowship between them and the Great Giver as we humans have.

Why should the sparrows and swallows be nearer to thy altars than I am, O Lord of hosts, my King and my God! "Fear not, ye are of more value than many sparrows." We can rest and be satisfied when we find and enjoy direct communion with the living God, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Let us turn to God as David did and find communion with God.

     “Overheard in an Orchard”

Said the robin to the sparrow,
"I would really like to know
    why those anxious human beings
    rush around and worry so."

Said the sparrow to the robin,
"Friend, I think that it must be
that they have no Heavenly Father
such as cares for you and me."

    King of Glory

    This King of Glory
Lift up your heads, O you gates; be lifted up, you ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in. Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle. (Psalm 24:7, 8)

The Lord of hosts, strong and mighty in battle, is the King of glory. Christ having conquered all his enemies, He is the one who fights our battles and delivers us from the hands of all that hate us, and so makes us victors. He is the Lord of hosts, that King who hath a mighty army always at his command, He stands ready to our commission, and He is our best friend. "Lift up, therefore, your heads, O ye gates."

We live in perilous times and we need a Savior. The wicked is out to steal, kill, and destroy, but This King of Glory is come that we may have eternal life.

The wicked worketh a deceitful work: but to him that soweth righteousness shall be a sure reward. As righteousness tendeth to life: so he that pursueth evil pursueth it to his own death. Though hand join in hand, the wicked shall not be unpunished: but the seed of the righteous shall be delivered. The desire of the righteous is only good: but the expectation of the wicked is wrath. -Proverbs 11:

Just this week I have been reminded of these scriptures. Someone in our neighbor-hood is breaking into houses and stealing. Two of our next-door neighbors have been broken into this week. They came to our door once. The bad thing is they are still loose with a gun, and have been seen. I am pleading the Blood of Jesus over our home, doorways and windows. No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD. Isaiah 54:17. God will protect us when we trust in Him.

In times like these we learn to depend upon this King of Glory more than ever. We cannot make it on our own. He is our refuge, and He is always watching over His own. This King of Glory is over all. He sees everything with His eyes of love. God will bring down the wicked and uphold the righteous. Open quickly, for "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him," - Revelation 3:20

    Jesus, Son of God

    Who Is Jesus

23 And Jesus himself began to be about thirty years of age, being (as was supposed) the son of Joseph, which was the son of Heli,
24 Which was the son of Matthat, which was the son of Levi, which was the son of Melchi, which was the son of Janna, which was the son of Joseph,
25 Which was the son of Mattathias, which was the son of Amos, which was the son of Naum, which was the son of Esli, which was the son of Nagge,
26 Which was the son of Maath, which was the son of Mattathias, which was the son of Semei, which was the son of Joseph, which was the son of Juda,

38 Which was the son of Enos, which was the son of Seth, which was the son of Adam, which was the son of God. --Luke 3 (Read the whole story)

Jesus is the Son of God we gather from theses scriptures. Jesus" and "Christ"  compose the Sacred Name. We give glory and honor to the Name of Jesus because it reminds us of all the blessings we receive through Salvation of the Holy Redeemer.

Jesus, Son of God came to earth and was born in a lowly manger for all mankind. At His birth the shepherds came to adore Him and brought gifts. He with His parents had to flea to Egypt from the slaughter of the innocent children. Jesus came back to Nazareth and dwelt there until He returned to Jerusalem to do the work of God. Jesus began a public ministry on earth at about the age of thirty. He was King of the Jews and He died on Calvary's Cross for our redemption. Mark 15: 25 Today He still lives and sits at the right hand of the Father and bids "Whosoever will" may come to Him for everlasting life.

    The Anointed Messiah

    Christ the Messiah

    The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me;

because the LORD hath anointed me

    to preach good tidings unto the meek;

he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,

to proclaim liberty to the captives,

and the opening of the prison

    to them that are bound;

     I-saiah 61:12

What a wonderful promise! There are so many who are broken hearted, but Christ Jesus came to heal them all. We can be free today from the bondage of Satan. God's love has made us free and we are no more bound.

JOHN THE BAPTIST ANNOUNCES THE ARRIVAL OF THE MESSIAH

And John bare record, saying, I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and it abode upon him. And I knew him not: but he that sent me to baptize with water, the same said unto me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending, and remaining on him, the same is he which baptizeth with the Holy Ghost.
And I saw, and bare record that this is the
. Son of God. -John 1:32-34

Messiah is the transliteration of the Old Testament Hebrew word pronounced maw-shakh, meaning Anointed One, which when translated into the New Testament Greek is Christos. Since the first century AD, Christ has been used as the name of Jesus of Nazareth. He was indeed Christ, The Messiah

Today the spirit of the Almighty wants to make you free, then you will be free indeed
