This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success -Joshua 1: 8

    Powerful Words

5 Behold, thou shalt call a nation that thou knowest not, and nations that knew not thee shall run unto thee because of the LORD thy God, and for the Holy One of Israel; for he hath glorified thee.
6 Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:
7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.
8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.
9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.
10 For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:
    11
So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.
12 For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.    -Isaiah 55

    Let Your Word Go Forth
    Isaiah 55:11

Let Your word go forth among the nations
Let Your voice be heard among the people
May they know our God, the only true God
Reigns on earth as You reign in heaven
May Your church be bold and speak with one voice
May our hearts be strong and never failing
May we know no fear, except a holy fear of You
    Our King.

    O Lord, may my life
Be an offering unto You my King.

    Worship The Lord

But as for me, I will come into thy house in the multitude of thy mercy: and in thy fear will I worship toward thy holy temple. -Psalm 5: 7

22 Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.
23 Sing unto the LORD, all the earth; shew forth from day to day his salvation.
24 Declare his glory among the heathen; his marvelous works among all nations.
25 For great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised: he also is to be feared above all gods.
26 For all the gods of the people are idols: but the LORD made the heavens.
27 Glory and honour are in his presence; strength and gladness are in his place.
28 Give unto the LORD, ye kindred's of the people, give unto the LORD glory and strength.
29 Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name: bring an offering, and come before him: worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness.
30 Fear before him, all the earth: the world also shall be stable, that it be not moved.
31 Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice: and let men say among the nations, The LORD reigneth.
32 Let the sea roar, and the fullness thereof: let the fields rejoice, and all that is therein.
33 Then shall the trees of the wood sing out at the presence of the LORD, because he cometh to judge the earth.
34 O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever.
35 And say ye, Save us, O God of our salvation, and gather us together, and deliver us from the heathen, that we may give thanks to thy holy name, and glory in thy praise.
36 Blessed be the LORD God of Israel for ever and ever. And all the people said, Amen, and praised the LORD. -1 Chronicles 16: 22-36

    Remember Me, God?

I come every day, Just to talk with you, Lord,
And to learn how to pray....You make me feel welcome,
You reach out Your hand, I need never explain
For You understand.... I come to You frighten
And burdened with care, So lonely and lost
And so filled with despair, And suddenly, Lord,
I'm no longer afraid, My burden is lighter
And the dark shadows fade...Oh, God what a comfort
To know that You care And to know when I seek you,
    YOU WILL ALWAYS BE THERE!

    Perfect Law of God

The law of the LORD is perfect,
    Converting the soul.
The testimony of the LORD is sure,
    Making wise the simple.
The statutes of the LORD are right,
    Rejoicing the heart.
The commandment of the LORD is pure,
    Enlightening the eyes.
The fear of the LORD is clean,
    Enduring forever.
The judgments of the LORD are true
    And righteous altogether.
More to be desired are they than gold,
    Yea, than much fine gold.
Sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb!
Moreover by them Your servant is warned,
And in keeping them there is great reward.

    Psalm 19:7-11

    Only Jesus Can Satisfy

Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passes away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abides forever. -1 John 2: 15-17

This world has many pleasures that are offered temporary, but the only long lasting happiness is in Jesus. The world cannot give rest for the soul, body and mind is what so many long for. The only way to get that rest is to enter into the loving arms of God. He invites us to come. Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. -Matthew 11:28 Come and experience His goodness and everlasting peace. He satisfies the sin-sick soul. Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. --Hebrews 10:22

The world grows wearisome, and we long to escape sometimes. It is then we need to come to Jesus. Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. -James 4:8 Who is he that over-comes the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God? 1 John 5:5Cast all your cares on Him today. He cares for you!

    Heavenly Wisdom Is Our Guide

"The Comforter, the Holy Spirit . . . will teach you all things." John 14:26

The Holy Spirit is our Comforter. He teaches, and guides us daily in all our ways. He shines the light of love into our heart and lets us know the truth that makes us free.

"I am the Lord your God, who teaches you what is best for you, who directs you in the way you should go." Isaiah 48:17.

We must pray for, and depend on the teaching of the Holy Ghost to help us. Here is the promise to all that are in the faith, - the Holy Ghost will teach all truth, which is needful for salvation. "When the Counselor has come, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth, who proceeds from the Father, he will testify about me. –John 15:26

Without the special teachings of the Holy Spirit as a personal and living instructor we cannot make it. "I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may be with you forever. John 14:16. Thank God for the blessed Holy Spirit who writes His own laws upon our hearts and give us power to obey them. " ...When He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth." John 16:13

    Pilgrimage Journey

By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went. _Heb. 11:8

Abraham did not know where he was going, but he put his trust in God. He was stepping into the unknown, yet he trusted in God. He was a righteous man and Jerusalem was his goal. He waited for the future yet unseen. He waited for the city of foundations whose builder ad maker is God.

We as Abraham wait today for our promise. We are pilgrims and strangers on this earth and Heaven is our goal. There is where our treasures are. We have faith to believe that God will be with us on our journey. We labor, watch and pray each day as we trust and obey. Some day soon we will receive the inheritance and see the land of promise.

    More Than Conquerors

For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. -Romans 8: 3-38, 39

There is no hostile power of the universe can lead us away. We can be confident of this.

Neither death nor a long, easy life; or any other creature can take away our love for God.

Things present, nor things to come can separate us from His Love.

Absolutely nothing here in this life can separate us from the love of God. Even with all the affliction and distress life  can bring. Jesus is at the right hand of God, gone into heaven, and angels, authorities and powers have been subjected to Him  God demonstrated His own love toward us, while we were sinners, Christ died for us.

The end will come, when He will hand over the kingdom to the God and Father, when He has abolished all rule and all authority and power. Complete and full salvation will be for those who believe upon Christ and are found in him.

We are more than Conquerors through Him who loves us.

    A Blessed Marriage

And the third day there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee; and the mother of Jesus was there -john 2: 1

Cana is believed to be twelve miles north of Nazareth. On this special day we see Jesus at a wedding. It was to be a glorious occasion with Christ and his mother and disciples being the main guests at this entertainment. Jesus would be performing His first miracle. Here in Cana was the beginning of his signs Jesus did in Cana of Galilee, and revealed his glory; and his disciples believed in him. John 2:11

The wedding was a happy time for all that day with Jesus performing a miracle for the people present. He showed His power to all present and gave them wine to drink. He turned the water into wine. Is there any doubt of his spiritual and saving strength and power?

The third day afterward he departed from Cana, but the town had much to talk about. Nathaniel lived there in Cana and Jesus talked to him before his departure. After the talk which he had with Nathaniel, he came into Galilee. -John 1:43.

Do you want Christ at your marriage? It is very desirable, when there is a marriage, to have Jesus Christ present at it; to have his spiritual gracious presence, to have the marriage owned and blessed by him: the marriage is then honorable indeed; and they that marry in the Lord -1 Corinthians 7:39. Invite him by prayer. That is the messenger that must be sent to heaven for him, and he will come: Thou shall call, and I will answer.

This wedding made history, and anyone who invites Christ into the marriage will have a blessed marriage.

    Going Forward

Brethren, I do not regard myself as having laid hold of it yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead. -Philippians 3:13

The prize is yet before us. We must make a constant effort to press on. Our whole life should be given to one purpose. Press on. Jesus said, "No one, after putting his hand to the plow and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God." -Luke 9:62 We as Paul must forget those things, which are behind. Especially the things, which we once counted, gain (Philippians 3:7), even all our hardships and sufferings. And reaching forth unto those things, which are before. The image is of one so eager for what is before him that hands and body are stretched to lay hold of it.

The way of those who mind earthly things may seem pleasant, but death and hell are at the end of it. If we choose their way, we shall share their end. The life of a Christian is in heaven, where home is, and where we hopes to be shortly.

    -Brenda A.

We must set our affections upon things above; and where our heart is, there will our conversation. Let us lay aside every weight, and the sin, which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus.

    Rest for the Weary

And he said, My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest. Exodus 33:14

God promised Moses wonderful protection and grace. God's presence spells everything one will ever need, in time or eternity. The Israelites would exceed all other people, through God's favor. It is good to invite the divine presence into our daily life. Nothing can substitute for the presence of God in one' life.  When we dedicate our live to the Master, His presence goes with us. He satisfies the weary ones and refreshes everyone who languishes. -Jeremiah 31:25

Today He is bidding us to come to Him for rest. The offer is not that of a man, but of the Divine Savior "Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. This is one of the sweetest passages in the New Testament. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. -Matthew 11:29  Are you feeling low? Find rest and peace of soul and feel the heavy burdens of life roll away.

    God's Delight

~ He Delights In Me ~

The LORD thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing. -Zephaniah 3:17

It is so good to know that my Heavenly Father loves me so much and takes great delight in me, even though I often fail Him. He never lets me down. Just as a Father delights in his children, God loves to watch us. He rejoices over us and quiets us when all seems to go wrong. Tears last only for a night and joy comes in the morning. He rejoices over us with singing. He that is grieved for the sin of sinners rejoices in the graces and services of the saints, and is ready to express that joy by singing over them. The Lord takes pleasure in those that fear him.

The LORD takes pleasure in them that fear him, in those that hope in his mercy. -Ps. 147: 11 In Him we find everything we need to make us happy. He is mighty to save and He knows the way I take. Who is this who comes from Edom, With garments of glowing colors from Bozrah, This One who is majestic in His apparel, Marching in the greatness of His strength? "It is I who speak in righteousness, mighty to save." -Isaiah 63:1  His presence working in my life is just too great for words to express

Thank you Lord for blessing my life and taking delight in me. Thank you that you love me enough to sing songs over me.

    God's Power

1 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.
2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.
3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.
4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. -Acts. 2: 1- 4

    Pentecostal Power
Today is Pentecosst. Pentecost is celebrated fifty days after Passover. It came to Jerusalem on this day when all the believers brought their first fruits offering. On this day they were sitting in one accord in the upper room, when the Pentecostal Power fell from Heaven. Suddenly the sound came from Heaven as a mighty rushing wind. The Power fell that day in a great way and they were all filled and began to speak another tongues as the spirit gave utterance. Today we still need this great power from God that gives us boldness. We need boldness to speak and live God's Word. Acts 4: 31

Paul admonishes us to “be filled with the spirit”. Eph. 5:8. When one is filled with the spirit they live continually under the influence of the spirit and have power of the spirit. The Word controls their life. Col. 3: 16 says to let the Word of Christ dwell in us richly. This will bring us to a life of purity, where we confess our sins and die daily to the things of the world.  We are to surrender completely to God and His Will daily. Then we have power to overcome life's temptations, because we are filled with the spirit. We have power to work for God and live in the conscience presence of the Lord Jesus Christ, by letting His mind through the Word dominate every thought and deed. May we all be filled with His Spirit.

    ----------------------------------

When one has fellowship with the world, they think and act as the world does
Be very careful to keep your life from getting in a buzz.
When one has fellowship with God, they think and act as He does.
Be renewed in "God's Word" daily to clear your life of all fuzz

    Abba Father

For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. -Rom. 8:15

We are Children of God by adoption. Jesus was the Son of God by nature. He is our Heavenly Father. It is good to be blessed with a good earthly Christian Father, but I also am adopted into God's family. Jesus purchased me and made me His adopted child. He gave me the Holy Spirit the moment I was adopted. I am His child and He is m Abba Father. I am heir to all His riches. What my Heavenly Father gives me does not compare to any thing this earth offers. His riches do not come from any human source. He is my Abba Father.

He is the everlasting Father and I will always be His child. God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father. (Gal. 4:6)One of the benefits of being God's son is receiving the indwelling of His Holy Spirit. This allows the believer to address God the Father in the same manner that Jesus did (Mk. 14:35-36). The word "Abba" is an Aramaic word used by Jesus (Mk. 14:36) and carries the idea of God being our "Daddy".  It is a term used for intimacy and affectionate fondness. It removes the idea of God as our strict judge and carries the idea of Him being a loving Father who cares, understands, and is our best friend. He is a father to the fatherless. Psalm 68: 5 He is also my Abba Father.

I am so happy to be part of the family of God. All His children are blessed beyond measure. He always takes time to listen to all our needs. Together we have an intimate relationship for He is my Abba Father.

Happy Father's Day to my Dad and to All Fathers

    GOD'S WORKMAN-SHIP

    We are God's workmanship,
Created in Christ Jesus for good works,
    Which God prepared beforehand
That we should walk in them.
    Eph 2.10

Let your light so shine before men,
That they may see your good works
And glorify your Father in heaven.
Words of Lord Jesus, Matthew 5.16

Whatever you do in word or deed,
Do all in the name of the Lord Jesus,
Giving thanks to God the Father through Him.

    God's Power

    ~ God's Power is Not Limited ~

God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good? -Numbers 23: 19

God is able to perform His Words. He never fails. He fed the children of Israel in the wilderness by providing meat for the 600,000 men and their families, for a month. He still has power to deliver just as He opened up the Red Sea for the Israelites. "And the LORD said unto Moses, Is the Lord's hand waxed short? thou shalt see now whether my word shall come to pass unto thee or not." -Numbers 11: 23

His power to redeem was indisputable by all the miracles He performed for them. His hand is not shortened today that it cannot save. He hears all our cries and will answer according to His time and will.

The Lord's power is not limited. By His wisdom and power He rules the whole world and even our lives. If He made the world and made us all, we should never fret and worry about the things in our lives and the world. Nothing is too hard for Him. He will take care of His own.

Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us.  Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen. -Eph. 3: 20-21

    ~ Good Medicine ~

A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones. -Proverbs 17: 22

You can usually detect when one's spirit is low. Their sense of humor seems lost and they have no song. Maybe crushed by circumstance they often do things they regret. One can have a happy heart with joy and sunshine. God can heal all the hurts and make whole. Then the sunshine of life will come back.

A cheerful heart does us good. A cheerful heartcontributes much to bodily health and vigor. A sad spirit dries the bones and wastes the marrow. Then it is as if we are exhausted. The moisture and strength of the body is dried up. God wants us to be happy, and cheerful. By his grace he can make us cheerful.

Spread words of cheer and encouragement to someone today. Be happy and mend the broken heats and tell of His love. Let Jesus come and lift the heavy load when you fall low.

...Whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved. -Acts 2:21

    God's Instructions

    HELP THE POOR AND NEEDY

He who has pity on the poor,
    Lends to the LORD.
God will pay back what he has given.
    Proverbs 19;17

Then the righteous will ask Christ,
"Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you? Or thirsty and give you something to drink?
When did we see you a stranger and invite you in? Or needing clothes and clothe you?
When did we see you sick or in prison,
    And go to visit you?"

    King Jesus will reply,
Whatever you did for one of the least of these,
    You did for me."

    He Will Soon Come

HE WILL COME BACK TO EARTH AGAIN

And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight. And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, who is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven. -Acts 1:9-11

Today is Ascension Day and we remember the story of how He was taken up.

Christ had promised the full power of the Holy Spirit, with whom he would govern his church. He led them out as far as Bethany, and He lifted up His hands and blessed them. While He was blessing them, He parted from them and was carried up into heaven

His disciples must have been very astonished. He vanished out of their sight, in a cloud, a thick cloud. God had often come down in a cloud; now he went up in one. Why stand we

here gazing and trifling. The thoughts of our Master's second coming should quicken and awaken us: when we stand gazing and trembling, they should comfort and encourage us. May our expectation of it be joyful, giving diligence to be found of him blame-less.

This was the last that was seen of him. The eyes of a great many witnesses followed him into the cloud. The Son of man went away into the clouds of heaven. This same Jesus, WHO HAS BEEN TAKEN FROM YOU INTO HEAVEN, WILL COME BACK IN THE SAME WAY YOU HAVE SEEN HIM GO INTO HEAVEN." This same Jesus, WHO HAS BEEN TAKEN FROM YOU INTO HEAVEN, WILL COME BACK IN THE SAME WAY YOU HAVE SEEN HIM GO INTO HEAVEN."

For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.

Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also, which pierced him: and all kindred of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.

    We have something to celebrate.

    HE WILL COME AGAIN.

    ONLY ONE TRUE GOD

Then Paul stood in the midst of Mars' hill, and said, ye men of Athens, I perceive that in all things ye are too superstitious. For as I passed by, and beheld your devotions, I found an altar with this inscription, TO THE UNKNOWN GOD. Whom therefore ye ignorantly worship, him declare I unto you.Acts 17:22-23 -- Read the whole story in  22-31

There upon Mars Hill stood Paul speaking to the men of Athens. He declares the one true God to them. That Hi is transcendent above His creation. Verse 24,25. That He is the true sovereign God and involved in the affairs of all people. God is near them and those who seek Him will find Him. Verse 27,28. Paul declared unto the people that there was only one true God.

God has placed within each of us a yearning to seek and worship Him. When we see the definite revelation from God we will worship Him only. Everyday we can have fellowship with the One and only true God. He sent His only Son to demonstrate His love for us. It is our responsibility to respond and follow. Do you hear the small still voice today?

    MARS HILL MESSAGE

Upon Mars Hill one day stood Paul

Bringing a welcome message for all

Scant knowledge of God they had

The True God who makes one glad

Paul declares to them that day

That the true God is not far away

Determine now the true God to follow

No more in sin's dumps to wallow

You'll be so glad you made the choice

Each new day you can hear His voice

What a difference it makes when on

Decides that from other gods to shun

After all there is only one true God

It should not seem so very odd

God puts a longing deep in our soul

For the only one who can make whole

    Strong In The Word

Let my heart be sound in thy statutes; that I be not ashamed. My soul faints for thy salvation: but I hope in thy word. Mine eyes fail for thy word, saying, When wilt thou comfort me? For I am become like a bottle in the smoke; yet do I not forget thy statutes. How many are the days of thy servant? when wilt thou execute judgment on them that persecute me? The proud have dug pits for me, which are not after thy law. All thy commandments are faithful: they persecute me wrongfully; help thou me. They had almost consumed me upon earth; but I forsook not thy precepts. Quicken me after thy loving-kindness; so shall I keep the testimony of thy mouth. For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven. - Psalm 119: 8o-89

The Word, our ever great source of hope. David said his soul would faints for God's salvation, but he had hope in God's Word. He looked for comfort in the Word. the blessed promises of God will not fail. God is the strength of His people . He will not fail us and He continually guides us with His loving counsel.

From generation to generation, His Word is the same. He leads us along the roads of life and we find comfort in God's Word. We find healing for our bodies in the Word. We find peace for our weary minds in the Word. He is a God of compassion and His mercies fail not. Hope in God's Word keeps us from fainting and giving up. Heb. 12:3 says ---For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds. The Word is our source of joy and all comfort for whatever need we may have. Look  to God's Word. He will never fail us.
