TURN SUCH AN ONE OVER TO SATAN

Brothers and sisters, Jesus Christ teaches us that He not only saved us but (thanks be to God) gave us the ability to practice  godly self -correction, self -control and self- discipline within and over ourselves. This is a process we learn to do over time, with the help of God and other brothers and sisters and the church overseers. Even though it can be difficult for us at times, nevertheless, we get much stronger and better at it as we study, believe the word of God, and trust Him by putting His commands into practice as a regular part of our lives.

Dearly beloveds, we know that this is also a part of our worshipping Jesus, glorifying Him out of love by our consistent willingness to obey Him, and putting Him first above all things.

The church as a whole is forbidden by our Lord Jesus Christ to allow the good will and forgiveness of the church to be abused by those who are blatantly acting out their own lusts and consistently practicing sin.

 TURN SUCH AN ONE OVER   TO SATAN

Fornication among many other things, was common and accepted in the ancient secular world. There were even various temples devoted to the worship of it.

However, this was never to be accepted in the church at any time.  God absolutely forbids Christians to carry out and practice lusts of any kind. The church of Jesus Christ has received His authority to without apology nor exception, to lovingly disciple and discipline all of its members, including any overseers, who show a pattern of lack of self- control by the willful practice of behavior(s) clearly forbidden by God.

The background to Paul’s command for the church to “turn such a one over to Satan”, comes about when he discovers that the church in question in 1 Cor. 5, not only failed to discipline its members practicing sin, but gave them a stamp of approval as though the practice of  sinning was completely acceptable.

The gospel message regarding our own lusts is clear throughout the whole of scripture: Mat 5:28 - But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.

Rom 1:27 - And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.

1Co 10:6 - Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted.

Gal 5:16 - This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.

1Th 4:5 - Not in the lust of concupiscence, even as the Gentiles which know not God:

Jas 1:14 - But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.

Jas 1:15 - Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.

2Pe 1:4 - Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

2Pe 2:10 - But chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government. Presumptuous are they, selfwilled, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities.

1Jo 2:16 - For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

1Jo 2:17 - And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever

The  Bible throughout absolutely never justifies nor excuses anyone claiming to be a Christian, while blatantly practicing any sin. The Bible has nothing good to say about those who do. Feel free to look further on your own over the abundance of other verses on this topic.

The gospel of Jesus Christ demands, commands, and empowers His church never to mix with the world. Just as a little yeast or leaven in dough eventually spreads and impacts all of the dough causing it to rise or be puffed up, so does even a little bit of the false doctrines and practices that are allowed to enter into the church through false teachers, and even ignorant Christians. We always note that when true Christians are confronted with the truth they turn faithfully to it, but the wicked and unrighteous never will.   

 Christ is continually loving, guiding, upholding, disciplining, teaching, correcting, strengthening, walking with His church as a whole and each Christian individually, rooting them in His eternal truth. All of God’s commands serve as the standard for His people for all time and the whole world as well. These standards set God’s eternal, final and complete boundaries for the whole of the church, and how the whole church shall operate within them on every level individually too without exception to overseers, nor the body general in the world.

God has given the church, His body the command, privilege, opportunity and joy to partner with Him, under His supervision, in loving, disciplining, correcting, teaching, and guiding itself as a whole and individually in the love, truth and obedience to God.

The mega unlimited eternal power of God the Father, God the Son Jesus Christ, and God the Holy spirit holds the church steady and immoveable in a perishing, corrupt and wicked world.

1 Cor 5:4In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when ye are gathered together, and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ, 5To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.

Dearly beloveds, the words of the apostle Paul to turn such an one over to Satan shocked me when I first read this chapter. I thought wow! The apostle Paul is commanding that the church cast out not just this particular sinner, but any such one doing what he was doing in the church over to the devil to be punished and corrected.

For a moment I thought to myself, wait a minute, all the devil does is kill, steal, and destroy, isn’t this like throwing your kid in a cage with a lion to punish him for stealing a cookie? After careful study, brethren, I saw the utter wisdom of God in this and it made my heart rejoice. Notice, holy people, the apostle Paul never once waxed touchy feely, warm and fuzzy concerning dealing with sin in the church and neither should we.

Brothers and sisters, we can always thank God for giving us multitudes of faithful church leaders and members in His body, who stand unwavering, uncompromising, in the whole gospel of Jesus Christ.

We can praise God who allows our dealing with our own lusts His way to challenge, change and lead us to further growth through obedience to Him. We can thank God for those brothers and sisters who deal with any lust God’s way by obedience to Him, who then go on to help others escape the deceitfulness of their own lusts through obedience to the eternal truth of God too.

Dearly beloveds, every time we cave in to our own lusts, which God absolutely forbids, our disobedience displeases Him, weakens us, delays our growth, and certainly self-promotes spiritual and sometimes even physical damage; worst yet it shows we are more willing to serve our lusts, than serving God.

We are certainly permanently forgiven of our sins brethren, but God still allows us to suffer the consequences of them on earth without exception. What this means for example is that if any of us chooses to drink alcohol excessively, notice the word “alcoholic” denoting victimization by one's own lust, should never be applied here, at some point organ damage can occur and in the extremes organ failure is certain.

The world, in these last days, has fully embraced the so- called addictions (really sins), that were once rejected in the world and still is in the true churches. Those so called heretical teachers such as the so-called spiritual pundits, religious gurus, rock star theologians etc.  who have jumped up and embraced the lie of addictions are misleading countless people into a life of sin.

One such church wrote: “Whether you are one of God’s children who is in need of restoration or an addict who is lost without Christ, we are here to help. Our program will help you find and cultivate a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, and you will find a supportive group that practices the love of Christ by “bearing one another’s burdens,” (Gal. 6:2). You’ve tried everything else, now let us show you how the Truth can make you free….FINALLY!!!”

Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.

Holy people God does not condemn us for having faults and everyone can receive help in the body to never remain in them or lead a lifestyle of practicing them which God forbids absolutely.

However, brothers and sisters, the whole truth of the Bible says something few of these so- called addictions groups will ever use, it is SIN. THE Bible forbids the practice of sin and the endless warehousing of those practicing sin in special groups after they have been helped, taught the truth and warned.

1Co 5:11 - But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat.

Paul the apostle continuous on to say what the So-called addictions groups never will:

1 Cor 5: 12For what have I to do to judge them also that are without? do not ye judge them that are within? 13But them that are without God judgeth. THEREFORE PUT AWAY FROM AMONG YOURSELVES THAT WICKED PERSON.

1Co 6:10 - Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.

False teachers have sneakily brought this damnable heresy into the church.

2Pe 2:1 - But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.

NO SO -CALLED ADDICTIONS PROGRAM CAN DELIVER PEOPLE FROM SIN NOR CAN SAVE ANYONE.

Again, and again, holy nation, the Bible teaches all of God’s people that He really has placed us in a world divided along eternal spiritual lines, between the holy persons who have received His Saviour Jesus Christ, and the unrepentant unholy persons of the devil through their rejection of the eternal, sole, sinless Saviour Jesus Christ.

We cannot determine just by looking at a persons outer appearance as to whether they are the children of God, or the children of the devil. Repeatedly, the Bible forbids such. God’s standards are set for all time in this matter, we know that a persons’ true character, is shown by their consistent, manner, lifestyle, and behaviors over time, and clearly delineates to which kingdom each persons belongs.  

We must relentlessly note, saints (G40 hagios), that Jesus is declared by God to be the sole, only, one source of eternal salvation for the whole world. This is a blessing to those who believe and a warning to those who add or take away from this eternal truth. False doctrines always come through unbiblical and satanic doctrines of devils, by the devil himself, and carried out by wicked persons. (No doubt, the righteous will repent of such, the wicked never will).

Has anybody seen bigfoot?   Bigfoot (also known as Sasquatch) is a cryptid which supposedly is a simian-like creature of American folklore that is said to inhabit forests, especially in the Pacific Northwest. Bigfoot is usually described as a large, hairy, bipedal humanoid. The term sasquatch is an Anglicized derivative of the Halkomelem word sásq'ets.

The existence of Bigfoot, is thoroughly discounted, and considered to be a combination of folklore, misidentification, and hoax, rather than a living animal. There is absolutely no physical evidence after centuries of investigation, despite the fact that numerous creatures would have to exist in order to maintain a breeding population.

Brothers and sisters, some of you may say sister, what in the world is this doing here or has to do with anything spiritual?

Dearly beloveds, my point is that there are those who claim to have seen or to be the spiritual bigfoot in the church, aka, the backslider or those helplessly caught in endless bondages to various lusts. This is a demonic doctrine creeping into some churches, and amongst some believers.

There is no such person ever to be found in the New Covenant of Jesus Christ. It is true that such was the case under the law, but through the greater final, finished and complete work of Jesus Christ, no such persons can ever exist in Him. Therefore the so-called "backslider" and those claiming to be sad helpless victims of their own lusts do not, and absolutely cannot exist in Jesus Christ. At best such persons are self deceived; at worst they may not even belong to Jesus Christ. The acceptance of this in any church puts a stamp of approval on sin, tempts others to sin, impugns the gospel, and makes a mockery of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Nevertheless, many claim sightings of them reportedly  seen in addictions groups, recovery groups, people who love too much groups, overcomers groups, etc. and some in the church in general.

These mystical creatures caught in endless bondages to their various lusts, claim to be helpless victims of the devil, and/or their own too tough temptations to overcome. So, they supposedly need support individually and/or in groups, for their too tough temptations in special babysitting groups-geared to their specific lusts. Such false unbiblical help, gives them pacifiers, watered down milk, endless codlings, understanding, kindness, comfort, and compassion to remain unchanged and to continue their endless "slips".

Brothers and sisters these so-called addictions groups etc. that help people to remain unchanged, unaccountable,  unresponsible, and make endless excuses for their own behaviors comes straight out of the secular world through the devil and have absolutely no place in the church of Jesus Christ.  

It is said to be “cruel”, “mean spirited”, “judging”, “condemning”, “way too harsh” to expose these poor, sad, vulnerable helpless and delicate mystical creatures to the Bible’s numerous commands on how all these things must be dealt with.

Of course, there is big profit for their enablers , whomsoever they may be, in selling them books, merchandise, membership dues, and fees, seminars, expensive schools where they too can become “specialist” in the field of various “addictions”. Many of these enablers are themselves still stuck in various lusts. It could be said that misery loves company, although those bowing down in ignorance or willingly to their own cravings and forbidden lusts are not necessarily miserable.

It would be the height of hypocrisy, brethren, to say that Christians do not deal with such issues because they do, and they deal with them God’s way through the word of the Bible. God’s way is the only right way and the only right way is God’s way. God holds us accountable, and commands that every believer maintains control over him or her self, and helps us in this very thing in many ways.

God's way of challenging us, changes us as we choose to willingly obey Him out of love, trust and faith in Him. God gives us further spiritual growth, strength, experience and patience, so that we can go on and help other brothers and sisters out of love and obedience to Him.

This is unlike the so-called poor delicate backslider, who feels “judged”, harshly treated, pouts, whimpers, and resents being challenged to give up those things that God absolutely rejects, and empowers every believer to do the same.

Christians can trust Jesus Christ for powerful help in all of our difficulties, trials, temptations in the world and those which arise out of our own lusts.

Brothers and sisters, it is cruel, and wrong to withhold the Bible’s complete standard and truth on how we are commanded and empowered to deal with our own lusts. I had not planned to go here, but that is where God is leading me, and this is where I must go.

God has not left His church puzzled, mystified nor perplexed about who we are, how we should live and fight in the world. God has laid out everything for His church regarding our identity, His commands that must absolutely be followed practiced and lived, every weapon, and every word by which His church shall glorify Him. We are commanded by God to study His word. (See 2 Ti. 3: 16-17).

Thirdly, brothers and sisters, we come back to where we started, Jesus Christ is continually watching over helping and protecting His church, making known those that belong to Him and exposing those who never belonged to Him.

1 Cor 3: 17If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.

By the power of God, we stand firm in the eternal identity given to us through faith and obedience to Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour. We do not allow the world or anyone or anything to change the name that God has given us: Christians, temple of God, children of God, holy nation, saints (G40 hagios) etc.

Holy: I.most holy thing, a saint. ἅγιος hágios, hag'-ee-os; from ἅγος hágos (an awful thing) (compare G53, G2282); sacred (physically, pure, morally blameless or religious, ceremonially, consecrated):—(most) holy (one, thing), saint.

Brethren, when anyone messes with God’s people He takes it personally.  Heb 10:31 - It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

It goes without saying, dearly beloveds, the Bible correctly interpreted and lived out of love, and obedience to God, holds all of Christendom within the powerful boundaries of His eternal, final, complete, truth and is the sole absolute will and standard of God for His people for all time. Even the whole world will be judged by the everlasting standard, truth and word of the Bible. There  are absolutely no substitutes for the Bible.   

2Ti 3:16 - All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:17 - That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

Secondly, brethren, besides the temptations arising from the world and the devil. God uses the temptations in our lives- that arise out of our own lusts of wanting that which is forbidden. Let us be clear that absolutely no temptation of any kind comes from God. The point here, saints (G40 hagios) is that every Christian is commanded and empowered by God to take personal responsibility to bring every aspect of their thinking, believing, and conduct in line with the word of God. Allowing ourselves to yield to our own inner temptations have dire consequences: Jas 1:13Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man: 14But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. 15Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.

We must never think that any temptation of our own is so extraordinary that we will not be able to overcome it:  1Co 10:13 - There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

What this means is that regardless of the source of the temptation whether from the world or our own inner forbidden lusts, God has empowered every believer to overcome them.

Brothers and sisters there has been written some well- meaning, but erroneous dribble about how we as Christians can overcome temptations usually in a psycho-babble/intellectual kind of way, where the Christian is presented as some powerless powder puff, being beaten up and defeated by his or her own particular problems with various lusts. However, our answer is made concisely and clear from the word of God the Bible:

Rom 6:12 - Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.

What this means, in the above and subsequent Bible verses,brethren, is that nobody is by any means forcing any of us Christians to indulge in our own particular lust(s), we are allowing it, doing it to ourselves.  The clear, eternal absolute truth is that we have God's power to put a stop to any sin, and do not have to practice any of it.

Rom 13:14 - But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.

Rom 8:13 - For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live. Col 3:5 - Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry:

Gal 5:24 - And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.

Eph 2:3 - Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.

Eph 4:22 - That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;

1Pe 1:14 - As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance:

1Pe 2:11 - Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;

(Feel free, brethren, to look up on your own the many other verses on this subject).

We are commanded to absolutely believe all that God has said; brothers and sisters. Then by His power we will gladly, out of love for Him, destroy and overcome any temptation, regardless of the cost to us in discomfort, difficulty or inconvenience. We show our love for God by consistently trusting His absolute truth, obeying Him and putting away any and all forms of those things that contradict His will and commands.

Dearly beloved, we will be dealing with these things many times in our lives, and have the victory every time we put pleasing Jesus Christ above serving our own lusts that He forbids.

In summation, holy people, we can say whatever lust we started to allow to come into to our lives, God has empowered and commanded us to stop it every time, and therefore escape bondage to any of it, by the will of God.

All of this and more is going on amidst the ever-increasing world- wide savagery and chaos of the devil and His children; while we are caring for ourselves, families, others, going to school, working in various employments and even in our leisure times. Nevertheless, holy people, we live completely prepared with the full knowledge and understanding of the times (last days) through the word of God the Bible, correctly interpreted and lived privately and publicly.

The church of Jesus Christ is by absolutely no means left on its own, flying by the seat of its pants in the world. Jesus Christ is continually watching over His church: Mat 3:12 - Whose fan is in his hand, and he will throughly purge his floor, and gather his wheat into the garner; but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire. 

Purge: to cleanse perfectly, i.e. (specially) winnow: —thoroughly purge.

Firstly, Lord Jesus continually prepares and allows our faith to be tested and tried by various temptations, trials, and persecutions in our lives from the world, which He uses to strengthen us, build us up, root us in His truth and love, making us steadfast in our faith. Brothers and sisters persecution from the world is an inescapable truth of life for Christians, but never a cause for fear.

Dearly beloveds, we have the testimony of Paul the apostle: 2 Ti 3:10But thou hast fully known my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, charity, patience, 11Persecutions, afflictions, which came unto me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured: but out of them all the Lord delivered me. 12Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.

Our dear brother and apostle Paul kept right on doing good and serving God, even in terrible persecution. Brothers and sisters be sure that God will deliver all who do the same, just as He delivered Paul.

The Christian mind set and understanding of our trials:

2 Pe 4:12Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: 13 But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy. 14If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified. 15But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men's matters. 16Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf. 17For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God? 18And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear? 19Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator.

On the other hand, those who falsely claim to be Christians will quickly grumble, complain, and reject Jesus under persecution because:

Mar 4:17 - And have no root in themselves, and so endure but for a time: afterward, when affliction or persecution ariseth for the word's sake, immediately they are offended.

Mt 26:51And, behold, one of them which were with Jesus stretched out his hand, and drew his sword, and struck a servant of the high priest's, and smote off his ear. 52Then said Jesus unto him, Put up again thy sword into his place: for all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword.

Brothers and sisters, God makes it abundantly clear, that His rules of engagement in the holy war that He has proclaimed has nothing to do with and by no means is one of an armed military conflict where we are ordered to search out and physically destroy evil people from the face of the earth.

Let us keep in mind saints (G40 hagios):

It is true under the law, that God ordered Israel to wipe out certain populations for His purposes pertaining solely to Israel. However, under the New Covenant of the gospel of Jesus Christ, God's battle is for the hearts and souls of men to save them not destroy them. God Himself, at the time He has appointed, will thoroughly punish and settle with the devil and the devil's children once and for all time even as He has promised-it shall be done. Amen.

But if I don't have love, I am a loud gong or a clashing cymbal. 2I may have the gift to speak what God has revealed, and I may understand all mysteries and have all knowledge. I may even have enough faith to move mountains. But if I don't have love, I am nothing. 3I may even give away all that I have and give up my body to be burned. But if I don't have love, none of these things will help me.4Love is patient. Love is kind. Love isn't jealous. It doesn't sing its own praises. It isn't arrogant. 5It isn't rude. It doesn't think about itself. It isn't irritable. It doesn't keep track of wrongs. 6It isn't happy when injustice is done, but it is happy with the truth. 7Love never stops being patient, never stops believing, never stops hoping, never gives up. 8Love never comes to an end. God empowers every believer with the Spirit of truth the Holy Spirit who indwells us forever, so that the false lying abominations that the world loves and attempts to infiltrate the gospel with, will absolutely never be accepted, believed nor received in the eternal body of Jesus Christ our Saviour and Lord. We know that even in the midst of our battles, the outcome of victory in Jesus is final, finished, complete, written in His precious sinless blood.

The two things that the devil and his children hope to destroy in the earth is God’s love and truth in His people, through persecution, deceit, false and heretical doctrines. All of the devil’s tricks, schemes, pits, snares, conspiracies, plots and machinations in collusion with evil people to defeat God and His people are in vain.

Brothers and sisters, we are on earth but we fight with all the power given to us from our God in heaven.

Dearly beloveds, no war on earth has ever been waged like the war God and His people are waging on earth at this time. It somehow may boggle the minds of some, and to others may seem like a shocking contradiction to speak of a war without physical lethal weapons, to dispatch the enemy as quickly and completely as possible.

However, it would be error to think that God’s people can never employ the powers that God has established on earth to fight evil. It would also be error to think that God’s people have no right to defend themselves, others and even the nations in which they live from evil persons, because in every case they do. Every soldier of Christ has to study Christian warfare and fully understand God’s rules of engagement, in His war.

Jhn 18:36 - Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence.

THE FAITH OF GOD

Gen 1: 1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

FAITH IS BEING ABSOLUTELY SURE OF GOD’S ETERNAL TRUTH AND LOVE

Heb 11:1Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. 2For by it the elders obtained a good report. 3Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.

Brothers and sisters, in the secular world, men are digging into the ground, sending rockets up to planets to get samples of them. They are making a lot of wild theories about how they came to be. But as for the household of God, let us dwell on the faith of God. By faith we absolutely know that  God spoke the worlds into being. When God spoke, He had no doubt that what He spoke would come into existence. God is faithful, God is truth and God is love.

Through faith in Jesus Christ, we do not faint, and are filled with the eternal faith and hope of God, the substance and evidence of the world to come, although we do not yet see it. Nevertheless,

 the Day is coming. No one knows when, but God Himself. Let us be ready all the time doing His will and work until He comes.

All over the world God’s people are hated, persecuted, and yes some even maimed and killed because they belong to God. Evil people-children of the devil in the secular world would love to erase the name of God from the face of the earth, but since they can’t get God they go after His people, in vain.

This is because God is absolutely unbeatable, unconquerable, and all powerful. God will never be defeated, God always wins. As for His people, brothers and sisters:

Ro 8: 37Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. 38For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, 39Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Say it with me brothers and sisters: Lord Jesus I have absolute faith in you. I am fully persuaded, totally confident, absolutely set, unmovable, and unshakeable through your eternal, absolute might power and love. You are the only true God, and through you I will not only survive but thrive, and in the end by your power I will worship you in your kingdom to come, at your very throne forever.

 Brothers and sisters, in the midst of a dead and dying world, we have to keep our minds on Jesus. Our thoughts are not the basis of truth. Our emotions are not the basis of truth. Our personal opinions are not the basis of truth. Our circumstances, conditions, and situations are not the basis of truth. The secular world’s doctrines of what and who is good or not is not the basis of truth.

The Lord Jesus Christ our Saviour has left us all of God’s commandments that set the everlasting standard of unchanging truth for all eternity. By it we can surely measure our conduct, behavior, and manner of life in every aspect. What this means holy people, is that we resist the temptation to try and conform God’s word to any humanistic way of thinking, living and behaving.

 In complete faith we bring everything to be measured by God’s eternal standard of truth and righteousness. Obviously if anything does not pass this test it absolutely is never to be accepted, for God will absolutely never accept it. In these things we show forth that we indeed have the mind of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

We must keep on saying the truth over and over and over again, and never cease saying it: The Bible, CORRECTLY INTERPRETED, sets the absolute, final, eternal, complete, explicit standard for God’s eternal truth for all time, without exceptions of any kind.

Correctly interpreted means the pure gospel of the Bible, not filtered and adulterated through apostate denominations, organizations, institutions, personal opinions, or worldly understandings, which is no gospel at all.

It goes without saying everything is covered in the Bible regarding our relationship to God and to one another, this includes every overseer in the body of Christ too.

Dearly beloveds, God does not put labels on people to identify them as belonging to Him or to the devil. God gave us something so much better than that: Mt 7: Pulpit Commentary: Verse 20. - (Ver. 16, note.) Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. Wherefore (ἄραγε). Ver. 16a is restated, but now in "rigorous logical inference" (Winer, § 53:8. a) from vers. 16b - 18. Since it is a certainty that fruit is the result of inner nature, you shall from these men's fruits fully learn their true character.

The Bible gives the complete nature, details, characteristics of unrepentant evil people. They are in the lives of Christians in some way or another. Yes, some of them are even in our homes. We are commanded to deal with them God’s way never our own. Somehow, some might think it is not nice to say bad things about people. I can agree with this, if it is a lie or made up gossip. However, God wants His people to know the truth, that there really are indeed evil people that we absolutely must be on guard about.

Believe God,  He never lies. Here are some of the chilling details about the malignant nature of evil people and what they do:

Ro 1:28And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; 29Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, 30Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, 31Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: 32Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

2Pe 2:12 - But these, as natural brute beasts, made to be taken and destroyed, speak evil of the things that they understand not; and shall utterly perish in their own corruption;

Jde 1:10 - But these speak evil of those things which they know not: but what they know naturally, as brute beasts, in those things they corrupt themselves.

Rev 22:15 - For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.

As holy people of God we know that the devil and his children have a limited time, and shall be totally destroyed by God according to His timing. Therefore, we faithfully and tirelessly trust in our great God, watching, praying, doing His work and will out of love for Him, and by His eternal power.

Brothers and sisters, you, me all of us believers are in this world, but because of Lord Jesus Christ, we are not of it: Jhn 15:19 - If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.

Jhn 17:16 - They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.

Dearly beloveds, we do and will have believing family as well as unbelieving family members, bosses, employees, neighbors,  some leaders of our secular government, and some in the secular world in general who are in and of the enemy camp of the devil.

The secular world hates God and they hate His people. Out of the secular world arises persecutions, oppressions, slanders, murders, injuries to the people of God everywhere.  The devil the father of the unrepentant sinners, inspires his wicked children to devise all manner of wicked schemes, tricks, snares, conspiracies, and plans to harm the people of God, individually and as a whole.

Out of the unrepentant wicked arises cults, false religions, false churches, false prophets and false teachers to turn people away from God to the devil.

The unrepentant wicked, are neither forced by the devil, nor victims of the devil. They take great pleasure and are fully willing and in knowledge, cooperate, collude, with the devil to do his work and will, which is to kill, steal and destroy everywhere and in every way that they can throughout the earth.

The fact that the children of the devil can vary wildly in color, culture, nationality, wealth, education, and family background makes it time past when the secular world can get a “profile” or find a general type of person with motivation for the enormous destruction that the children of the devil do throughout the earth.

The secular world’s criminal justice systems will have a more and more difficult time to identify perpetrators before- hand and will be forced to turn to the general populace in hopes of catching and/or stopping the children of the devil from doing harm to others. The time is coming that the outbreak of evil will be so great in the earth that: Mat 24:12 - And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.

Wax cold meaning: I.to breathe, blow, cool by blowing. II.to be made or grow cool or cold. III.metaph. of waning love.

Christians have no need to fear, because God will use even this for His glory and our good, to grow us, strengthen us, and keep us fully steadfast walking in the light of His eternal love, power and truth. Vengeance belongs to God, in His fiery indignation He will repay the wicked with eternal destruction. Let us keep this in mind in the midst of the provocation and vexation of the unrepentant wicked. Our Lord and Saviour encourages us His people everywhere:

Jhn 16:33 - These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

OVERCOME: I.to conquer. A.to carry off the victory, come off victorious. i.of Christ, victorious over all His foes. ii.of Christians, that hold fast their faith even unto death against the power of their foes, and temptations and persecutions. iii.when one is arraigned or goes to law, to win the case, maintain one's cause.

1Co 15:57 - But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

1Jo 5:4 - For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.

Brothers and sisters, neither you nor I can fight this battle in mere human strength, we will lose if we try. We must completely abandon this way of thinking and acting because it is impossible to overcome by mere human strength: Eph 6:10 - Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

Brothers and sisters, when we take God at His word, which we absolutely must; we are no longer confounded, perplexed, mystified, baffled,  or walking around open mouthed and surprised at the destruction, chaos, and evil deeds the children of the devil are willfully doing in the world, of various kinds, more or less.

Dearly beloveds, God has painted for us an eternally clear standard about the evil things that the children of the devil persistently, willingly, and unrepentantly do:  Rom 1:28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

No doubt brethren this is what they are like when they show up professing to be Christians: Tit 1:16 - They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.

Pro 21:10 The soul of the wicked desireth evil: his neighbour findeth no favour in his eyes.

 Isa 57:20 But the wicked are like the troubled sea, when it cannot rest, whose waters cast up mire and dirt.

Christians do not have to wonder about what motivates evil people to do evil. Evil people do evil because they are evil, love to do evil for its own sake. However, the secular world will spin itself into a tizzy trying to figure out or understand the motives behind the horrendous, and murderous and varying levels of evil acts that the children of the devil do.

 The pundits of the mind sciences; media gurus, rock stars of religious psychobabble, and the secular world in general will ascribe such acts to the person(s) being a psychopath, sociopath, broken and hurting, sick, or what have you. When they dare to say the person was just plain evil, they quickly shy away from this, because they know those Christian people will say the person is a child of the devil, and an unrepentant sinner.

The world wants nothing to do with terms like this, holy people, because underneath it they are reminded that this eternal definition comes from God. The secular world wants nothing to do with acknowledging God in any way as the Supreme Authority who defines good and evil for all times and demands accountability for it all.

The secular world will play it safe and finally say that no one can ever know why people do such horrible things. This is especially true if the offenders come from a “nice” home, had a “nice” income”, and a “nice” education.

Brothers and sisters, before we were saved we used to do many of the same things as others who know not God. But now we have repented and are ashamed of those wicked things we used to do. Don’t let anybody tell you that it is still okay to willfully live the sinful life you used to live before you were saved. This is a lie from the devil.

 Now God declares absolutely to all believers: 1 Pe 4:1Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin; 2That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God. 3For the time past of our life may suffice us to have wrought the will of the Gentiles, when we walked in lasciviousness, lusts, excess of wine, revellings, banquetings, and abominable idolatries:

Brothers and sisters, Lord Jesus in His own words explains the parable of the wheat and the tares:  Mt. 13:36Then Jesus sent the multitude away, and went into the house: and his disciples came unto him, saying, Declare unto us the parable of the tares of the field. 37He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man; 38 The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one; 39The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels. 40As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world. 41The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; 42And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth. 43Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.

Jesus is not talking about the church, but of the world. Some misinterpret this and in error try to apply it to the church of Jesus Christ. In the church, that is the body of believers, God has set the complete explicit, absolute, final and eternal standard for our conduct in every area, to discipline ourselves and all members in His body.

Most certainly tares are in the physical church, but never in the true spiritual body of Christ. No one who remains heretic after the second admonition is ever to be allowed back in the church. No one who calls him or herself a Christian, who rejects church discipline is to be allowed to remain in the church, but in this case, if they repent they can be received back in fellowship. No one is above church discipline.

That being said, dearly beloveds, Jesus Christ forbids Christians to go into the world to purge out the tares, or children of the devil by force of arms, because they will harm those who are actually saved by accident. This task is to be left to the Lord alone who always knows them that are His and those who are not.

We will never Christianize, those who absolutely and unrepentantly reject the gospel of Jesus Christ in the world. In the world the children of God and the children of the devil are growing side by side. This does not mean Christians are passive in the world in fighting against its various evils such as abortion, sex trafficking of children and others etc.

We must be very careful, brethren, to take our view of the world exactly as God explicitly tells us what it really is.

What is the Christian to do in the world? Christians can do all the good that they desire to do, whatever is within their power and ability. This includes sharing the gospel message, just as it was shared with us who heard it, believed it and were delivered from the power of the devil and darkness, and made children of God.

Jesus is never confused as to who belongs to Him and who doesn’t. He has set the eternal standard for His people to know quite well what is good and what is evil and the two are never mixed, but entirely separated by Him for all time.
