STUDIES IN HEBREWS
CHAPTER ONE
Dearly beloved brothers and sisters,
sending love to you and prayers to our Lord Jesus Christ for you and yours, and
appreciate your reciprocity towards me. We know that without the Holy Spirit no
one can know God or understand His word to actually live it in public and in
private We know we did not receive the Holy Spirit through humanistic works, or efforts: 2Co 1:21 Now he
which
stablisheth us with you in Christ, and hath
anointed us, is God; 22
who hath also sealed us, and given the
earnest of the Spirit in our hearts. Eph 1: 13 In whom ye also trusted,
after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of
your salvation: in whom also after that ye
believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of
promise, (Mar
1:8; Luk
3:16).
Therefore, dearly beloveds, we go into
this study not as intellectual scholars seeking a mere academic understanding,
but as the family of God, His children, royal priests, whom He has consecrated in
anointing us and sealing us and all who believe with the Holy Spirit, our
Teacher of absolute truth, through faith in the complete atoning work of our sinless
Messiah Jesus Christ, the Son of God; the Word of God, both Saviour and Lord. So,
if anyone is just a scholar looking for academic points to argue or what ever such
will gain nothing here. It is no wonder that most of these so-called scholars
proclaim nobody can know God, which is because they do not have the spirit of God
through faith in Jesus Christ.
However, holy brethren, God’s people will
always find much spiritual understanding
of our history, and the deepest root of faith, peace, and rest in His
everlasting inerrant truth and love.
Brothers and sisters, I believe the only
storms of life, situations, circumstances, and conditions we cannot weather are
those that we try to go through without the help and power of our Lord and
Saviour Jesus Christ; however, with God all things are possible.
Let us give thanks to God, holy brethren,
who even as He sealed Noah and all those with Him in the Ark, preserving them
from the destruction of the flood of His righteous wrath, that destroyed all
wicked mankind, has in these last times forever sealed us too through faith in Jesus
Christ, the Son of God, the Word of God, both Saviour and Lord, Who alone is
the true and only Ark of salvation and safety from the destruction and wrath of
God to come against the wicked.
From the beginning, and through the atoning work of Lord Jesus Christ;
the Triune God has been and continues to be involved synergistically in
salvation and over God’s people as a whole and all are to be worshipped equally
as One God in three persons not three Gods. They are equal and inseparable,
feel free to study this further on your own, brethren. Understand, however the
primary role of the Holy Spirit as teacher, empowerment for Christian living: Jhn 16:13
Howbeit when he, the
Spirit of truth, is come, he will
guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he
shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will
shew you things to come.
Jhn 16:14
He shall
glorify me: for he shall
receive of mine, and shall shew it unto
you.
There are those who try to minimize the
worship of Lord Jesus Christ, or to promote worship solely of the Holy Spirit, and/or
only of God. But God expressly warns and wants all to know that anyone coming
to Him having rejected or minimized His Son which is the same thing as
rejection, God rejects them, and all such are still dead in their sins, lest
they repent and come believing in the Son as God has commanded all men. Jesus Christ
is to receive worship equally with God the Father and the Holy Spirit. Please
feel free holy brethren, to study worship of God further on your own. Jesus is
the heart of worship towards God the Father, who receives none who receives not
His Son Jesus Christ as equal, and the sole door of salvation and entry into
the kingdom of God.
Jo 2:23
Whosoever denieth the Son, the same
hath not the Father: (but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also.
Jhn 14:6
Jesus saith unto him, I am the
way, the truth, and the life: no
man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Jhn 5:23
That all men should
honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He
that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him.
1Jo 5:10
He that believeth on the Son of
God hath the witness in himself: he that
believeth not God hath made him a
liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son.
The Holy Spirit is in full agreement with
God the Father totally regarding His Son Jesus Christ: Jhn 15:26
But when the Comforter is
come, whom I will send unto you from the
Father, even the Spirit of
truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall
testify of me:
We are commanded to remain steadfast in
the doctrine of Christ. God grants no options to this doctrine: Jo 1:9
Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of
Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of
Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.
Here are some references verses, but of
course there are many many more than I put here. Feel free to study others that
are found throughout scripture brethren.
Mt 3: 11; Mt 12: 31-33; John 3; 4-7; JOHN
14:6; John 14: 8-11; John 14: 15-17; John 14:26; John 16: 13-14; Lke 24:45-49; Act
1:4-5; Acts 5: 32; Acts 10:47; Ro 8:9; Ro 8:12; Ro 8:16; 1 Co 1:11; 1Co 2:10-11;
1Co 2: 13; 1 Co12:13; Gal 5:22-23; Eph 1:
13-14; Eph 3:16; Eph 4:30; Tit 3:4-7; 2Ti
3:16-17;
JOHN 1:33 HIGHLIGHT
The Supremacy of the Son
(Colossians 1:15-23)
Hebrews: 1God, who at sundry times and
in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, 2Hath in these last days spoken
unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things,
by whom also he made the worlds;
The
question here, brethren is what did all the prophets through times past preach?
The Bible declares that ALL the prophets
preached the same message about Jesus Christ, in various ways:
Act 10:43
To
him give all the prophets witness, that
through his name whosoever believeth in him shall
receive remission of sins.
Act 4:12
Neither is
there salvation in any other: for there
is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be
saved.
Last days is a comprehensive term in
which certain worldwide events will occur leading up to the direct contact of God
with all men, Jesus catching away His people; His final dealing with the wicked and the
devil, the final eternal judgement/punishment of the wicked, the reward of the
righteous, complete destruction of this present earth, and the establishment of
a new heaven and earth eternally under
the control of God and the final home of the righteous directly in the presence
of the triune God.
In times past only certain men prophets,
kings etc. had the Holy Spirit, and also
the Holy Spirit would sometimes work through men only for a specific purpose
but would not remain. Without the Holy Spirit in all men, we understand why many
did not fully understand the message: Eph 3:5
Which in other ages was not made
known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto
his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit;
There is none better than Jesus Christ
the Author of salvation who can truly understand and impart the everlasting
gospel in full as God intends, and give to them that believe through Him the Holy
Spirit through faith in His name the power to live it.
Heb 2:3
How shall we escape, if we
neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to
be spoken by the Lord, and was
confirmed unto us by them that heard him;

STUDIES IN HEBREWS
CHAPTER ONE
Brothers and sisters, thanks for joining
me here once again. We cannot say it often enough, God is love and God is truth
as set in the Standard of Jesus Christ, and laid out in the New Covenant and
thoroughly confirmed throughout the Old Testament. I pray that we will walk in
love and obey our Lord’s commandments: 1Jo 3:23
And this is his commandment, That we
should believe on the name of
his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he
gave us commandment.
1Jo 4:7
Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that
loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.
1Pe 1:22
Seeing ye have
purified your souls in obeying the
truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of
the brethren, see that ye love one another with a
pure heart fervently:
Jhn 13:35
By this shall all men know that ye
are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.
1Jo 3:14
We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we
love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death.
1Jo 3:15
Whosoever hateth his brother is a
murderer: and ye
know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.
AMP
1 Jo 3: 14 14We know
that we have passed out of death into Life, because we love the brothers and
sisters. He who does not love remains in [spiritual] death. 15Everyone who hates (works
against) his brother [in Christ] is [at heart] a murderer [by God’s standards];
and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him.
No love=no life. Dearly beloveds, we know
that people can profess to know all scripture, have human awards, many
accolades, accomplishments, wealth, power, or be amongst the poorest of persons,
however without love they are all equally spiritually dead with the nature of a
murderer in the eyes of God and His people.
Praise God for the multitudes of brothers
and sisters who fervently love Lord Jesus and all that are begotten of Him. In
starting this study, I am led to post this whole first chapter for your reading.
Holy brethren, Lord Jesus will guide us in the Prescence of God and the Holy
Spirit will stop us along the way to personally feed us the word as we need for
our edification and understanding as God our Father presents His Son Jesus Christ
in blazing glory to us and even the whole world
Heb 1:1God, who
at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time
past unto the fathers by the prophets, 2
Hath in these last days spoken unto
us by his Son, whom he hath
appointed heir of all things, by whom also he
made the worlds; 3 Who being the
brightness of his glory, and the express
image of his person, and upholding all things by
the word of his power, when he
had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the
right hand of the Majesty on high; 4
Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath
by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.
5For unto
which of the angels said he at any
time, Thou art my Son, this
day have I begotten thee? And again, I will
be to him a Father, and he shall
be to me a Son? 6 And again, when he
bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the
angels of God worship him. 7And of the
angels he saith, Who
maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a
flame of fire. 8 But unto the Son he
saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and
ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the
sceptre of thy kingdom. 9 Thou hast
loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath
anointed thee with the oil of
gladness above thy fellows. 10
And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the
foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the
works of thine hands: 11 They shall
perish; but thou remainest; and they all shall
wax old as doth a garment; 12 And as a
vesture shalt thou fold them up, and they shall be
changed: but thou art the
same, and thy years shall not fail. 13 But to which of
the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right
hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool?
14
Are they not all ministering spirits, sent
forth to minister for them who shall be heirs
of salvation? love, serola

STUDIES IN HEBREWS
CHAPTER ONE
God bless you brothers and sisters, I
love you and look forward to going into the scriptures with you as we are led and
conducted by Lord Jesus Christ, knowing our Teacher the Holy Spirit will guide
us into all truth in the will of God our
Father, and in His presence.
Indeed, dearly beloveds, God sent down
the gospel with the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Truth to ensure that it is
without error, is inerrant, absolute, explicit, exclusive, exhaustive, final, finished, and
complete for all eternity and again, holy brethren, absolutely without error,
as it was written by holy men under the power of and guided by the Holy Spirit,
in the will of God The Father, and
manifested in the person of Jesus Christ our Lord, The Word of God, The Son of God.
Hebrews is a searing, fiery, explosive,
explicit, exclusive, exhaustive, passionate, full on, heartfelt testimony of God the Father
in adoration and love to and for His only begotten Son Jesus Christ. God the
Father presents His Son, Jesus Christ with such profound intimacy as only a loving Father
can do.
Holy brethren, God our Father fully
intends that we should be comforted, encouraged, and rooted in the intimate
knowledge of His Son our only Saviour Jesus Christ too, the depths of His
character, His love, His truth, His heart, His mind, His will, His ministry, His
glory and His terrifying power. We will find nothing touchy feely, wishy washy,
warm and fuzzy or tentative about Jesus from the mouth of God here, as God walks
thundering throughout the scriptures as a whole commanding that His Son be equally
worshipped with Himself by all peoples. Dearly beloveds, as always open your Bibles to mine and study the Word along with me in this upcoming study.
We know, brothers and sisters, that the nonnegotiable
hallmark of the Christian is LOVE with the EVIDENCE of obedience to all the
commandments of God within the Standard of Jesus Christ according to the
eternal New Covenant.
Jhn 14:21
He that
hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it
is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall
be loved of my Father, and I will
love him, and will manifest myself to him.
Jhn 14:24
He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the
word which ye hear is not mine, but the
Father's which sent me.
God’s Translation: Jhn 14: 24A person who doesn't love me
doesn't do what I say. I don't make up what you hear me say. What I say comes
from the Father who sent me.

DINNER WITH JESUS CHRIST
END NOTES
Holy brethren, let us praise Lord Jesus, the
Jewish Messiah, and Saviour of all peoples who trust and believe in Him,
whether Jew or Gentile. Those of us gentiles
in Lord Jesus are not stepchildren, because Jesus has made Jew and gentile one new man in
Him in His New eternal Covenant: Heb 12:24;
Heb
12:25: take care, let none reject His New Covenant: see Rom 10:12; Eph 1:6; Eph 2:18.
Brothers and sisters, we must put away
any and all false teachings that Jesus loves the gentile believers less than
the Jewish believers: Act 10: 34 Then Peter opened his mouth, and
said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons:
35
But in every nation he
that
feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with
him.
Thanks God for the peace He has made for
us through the cross of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ: Eph 2:14. My prayer for me, for you and yours, dearly
beloveds, is that we will be steadfastly convicted, convinced, and fully persuaded to rest
in the comfort and love of Lord Jesus Christ who gave Himself for us,
to deliver us from all our sins and to make us children of light and the people
of God: 1Pe 2:9
But ye are a
chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a
peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the
praises of him who hath called you out
of darkness into his marvellous light:
Brothers and sisters, there is so much
more that we can look at in this rendering of scriptures, and feel free to
continue on your own if you like.
We can apply the word, in whatever way
our teacher the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Absolute Truth, would instruct us
according to our needs, as led by Lord Jesus Christ in the presence of God, for
our continued benefit, growth and maturation.
This we know unequivocally that our
Saviour Jesus Christ only accepts what we do or give to Him if it is out of
love for Him, and nothing else: 1Co 13:3 And though I
bestow all my goods to feed the poor,
and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it
profiteth me nothing.
1Jo 3:10 in this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he
that loveth not his brother.
1Jo 4:8 He
that
loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
1Jo 4:16 And we have
known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he
that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.

DINNER WITH JESUS CHRIST
Thank God, holy
brethren, that we are of One Lord, One God, One Faith, One Baptism, One New
Covenant, One Heart, One Mind, and One holy people in Him. Let us continually
reflect the image of God to all men, and pray not only for ourselves but even for
all men even our enemies, that all men will turn from darkness to the light of Jesus
Christ to be saved and be made children of God, delivered for ever from the
wrath of God and everlasting condemnation in hell to await the final judgement
of sinners in the lake of fire. Preaching the gospel is God’s absolute only way
and means by which we are to bring the salvation message of Jesus Christ to the
world, not by humanistic programs or schemes.
In all
the four gospels, dearly beloveds, Mary utters not one word, just steady
pouring out her oil on Jesus’ feet, kissing our Lord’s feet, watering them with
her tears, and wiping them with the hairs of her head. All of this was to show
Lord Jesus her heart, her great love and gratitude beforehand in preparation
for His death: Mar
14:8.
The surprising thing in this rendering of
scripture, with the exception of Judas Iscariot, is why weren’t all of them not
down at Lord Jesus’ feet with ointment in gratitude in preparation and honor of
His soon to come sacrifice of His life for them and all who would believe on
Him. They were taught the scriptures, they knew He is the Messiah and that He would
offer His life for the sins of the people: Isa 53:12
Therefore will I divide him a
portion with the great, and he shall divide the
spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his
soul unto death: and he was numbered with the
transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made
intercession for the transgressors.
It was Mary who understood in her actions
that Lord Jesus Christ would give His sinless body and pour out His sinless blood onto death, and be
the costliest gift that a sinful world would ever know, for in doing so He
would bring forth the forgiveness of all sins for all who would believe on Him.
he would wash away the filth of her sins, her shame and disgrace.
Brothers and sisters, Jesus knew Mary’s
heart and her intentions, 2Ti 2:19, towards
Him and His message: Jesus thoroughly examines
every heart. Jesus did not need to hear Mary say anything, she had well spoken
in her heart and Jesus heard her, saying to Mary:
Luk
7:48 And he said unto her, Thy
sins are forgiven.
49
And they that sat at meat with him began to
say within themselves, Who is this that forgiveth sins also?
50 And he said to the woman, Thy faith hath
saved thee; go in peace.
Holy brethren, it is obvious that these
men questioned the idea of forgiveness within themselves, because they ignored scripture,
for they had all been taught: Jer 31:31-32.
Along with many other scriptures that change from God was promised and it was
coming through the Messiah.
Mary had faced a lot of criticism, but it
did nothing to turn Jesus Christ against her and He well defended her from them
all, and He defends all who believe in Him. You know, dearly beloveds, it is the same today, there are some who in
error think God grades on a curve, which He does not.
However, Mary a very sinful but repentant
woman is a wonderful example that there is forgiveness with God regardless of
how many sins one may have committed, for the Lord declares: Mat 9:13 But go
ye and learn what that meaneth, I
will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I
am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
Yet and still, at the end of the day,
brothers and sisters, it only matters what Lord Jesus thinks of us in terms of
salvation, and we are to value and take His word above that of mere men and
always come in faith believing God, for whom it is impossible to lie, for God has absolutely
declared from the Old Testament to the New Testament of Lord Jesus Christ: Isa 1:18
Come now, and let us reason
together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they
shall be as white as snow; though they be red like
crimson, they shall be as wool.
Psa 103:12 As
far as the east is from the west, so far
hath he removed our transgressions from us.
Isa 43:25 - I, even I, am he
that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will
not remember thy sins.
Jer 31:34 …for
I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their
sin no more.
Heb 8:12 - For I
will be merciful to
their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will
I remember no more.
God declares to all who believe on His
Son Jesus Christ:
Rom 10:9 - That if thou
shalt confess with thy mouth the
Lord Jesus, and shalt
believe in thine heart that God hath
raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
13 For whosoever shall call
upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
AMP Ro 10: 9because if you
acknowledge and confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord
[recognizing His power, authority, and majesty as God], and believe in your
heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10For with the heart a person
believes [in Christ as Saviour and Lord] resulting in his justification [that
is, being made righteous--being freed of the guilt of sin and made acceptable
to God]; and with the mouth he acknowledges and confesses [his
faith openly], resulting in and confirming [his]
salvation. 11For the
Scripture says, “WHOEVER
BELIEVES IN HIM [whoever adheres to, trusts in, and relies on Him] WILL
NOT BE DISAPPOINTED [in his expectations].” 12For there is no distinction
between Jew and Gentile; for the same Lord is Lord over all
[of us], and [He is] abounding in riches (blessings) for all who call on Him
[in faith and prayer]. 13For “WHOEVER CALLS ON THE
NAME OF THE LORD WILL BE SAVED.”

DINNER WITH JESUS CHRIST
All thanks and praises
to you Lord Jesus. Your banner over all your people is love. Under your wings
do we trust. Almighty God of power, you show your strength to all who trust in
you. Brothers and sisters, let us bless the name of the Lord continually and
forget none of His benefits, Psa 103:2;
who has washed us in His own sinless blood, and blotted out all our iniquities,
1Jo 2:12;
Heb 8:12.
Let us rest steadfast in
faith, brethren. to our Most Holy and faithful God. We know eternally that
there is none other name under heaven by which men can be saved, Act 4:12. We bow
our hearts to you alone, our God and king forever. The gods of other nations
are mere idols, they cannot see, they are dumb and cannot hear, nor can they
move, nor help in any way, Psa 96:5; 2Co 6:16. But
our God is alive forever, Lord you see us, your eyes never close in sleep, and
you eternally watch over us your flock. You hear our prayers, you move in heaven and on
earth to help and keep your people by your strength.
Brothers and sisters, Jesus
guides us back to Simon the Pharisee, and the Holy Spirit would address his spiritual intellectualism in
his response to Jesus’ parable of the two debtors. Jesus acknowledges that Simon
has answered His question rightly, Luk 7:43. However, Lord Jesus wanted much more than
Simon’s verbal asent. Jesus wanted Simon
to see himself in this parable, with his heart, as the one who loved less, in
hopes that he would repent.
However, dearly
beloveds, Simon did not have an "aha moment", did not humble himself to repent by admitting and accepting
that he is the man in Jesus’ parable who loves little, and that Jesus is directly
comparing and contrasting him unfavorably to Mary.
Although Simon does not
repent, Jesus would give him a wake up call and would not allow him to escape accountability and responsibility,
by distancing himself from the truth. Jesus is done trying to teach Simon in parables
and confronts him directly, straightforwardly showing His displeasure and
holding him accountable and responsible for his unwarranted arrogancy, lack of
humility, impenitance, disrespect and lack of love towards Himself and Mary:
Luk 7:44 And he
turned to the woman, and said unto Simon, Seest
thou this woman? I
entered into thine house, thou gavest
me no water for my feet: but she hath
washed my feet with tears, and wiped them with
the hairs of her head. 45 Thou
gavest me no kiss: but this woman since the
time I came in hath not ceased to
kiss my feet. 46 My head with
oil thou didst not anoint: but this woman hath
anointed my feet with ointment. 47 Wherefore I say unto
thee, Her sins, which are many, are
forgiven; for she loved much: but to
whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little.
48 And he said unto her, Thy sins are
forgiven.
Luk 14:11
For whosoever exalteth himself shall
be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be
exalted.

DINNER WITH JESUS CHRIST
Brothers and sisters I
thank God for you. You are in my heart, thoughts, and prayers, that the reality
of our salvation, Lord Jesus Christ, will
fully manifest Himself in you so that you will always claim your heritage as the
church, the eternal true body of Christ and not any physical building, and embrace
the equality of all believers, there being no such thing as the unbiblical separation
of believers into laity and clerics although we have different offices, with
some having much more responsibility than others, and refuse anyone claiming to
be a biblical expert based on human education alone, Act 17:11.
Finally, holy brethren,
let us remember that the Bible is for all believers to study, teach, live and
share with a lost and dying world: 2Ti 2:15; 2Ti 3:16-17.
Our Lord gives us such a comprehensive understanding
of the gospel, it is to be preached to all men, the good, and the bad, Mat 22:10, to
the masses of all sizes, to children, Mat 21:15; Mar 10:14; yet
not leaving out the importance of personal one on one evangelism. Jesus did not deal with
Simon or Mary under the mosaic Law at all, it offered death to women of sexual
immorality.
Simon the Pharisee,
earlier had judged Mary under the Law, but he stood condemned of it himself, as
God had not authorized any such group to be ministers with the Levitical
priesthood. The Sadducees, Herodians and Pharisees created their sects out of
their own imaginations, and were accepted by the Levite priesthood without
question, who allowed them in the temple and accepted their tithes. This is just one of many examples of the corrupted
and degenerate Levite priesthood, who had stopped caring for the poor and was
robbing them of what little they had, and would conspire with Judas Iscariot
and some of them against Jesus: Jhn 11:57, Jhn 18:3.
Jesus never tithed to the Levite priesthood, nor did Jesus keep
the sabbath although He taught in the temple on the sabbath day, He worked on
the sabbath day healing some people: Jhn 9:16; Mar 2:27; Mat 12:8. Jesus
had not come to end the Law but to fulfil it as the only sinless human being who ever lived and
absolutely never sinned, and lived in perfect obedience to God, establishing
the Law and the prophets, opening the way after His death and resurrection into
a change in the Law and establishing an entirely new priesthood.
Lord Jesus made this
remarkable declaration about Mary: Mar 14:9 Verily I
say unto you, Wheresoever this gospel shall be
preached throughout the whole world, this also that she hath
done shall be spoken of for a memorial of her.
The thing is, holy
people, Mary is rarely mentioned when the gospel is preached. Could some wish
that Jesus had chosen a staunch mother of Israel, or a godly young virgin? Others
avoid mentioning Mary was a sinner, and choose to focus on the act of her
pouring her expensive ointment on Jesus’ feet. Could it be that some see Mary, a woman guilty
of sexual sin, a great sinner as too poor of or the wrong example to present before the world, and think
it prudent not to mention her at all?
Love,
serola
