IN GOD'S PRESENCE

Time spend in God's presence is time well spent . It is there that we gain a heart of wisdom. We go forth knowing that whatever comes our way during the day, we can handle it.

Time spent with God gives us a glimpse of His glorious majesty and wondrous works. God honors our time spent with Him as His eyes are over the righteous. He knows those who trust in Him and will show Himself strong on their behalf. Talk of His awesome works. Declare His greatness. Spend time in God's presence and receive strength to go forward

SUNSHINE IN THE SOUL

 Blessed are the people that know the joyful sound, they shall walk O Lord in the light of thy countenance. - Psalm 89:15            

How blessed to walk in the sunshine of His love. It may be that the sunshine in your life has been darkened. When days are weary and nights are dreary, we need only to give it all to Jesus. Take your burdens to the Lord and leave them there, for He did not intend for us to carry life's heavy load alone. Oh! the blessedness of the people that know the joyful sound. Come walk in His Light!

Remember God's Word says, 'His countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength, and I fell at His feet as dead. And He laid His hand upon me and said, Fear not! I am He that liveth and was dead; and behold! I am alive for ever more.'

Oh let us always put our trust in the Eternal Light that was manifest in Christ, then we'll be able to walk in the sunshine of His face on earth and be a Light to others. Remember, God's Light will shine for us in the darkness of life and on into eternity, for He is the Son-shine of life, blazing big for all who desire to follow. Walk close to His side.

A BRIGHT FUTURE

For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away. -James 4:14

A little girl was asked why she was working so very hard. She replied, "My candle is almost burned out, and I have not got another." Life is as a candle burning out. Sometimes there is a thief in it, a disease consuming it more quickly, or it may be blown out, suddenly extinguished; and we have not got another. -D. Wise

We are all upon this earth for just a little while and then we go to our long home. Job said our life is like the wind, here today and gone tomorrow. We ought to make each moment count for good, for soon the clouds of life will gather and our life, as it is now will be no more.

Glorify God and make every minute count. Sing praises to the One who loves us and has prepared a home for us in Heaven so we can spend eternity with Him. The future will look brighter.

COMING IN THE CLOUDS

Hereafter shall ye see the Son of Man sitting on the right hand of power and coming in the clouds of heaven. -Matthew 26:64

Jesus the Son of God is at the right hand of God and reigns forever more. All glory to God. People no longer will have to wonder in darkness. Jesus has power to save and deliver. He is the Beloved, Son of God and well, pleasing to the Father. One day soon Jesus is coming back to earth. the heavens will open and every eye shall see Him as He comes in glory and power. every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.

Get ready to live with Him forever in the land of endless day. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. -John 3:16

WALK IN THE LIGHT

But he that hates his brother is in darkness. -1 John 2:11

It is sin that causes hatred one toward another. Sin will take one down the wrong path of life. When one lives in sin, they are in darkness and does not know their way. They are the same as a murderer, and a liar when they say they love God.

 We cannot withhold love from one another and love God. We will demonstrate His love. Love will keep us from doing any wrong to others, from giving any cause of offence to others, or from doing anything whereby they may be led astray or caused to stumble. "Love worketh no ill to his neighbor."

Good news for all who practice hared! There is forgiveness for you and then you will no longer live in this awful nature. Why continue walking in darkness knowing not where you go. Step out of the darkness into the marvelous Light today. It will destroy the hatred and make you love everybody.

THE WAY OF THE CROSS

            Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof, from such turn away. -2 Timothy 3:5            

Does your prayer-less life leave you unsupplied with communion with God. Fellowship with the world, will rob one of the Divine life. Remaining will only be a mere religion without power or spiritual life. Today's world is much of that. Without God's power a service is worthless. Why waste time on any thing else? How can people profess to know God, but by their works they deny Him? We must beware of all the false teaching in our society and turn away from anything that is contrary to Scripture, lest we deny the true faith. Go unto God, who is a quickening Spirit, and allow Him to quicken the dead heart as David did. God can make dry bones to live.

The way of the Cross is the only way that leads home, to the endless day of rest. Dear friends, withdraw yourself from every disorderly person that does not follow after righteousness. Turn away from those of corrupt teaching for they do not know the real truth. Godliness is not a means of financial profit as some teach. Withdraw and head for godliness which comes from God's Word. The way of the Cross leads home.

THE LOVE OF MONEY

For the love of money is the root of all evil. -1 Timothy 6:10 

What is your goal in life? Too many folks it is to strive after more money. They love it and it seems they can never get enough of it. It is the source of all kinds of evil. It causes many to depart from the truth of God's Word, as this is their only goal in life - to make more money. 

It is so sad that some would stray away from the faith, all because of the dollar. They can never get enough of it. We should be content having food and raiment. There are many pit falls to the rich. It causes hurt and evil doings, lust and then they are drowned in destruction. Follow after good things and live happy righteous and godly. God will supply all your needs, and you will receive eternal life. We brought nothing into this world and it is certain we will carry nothing out.

We Need More Godly Mothers

The following is an article our youngest son Mark wrote in grammar school and 

it was published in the local newspaper. I treasure it to this day. Enjoy

I think my mom is the best because she doesn't try to be anyone else

She treats everyone fairly.  I could give you minor details like giving

me chocolate stuff but that does not make her the best.  She cooks

good meals for me and buys me things I need.  She understands how

I feel when I'm hurting.  So I proudly dedicate this poem I made up

about my mother.

We love you

You are the very best

You are the only one

Better then all the rest

Then spoke the woman whose the living child was unto the king, for her bowels yearned upon her son, and she said, O my lord, give her the living child, and in no wise slay it. But the other said, Let it be neither yours, nor mine but divide it. 1 Kings 3:26

This is truly the heart of a loving mother. This woman that came to Solomon with her friend was the love that made her give up her own child rather than see it die. She would rather endure the rigor of the law than see her child cruelly slain. How we need more Mothers like this today. Compassionate mothers can be a blessing as they overflow with a heart of Godly love.

MADE PURE BY THE WORD

 Let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit perfecting holiness in the fear of God. 2 Corinthians 7:1 We are made pure and clean through the Word. It is so important that the Word be taught, as it brings salvation. Without God we are most miserable. The Word of God brings hope of eternal life. When Jesus comes we shall be changed, but now we are made pure and Holy through the Word of God.

It is the pure in heart that will see God. I wont to see Him and look upon His face. Our love is made perfect by dwelling in Christ and Him living in us. Therefore we are assured that we do not have to live in fear of the coming judgment. Live in love and be purified through the blessed Word of God.
