End of Your Wits?

They that go down to the sea  in ships, that do business in great waters;
These see the works of the LORD, and his wonders in the deep.

Just Praise Him 

Praise the Lord! Do not worry for God is very near.

He knows every problem you may have and He cares

Render to Him your broken heart. It's not a problem for Him. 

Never is there a problem, He cannot handle

Affliction and sorrow brings one low. There is a reason for these things

Fret not yourself, these problems can make one strong

Into His hands commit all things. He turns rivers into wilderness

He commands the stormy winds to cease in our lives.

Someday soon we will understand why all this had to be

But for now, just give it all to Him, He will help you.

Even the sinners shall understand the loving-kindness of the Lord.

Our God has the answer. He can calm your storm. Just praise him!

No More Sickness

He Will Arise With Healing In His Wings

  But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall. -Malachi 4:2

Seems lately everywhere I turn someone is sick. My mama just found that her back is broken again. My son has a skin condition which is severe. My dad needs a touch from God as so many other people do too. It would be sad if we did not have hope for a world without sickness.

The Sun of Righteousness Will arise;
He will bring healing to every person on earth when He comes to reign. no one will be sick when He comes to reign.
 He will bring healing!

And the inhabitant shall not say, I am sick: the people that dwell therein shall be forgiven their iniquity. -Isaiah 33:24

The eyes of the blind shall be opened

The ears of the deaf shall be un-stopped

The lame one shall lead 

The tongue of the dumb shall sing. -Isaiah 35:5-7

Down by the River of Life on the banks will be a tree.  This Tree will have leaves that will not fade. These leaves will provide healing.

There will never be a need for a doctor in the land of endless day.

And by the river upon the bank thereof, on this side and on that side, shall grow all trees for meat, whose leaf shall not fade, neither shall the fruit thereof be consumed: it shall bring forth new fruit according to his months, because their waters they issued out of the sanctuary: and the fruit thereof shall be for meat, and the leaf thereof for medicine. -Ezekiel 47:12

People will live on and on and on and never be sick again!

Our bodies will be perfectly healthy because we will be eating from the "Tree of Life" Ezekiel 47:12

His wings of healing will spread forth with beams and rays of healing.  All will be healed.

What a glorious day is in store for those who love Him.

Be Content

Contentment

But godliness with contentment is great gain. 1 Timothy 6:6

C - Crave not the things of this world, that money can buy, rather set your heart upon God's riches. For when one dies they shall carry nothing away. Riches are not for ever: Pro. 27:24

O - Overshadowing clouds of darkness and evil can seep into our heart and bring troubles. Paul said, "Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not high-minded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who gives us richly all things to enjoy;" 1 Timothy 6: 17

N - Never let us turn our hearts from God our maker, who supplies all  our needs. ..."if riches increase, set not your heart upon them." Psalm 62:10 Let not the rich man glory in his riches: Jeremiah 9: 23

T - Trust not in riches. One that trusts in his riches shall fall; but the righteous shall flourish as a branch. Proverbs 11:28 Take hold of the life which is life indeed.  Be rich in good works.

E - Enjoy God's blessings and do not be haughty.  He gives us everything we enjoy. God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Phil. 4:19 Live the good life and fear God: By humility and the fear of the Lord are riches, and honor, and life. Pro. 22:4 

N - Never put your confidence in riches and money. Riches profit not in the day of wrath: but righteousness delivers from death. Proverbs 11:4 And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful. mark 4 19

T - Turn not your heart from the Living God. Do His will, then you will be rich beyond compare. A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches, and loving favor rather than silver and gold. Proverbs 22:1

Worship

WORSHIP THE LORD

W- worship God as Joshua did. Joshua fell facedown to the ground in reverence. He is Lord; worship and honor him. At the name of Jesus every knee should bow in heaven and on earth and under the earth. Joshua 5:14

O - open up your heart to Him. There is great joy, peace and gladness in our hearts when we worship God. The wise men worshipped Him. People in Jesus day worshipped Him. Then those who were in the boat worshiped him, saying, "Truly you are the Son of God." Mathew 14:33

R - rivers of living waters shall flow from one when one that believes on Him. The Scriptures said. John7: 38. Exalt the LORD our God and worship at his footstool; he is holy. Psalm 99:5 Stephen worshipped Him as he was dying. 

S - spirit of the Living God fall fresh on me. Let your living waters flow over my soul. I worship you O God of my fathers, believing all things written in the law and the prophets.

H - holy is His Name. He is worthy of all praise and honor. All heaven worships Him. "Worthy is the Lamb, who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and praise!" 

I - Indulging in sin will harm the flow of God's spirit. Let the Holy Spirit motivate you. To those sanctified in Christ Jesus and called to be holy, together with all those everywhere who call on the name of our Lord Jesus Christ—their Lord and ours: 1 Corinthians 1:2

P - pour out your heart to God Trust in Him at all times Psalm 62: 8 "To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be praise and honor and glory and power, for ever and ever!"

Remembering God

WE REMEMBER GOD

R - Relying on you O Lord, our life is much easier. Forgetting the Lord and Your cause is a dangerous thing. 

E - Every day I trust in you. Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the LORD our God. Ps 20: 7 Let us not rejoice with the world and forget God's cause. 

M -Mercy comes from your Throne. When my heart is overwhelmed and fainting. Let us not forget or take lightly your words. 

E - Even though we fall, and our soul is not in the depth of sorrow, we remember thee upon our bed, and meditate on thee in the night watches. Ps 63:6

M- My soul thirsts for You dear God, Let me be in the multitudes going to your house each week. Let us love the church and prefer her above everything. Are we so comfortably that we cannot remember Thee.

B - Be still, Oh my soul, the God who made thee still remembers.  I will remember the years of the right hand of the most high. We remember your many miracles that you performed --Remember that Jesus Christ of the seed of David was raised from the dead according to my gospel: 2 Tim 2; 8 We do not take it lightly. Many have forgotten the Gospel.

E - Each day help me to remember your work, to serve the church and be prepared to suffer anything for your cause. Remember the word that I said unto you. The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also. John 15; 20

R - Resting in Your promises, let me remember the commandments to do them. Let the world remember and turn unto the LORD: and all the kindred's of the nations worship before thee. Remember his marvelous works and wonders. Ps. 22:27. I remember you Lord

BREAD OF LIFE

Psalm 111: 5   I will satisfy her poor with bread. Psalm 132: 

FEASTING ON THE BREAD OF LIFE

Bread of life. Feed me each day Blessings flow He has given meat unto them that fear Him.  He keeps his promises. 

 -Ps. 111:5.  What blessed provision.  He does not promise us dainties, but a plenteous supply of bread..  In the Father's house, " there is bread enough." 

Remember the food of earth will leave you hungry. It does not satisfy We need fresh manna from Heaven. Thank you, God for feeding us.  You have prepared of your goodness for the poor. Ps. 68: 10

Eat to the satisfying of your soul.  God has plenty. "He that loves silver shall not be satisfied therewith; nor he that loves abundance with increase:" Ecc. 5:10.Every need He supplies and regards the prayer of the destitute. He does not despise their prayer. Ps. 102: 17

Abundantly the Lord blesses our provision. He satisfies the poor with bread. Ps. 132: 15 We can eat in plenty and be satisfied.

 Thank you Lord. Bread of Heaven, feed me until I want no more. Make me whole in Jesus Name. Eat in plenty and be satisfied: Praise the Lord. Joel 2: 26

Daily He will supply our food from His Table of Life.  No one needs to go hungry or lacking. We can feast on the "Bread of Life"  and gain strength.    There's plenty of bread to feast on. There is no shortage of supply. In your dying hour your riches, relations, barns, nor, anything else of this world will matter.  Only God can satisfy a hungry soul. 

  "O satisfy us early with thy mercy; that we may rejoice and be glad all our days:" Ps 90:14.

Grace Sufficient

His Grace is Sufficient

And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. 11 Corinthians 12: 9

Paul was assured that this angel of Satan was in His will;  He knew grace would be provided to suffer all things;  and that ha should learn to depend wholly upon the power of God. verse 8-9

Paul learned to glory in his infirmities so that that the power of Christ cold rest upon him.  Paul had other thorns in the flesh which consisted of reproaches, necessities, persecution, distress and infirmities. 

 He had weakness of ability but he did not fail God.  He depended upon God's Grace. He still did many powerful mighty deeds while he had this thorn in the flesh.  He had special power to heal diseases even up to the last days we read of them.  He suffered buffeting, anguish and more 

When we get an attack by Satan then we should look for the grace promised of God.  We are then strong in the power of God and over-comers

Is your name registered in the Lamb's book of life. There is only one way for this to occur. You must recognize Christ's sacrifice for you, admit you have sinned and ask for  forgiveness. Ask him to cleanse you by His Blood he shed for your sins on the cross. Then your name will be on the register.

Prayer for the Church

Praying Always 

11 Now God himself and our Father, and our Lord Jesus Christ, direct our way unto you.
12 And the Lord make you to increase and abound in love one toward another, and toward all men, even as we do toward you:
13 To the end he may stablish your hearts un-blameable in holiness before God, even our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all his saints.  -1 Thessalonians 3: 11-13

I will mention the loving kindnesses of the LORD, and the praises of the LORD, according to all that the LORD hath bestowed on us, and the great goodness toward the house of Israel, which he hath bestowed on them according to his mercies, and according to the multitude of his loving kindnesses. Isaiah 63: 7

The voice of joy, and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride, the voice of them that shall say, Praise the LORD of hosts: for the LORD is good; for his mercy endureth for ever: and of them that shall bring the sacrifice of praise into the house of the LORD. For I will cause to return the captivity of the land, as at the first, saith the LORD. Jer. 33: 11

Workers in the Kingdom

Working Together

.....Take heed to the ministry which thou hast received in the Lord, that thou fulfill it. -Col. 4:1711

Here there is a rebuke for one of Paul's laborer's in the Church.  God has a special work for all of His Children to do. Each one has their own calling.  His work must go on. Let's be careful  not to fail the Christian service God has called us to do.   Happy are they that do His will so that God's Name will be glorified

He Looks, He Sees

  He looks on the earth, and it trembles. -Psalm 104: 32  O let the nations be glad and sing for joy: for thou shalt judge the people righteously, and govern the nations upon earth. Psalm 67: 4

H e has great power.  He looks down upon the earth with all its sin, and destruction. He looks on the earth and it trembles. When he "looks, "or casts an angry eye "upon the earth it trembles" 

E ver wonder what the look of God is like. Power is in His look. Every knee shall one day bow to Him. Just a glance of his eye the solid earth rocks with fear. He touches the hills, and they smoke. He looks on the earth and it trembles.

L et everyone who names the name of the Lord stand in awe of Him and worship Him. Could He be looking at you in love, or is He looking in anger?  He looks on the earth and it trembles. All nations whom thou hast made shall come and worship before thee, O Lord; and shall glorify thy name. Ps. 86:9

O h  sinful ones, whose life is ruined by sin.  there is mercy with our God. He has power to forgive. Don't let Him see you in a look of anger.  He can overwhelm us with the terrors of destruction if He so chooses. He looks on the earth and it trembles.

O h  nations, turn unto the Lord. The Lord has great power. What is in a look of love. He looked out of the fiery pillar upon the Egyptians." The Lord hath looked out from his pillar of glory," He gave another look from the same pillar to Israel. Yea, all kings shall fall down before him: all nations shall serve him. He looks on the earth and it trembles. 

K indle a flame of love in your heart for Him.  He is the great God Jehovah!  A consuming fire.  As one can  give a glance with his eye, so soon can God shake the earth.  He can also shake the inferior of men on earth.  Fear the Lord, for He has great power. He looks on the earth and it trembles.

S inai was altogether  a smoke when the Lord descended upon it. It was but a touch, but it sufficed to make the mountain dissolve in flame.  He rules by his power for ever; his eyes behold the nations: Psalm 66: 7 Serve the Lord with all your heart.

A Wedding Invitation

A Wedding  You're Invited

This little verse above, hangs in our dining room.  I was inspired to write about the very special wedding.  June is commonly known as the "Bride's Month".

I pray you are blessed.

Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready. And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints. And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God. -Rev. 19: 7-9 KJV

There's going to be another wedding.  You're invited! Make plans today.

W e are on our way to a wedding. All Christians are going. Invitations are being sent out. Did you receive yours. They are personally sent out by Jesus Christ. 

E very body who goes to the wedding, must have clean garments The bride is going to be presented.  Everyone is invited. Just put on a wedding garment. 

D o not let earthly cares boggle you down, so that you are not prepared for this wedding. This is one wedding you do not want to miss. The Bride is his church of believers.  

D oes your garment have the splendid ornaments as of a bride? You must adorn yourself for this occasion. Wear robes of righteousness clean and white.   Please put on the robe of righteousness that He gives to us. Eph. 4: 24 - Col. 3: 10.  

I t's really going to be exciting!  There will be a great and festive wedding banquet and a great wedding procession. God the Father and His Son Jesus Christ will be there.

N ow are you ready to attend the wedding? If not prepare yourself for it now. There's still time.

G ood news!  The banquet is almost ready now and we'll be going right away.  Sure hope you will join us.  Do not make light of it.  Get ready now to attend. Please accept this gracious invitation.

B anquets are so exciting. The king (God) will be host to celebrate the marriage of his son (the Messiah).

E veryone will want to be present. I'm really getting excited about the festivities of the wedding. It is called the marriage supper of the Lamb

L isten to the still small voice calling you now. Grace is now being offered. A refusal means you will be sent out of the Banquet Hall.

L earn more about this special initiation from God's Word. There are many maps to the wedding. Do everything within your power to make it to this wedding.

s ee you at the wedding! Jesus says "Come" The invitation is for all. The angel said. "Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb."

Grace to Resist

 "Neither give place to the devil." -Eph. 4:27

How happy this world would have been had Adam and Eve not given Satan peace in their lives in Eden. Paradise below, all blessed and glorious, was lost by one fearful instance of sin. Christians must learn never to yield to Satan.
God has provided grace to resist Satan to the finish. If one give him no quarter, he finds resistance easier and easier, and the Christian "way brighter and sweeter. "Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

The Peace of God
The peace of God that passes all understanding
keep your hearts and minds in the knowledge
and love of God and of this Son Jesus Christ:
and the blessing of God Almighty,
the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit,
be upon you and remain with you always.

The Lord bless you and keep you:

Poem To Bless You

Trouble In The Amen Corner

It was a stylish congregation
You could see they'd been around
And they had the best pipe organ
Of any church in town
But in the Amen Corner
Sat aged Brother Ira
And he insisted every Sunday
On singing in the choir
His voice was cracked and broken
Age had touched his vocal cords
And sometimes he would lag behind
And maybe miss some words
Well, the choir stormed and blustered
Brother Ira sang too slow
And he sang the tunes that were in style
A hundred years ago!
So at last the storm cloud burst
The church was of one mind
That old Ira stop his singing
Or the choir would resign.

A committee was appointed,
A hand picked three or four,
And they drove their big fine cars
Right up to Ira's door
They found the choir's great trouble
In a shabby old arm chair
And the summer's golden sunbeams
Shone on his snow white hair
He was singing, “Rock Of Ages”,
In a crack’d voice, soft and low,
But the angels understood him
And that's all he cared to know.
Said they, “We're here, dear Brother,
With the Vestry’s approbation
To discuss a little matter that
Affects the congregation.
Now we don't want no more singin’,
Except for what we've bought,
The new ones are all the rage,
The old ones stand for naught.

You're gonna have to stop your singin’
For it's messin’ up the choir.”

The old man raised his head,

Wishing all Father's

 A Happy Father's Day

Lord, we thank you for allowing us to celebrate this special day.
Bless our father, Lord. Keep us in your care so that we may live in peace.
For those who have not been blessed with the love that fills our home, we pray.
May we continue to live the lessons we have learned from our parents.


I thank God for my father, who raised us children in a Christian home.  
May God give us more like him

FATHER'S DAY HISTORY

 
Father’s Day is celebrated in the 3rd Sunday in June. The idea for creating a day for children to honor their fathers began in Spokane, Washington. A woman by the name of Sonora Smart Dodd thought of the idea for Father's Day while listening to a Mother's Day sermon in 1909. Having been raised by her father, Henry Jackson Smart, after her mother died, Sonora wanted her father to know how special he was to her. It was her father that made all the parental sacrifices and was, in the eyes of his daughter, a courageous, selfless, and loving man. Sonora's father was born in June, so she chose to hold the first Father's Day celebration in Spokane, Washington on the 19th of June, 1910. 
In 1924 President Calvin Coolidge proclaimed the third Sunday in June as Father's Day.

Roses are the Father's Day flowers: red to be worn for a living father and white if the father has died.

Life

What is Life? 

"For he knoweth our frame;  he remembereth that we are dust." -Psalm 103: 14

~~Reflections~~

 God who created us knows our weakness and limitations.  One's life is but an expression of God's extension of life to him.  One can destroy and mar that life which God has extended to him!

Our "frame" is exceeding frail, our existence is totally dependent upon God.  Why boast about our might and power.  We have no power at all outside of God. If God were to withhold one breath, our life would be snuffed out!

Dear God help me to realize I am nothing with out You. You are my life. Thank you for more abundant life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Rejoice

Reasons For Rejoicing

"Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake.  Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you." Matthew 5:11-12  KJV 

~Reflection~

What does it matter that one comes against us.  We know Jesus said it would happen.  He too was persecuted and falsely accused. We are called "blessed". We have much to be happy about even in the midst of persecution. and pain. For God's sake we gladly bear the reproach.  We have a great reward waiting for us in Heaven when our earthly life is over. The prophets were persecuted, yet they did not waver in their faith.  They looked unto their Maker and looked for a better world.

Look What Awaits Us

A Crown of Life

Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.

~Reflection~

A crown of life awaits us. What a blessing! It's a promise that God has given to the ones who love and obey Him. Sufferings and trials will come to an end even if it seems forever, and Jesus will receive glory.  We will receive a crown of life . It is a beautiful ending for this life.  May God be glorified in our daily trials.  May we seek His face and continue to be molded into His perfect image.

The Church

 1 Timothy 4: 1-16

3 Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.
4 For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving:
5 For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.
6 If thou put the brethren in remembrance of these things, thou shalt be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished up in the words of faith and of good doctrine, whereunto thou hast attained.
7 But refuse profane and old wives' fables, and exercise thyself rather unto godliness.
8 For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.

We are to watch!  Satan and his messengers are at work spreading false doctrines through out the church.

God's servants are to preach the truth, no matter how unpopular they become.

Paul told Timothy that he didn't have to refuse meats which were prohibited by the law, because God sanctifies all our food.

If believers would put as much  effort into their spiritual life as they do exercise what a difference it would make physical exercise is important but spiritual exercise is more essential.

It takes real effort to grow in the Christian life. God needs us to be wholehearted and fully surrendered to Him

Jesus is the Savior of the world, but only those who accept Him will be saved .

Words

Proverbs 15: 1 says --- A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger

Words can hurt and help. I know by past experience in my life. 

 Once said we can not take them back but all we can  do is ask God's forgiveness.

House of Honor

If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious. To whom coming, as unto a living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, and precious, ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ. Our Spiritual House

Houses are made to dwell in. God resides in the Christian house. 

The Master desires a clean, spotless place of dwelling. We must build up our spiritual house.

Open up the windows of your soul each day for the cool breeze of His love to flow in. 

The air of His love is very refreshing to our soul. Open up the windows of your soul daily

Under the floor or foundation of our soul, there sometimes lie things that will rot and decay. Take special 

 Notice of these areas. Are your floors showing signs of wear and tear? We must have a special place for the Master desires to dwell in.

Sweep out the corner of your soul, to make sure any thingis there that will defile or destroy. 

Even though our house is clean, we must continue to guard against any unclean thing that would defile. The Master will not dwell in a soiled palace.

Everyday one must be careful that there aren't any dirty corners. We must build up our  Spiritual house. Let it be a clean, chosen place, paying close attention to the chief cornerstone. Does your house pass inspection? You do not want it to be rejected.

Lord, I dedicate my house to you. Make it clean, through your precious Blood. Let not anything defile the rooms of my heart. I now present it to You Lord, and pray that you may find my heart a sacred, place of rest.

Water of Life

~~Fountain of Living Waters~~

For with thee  is the fountain of life:

It is so soothing to go into a garden or park and hear the cool refreshing fountains.

 I have always loved fountains.  

We can come to the God's fountain of life daily and drink of the pure waters

Stand beneath the fountain and feel the cool refreshing  sprinkles on our lives 

He daily supplies His children with showers of blessings.  Drink from the fountain

  of life today from which eternal life flows

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son,

God's Church

Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, 

over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, 

which he hath purchased with his own blood. acts 20: 28

A glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle.” Ephesians 5:27

God's Church is the Bride.  God loves the Church

God has great plans for the church.  He desires a --

A faultless church. A church without wrinkles.

   He wants a pure holy church

The church is now glorious because of the glorious gospel. 

The glorious power of God works in it 

to make it pure, holy, spotless and without blemish.  

We need to pray for the church as Peter did in jail without ceasing. Acts 12:5

It will be presented to Christ as a glorious

Church because of the glorious liberty of all children of God. 

Rom. 8: 21 and the glorious bodies 

that saints will receive. Phil. 3: 21  Soon the Church will be leaving.

leaving to  meet the Groom. Praise God!

Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus

  throughout all ages, world without end. Amen. Eph. 3: 21

Keeper of our Soul

I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day. 2 Tim. 1:12 

Keep means to take notice of by appropriate conduct. To act fittingly in relation to -to be faithful to and to conform to in habits or conduct 

Keeper of my soul! I can trust in Him. He is my strength from day to day. He delivers us from the wicked and saves us. Thank you for the promises.

Every day I believe in His keeping power. I can count on Him. He upholds us with His right hand and we never have to beg for bread. We put our trust under the shadow of your wings and are abundantly satisfied. Thank you for your assurance Lord.

Pure and Holy is how He desires us to live. His loving kindness is better than life. Let us shout for joy and be glad. Thank you for a roadmap to lead us - the Word.

The keeper of my soul never slumbers or sleeps .Do not fret because of Him who prospers or the man who brings wicked schemes to pass. A little that a righteous man has is better than the riches of many wicked. We have a great God who cares and understands. Thank you Lord that we are kept by your marvelous grace.
