Beloveds, we must clear up the lie that when the Lord told Joshua he would have good success through obeying the Law, that this was meant for Christians today. The Lord told this to Joshua that in obeying the Old Covenant of the Law God would give him success in conquering certain lands and taking these lands for the nation of Israel: Joshua 1: 5 There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee. 6 Be strong and of a good courage: for unto this people shalt thou divide for an inheritance the land, which I sware unto their fathers to give them.

Also in keeping the Old Covenant of the Law, (which is all they had from God), he would not face the wrath of God and die as Aaron and Moses did for their disobedience to God in not keeping the Old Covenant of the Law: Num. 27: 12 And the LORD said unto Moses, Get thee up into this mount Abarim, and see the land which I have given unto the children of Israel. 13 And when thou hast seen it, thou also shalt be gathered unto thy people, as Aaron thy brother was gathered. 14 For ye rebelled against my commandment in the desert of Zin, in the strife of the congregation, to sanctify me at the water before their eyes: that is the water of Meribah in Kadesh in the wilderness of Zin.

Moses never preached that the Old Covenant of the Law would make anyone permanently righteous in the sight of God. Here is the truth, preached by our Saviour Jesus Christ: Jhn 5:46 For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me: for he wrote of me.

Luk 24:44 And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.

Gal 2:21 I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, THEN CHRIST IS DEAD IN VAIN.

See Galatians 3, which explains God’s purposes for the Law; and how Jesus Christ has delivered us from it for all time. Feel free to study on your own the numerous verses that fully declare that Jesus Christ is the eternal Saviour and final sole source of eternal salvation for all time for all who believe in Him. See John 14:6.

Anyone willfully claiming salvation based on keeping the Old Covenant of the Law and/ or combining it with the New Covenant of Jesus Christ, or anything else is not considered a Christian according to the Bible.

Gal 2:21 I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, THEN CHRIST IS DEAD IN VAIN.

Gal 3:10 For as many as are of the works of the law are under the CURSE: for it is written, CURSED is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them. 11 But that NO MAN is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith.

          1Ti. 1:5 Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned:6 From which some having swerved have turned aside unto vain jangling;
7 Desiring to be teachers of the law; understanding neither what they say, nor whereof they affirm.

1Ti 1:9 Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers, 10 For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine; 11 According to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which was committed to my trust.

John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

    STUDIES IN HEBREWS

    CHAPTER EIGHT

JESUS IS EQUAL WITH GOD, HE LOWERED HIMSELF FOR THE SUFFERING OF DEATH TO PAY FOR THE SINS OF ALL WHO BELIEVE IN HIM:  Phl 2:6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:

Heb 2:9 But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.

1Pe 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: 9 Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world. 10 But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.

Do not be afraid of men nor devil: Luk 12:5 But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him.

2Ti 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. We reverence God with a holy fear not that he would destroy us, but that in all His great power

He is also great in mercy to all who believe in Him.

Say it with me brethren, Lord Jesus, we reverence you with a holy fear, you are our Eternal Saviour, Sovereign Lord, Omnipotent potentate; to you be the Dominion, Honor, Glory, Worship and Praise, for you have washed us in your sinless blood having all power and authority, unbeatable, unconquerable, undefeatable and there be not the hand that can pluck us from you.

Holy people, stand in the strength of the Lord against the adversaries of God for:

1Jo 4:4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.

Brothers and sisters, praise God the Father for His mercy who sent His Son Lord Jesus Christ who paid an extremely high price for our sins out of love for all who believe and obey Him. Had Jesus not chosen to go to the cross, we had all been destroyed even as Sodom and Gomorrha: Rom 9:29. In light of this it is GROSS ERROR/IGNORANCE to see the death of Lord Jesus Christ as an exchange, substitution or taking our place on the cross.  The false teaching of Christ's death as substitutionary came from the false teacher and defrocked catholic monk Martin Luther who hated Jews and preached that every Jew who rejected the gospel should be killed.

God's word fully informs us fully that only the sinless Man/God Jesus  Christ was the sole sacrifice acceptable to God. Jesus willingly went to the cross to PAY for

the redemption of all who believe and obey Him.

Again, holy people, Jesus has free will the same God gave to all mankind, had Jesus chose not to go to the cross God would have accepted that and visited His wrath on a sinful world as He did on Sodom and Gomorrha, for without Jesus Christ none other could save mankind from the wrath of God and His hatred of sin.

Dearly beloved it sickens me whenever I hear the lies that God needed us because we are so precious and special, minimizing His mercy thereby. The plain truth is that God the Father needs nothing and nobody,  but in His great mercy sent God His only Son Jesus Christ into the trash bin that men have made of earth to save scumbags all, who didn't love Him, and were His enemies, when He could have easily just wiped us all out and started anew.

See, mere man in his pride always looks for ways to make salvation as some how derived from something being about the goodness or worthiness of man. It just isn't so, God found none worthy ALL men sinned ALL men and women too fell short of the glory of God.

Let us, dearly beloveds, keep in remembrance the love, mercy, and goodness of our Lord and Saviour Jesus who paid in full for the sins of the world although we were His worthless enemies totally unworthy of Him and dead in our sins. Again and again Christ PAID IN FULL FOR OUR SINS, NO MERE EXCHANGE/SUBSTITUTION.

All believers, brethren, we know experience growth, all grow, however not all grow at the same rate. Christians should not be surprised that tares planted by the devil will arise among the wheat to thwart their growth. There is no need to look for the tares they will most certainly come and all their evil attempts to stop the growth of God’s people will always be in vain. God shall punish His adversaries with their father the devil in everlasting torment in the lake of fire: Rev 20:10; Psa 21:8Mat 3:10; Mat 15:13-14.

1Jo 5:18 We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not.

Many comprehend, apprehend, the above verse. However, there are some who accept that Jesus sacrificed Himself and died bodily on the cross, but THEY STUMBLE AT HIS SHED SINLESS BLOOD, and turn back to the Law of Moses, or worse yet misinterpret 1 John 1:9 to disregard the Atoning body AND BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST.

Praise and thanks to you Lord Jesus God of All Power, the manna and true spiritual bread of heaven sent down from heaven from God the Father Almighty. All who eat of this bread shall grow in grace.

Standing on the eternal truth of Salvation:

UN-earnable: When some people die, others may say that they know the person "earned" their wings, because they were a good person, or did a lot of good deeds. I've rarely heard people say that they know the person who died believed in Jesus so they have assurance that the person is in heaven.

The Bible tells the eternal truth, no good deeds or works of mere men or women can earn anyone a place in heaven. We can't earn salvation, because we came from a long line of preachers, grew up in a Christian home, attended a church, celebrated Christmas, but never believed in Jesus Christ.

UN-buyable: All the gold, silver, and so called precious treasures of the universe are mere worthless baubles and trinkets in the sight of God the Father: We know that if God needed anything He would not have to ask anyone seeing all the gold, silver, and treasures of the universe He created and it belongs to Him.

UN-Repayable, God owns every soul and everything in the universe, so clearly we have nothing of our own to repay Him with. Again  dearly beloveds, we know that salvation is the free gift  of God.

Christmas is a time of giving presents one to another. Imagine how insulted one would feel towards any who kept coming to our doors stubbornly insisting on paying us back for the gifts we gave them, although given many assurances that no repayment for our gifts nor any gift is ever required. Jesus frankly tells us in His word His gift of salvation to all who believe ia absolutely free. There will be permanent eternal punishment as a consequence for those who unrepentantly falsely teach that people have to pay for the free gift of salvation.

This right here: UN-DOABLE. ONCE DONE NONE CAN UNDO IT. Those who fully comprehend, apprehend the complete atoning work of the sinless sacrifice of Christ's body AND BLOOD know that there is neither hand of man nor devil that can ever pluck us from God in any way or manner whatsoever.

Jhn 10:28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.

The air is electric, many slow growers are and will be catapulted into maturity as they lay hold on God’s word and obey it. Many already mature are and will be confirmed in the truth and refined in their understanding of the knowledge of God and increase in their ability to share it with those in different stages of growth to aid them in moving forward to maturity, for this is the will and the power of God that His people should know Him and understand Him.

We are never in competition in declaring God's word, but in cooperation. Where the Bible speaks we are commanded to speak the same things that the Bible speaks, regardless of those who do not wish for us to speak it. Holy people this present world likes a "nice" God with a false, soft, weak, permissive Jesus who understands we are just poor sinners who need pity and acceptance because we can't do any better.

However we know the true God the Father is holy, uncompromising in His hatred of all sin. We know that God the Son Jesus Christ, is not weak, but forever resurrected in power who sets all free from the bondage of sin.

Brothers and sisters, we know Jesus gives us power and authority to overcome those sinful thoughts, behaviors and patterns of sins we have over time, with the help of the body general, a renewed conscience, and the ever indwelling of the Holy Spirit, with God the Son Jesus Christ and God the Father.

We are responsible and accountable to Him, seeing He has given us everything we need to do so.

By responsible and accountable, holy people, means for what we do with our time talents and treasure that God gives to us. Brothers and sisters we are not addressing our eternal salvation or inheritance nobody works for these they are given freely by our precious King and Lord Jesus Christ. However we will gain or lose rewards for how well or how poorly we handled the time, talents and treasure God gives to us as well as the ability to carry them out as we choose out of love for Him. Some of us will get rewards and some will get a spanking, but we all will keep our great salvation and wonderful inheritance from God.

Jesus frankly tells His holy family: John 14:15 If ye love me keep my commandments. Jesus also left us the supreme example of obedience in His obedience to His Father God, by choice out of love. Jesus is not making a polite request of us as though we have options/excuses. or can freely disregard His commandments as a way of life.

Those who whine, disobey and distrust Him unrepentantly never loved Him in the first place. However all who truly love Jesus trust in Him knowing He never asks anything of us that He has not empowered us to do: 1 John 5:3.

Holy people, find laid out chapter eight of Hebrews to go over as the Lord leads you, ministers to you, and instructs you personally in His word. After this we will go on to the study of it. I love you brothers and sisters, you are in my thoughts and prayers early and often, pray for me, dearly beloveds.

    A Better Ministry

    Heb 8:1 Now of the things which we have spoken this is the sum: We have such an high priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens;

The above is a profound declaration. It sums up everything about Jesus Christ. He is seated by God the Father on an equal throne. God our Father has tested, tried and proven that His only biological Son in whose veins the blood of God the Father's flowed, not of Mary's, showing God's Son Jesus christ is equal with God the Father, to receive the same worship with the Father, whose commands are to be obeyed the same as God the Father, and whom the Father has established as the the sole saviour and High Priest alone through whom all who believe can come to God the Father. Do not look to denominations, organizations, institutions, ideas, philosophies, concepts of mere men all who pervert the gospel to align with their blasphemy all you will find there is bondage to men, never salvation.

Martin Luther the defrocked monk, hater of Jews who preached they should be murdered is no reformer of Christianity. Jesus Christ is the only and true reformer who has brought in the eternal reformation.

Heb 8:2 A minister of the sanctuary, and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, and not man.

Brothers and sisters, we know the only way Lord Jesus could enter into the true sanctuary was that He had, no God the Father commanded that Jesus had to come with blood, fresh blood not corrupted by decay. We know when Jesus died He never decayed in any manner whatsoever: Acts 13: 37. Neither did the sinless blood of Jesus see corruption, but forever retains its blessed eternal power to wash all who believe in Lord Jesus Christ from all their sins, past, present, future. Warning to those who deny the importance of the shed blood of Christ WITHOUT THE SHEDDING OF BLOOD THERE IS NO FORGIVENESS OF ANY SINS FOREVER.

The resurrected Christ upbraided His disciples for not believing in Him: but thanks be to God He opened up their understanding that they might understand the scriptures: Luk 24:45

Brethren I'm afraid that among the multitudes of believers there are some who don't believe ALL that the scriptures has eternally declared of God the Son Jesus Christ, not because of ignorance although there are some, but through hardness of heart and unbelief, even in the face of having all the scriptures now available today.

It is the highest form of blasphemy to say the blood of Jesus rotted away and is of no value as John McAuther teaches, among other such blasphemers. Yes I have confronted him, love him, and am among many others who have confronted him and are praying that he and all others  like Him would repent of this great evil.

Heb 8:3 For every high priest is ordained to offer gifts and sacrifices: wherefore it is of necessity that this man have somewhat also to offer.

Heb 8:4 For if he were on earth, he should not be a priest, seeing that there are priests that offer gifts according to the law:

Heb 8:5 Who serve unto the example and shadow of heavenly things, as Moses was admonished of God when he was about to make the tabernacle: for, See, saith he, that thou make all things according to the pattern shewed to thee in the mount.

Heb 8:6 But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises.

    A New Covenant

    (Jer 31:31–34 )

Heb 8:7 For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second.

Heb 8:8 For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah:

Heb 8:9 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord.

Heb 8:10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:

Heb 8:11And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest.

Heb 8:12 For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.

Heb 8:13 In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away.

    Love and truth, serola

    STUDIES IN HEBREWS

    CHAPTER SEVEN

Brothers and sisters, thanks for joining me once again in this study of the book of Hebrews. I love you and appreciate your patience. Let us bless God our Father, and God our Saviour, the Son of God Jesus Christ, and God our Holy Spirit, who will lead us, His eternal family, into this study, and will grant us a joyous and full feast in the word to understand all that God wills for us to know and to do in living and pleasing Him.

Earlier, I had posted intentionally a blank page. Brethren, do you recall how you felt when you were expectant of finding something, and instead found nothing? Were you surprised, disappointed, puzzled, anxious, displeased or downright angry?

Most people, brethren, would not be pleased to expect something and find nothing. God has created us to have emotions or feelings, because He has them too. God’s emotions are always under His control, and He commands ours to be also.

Here and in other scriptures, we find Jesus extremely disappointed with an unfruitful fig tree and cursing it: Mat 21:18: Now in the morning as he returned into the city, he hungered. 19 And when he saw a fig tree in the way, he came to it, and found nothing thereon, but leaves only, and said unto it, Let no fruit grow on thee henceforward for ever. And presently the fig tree withered away.

This is seemingly a surprising and puzzling thing in how the Lord dealt with the unproductive tree, yet it is not. The fig tree was unexpectedly along the way-out of place, and although untended/uncared for, exposed to unsupportive elements, somehow was able to grow showing a high level of unusual vigor. Secondly, it was out of season. Thirdly, it was fully loaded with leaves without a single piece of fruit whatsoever.

The fig tree was all show. It only had the appearance of a good fig tree, but the fact that it had no fruit caused Lord Jesus to discern its true nature, that of a tree that had a degenerated DNA and would never produce fruit, therefore, worthy of being cursed forever that it might not propagate other degenerate trees after itself. A fig tree can grow from cuttings or its roots it is not dependent only on its seeds from which to grow.

This was not a parable, but reflective of the truth that Jesus is never pleased when those claiming to be fully grown Christians look or appear righteous but bear no fruit. Barreness is not the sign of a true mature Christian, there should be some growth even though it might be small, evidencing that they have been fed with the word of truth, believed it and brought forth (good) fruit in practicing/living it- the proof of it.

Lord Jesus demonstrated His power and authority by cursing the fig tree. Here we see the spiritual affecting the physical in a mighty way. His disciples are amazed at how quickly the tree withered away: Mat 21:20.

Jesus teaches His disciples that although the power/efficacy of prayer is spiritual, it can and does manifest, affect/impact the physical world:

Mat 21:21 Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done. 22 And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.

1Jo 5:14 And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:

When we believe without doubt, know and understand God’s word and pray in accordance with His will, holy people, we can expect God to answer in the affirmative.

Many of us understand the power of prayer, but for those who might not know or who might not see the value of prayer, let this be a wake up call from the Lord.

Just like the out of the way fig tree, wicked persons will arise to openly blaspheme Jesus Christ. It is guaranteed that when the righteous begin to grow that the wicked will spring up among them to attempt to thwart their growth: Mt. 13: 25-28.

We know the Bible teaches that Jesus is equal with God: Jhn 5:18 Therefore the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only had broken the sabbath, but said also that God was his Father, making himself equal with God.

Phl 2:6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:

After Jesus’ atoning work of salvation, God gave Jesus all power and authority not only because He alone was proven worthy of it but being God’s equal, He alone could be trusted with it.

The niv apostate bible perverts the scriptures to lie that Jesus is not equal with God and is frequently used by false teachers to blaspheme Jesus and God Himself. Wicked people choose to be wicked and have no excuse:

AMP Apostasy 1 Ti 4: 1But the [Holy] Spirit explicitly and unmistakably declares that in later times some will turn away from the faith, paying attention instead to deceitful and seductive spirits and doctrines of demons, 2[misled] by the hypocrisy of liars whose consciences are seared as with a branding iron [leaving them incapable of ethical functioning],

Anyone who wickedly denies the truth of the gospel is also blaspheming the Holy Spirit and there is no forgiveness in this world or the next for them:

Mat 12:32 And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.

In a parable on the fig tree, dearly beloveds, we find Jesus' teaching on the mercy, justice and patience of God dealing tenderly for a good while in carefully seeking to help a non- fruit producing fig tree to finally grow or be cut down if all the extra efforts/care/time fail to help it produce: Luk 13:6-9.

Most certainly, Christians too must be extra careful in dealing with those who do not appear to be growing at all. However, there comes a time when despite the best of efforts, they still produce nothing, it then becomes clear that any further efforts are a waste of time. Therefore, it is necessary to move on to help those who believe and are willing to receive instruction and care who will go on to grow in understanding and living the word of God.

However, in the case of anyone actively, impenitently openly blaspheming God He commands that such be removed from among the church period for it is obvious that they belong to the devil not to God. Do not think it is an accident, holy people, that a blasphemer and opposer of all that is holy has arisen during this specific study, hoping to interfere/suppress the opening up of the scriptures to those who may not know it and which will confirm the many that do know it. Nevertheless, God is unconquerable, His will is inexorable, there be no creature, no wicked persons, no devil who can defeat His plan and will of salvation.

We end this chapter with the final two verses:

Heb 7:27 Who needeth not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people's: for this he did once, when he offered up himself. 28 For the law maketh men high priests which have infirmity; but the word of the oath, which was since the law, maketh the Son, who is consecrated for evermore.

This here, no more need forever for daily sacrifices to attain the forgiveness of sins. Why?Jesus Christ has obtained ETERNAL SALVATION for all who believe forever.

Some might say no we still have to confess our sins to stay forgiven:1 Jhn 1:9If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from ALL unrighteousness. This verse is referencing the first one-time confession Christians made of belief and faith in Christ wherein He saved them: Rom 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

The Bible itself defends with absolute explicit/exhaustive authority that our forgiveness through faith in Jesus Christ is final, finished, complete; fully established in the New Covenant: Heb 8:12For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.

The scriptures cannot be broken and never teaches that anyone saved is to continue to practice sin:  1Jo 3:8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

1Jo:6Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.

1Jo 5:18 We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not.

Therefore, again those who claim “we still sin or are still sinners” so we have to ask God for forgiveness each time we sin are in error and not yet entered into the New Covenant of Jesus Christ. The only way for anyone to receive salvation is to choose to believe all that the Bible has declared of Jesus Christ or go to hell literally according to the word of God.

We are also to confess our faults to one another to help one another walk in grace. Walking in the light means shunning secret misdeeds. Instead, we freely admit, repent from any sin because we do not have to sin willfully and have been given the power to not let sin have any dominion over us.
