This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success -Joshua 1: 8

    The Dogwood Legend

•”He said to them all, ‘If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me. For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will save it. For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and is himself destroyed or lost? For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words, of him the Son of Man will be ashamed when He comes in His own glory…” Luke 9:23-26

    The Dogwood Legend

    When Christ was on earth,
    The dogwood grew to a
    Towering size with lovely hue.
Its branches were strong and interwoven
    And for Christ’s cross
    Its timbers were chosen.
Being distressed at the use of this wood,
    Christ made a promise
    Which still holds good:

“Not ever again shall the dogwood grow
To be large enough for such a tree,
    And so slender and twisted
It shall always be with cross-shaped

    Blossoms for all to see.
    The petals shall have bloodstains
Marked in brown and in the
    Blossom’s center a thorny crown.
All who see it will think of Me,
Nailed to a cross from the dogwood tree.
Protected and cherished this tree shall be
A reflection to all of my agony.”

    Let’s just praise the Lord!

And when he was come near, even now at the descent of the mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works that they had seen; Saying, Blessed be the King that comes in the name of the Lord: peace in heaven, and glory in the highest. -Luke 19:37-38

On this Palm Sunday we are reminded of the words: "Blessed be he that cometh in the name of the Lord,...." These words were used by the multitude that followed Christ, as he went into Jerusalem, in order to eat his last pass-over, and suffer and die for his people. Christ, accepted the praises of the people on that first Palm Sunday.

The Pharisees would try to silence the praises of Christ, but they could not. God can raise up anything He chooses to praise Him. If we do not praise the Lord, the rocks will do it in our stead. And he answered and said to them, I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out. Let it never be said of us today, that we would not praise the Lord, for He is coming again soon in glory to judge the world!

    Let’s just praise the Lord!

    Instructions From God

I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go: I will guide you with my eye. -Psalm 32:8

How great that the Lord himself deigns to teach his children and even the sinners to walk in the way of integrity,  of his holy word.
Psalm 25:8 Good and upright is the LORD; therefore he instructs sinners in his ways.

The sweet Holy Spirit directs our daily conversation.  It is a beautiful thing to be the sheep of his pasture, following the guidance of his wisdom.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Psalm 34:11 Come, my children, listen to me; I will teach you the fear of the LORD.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Psalm 73:24 You guide me with your counsel, and afterward you will take me into glory.

    Fret Not

Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not yourself in any wise to do evil.- Psalm 37:8

Satan just loves for the Chritian to be wrapped up in in frets and circumstances of life, that pull them down. God's Word has told us how to out-smart him though.

Do not allow your mind to become so excited that you will indulge in harsh remarks or activity. When that small thing irritates you see  that it does not ruin your disposition.

Instead just start praying and hold fast. Our conduct can be the means of leading us into sin or to God. When we give way to fretfulness, it can lead to other sins. Let us look unto God, He will help us.

---Ephesians 4:31 Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice

---Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. -Hebrews 12:2

    Winter Past, Flowers Appearing

    See! The winter is past;
the rains are over and gone.

    Flowers appear on the earth;
the season of singing has come,
    the cooing of doves
    is heard in our land.
    -Song of Songs 2:11-12 NIV

In a spiritual sence, "winter" may mean years passed in ignorance and sin, unfruitful and miserable, or storms and tempests that accompanies  conviction of guilt and danger.
The gentle Dove represents the Spirit of God
God's divine favor can take care of all our sins and mistakes.
Arise then, and come away from the world and the flesh.
Come into sweet fellowship with Christ.

    I Must Tell Jesus

Unto you I lift up my eyes, O you that dwell in the heavens.-Psalm 123:1

Where else can we turn to? Our only hope is in the Lord. What a privilege it is to bring all our needs to the Lord. From his throne, He hears every one of his children's cries, and answers accordingly. He sees us all each day from His holy temple. Let us fix our eyes on the Sovereign Lord, and take refuge in Him alone.

When we are in trouble, and don't know what to do, just look unto God.The enemy will not help us.
When we need mercy, look unto God. He longs for us to call on Him.
He alone can help us. He is our Master and He cares for you.
We must tell Jesus all of our problems, for we cannot bear all the eartly problems alone.

    Preserved

Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to eternal life. -Jude Verse 21

When we have the love of God in our hearts, we do not want to sin. We want to do the things that pleases God. We are to keep ourselve in the love of God. God is merciful and will help us when we stray. Live a holy live and pray everyday .Meditate daily on the word of God and grow thereby. We will then be preseved by the Love of God.

2 Corinthians 13:14 May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Titus 2:13 while we wait for the blessed hope--the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ.

    Dont despise a single minute
Each has sixty seconds in it
Do not waste it or abuse it
If you pray, your little minute
    Has eternal value in it.
