IF YOU ARE NOT WITH ME YOU ARE AGAINST ME

S SPIRITUAL WARFARE

True Christians know that Jesus Christ is the only Saviour, High Priest and Head of the church body universal. As so many brothers and sisters keep on saying the whole Bible serves God purposes; but His program for righteousness is solely through His Son Jesus Christ today.

 Jesus is NOT the High Priest of the Old Covenant of the Law. Jesus Christ is the High Priest of the New Covenant of Grace. The Bible is finished in its entirety; God’s Program for all mankind is completed, revealed and will be fulfilled in His Son according to the Father’s timing. Therefore those adding or taking away from this absolute truth are in error. The ignorant righteous will turn from error, BUT THE WICKED NEVER WILL. God is not sitting around gloating that wicked people are going into the lake of fire prepared for the devil, his angels and wicked followers. God has no pleasure in the death of the wicked, and warns them to turn toward His Son Jesus Christ. The fault lies is in those wicked people self- deceived, self -righteous, and self- willed who chose to follow false doctrines of devils and seducing spirits.

 John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. 21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

Contrary to popular opinion confess does not mean trying to remember and confess each and every sin that a person did over the course of  his or her life time in order to be saved. Our memories are too imperfect to remember them all, and this sends a person into a dangerous spin of doubting their salvation because they may have forgotten or failed to confess all of their sins.

When we believe in Lord Jesus Christ we covenant with Him in full agreement that ALL sin is wrong, therefore all of our sins are wrong. Therefore having covenanted with our Saviour it is He that washes us from ALL sin, and makes us completely righteous in Him. He alone is omniscient, omnipotent, and omnipresent. Therefore we can trust He will wash every one of our sins away past present and future. One might ask why spend all this time on salvation when we are dealing with spiritual warfare?

The plain truth is that no soldier can enter battle unprepared, untrained, and with little or no knowledge of His Leader, His power, and His weaponry. Stay tuned brethren because we are going to count on the Holy Spirit through Jesus Christ to teach us much more on this foundational truth that all Christians can and must be rooted in-the full gospel message of our Saviour Jesus Christ.

Salvation is ABSOLUTE AND NON-NEGOTIABLE. God said it and God makes NO exceptions to anyone. It is the devil that promotes false doctrines to vainly try to draw Christians away from God, and to hinder people from believing in God. God would never tell you that you can be saved by believing in any particular denomination, organization, institution, “religious” movement, or cult, or any combination thereof. Jesus Christ alone by the will of Father is the only source of salvation. Those who in error try to combine grace with the Mosaic Law are not Christians, because they wilfully do what God forbids-vainly trying to combine Law and Grace. It is true that there are some things found in the Law that is also in the Gospel, it must now be understood within the law of grace alone.

God told you and the whole world as well: Ro. 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the scripture saith,  Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. 12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. 13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

This is the foundational truth of the New Covenant which is the whole armor of God. Jesus is the only Door or way to salvation. No one trying to come to salvation with a mixed doctrine i.e. Christ plus Mosaic Law or someone and/ or something else is not a Christian. The continual dissemination of the full whole Gospel message is the greatest weapon, source and foundation of spiritual warfare. It opens the eyes of those who have been duped by error, and exposes false prophets, teachers and false brethren everywhere.

 O. K some may say what about sin after a person has been saved? We must note scripture again; all of the believers' sins are forgiven past present and future. By the grace of God we will look further as to just why this is so keeping in mind THAT IT IS IMPOSSIBLE FOR GOD TO LIE.

2 Co 13:5 Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?

SPIRITUAL WARFARE

A dear Christian lady told me how she was just going to pray to God to restrain some bad people that were bothering her. I encouraged her to continue to pray, but also promptly report these problem people to the police, because God has ordained the powers on earth to punish human evil doers. Her hesitancy to notify the police evaporated when I showed her in scripture that our God has ordained the powers that be to punish evil doers. She did notify the police and those people ceased to bother her. (Ro. 13:1-2).

 Eph. 6: 10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. 11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Obviously, brothers and sisters we cannot call the police or law enforcement authorities on the devil or his demonic forces.  Although the Bible refers to satan’s ability to appear as an angel of light, he and his forces operate in the realm that cannot be seen by human eyes: 2 Co. 11: 14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. 15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.

Of course at the end of the age that sneaky old devil and his forces will be revealed for all to see. He will openly marshal all evil people to gather with him in a final futile attempt to defeat our God. I read the end of the story GOD ALWAYS WINS FOR GOD IS UNCONQUERABLE, UNBEATABLE, AND ALL POWERFUL.

1 John 4:1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: 3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world. 4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.

Wars between human beings are fought with a question mark, neither side certain of the outcome; however, it is absolutely perfectly clear Christians fight spiritual warfare from God's perspective NEVER human for God always wins. IT IS IMPOSSIBLE FOR GOD TO LOSE.

IF YOU ARE NOT WITH ME YOU ARE AGAINST ME

SPIRITUAL WARFARE 

Beloveds we exalt God above all including ourselves. He is the only One worthy of worship. As His humble children, we do not have to be afraid, get jittery, nervous, or anxious when facing the adversary. We rest in the unshakable, immovable love, protection and unlimited power of our Living God. It is true some brothers or sisters may die in the battle, but God and His people through Lord Jesus Christ His Son will nevertheless win the war and crush, annihilate, and defeat every foe. All who die in Christ shall live again. Christ our Lord has already defeated death for us. Therefore brethren, we do not fear what may happen to our physical bodies. 

It is true we do suffer in spiritual warfare, but God Himself has appointed us to this battle, therefore we can take strong consolation, comfort and peace knowing that His perpetual care is over each and every one of us no matter what.God allows us to go through this battle not to destroy us, but like battle hardened soldiers He matures us, makes us the people He wants us to be, strengthens us and makes us stable in the faith. 

Rev 12:10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. 11and they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

IF YOU ARE NOT WITH ME YOU ARE AGAINST ME

Luke 10: 16 He that heareth you heareth me; and he that despiseth you despiseth me; and he that despiseth me despiseth him that sent me. 17 And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name.18 And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven. 19 Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. 20 Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.

Saints (G40 hagios) when we speak the truth of the scriptures correctly understood and lived, it is Lord Jesus speaking His truth through us. Therefore those who despise us in reality are despising our Triune God.

In any study on spiritual warfare, we should not get cocky, filled with pride, or attribute this power to human efforts. Instead every one of us should be rejoicing that are names are written in heaven. Again and again let us keep in mind that spiritual warfare is not a battle between equals. For God has NO equal, and there is NONE able to stand before His Almighty power. All Christians are empowered and enjoined in this battle, which God alone has already won. God is eternally unbeatable, unconquerable, unlimited in power, invincible in might, supreme in any battle,  the dominion, sovereignty, ruler ship and victory belongs to Him. Thanks be to our God through whom we have the victory, and have been given the right, privilege, and authority to stand immoveable in His Name.

IF YOU ARE NOT WITH ME YOU ARE AGAINST ME

Obviously, there are countless godly preachers, teachers, brothers and sisters who faithfully preach the full Gospel message all around the world, through being indwelt by the Holy Spirit by faith in Lord Jesus Christ. God is faithful, ALL-POWERFUL, WHOM NO FOE CAN DEFEAT, EVER,  and keeps every one of His children even in the storms of life. There have been many teachings on spiritual warfare along with many other biblical teachings to strengthen, and encourage believers everywhere, and will continue to be so until our Lord brings us home.

Brothers and sisters, we are not going to get “spooky” here, but insightful, and understanding of God’s purpose, will, eternal power, and how He wants His people to fight in this battle.  We will not become disturbed and afraid at all through understanding God’s unbeatable plan in this battle.  Through Lord Jesus each and every Christian will be and is encouraged, strengthened and made immoveable through God’s love, regardless of our situation, condition, or circumstances, good or not. Be assured brethren, and keep n mind: 

Jude 1:17 But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ; 18 How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts.19 These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit. 20 But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost, 21 Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. 22 And of some have compassion, making a difference: 23 And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh. 24 Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, 25 To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.

 There are so many assurances from Lord Jesus that He will keep every one of  US His children from falling. Please make this a truly interactive study and avail yourselves of God’s promises in your Bible. Christians do not have to fear the adversary, nor falling away. FOR IT IS IMPOSSIBLE FOR GOD TO LIE. When God tells His people something each and every one of us can bank on it.  To be kept from falling means:  Strong's G679 - aptaistos I. not stumbling, standing firm, exempt from falling.
