 SIN AND THE SECULAR WORLD

(An autopsy of the spirit of mankind)

The secular world has so many questions: Where did we come from? Why are we here? What is our purpose? Are we alone? Is there anybody out there? Is there life after death?

Dearly beloveds, we know well that the Bible eternally declares that God alone is absolutely the answer to all of these questions. Mankind could not prevent Adam’s sin, which corrupts, defiles, and inherently makes all sinners under the Law of the curse and death. Brothers and sisters, let us remember over and over again that the sins mankind commits, loves to do is merely the tip of the iceberg. Sin is the evidence of mankind’s inborn corrupt, vile, defiled sin nature itself.

God sets the eternal absolute standard for what is life and what is death. God alone gives physical life for a limited time. God grants no eternal life to our physical human bodies whatsoever. Mankind will never achieve eternal life of the physical body.  Physical death cannot be prevented.

1Co 15:50 - Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.

Saints (G40 hagios), God made mankind in His image, and gave all mankind an invisible part within their physical bodies. This invisible part is called a persons’ spirit. However, just as mankind’s physical body is dead in sins, the same is true of the spirit of mankind, it is also dead in sin.  God does give us a description of what our spirit looks like, more on this later on. However, the spirit of mankind under God’s curse of sin and death, is permanently separated from the physical body after death.

Heb 9: 27And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment.

Brothers and sisters, it is evident that the secular world has an extremely limited understanding of both what life and death is and is not.  Again, mankind sees death in only a physical sense. Concretely mankind thinks the person died because they stopped breathing and/ or other organs failed. However, the eternal truth is that God the sole author of life gives physical life; and when God takes His breath away from anyone they die. Mankind prefers the fantasy to the reality that it is God who gives life and it is God who takes it away.

This eternal truth terrifies and shatters mankind’s false image of God as a cosmic santa clause; a sweet ole universal teddy bear, a gentle ancient guy that needs mankind to control Him and to tell Him what to do. Mankind prefers their endless jingles of holiday music, candy canes, warm baby chicks, Easter bunnies, colorful snowflakes to the cross of Jesus Christ.

Mankind, holy people, is continually in extreme denial about death. Yet God will have none of it. God literally rubs mankind’s face in death through aging human bodies, the sprawling cemeteries, countless people dying daily of every age. The earth itself giving witness that death is real, even in nature itself-trees die, animals die, etc., even our possessions- cars and everything we own decays at some point, in some way and become unusable. The tools/weapons of powerful armed forces eventually lie in military junkyards rusting out.

God, unrelentingly reminds mankind even in the minutiae-of everyday life, the refrigerator, stove, sheets, shoes, clothes etc., eventually wear out and become unusable.

Why is God going to such great lengths to show mankind the impermanence of everything on earth? Why is God so relentless in throwing the monkey wrench of death in all the works of mankind? Why does God, keep ramming it down the throat of mankind that he is a dirty, filthy, corrupt, horrible sinner who has nothing to offer Him and is fully deserving of the curse of sin and death?

In this autopsy of mankind, brethren, the eternal/final determination of the cause of all death in the secular world, is that God alone gives limited physical life and it is God alone that takes physical life away. Death is therefore God’s punishment of mankind for their sins.

Mankind cowers, denies, the inescapable truth-God owns us and everything else. It is God who has set the eternal standard for mankind and there is absolutely nothing mankind can do about it, whether it is liked or not.

Beloveds, God wants His people, whom He has removed from the secular world, to fully understand the state of the secular world and that He has separated His people forever from it in every way.

Ro 11: 34For who hath known the mind of the Lord? or who hath been his counseller? 35Or who hath first given to him, and it shall be recompensed unto him again? 36For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen.

God’s word translation: Ro 11: 35 Who gave the Lord something which the Lord must pay back? 36Everything is from him and by him and for him. Glory belongs to him forever! Amen!

Brothers and sisters, it seems no matter how hard God slaps mankind upside the head, mankind in great error continues to foolishly imagine that he has something to give or some work to do for God that God needs and cannot do without. The second great error is that mankind falsely reasons that God has to pay him back in return.

Obviously, holy people, mankind is very busy absolutely in vain, trying to make God in the image of man. Nevertheless, the reverse is eternally true that God has made man in His image. God is complete in and of Himself, needing nothing from man, and owing absolutely nothing to man. It is man that is totally in need of God and fully indebted to Him. This will remain true for all eternity, world without end. Amen.

Mankind, dearly beloveds, is altogether corrupt, filthy, defiled, born spiritually dead sinners and doomed for physical death and the grave. Mankind has no goodness nor righteousness in or of himself that is acceptable to God in any manner whatsoever. This is the whole point of the Law, holy people.  

The Law wholly proves all mankind as sinners, and that all their humanistic works to attain righteousness are totally worthless, corrupt, defiled and unacceptable to God. Furthermore, the Law will absolutely judge and convict every rebellious soul who denies that they are sinners, and falsely claim righteousness on the basis of offering to God their own totally unacceptable defiled, sinful, putrid, corrupt works. Ecc 7:20 - For there is not a just man upon earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not.

SIN AND THE SECULAR WORLD

Jesus Christ is the only sinless man who ever lived upon earth. Jesus Christ is the first person raised by God physically and permanently from the grave. Jesus Christ is God the Son.

Mankind will never call the true causes of all deaths on earth what it truly is-SIN. We keep coming back to that word-SIN, holy brethren.

1 Co 15:56The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. Death hurts us deep way down, death stings: I. a sting, as that of bees, scorpions, locusts. Since animals wound by their sting and even cause death, Paul attributes death, personified as a sting, i.e. a deadly weapon.

Beloveds, it is impossible to think or study death in a solely clinical way. All mankind sooner or later will feel the sting of death. We can try to run from it, but we can’t ever hide from it. Everyone has or will have an unwanted but nevertheless deeply personal relationship with death. Every one of us have had to or will have to face the terrible sorrow of laying our parents, our spouses, our children, other relatives and friends in the grave, as well as sympathize with strangers in their grief along the way. Eventually our families will mourn our deaths too. How many of us in this “valley of tears” long to hear the voices, feel the touch, of our deceased loved ones again?

God answers loud and absolutely clear that the cause of all deaths on earth is due to sin, regardless of the so-called causes that mankind writes on the death certificates.

SIN AND THE SECULAR WORLD

With the exception of Enoch and Elijah, children of God, all human beings die. In fact, the earth can be seen in a sense as a giant graveyard, with the currently living, building and living over the previously buried deceased, and forgotten, who in turn will themselves die, be forgotten, and the next generations arise to live, work, and build above them also. This has been an endless pattern upon the earth, for now. It is not uncommon for those living and building new structures to find the bones of those forgotten and long buried in the earth.

Clinical autopsies serve two major purposes. They are performed to gain more insight into pathological processes and determine what factors contributed to a patient's death.

Through determining causality, the autopsy can rule out dangerous contagious diseases. By cataloging the causes of death, it can be determined which are most prevalent, and hopefully develop a strategy for early intervention in hopes of preventing or reducing such deaths.

In the secular world, death comes in many forms; naturally occurring, unknown causes, EUTHANASIA, ABORTION, capital punishment, accidents, injuries, various diseases, homicide, suicide, the results of wars, drugs, and natural or manmade disasters, etc.

In the secular world death is defined as the cessation of all vital functions of the body including the heartbeat, brain activity (including the brain stem), and breathing. At some point in death or dying some can and are resuscitated, even so all will sooner or later return to the point of irreversible death.

Mankind has a very narrow understanding of death, and see it mainly as the physical death of the body.

Interestingly, some have a limited understanding of what they term the “afterlife”. Some believe they can contact the dead directly or through “mediums”.

GOD'S WORD® Translation Isa. 8:19

People will say to you, "Ask for help from the mediums and the fortunetellers, who whisper and mutter." Shouldn't people ask their God for help instead? Why should they ask the dead to help the living? 

Spiritual Guidance Comes from God Alone, brothers and sisters. Christians are absolutely forbidden to consult with the dead, psychics, mediums, witches, sorcerers, diviners or the occult in any manner whatsoever.

The Bible absolutely teaches that spiritual guidance must be sought from God alone through Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. He has provided everything we need for this life in his Word.

Jhn 16:13Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. 14He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you. 15All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you.

Throughout the ages, dearly beloveds, mankind has doggedly fought death, his relentless foe in vain. In vain mankind has combed through the land, sea, space, laboratories etc., continually searching for eternal life. Some have settled for extension of their years.

Some freeze or try to preserve their bodies or parts of them in hopes that scientist of the future will have found a way to bring them back to life and health. Mankind tries to preserve the resemblance of life, even in the dead.

 Ecc 9:5 For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten.

The rich, in vain, name their lands etc., after themselves, in hopes that their memory will be retained, not forgotten, amongst the living upon the earth: Psa 49: 6They that trust in their wealth, and boast themselves in the multitude of their riches; 7None of them can by any means redeem his brother, nor give to God a ransom for him:8(For the redemption of their soul is precious, and it ceaseth for ever:)9That he should still live for ever, and not see corruption.10For he seeth that wise men die, likewise the fool and the brutish person perish, and leave their wealth to others.

11Their inward thought is, that their houses shall continue for ever, and their dwelling places to all generations; they call their lands after their own names.12Nevertheless man being in honour abideth not: he is like the beasts that perish.

SIN AND THE SECULAR WORLD

Beloveds, it is a hard pill for mankind to swallow that God retains His sovereign control over all human beings and every aspect of all of His creations. Mankind goes to great length to deny the existence of God, and that He created them and all creation.

Mankind has erected their lying false prophets to put forth the lies that mankind came into existence through a so -called big bang, and evolved from monkeys.

This is totally irrelevant, for they are All still going to appear in judgement before God, and give account to Him for all their evil lies against Him.

Holy people, we know in whom we have believed, the absolute truth of the word of God: (John 1:1-5) Gen. 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

God controls the weather: With great aplomb, the weathermen and women find it a pleasure to explain and catalog various kinds of weather, and causality.

Yet for all of their knowledge, mankind has no power over the weather, he cannot produce it nor control it. All peoples, ( including the weathermen and women), just like the birds and beasts of the field have to take the weather as it comes good or bad. But the Bible remains absolutely clear-God creates and controls the weather:

Job 37: 5God thundereth marvellously with his voice; great things doeth he, which we cannot comprehend. 6For he saith to the snow, Be thou on the earth; likewise to the small rain, and to the great rain of his strength.7He sealeth up the hand of every man; that all men may know his work.8Then the beasts go into dens, and remain in their places.9Out of the south cometh the whirlwind: and cold out of the north.10By the breath of God frost is given: and the breadth of the waters is straitened.11Also by watering he wearieth the thick cloud: he scattereth his bright cloud:12And it is turned round about by his counsels: that they may do whatsoever he commandeth them upon the face of the world in the earth.13He causeth it to come, whether for correction, or for his land, or for mercy.

God controls the weather and makes it serve His purpose on earth, It is, again holy brethren, absolutely irrelevant that some do not accept this eternal absolute truth. The unbelief and lies of mankind have no power whatsoever to invalidate God’s power over all of His creation.

God calls all who contradict His absolute truth LIARS.

Rom 3:4 God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged.

But as for the household of God, we praise Him in everything.

Psa 147: 15He sendeth forth his commandment upon earth: his word runneth very swiftly.16He giveth snow like wool: he scattereth the hoarfrost like ashes.17He casteth forth his ice like morsels: who can stand before his cold?18He sendeth out his word, and melteth them: he causeth his wind to blow, and the waters flow.

God rules in the affairs of men including the political systems of mankind:

Dan 4:17This matter is by the decree of the watchers, and the demand by the word of the holy ones: to the intent that the living may know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will, and setteth up over it the basest of men.

God is not impressed by the so- called “glory” of mankind that He created. Mankind crows of itself as the “crown of creation”, however, God, says something altogether different.

Isa 40:22It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers;

Beloveds, God never has any agenda or program to make any nation great. It does not matter how great any nation boasts of themselves to be, and thinks that by their power they will last forever- they will not. Isa 40:17 All nations before him are as nothing; and they are counted to him less than nothing, and vanity.

It does not matter that any nation boasts that God is on their side, and in line with their plans; because God never serves the ambitions of any nation, in fact the reverse is the eternal truth.

Isa 60:12For the nation and kingdom that will not serve thee shall perish; yea, those nations shall be utterly wasted.

As Christians, we are grateful to live in a nation where, (for now), we have the freedom of worship. Let us make no idol of this nation nor anything else. As citizens of the kingdom of God, let us continue to use our God-given power to restrain evil, and speak up and work for what is right, including preaching and living the gospel massage everywhere we can. This we will do by the power of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Holy people, let us not get caught up in the spirit of nationalism or national pride. Instead let us continually glory in the Lord.

 Gal 6:14But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world.

Brothers and sisters, mankind loves to boast of his power, his beauty, his wealth, his skills, his dominion, his intellect and has this greatly mistaken idea that he absolutely reigns, unchecked and supreme over the earth, and that his will is sovereign. However, the Bible puts this error to rest for all time.

Every scrap of food people eat on earth comes from God.

Psa 50: 12If I were hungry, I would not tell thee: for the world is mine, and the fulness thereof.

Psa 104:14 He causeth the grass to grow for the cattle, and herb for the service of man: that he may bring forth food out of the earth;

Psa 136:25 Who giveth food to all flesh: for his mercy endureth for ever.

Act 14:17 Nevertheless he left not himself without witness, in that he did good, and gave us rain from heaven, and fruitful seasons, filling our hearts with food and gladness.

God controls life and death

(We can’t stop Him)

1 Sa. 2:6The LORD killeth, and maketh alive: he bringeth down to the grave, and bringeth up.

Brothers and sisters, you, me, us, nobody will live any longer upon the earth than what God allows.  Ecc 8:8There is no man that hath power over the spirit to retain the spirit; neither hath he power in the day of death: and there is no discharge in that war; neither shall wickedness deliver those that are given to it.

 Ecc 3:20 All go unto one place; all are of the dust, and all turn to dust again.

Limited years, and death is the thorn in the side of mankind. The endless search of mankind for eternal life or to create eternal life is in total vain, it is never going to happen.

In a way, one of the cruelest cuts is that God made mankind out of the common dust of the earth. The cruelest cut of all is that Man, at the pinnacle and the pauper picking garbage, God makes equal when he returns them to the dust.

 Job 34:15All flesh shall perish together, and man shall turn again unto dust.

Dearly beloveds, the children of ‘nice” people are seen as well behaved, and “nice”. The white-collar criminal is usually sentenced to a “nice” prison that does not have those “really bad people” in them.

If “nice” people or their children harms anyone, the law might try to see if the crime could have been done possibly out of mental instability of some sort; in addition to looking at other motivations.

However, saints (G40 hagios), if the “really bad person” or his children harms anyone, they are seen as inexcusable vicious criminals that should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. This, might seem unfair, but is not likely to change, especially when there is historical evidence of criminality.

Senseless crimes occur across the spectrum of mankind, and appear totally unrelated to any so called “class”. Many times, neither the perpetrator nor the law can find any explanation for these senseless crimes. Crime also can and does occur collusively between all of the so-called “classes” of criminals.

The various crimes on earth are never addressed as sin. Sin is seen as something that “those religious folks”, Christians in particular made up.

Man is fallible and unable to document all the crimes that are done on the earth. Many escape detection, and some are overlooked on purpose.

The plain truth, brothers and sisters, is that if crime/pathology would be called what it really is- SIN, the world could not supply enough paper to write all of them down. This is because God’s tally of sin is exceedingly fine, not one sin escapes His count.

True also, is that sin cannot be ranked by classification of persons, it runs like a cancer in varying degrees throughout all peoples on earth.

Rom 3: 12They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.13Their throat is an open sepulchre; with their tongues they have used deceit; the poison of asps is under their lips:14Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness:15Their feet are swift to shed blood:16Destruction and misery are in their ways:17And the way of peace have they not known:18There is no fear of God before their eyes.

Holy people, listen!!! Not all of the restraints on mankind can fully stop him from continuing to soak the earth with blood, destroying/defiling people, the land, the water, the air, the animals, up in space, everything. This is the heritage of the unsaved man born with the Adamic sin nature, who continually rages against the cage of God.

Ps 2:1Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing? 2The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying,3Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us. 4He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.

Brothers and sisters, the so- called “class” of the white-collar criminal engenders notoriety not fear, in most people, because it is mistakenly thought that he or she is not dangerous and not violent. Beloveds of God, this is not true, because some can rob people by stealth of their entire life savings causing their victims to lose their homes, college funds for their children, and even some of their victims to commit suicide.

White- collar criminals as mentioned earlier, may resort to violence to evade detection, shame of exposure and criminal prosecution. The white-collar criminal in charge of corporations can do damage on a grand scale such as causing environmental damage that can destroy the land and be harmful to the health and lives of people.

Holy people, the white-collar criminal is seen as “a nice person, who had a slip” and did wrong. He is seen as clean, well dressed, educated, refined and cultured. He is expert in denying culpability by declaring his misdeeds as not representative of who he truly is, a “nice” person, that just made a “mistake”, in a lifetime of being a “nice” person, which may or may not be true. 

 Pro 5:22 His own iniquities shall take the wicked himself, and he shall be holden with the cords of his sins.

Brothers and sisters the fact that we have laws on earth that controls and sets the boundaries for all human interactions is not an accident. God is the originator and power that put these laws in place. Ro. 13: 1Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God. 2Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation. 3For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same: 4For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil. 5Wherefore ye must needs be subject, not only for wrath, but also for conscience sake.

Saints (G40 hagios), it is totally irrelevant to God that mankind does not acknowledge Him as the originator and giver of the law, all are still under it whether they like it or not.

SIN AND THE SECULAR WORLD

Brothers and sisters, God always snatches away the coverings, the shiny veneer of glory, the glittering romanticized mythical view of mankind, to reveal the sordid, corrupt, fallen, horrible creature of decay that he truly is. (Let us resist the urge to look away, beloveds, even though this truth is ugly, nevertheless it is still the truth.)

Holy people, the harshest of prison sentencing is reserved for the so-called “class” of “really bad people”. It is widely agreed that this is justified.

However, there are proponents of “restorative justice” who believe that restorative rehabilitation is much better than harsh prison sentencing.

Rightly or wrongly, some resent the fact that “restorative justice” proponents, many who live in wealthy gated communities, do not have to share their communities with the criminals released, whom they claim have benefited from restorative rehabilitation.

The general population opposes “restorative justice” and shares the main view of law enforcement, which upholds that people be sentenced for their crimes first, then rehabilitation can be offered in prison, by choice or mandated court order.

The point here is that this is supposed to help the criminal understand that their crimes will be punished and will result in the loss of freedom, so that this will deter him or her from continuing criminal behaviors after release. To date, holy people, there is no evidence that any secular form of punishment or rehab has any lasting deterrence or impact on reducing criminality, although small numbers of criminals are successfully rehabilitated. Yet, putting the criminal away even for a time is still seen as helpful in protecting the general population.

Sadly, dearly beloveds, the prisons still remain a revolving door for many. The death penalty is given for those seen as beyond redemption, whose acts are so heinous that they deserve death.

The justice system on earth is failing. Sometimes, as mentioned earlier, innocent people are wrongly convicted, and sometimes guilty people are set free.

The justice system is so overwhelmed, underfunded and so under staffed that many violators are never caught in the first place. Things are going to get far worse.

Mat 24:12And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.

(But the holy people will keep themselves in the love of God.) 

For this reason, among others, brothers and sisters, whole industries have arisen whose sole purpose is to help people protect themselves from becoming victims.

Ecc 8:11Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil. 3This is an evil among all things that are done under the sun, that there is one event unto all: yea, also the heart of the sons of men is full of evil, and madness is in their heart while they live, and after that they go to the dead.

Dearly beloveds, we realize that the so-called “class” of “Really bad people” worldwide are greatly feared by other people for good reason due to the murders and violent bodily damages they can and do perpetrate against their victims.

Therefore, saints (G40 hagios), it is unlikely that violent offenders will engender much compassion. Most people, for obvious reasons want, “really bad people” captured and imprisoned as soon and for as long as possible. “Really bad people” are deemed to be poor, poorly educated, rude, crude, violent, erratic dangerous thugs, who may or may not be part of a gang or other criminal organization.

Always let us keep in mind that some people can and do rise above the circumstances of their birth and environment.

The children of “really bad people” are seen as likely to be illegitimate, loud, unruly, rude, and dangerous. This so- called “class” is likely to fill the juvenile and adult prison systems.

Psa 58:3 The wicked are estranged from the womb: they go astray as soon as they be born, speaking lies.

The general population tends to classify “human pathology” on a scale of starting with the “class” of  “really bad people” like those who commit violent street and other crimes against the populace; as opposed to the so-called “class” of “nice people who do a wrong”. It is important to grasp that some people can and do rise above the difficult conditions in which they were born.

Those in law enforcement note that due to technology and the profitability of the drug trade, etc. there is much crossover. For examples, some street thugs might move up as they say, and learn to steal via technology without even leaving the house, some banks might engage in laundering drug money, and some white-collar criminals might resort to violence to evade detection.

Those who are in the middle of these two so- called “classes” let us call this the “average people” also commit a variety of crimes, whether more or less is not well studied or documented, as the focus is on those crimes most likely to impact the general populace in terms of their personal safety and/or finances.

SIN AND THE SECULAR WORLD

(There is a man in that cage)

Mankind is caged from birth. First man is trained by parents or caretakers as to what is forbidden and what is not. It is here that he is first rewarded for doing good and receives punishment for doing wrong. It is here that his inborn sense of right and wrong, good and evil is awakened.

Throughout the life of man, he will be caged, that is his conduct will be and is restrained by a host of moral, civil and criminal laws from the home, to the streets, to work, play, marriage and all social interactions. He picks his nose publicly and finds moral disapproval, he picks a pocket and the invisible bars become real bars to restrain and punish him or her. Brothers and sister, all these restraints on the natural man is not because he is good.

SIN AND THE SECULAR WORLD

(Is that a man in that cage?)

To the consternation of mankind, every time he shouts out to the universe “mankind is great” it always and continually echoes back with the deafening roar, “ONLY GOD IS GREAT”.

Say this eternal truth with me, brothers and sisters: ONLY GOD IS GREAT!!  Psa 95:3 For the LORD is a great God, and a great King above all gods.  Psa 96:4 For the LORD is great, and greatly to be praised: he is to be feared above all gods.

 Psa 104:1 Bless the LORD, O my soul. O LORD my God, thou art very great; thou art clothed with honour and majesty.  

 Psa 135:5 For I know that the LORD is great, and that our Lord is above all gods.

Evidenced all over the world in every nation and culture, we find that people have put in place written, and unwritten standards of what they deem as right and wrong that the people under them are fully expected to follow to maintain order, their membership in the group and to avoid punishment and/or expulsion from it. Therefore, holy people, in this way Man is caged with invisible bars throughout the earth. When man breaks out he is restrained with force and/or physical bars.

Punishment is administered to violators of these written and unwritten standards, dependent on the penalty established within them. Due to corruption by those in power, punishment may be applied unfairly more or less to some groups than others.

In conclusion, brethren we find, that even though mankind knows good and evil, he is more inclined toward the latter. Human pathology remains mankind’s calling card on earth, in varying degrees from major to ways so minor that it is hidden from people, and only known by the one(s) doing it. Psa 90:8 Thou hast set our iniquities before thee, our secret sins in the light of thy countenance.

Gen 2:9 And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.

Gen 2:17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

Gen 3:5 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.

We circle back to where we started, brothers and sisters, with proof positive that Man is born a sinner, but he is still born with the capacity to know right from wrong, good from evil, therefore he is responsible for his actions and expected to have a measure of self-control well above that found in the animal kingdom. Nevertheless, brothers and sisters, Mankind has a profoundly deep distrust of mankind-that he bears very close watching.

Dearly beloveds, more than a few times, I wondered if a person could starve due to the way so many products are so sturdily sealed to prevent tampering. On the other hand, how many of us have refused to eat products that have damaged seals, out of fear somebody might have put something hurtful to others in it? How many times do we hear of those who have opened products, put poison in them and returned them to the shelves to injure the unsuspecting?

People know good from evil, nevertheless it is impossible for any human being to translate him or herself by their own efforts from this physical world into the spiritual world-the kingdom of God.

SIN AND THE SECULAR WORLD

(The justice of Man vs the justice of God)

Brothers and sisters, God charged Adam with sin, on the basis of his completed act, when he actually ate the forbidden fruit. In many ways, we can see the steps leading up to Adam’s fall. Adam didn’t stop the devil from tempting eve, Adam didn’t stop Eve from eating the forbidden fruit, and instead ate of it too. Adam didn’t repent of his sin, but instead made excuses for himself before God and blamed Eve.

Dearly beloveds, we well know that Man’s court of law is imperfect, and full of flaws. Some people are convicted solely on circumstantial evidence, or partly even on malice aforethought.

Some eyewitnesses can be unreliable or sometimes lie. Bribery, intimidation, favoritism, poor defense, defective evidence, social dislike of particular groups, a “hanging” judge or jury who sees guilt beforehand and a host of other ills plague the justice system of Man, which allows innocents to be jailed, even executed, and in some cases the guilty to be set free. Sentencing can be uneven with some receiving punishment lighter or harsher than warranted for the crime.

Were the devil, Adam, and Eve tried in the court of Man, who knows what might have been the outcome?

However, the devil, Adam, and Eve, received perfect justice, and subsequent punishment in God’s justice system. This is because unlike Mans flawed justice system, the justice system of God’s is absolutely eternally superior to the justice system of Man. It is perfect and without a flaw of any kind. God’s standard is the same for all. In God’s court, the proof of guilt requires 100% of evidence. God’s eyewitness is absolutely reliable, totally true and untainted, with a lie being impossible. God’s evidence is unimpeachable. Each and every sentence God gives will fit the crime. No one innocent will ever be found guilty in God’s court and no one guilty will ever go free.

 We leave this scene with the echo of God’s curse, and warning, ever reverberating in the ears of all humanity: (IN ADAM ALL DIE!)
