    He Leads Us Along

    He Leads

      Lead means to guide someone or something along a way or go first.

    Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
    In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. -Proverbs 3: 5-6

    He leads us. Just trust Him. Without Him as our guide we will wonder aimlessly

    Even in the darkest day, He is there beside us, holding our hand and making the crocked ways straight. We need you Lord.

    Lighter grows our heart, when we trust in Him. We trust you completely.

    Even though we are not always aware of it, He is there, bearing our burdens. We rely on you Lord.

    All along the way He leads. We cannot find the way unless He directs. His roadmap is the Word. It tells us all we need to know. We do not understand without God's Spirit helping us. We heed your Word Lord.

    Dear God, Help us to trust in You completely for our guidance day by day and make You known where ever we go. Help us to acknowledge you and you shall direct our paths.
    Surely you are with us always and we trust you, just as the Word says. Thank You Lord. You are so wonderful!

    A Promise From God

    God's Promise to Come Back Is Not Slack

    1 This second epistle, beloved, I now write unto you; in both which I stir up your pure minds by way of remembrance:
    2 That ye may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Savior:
    3 Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,
    4 And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.
    5 For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water:
    6 Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:
    7 But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.
    8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
    9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. - 2 Peter 3: 1-9 KJV

    All things continue as they did. That's what the world says. God created the universe by His Word. His Word sustains the world.

    The delay of God's judgment is not slackness but longsuffering so that no one should perish.

    Praise the Lord! He is coming! The Lord WILL fulfill His Word. Be ready!

    Remember how He said there would be doubters? Do not lose hope, but look up.

    Only the “pure in heart” shall see God, so stir up the pure mind. Knowledge without obedience is dangerous.

    Many will soon forget that judgment and destruction is surely coming. "Watch and Pray".

    It is written in God's Word, "I am with you always even to the end"

    Scoffers deny the Second Coming saying." Nothing of the nature has ever occurred"

    Even though it may seem slow, His timing is perfect. God will accomplish His purpose and promise

    Our Hiding Place

    I sought the LORD, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.
    They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed.
    This poor man cried, and the LORD heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles.
    The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.
    O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him -Psalm 34: 4-8 KJV

    Trust comes from a Hebrew word that means "to take refuge" in or "to hide in" It suggests a secret place of concealment

    God is One we can trust completely.  he is our surety. The only safe place we have to hide is in God Himself. When troubles, anguish, and calamities come, we should run into His presence in prayer and remain there.

      Psalm 57: 1 says" Be merciful unto me, O God, be merciful unto me: for my soul trusts in thee: yea, in the shadow of thy wings will I make my refuge, until these calamities be over-past." He is our refuge.  There we are safe and blessed. Safety for the Christian is found in the presence of God. He can lead us from calamity to calm.

    God hears us when we call and we can be brave in times of trouble . Yes the Lord will save anyone who trust in Him. A band of angels will encamp round us when we fear Him. He will hide us until the dangers are past.

    Thou blest "Rock of ages," I'm hiding in Thee.

    HIDDEN IN CHRIST

    For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. Colossians 3:3

    We are dead to the things on earth. And our real, spiritual life is hid from the world, and laid up in God, with Christ - Who hath merited, promised, prepared it for us, and gives us the earnest and foretaste of it in our hearts.

    Your life is hid with Christ in God -

    Our treasure which is "hid" or concealed in a place of security; Christ is our treasure; and where our treasure is, there is our heart. We are part of the body of Christ. We are hidden in it like in a vault, a treasure house, and a place to keep valuables securely and safely, where they will not be stolen or in any way degraded.

    If we are truly seeking those things that are above, and we are truly "in Christ," then our life is hidden in God.

    How wonderful!

    When the troubles of life surround us we will not fear. In the shadow of his wings, we'll be hidden.

    To be hid in Christ means we don't have to worry when war comes, "Ye shall hear of wars and rumors of wars: see that ye be not troubled". Matt. 24:6

    When we are hid in God we have peace. In the shadow of His wings we will make our refuge, until these calamities be over-past. - Psalm 57:1

    In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. John 16:33

    Come, my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee: hide thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be over-past. For, behold, the LORD cometh out of his place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity. Isaiah 26:20, 21

    To be hid in Christ means we do not have to be afraid. He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: his heart is fixed, trusting in the LORD. Psalm 112:7

    For "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Psalm. 46:1-3

    For God so loved the world, that he ga ve his only begotten Son,

     that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

    Remembering Our Soldiers

    The Victorious Battle

    The horse is prepared against the day of battle: but safety is of the LORD. -Proverbs 21:31

    ~Reflection~

    Much war has been fought in our nations down through history. Some have been won and others lost to the enemy. Today is a day to remember the ones who fought for us and gave their lives.  My father was on front lines in World War II- 1941-1945 in Germany.  My husband was in Viet Nam for a short time. I have so much to be thankful for

    There is another army which is God's army  God's children are now enrolled. Jacob was a man who fought with God.  He had victory when angels were sent to him. David fought many battles and looked to God for help

    The war that we fight is usually waged in our minds and is between God’s Spirit and our flesh . “To be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.” Romans 8:  There is good news. We can be free from this war as we have the power to do so. If we trust and obey and follow God we can over come the flesh. Lord give us power to be overcomes.

    For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son,

    that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

    Jesus is Lord of the Sabbath

    The Sabbath Was Made For Man

    23 And it came to pass, that he went through the corn fields on the sabbath day; and his disciples began, as they went, to pluck the ears of corn.
    24 And the Pharisees said unto him, Behold, why do they on the sabbath day that which is not lawful?
    25 And he said unto them, Have ye never read what David did, when he had need, and was an hungred, he, and they that were with him?
    26 How he went into the house of God in the days of Abiathar the high priest, and did eat the shew-bread, which is not lawful to eat but for the priests, and gave also to them which were with him?
    27 And he said unto them, The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath:
    28 Therefore the Son of man is Lord also of the Sabbath. Mark 2: 23-28 KJV

    The Sabbath means rest.  Man was not made for rest, but rest was made for man to use for     his best good.   It was a lawful custom to pluck what one could eat as he passed through fields and orchards. Doing this on the Sabbath was criticized. The Pharisees had  what seemed to be an outward religion- proof of their religion which sinners and religious people could do easily. They wanted to know why for everything.

    Doing Good on the Sabbath

    1 And he entered again into the synagogue; and there was a man there which had a withered hand.
    2 And they watched him, whether he would heal him on the Sabbath day; that they might accuse him.
    3 And he saith unto the man which had the withered hand, Stand forth.
    4 And he saith unto them, Is it lawful to do good on the Sabbath days, or to do evil? to save life, or to kill? But they held their peace.
    5 And when he had looked round about on them with anger, being grieved for the hardness of their hearts, he saith unto the man, Stretch forth thine hand. And he stretched it out: and his hand was restored whole as the other.
    6 And the Pharisees went forth, and straightway took counsel with the Herodians against him, how they might destroy him. Mark 3: 1-6

    Here they watched to see if He would break the Sabbath by healing on the day. Jesus grew angry that their heart was so hardened. According to some this would mean un-sanctified, but God and man both has anger.  It is how we control it is what makes the difference. Without anger man would not be capable of waging warfare against sin and Satan.  We must pray to be able to control our anger in the bounds of the law of God. (Gal. 5: 22-23)

    God who can do all these miracles can be depended upon to answer our prayers and meet our needs, just as He promised He would do.

    For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son,

    that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

    The Defense Of The Saints

     Feeling Rejected?

    Save me, O God, by thy name, and judge me by thy strength.
    Hear my prayer, O God; give ear to the words of my mouth.
    For strangers are raised up against me, and oppressors seek after my soul: they have not    set God before them. Selah.
    Behold, God is mine helper: the Lord is with them that uphold my soul.
    He shall reward evil unto mine enemies: cut them off in thy truth.
    I will freely sacrifice unto thee: I will praise thy name, O LORD; for it is good.
    For he hath delivered me out of all trouble: and mine eye hath seen his desire upon mine enemies. -Psalm 54

    God is concerned about our deliverance. When we feel dishonored or rejected, God has power to help us. God's strength is a sure plea for all our bad times. God hears our prayers. We know this is true, if we follow His statues He desires to answer our prayers. Sometimes in life we have what seems as strange trials, but they are not so to God. He said "There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it." 1 Corinthians 10: 13

    Never in the history of the church has our trials seemed strange to God. His grace is sufficient and He will see us through each trial in life.

    If one has remembered God's authority and tasted His Love, then they would be conformed to His Nature. Sin holds them back. They have not tasted God's Rich Love. What a thrill to know we have God's unmerited grace and power. He upholds us daily. As for our enemies, they shall have their wages. Their threatening is to be placed beyond dispute, cut off.
    They worked for evil, and they shall have their wages. Our faithful God will not overlook the arrows of malice. It cannot go un-avenged. It is good that we continue praising God and lives joyfully with a pure motive. After all we have reason to praise God for he hath delivered us out of all trouble.

    Life

    What is Life ?

    Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life?

     It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.- James 4: 14

    James said our life is like a vapor or morning fog. Here today and gone tomorrow.

    Just a little while is our life while on earth.

     Life is speeding on into eternity.  Just ask an older person and see what they say.

    Life is very short when compared to eternity.

    Are you using your life for something good? Is your life pure, clean and  holy?

    Are you doing good for your fellowman?

    Or is your life selfish, full of hate and envy? Are you unhappy?

    When we let God Control our lives, we have peace.

    We know not what tomorrow may bring, but we know who is in control

    Jesus can make your life happy today.

     Let Him give you His perfect peace.

     Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling,

     and to present you faultless

    before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,
     To the only wise God our Saviour,

     be glory and majesty, dominion and power,

    both now and ever. Amen. -Jude 24-25

    The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ
    and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy spirit
    be with you all
    Amen

    ~Tell Your Children~

    From God's Word we read ---

    And thou shalt write them upon the posts of thy house, and on thy gates.

    In Deuteronomy 6, God tells us to walk in Truth by obeying His commandments and teaching them to our children. If we want our homes and our nation to last, then we must take these commandments and hand them down from father to our children. In verses 6-9, God gives these commands.

    And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart:

     And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.

    And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes.

    And thou shalt write them upon the posts of thy house, and on thy gates.

    The Ten Commandments are not obsolete. Without God’s Truth, our families and our nation will crumble. We all must return to the Truth of God’s Word!

    ~The Ten Commandments~

    1. Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
    2. Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image.
    3. Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain.
    4. Remember the sabbath day to keep it holy.
    5. Honor thy father and mother.
    6. Thou shalt not kill.
    7. Thou shalt not commit adultery.
    8. Thou shalt not steal
    9. Thou shalt not bear false witness.
    10. Thou shalt not covet.

    Love Conquers All

    As for me and my house we will serve the Lord

     - Joshua 24:15

    1 Corinthians 13:1-13

    From God's Word We Read

    If I speak in the tongues of men and angels,
    but have not love,
    I have become sounding brass or a tinkling symbol.

    And if I have prophecy and know all mysteries and all knowledge,
    and if I have all faith so as to remove mountains,
    but have not love, I am nothing.

    And if I dole out all my goods, and
    if I deliver my body that I may boast
    but have not love, nothing I am profited.

    Love is long suffering,
    love is kind,
    it is not jealous,
    love does not boast,
    it is not inflated.

    It is not discourteous,
    it is not selfish,
    it is not irritable,
    it does not enumerate the evil.
    It does not rejoice over the wrong, but rejoices in the truth

    It covers all things,
    it has faith for all things,
    it hopes in all things,
    it endures in all things.

    Love never falls in ruins;
    but whether prophecies, they will be abolished; or
    tongues, they will cease; or
    knowledge, it will be superseded.

    For we know in part and we prophecy in part.

    But when the perfect comes, the imperfect will be superseded.

    When I was an infant,
    I spoke as an infant,
    I reckoned as an infant;

    when I became [an adult],
    I abolished the things of the infant.

    For now we see through a mirror in an enigma, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know as also I was fully known.

    But now remains
     faith, hope, love,

    these three;

    but the greatest of these is love.

    Love is superior to any and all of the gifts. Love is superior to any sacrifice that I might make for God.

    OUR OF THE  MOUTH OF CHILDREN:
    Yesterday was Mother's Day.  Both our boys came over.  Rowan our grand-daughter said "Happy Mother's Day' to me and then she turned to her grandpa and said, "Happy Men's Day"

    For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son,
     that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life
     --John 3:16 KJV
    Today we  are celebrating our 36th Wedding  Anniversary.  God has blessed our home above all that I could ever, ever dream of.
    ~~A ANNIVERSARY PRAYER~~
     May we forever continue through life's journey beside each other,
    our hearts still filled with love, respect, and admiration,
    as it was so many years ago.
    May our caring for each other grow deeper; may our love for each other grow stronger.
    May our home be filled with hope, peace, and love as it has been for
    all these years we have shared together.
    May we share just as many more

    Happy Mother's Day

    ~A Virtuous Woman~

         Who can find a virtuous wife?
          For her worth is far above rubies.
          The heart of her husband safely trusts her;
          So he will have no lack of gain.
          She does him good and not evil

          All the days of her life.
         She seeks wool and flax,
          And willingly works with her hands.
           She is like the merchant ships,
          She brings her food from afar.
           She also rises while it is yet night,
          And provides food for her household,
          And a portion for her maidservants.

           She considers a field and buys it;
          From her profits she plants a vineyard.
          She girds herself with strength,
          And strengthens her arms.
           She perceives that her merchandise is good,
          And her lamp does not go out by night.

           She stretches out her hands to the distaff,
          And her hand holds the spindle.
          She extends her hand to the poor,
          Yes, she reaches out her hands to the needy.
            She is not afraid of snow for her household,
          For all her household is clothed with scarlet.
            She makes tapestry for herself;
          Her clothing is fine linen and purple.

           Her husband is known in the gates,
          When he sits among the elders of the land.
           She makes linen garments and sells them,
          And supplies sashes for the merchants.
         Strength and honor are her clothing;
          She shall rejoice in time to come.

           She opens her mouth with wisdom,
          And on her tongue is the law of kindness.
           She watches over the ways of her household,
          And does not eat the bread of idleness.
          Her children rise up and call her blessed;
          Her husband also, and he praises her:

           “ Many daughters have done well,
          But you excel them all.”
          Charm is deceitful and beauty is passing,
          But a woman who fears the LORD, she shall be praised.
         Give her of the fruit of her hands,
          And let her own works praise her in the gates.

    -Proverbs 31

    He Opened the Rock

    ~~The Waters Gushed Out~~
    Photo of Toccoa Falls in Ga.
    He opened the rock
    And the waters gushed out.
    They ran in the dry places like a river.

    -Psalm 105: 41

    Water in abundance for everyone! We find in Exodus and Numbers that the Israelites demanded water from Moses, indicating they either had faith in him or were taunting him for bringing them into such a place to camp. But since God was their leader and was guiding them in the pillar of fire and cloud, He was responsible for this campsite. God was bringing them here to test them, for He himself knew what He would do for water.

    All that was required of Moses, was to speak to the rock and it would have been very effective in proving to Israel the intended truth of benefits to be received from the Messiah who was typified by the rock 1 Corinthians 10:14. Moses obeyed God by taking the rod and smiting the rock. Although he disobeyed God and smote the rock twice when he should have spoken to it only. God still answered the prayer and the waters gushed out. Can you imagine what a beautiful sight it must have been when the pure clean waters flowed from the rock?

    The rock had already been smitten once, typifying the crucifixion of Christ that was to be once and only once for all men. Rom 10. Merely speaking to the rock at this time would have brought the same benefits as smiting it before The same is true now regarding Christ -- all one is required to do is ask and receive. John. 15:7 16: 23-26

    Every one of us can learn a lesson from this. The grand source—the rock opened. The liberal stream—"gushed out". The continued flow—"in dry places". The Rock - a type of the benefits of Christ, in the water flowing from the rock—pure, refreshing, perpetual, and abundance.

    Rock - The smitten Rock by the rod of the Law. Christ was smitten to the heart. The Rock was unsightly as Horeb. "When we shall see him, there is no beauty, "etc. (Isaiah 43:2). Christ, our Smitten Rock!

    Let the waters of God's Love gush out and run over the dry places in your soul. Our Rock is firm and immovable "Who is a rock, save our God?” 2 Samuel. 22:32. God the grand source of a continuous flow. "Praises are to the Lord my Rock, who trains my hands for war, my fingers for battle." (Psalm144: 1) He will do great things for us today as He did for Moses.

    Call unto me, and I will answer thee,  And show thee great and mighty things,  Which thou knowest not.  -Jeremiah 33: 3

    ******************************************

    Travelers have described what is believed to be the rock smitten by Moses. It is said to be a vast block of granite, 15 feet long, and 10 feet broad, and 12 feet high. It has holes and channels which could have been formed only by the bursting and running out of water. The rock Moses smote supplied water for perhaps 6,000,000 people or more and their stock. The flow then ceased and had to be started again by another miracle at a later date.

    Miracle

    MIRACLES STILL HAPPEN

    And it was given unto him to give breath to it, even to the image to the breast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as should not worship the image of the beast should be killed. And he causeth all, the small and the great, and the rich and the poor, and the free and the bond, that there be given them a mark on their right hand, or upon their forehead; and that no man should be able to buy or to sell, save he that hath the mark, even the name of the beast or the number of his name. Here is wisdom. He that hath understanding let him count the number of the beast; for it is the number of a man: and his number is Six hundred and sixty and six. -Rev. 13: 15-19

    <><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>

    666, is the name given to the beast. The beast is called by this name; which is, given the number. It is said the number of the beast is the number of a man; consequently the numbered beast must be a man who will reign for a season and then pass away, until Christ establishes His Kingdom on earth forever. It is the time when God's wrath is being poured out upon the earth. No one can buy or sell without the number 666 in the hand or forehead. Once the number is taken there is no hope. You will have been sold entirely to Satan's kingdom. We do not want to be here at that time. It will be an awful time. Even today no one even wants to be associated with the number six. It seems that way among Christians.

    At the retreat we had door prices and each day they gave away about 30 - 40 gifts, and if you had the right number on your bulletin you won a gift. My roommate got the number 666 and she was very upset and was going to throw it away. I said to her, I would take it because it may win a prize. I told her I would sanctify it. She could not believe it and went to get another one. I did pray about the bulletin. Next morning as the door prizes were given out, I did not even dream of winning a prize but suddenly to my surprise they called out 666. Everyone ooohhhh and aaawwwed  and could not believe it. My number won a beautiful prize. I eagerly raised my hand up to receive the prize, with a wonderful feeling, for I knew in my heart that it was a small miracle from God.  I really felt the presence of the Holy Spirit. I had already sanctified the number and it was now an all-right situation. My roommate was astonished, but I just told her that it was now sanctified, because I had prayed about it. God really did work it out for good.  My good!  He is so Good and He REALLY does care.  He takes notice of the small happenings in our life. I love Him so. He is the Dearest Friend I ever had.

    Prayers

    THE PRAYER OF SAINTS

    Unto thee, O God, do we give thanks, unto thee do we give thanks: for that thy name is near thy wondrous works declare. When I shall receive the congregation I will judge uprightly. The earth and all the inhabitants thereof are dissolved: I bear up the pillars of it. Selah. -Psalm 75

    As the smiling flowers gratefully reflect in their lovely colors and the various constituents of the solar ray, so should gratitude spring up in our hearts after the smiles of God's providence. He hears our cry and  comes to our rescue. Never let us neglect thanksgiving, or we may fear that another time our prayers will remain unanswered. We should praise God again and again with a a heart of gratitude.

    Unto God we give thanks. We should praise God again and again. We give thanks to God for we are helpless.
    We do not have a hidden God, who sleeps and leave us to our fate, but of one who ever in our darkest days is most near, a very present help in trouble. "Near and dear is his name."

    For infinite goodness there should be measureless thanks. God i s at hand to answer and do wonders.  Let us adore the present Deity.

    He will avenge our cause in righteousness and seize the moment. God never is before his time, He is never too late. He determines our life and his deliverances is sure. God sits himself upon the throne.

    O Lord, let thy set time come for grace. Tarry no longer, but for the truth and the throne of Jesus be thou speedily at work.  O Jesus, and sit thou on thy throne to judge the world in equity.

    The Lord is the answer for his people under the worst circumstances. No disorder or confusion should hinder us from doing that which God requires of us; We give you thanks Lord.

    ~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~

    We had a wonderful time at the retreat.  There were over eight hundred registered. I am glad to be back home. It rained on us almost all the way back. We got back about seven P M Sat night.  I was exhausted and tired and went to bed early.

     Over all  I had a wonderful exciting time.   Our fire alarm went off at 12:00 Friday night and we had to exit our room. It's hard to describe the feelings. My room mate was dressed for bed and we both ran out in the hall and stood 10 -15 minutes until the alarm was cleared.  They had come over to invite us to a  pizza party in their room at 12:00. Can you imagine?  I ate two slices, and it's a wonder I wasn't sick eating pizza that late.  There was not a fire, as it turned out to be a joke on us from one of the young ladies of our group.  She did not get kicked out but it's a wonder.  I will be telling you another exciting experience I had later. A much better one. We had a good Spiritual Renewing.  Services held late at night, and everyone seemed hesitate to leave for the Presence of God was so real.  God met us in a mighty way.  We had good fellowship, shopping in the evening and nightly spiritual renewing.

    Tell you a little more later.

    Esther

    FOR SUCH A TIME AS THIS

    --and who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?

     Esther 4: 14

    Queen Esther was in a difficult situation.  Mordecai, her cousin who had raised her, suggested  that  she should plead with the King for her people's lives  The evil Haman was about to have the Jews destroyed because Mordecai refused to bow down to him.  To go before the king without invitation was dangerous, even for the queen.

    She was aware that her position in the palace would not keep her from being killed along with all the other Jews.  Mordecai, informed her that if she remained silent, someone else would be sent to save the Jews.  Then he suggested that she may have been placed in her royal position in order to save her people.

    Esther asked Mordecai to gather the people to fast and pray for three days and nights,  while she and her maids did the same within the palace.  She was then ready to face the King to the extent of losing her very life.  And in one of the most thrilling events in history, Esther' obedience saved her people.

    Sometimes difficult situations in our lives could be an openings to carry out a particular mission for God?  What an opportunity to serve Him, to be a valuable tool in His hands!  Our part is to be available, to be ready for  His leading, and  to be responsive to Him when he calls us for- - SUCH A TIME AS THIS

    Prayer "Father, give me the courage to take whatever steps are necessary in order to obey your will, wherever I may be."

    <><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>

    For Such a Time As This

    So great a cloud of witnesses;
    So rich our heritage of grace;
    So great salvation burns within;
    So glows Your glory in this place;
    Our Father God, we rise to lift
    Your praise for such a time as this.

    This day of grace, this day of need,
    When sin consumes the ones You love,
    When families die, and spirits starve
    While hands can never grasp enough:
    Lord Jesus, did You freely give
    Yourself for such a time as this?

    Then give Yourself; be Christ in us;
    Be life and joy and hope and peace;
    Be holiness and living pow'r;
    Be full forgiveness, full release;
    Be all You are--love's greatest gift;
    Be Lord for such a time as this!

    Queen Esther

    The Chosen Ones

    After watching the DVD Movie, "One Night With The King"  we received as a gift, we were very inspired about the  book of Esther. Read the whole story in the book of Esther it is beautiful.

    After these things, when the wrath of king Ahasuerus was appeased, he remembered Vashti, and what she had done, and what was decreed against her.
    Then said the king's servants that ministered unto him, Let there be fair young virgins sought for the king:
    And let the king appoint officers in all the provinces of his kingdom, that they may gather together all the fair young virgins unto Shushan the palace, to the house of the women, unto the custody of Hege the king's chamberlain, keeper of the women; and let their things for purification be given them:
    And let the maiden which pleases the king be queen instead of Vashti. And the thing pleased the king; and he did so.

     -Esther 2: 1-4

    The king was displeased with Vashti.  He considered her ways and was troubled. It was suggested that fair young virgins be brought in for the king. The maiden that pleased the king would become queen to replace Vashti. History tells us there was a mass of young virgins brought in through out all the empire.  They were to be beautified and fitted for the king.  The king than choose Esther.  She pleased the king.

    Does our life please King Jesus?  Is he displeased with our lives? The LORD takes pleasure in his people: he will beautify the meek with salvation. Ps. 149:4  Let us beautify our life for God.  I want Him to choose me.

    Bless us Lord, with quietness of mind; Teach us to be patient and always to be kind.

    Let God Arise

    Let God arise,

    let his enemies be scattered:

    let them also that hate him

    flee before him. Ps. 68:1

    This verse has been on my mind for days.  I can't seem to get away from it. Blessed be the Lord, who day after day bears our burdens. He is to us a deliverer for us and is our salvation. When the Almighty arises our enemies are scattered.

    ARISE MY LOVE

    Arise My Love. These words are both a prayer and a triumph as they are used both by Moses and David.

    Rise up to do God's will. We too must arm our-self and the church with this prayer.
    The Church of God has always had, and will have, enemies and haters.

    In God's Church there are enemies that hate not only the church, but God.
    God sometimes seems to sleep or lie still, and let the enemies and haters do what they will for a season,

    Sleeping? No. God is not asleep or lies still. There is a time when God WILL ARISE.
    God's rising time is the enemies' scattering time, his hater's flying time.
    It is the duty of God's people to pray up when he seems to be down, and to exalt God in their praises when he doth arise to their rescue and redemption;

    Enter into rest and wait patiently on God. His mercy to his children: though for a while he seem to sleep, and not to hearken to the voice of their complaints, yet, at last, he rises up and helps them. His patience to the wicked: he is not always up, as it were, to destroy his enemies; His justice, which cometh at length, though it come not so soon as men in misery expect; Let God Arise

    Let God arise, let His enemies be scattered,
    And let those who hate Him flee before His face.

    But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall. -Malachi 4:2

    For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son,

     that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
