Idolatry (part 26) Modern Day Idolatry Ro. 15:13 Now the God of hope fill you with ALL joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost. 14 And I myself also am persuaded of you, my brethren, that ye also are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, , able also to admonish one another. Are you persuaded also dear saints, regarding God's children? Sadly brethren, you will not find this kind of teaching in the institutional church. Although they closely resemble the true church, here the members are beaten, not fed. The core belief of their blasephemous gospel that they preach is basically, " we do not care what the scriptures, ie God calls or says about Christians being saints and holy -they still sin, therefore, they are still sinners! They believe it is their duty to remind their members to keep short accounts, and value brokeness and sorrowfulness, even weeping over their continual sins, as a means of atonement for them, so God's hand will move! It is no wonder that such members are in danger of and do suffer depression, and suicidality. All this is about gaining control over the members for the purposes of power and money for themselves. Joy, peace, love and SELF CONTROL are characteristics of the true church.I have read many encouraging posts of the saints on this site and elsewhere. One of them is and I paraphrase" you don't have to sin, God has a better way." This saint knows who she is. This truth of Jesus, really gave me pause, because I know it is true. Greatly encouraged, I stopped struggling with sin in my life , and started to obey Jesus, according to His word. Obeying Him out of love, I soon found out that He gave me power in that particular area, and wonderfully I had an increase in joy such as I had not known before. Joy because I had pleased Him, Joy because I had been given the opportunity to show my love to and for Him, Joy because I had put Jesus first, rather than myself, Joy because I experienced the power of the indwelling Holy spirit, helping me, and guiding me to victory in Jesus, just as He Had promised-sin will not and would not have dominion over me, nor you dear saints. I give God all the glory. The word of God is clear, He has given each of us His saints all that we need, so that we do not have to practice sin. No one is saying this is easy- at first, but when we practice doing what our God says, He is well able ot give us joy and strengthening more and more. We must trust, believe and take Jesus at His word, rather than our emotions, or unwillingness to experience the suffering and seemingly inconvenience and discomfort of giving up some particular sin that seems good but actually is not pleasing to God. You see, that simple sentence of that dear saint "you don't have to sin, God has a better way" punches holes in our so called struggles with sin. Those "struggles" are just one big lie, a merely wavering between right and wrong, when we know better, because Jesus has told us what to do regarding sin-walk in the Spirit and you will not fulfill the lust of the flesh. He that suffers in His flesh has ceased from sin. Jesus has given us the mind of Christ, and the understanding that we can repent-change our mind about any sin and come in line with God's word. The scriptures speaks of utter brutality and violence to be taken by the saints in dealing with sin: "pluck it out; put it away from you; crucify it; consider it dead, etc." (I know it is unnecessary to say that we are NOT talking about doing violence to any person). Beloveds of Christ, when my eyes were opened I could then see the lie behind the false concept regarding sin, and it goes like this: Despite what the word of God says, we are ALL just poor struggling sinners, doing what we can against the very great power of sin, and barely hanging on by the skin of out teeth. It is just this sort of mentality and rebellion against the word of God that gives rise to " recovery churches" and psychologizing sin as "addictions", making those who believe it comfortable in their mess ie. sin. Holy brothers and sisters, we must and ought to believe the word of the Lord, rather than the opinions of mere men. Will you believe Jesus and do what He says? Little children of God do the work of faith, which works by His love, and you will always receive the benefits of obedience, just as Jesus promises, by the indwelling Holy Spirit. love serola

IDOLATRY (part 25) Modern Day Idolatry Beloveds of God, let us look into the word of God regarding forgiveness, sin and saints. For it is in His word, the gospel that we should abide, obey and follow. Ro 4:7 Saying, Eph 4:32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you. Col 2:13 And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses… Beloved do you believe the ALL? 1Jn 2:12 I write unto you, little children, because your sins are forgiven you for his name's sake. Heb 9:28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation. Dear one, do you believe the once? Heb 10:12 But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God; Heb 10:13 From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool. Heb 10:14 For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified. Do you believe the once and for ever, beloved? Heb 10:15 Whereof Heb 10:16 This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them; Heb 10:17 And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more. Heb 10:18 Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin. Heb 10:19 Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, Heb 10:20 By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh; Heb 10:21 And having an high priest over the house of God; Heb 10:22 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. Heb 10:23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us: for after that he had said before, Do you believe the New and Living way in full assurance, without wavering, dear one? Ro 8:27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
1Co 1:2 Unto the church of God which is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all that in every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours… Eph 2:19 Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God… Do you believe and call yourself what our god calls you, dearly beloved? Heb 9:12 Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us. Heb 9:14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
Ro 6:20 For when ye were the servants of sin, ye were free from righteousness. Ro 6:22 But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life. 1Co 7:23 Ye are bought with a price; be not ye the servants of men. 1Jn 4:10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Rev 1:5 And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood… Here dear friends of Jesus, God tells us why He sent His Son. So we see that God’s love, and Jesus’ Blood cannot be separated. 1Jn 4:20 If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen? Biblical love gives evidence of what Jesus’ blood has done in us. There are many more scriptures than I have posted, and feel free to look up others in the translations of your choice. The study will be continued and we are coming to an end, I will continue with more on the institutional church, followed by idolatry in secular society in general, ending with end notes, and any clarifications, and addendums. I pray that Jesus’ name has been lifted up above all, and many hearts encouraged to trust, love and obey Him more and more.. Of course the only right answer to the above questions is YES Lord! Love serola Ro 6:14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace. Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered.

IDOLATRY (part 24) Modern Day Idolatry Say it with me saints, Lord Jesus you ALONE, are worthy of all worship, adoration and praise. Lord God you alone have saved us and delivered us out of darkness to walk eternally in the light of your love. You have redeemed, us forever and cleansed us from our sins by your own sinless blood, and made us children of the Living God, and saints of the Lord. Be exalted O God above all of your creation, and reign in the hearts mind, and lives of your people, so that we will bring you all the glory, honor and praise. Dear saints, as I mentioned in part 23 of the study, we can look at the doctrine and basic nature of the bait and switch methods of the institutional church. We will look at how the institutional church imposes it’s own false doctrine in place of the scriptures. It is very subtle, but nevertheless discernable. I mentioned in the previous part that they occasionally preach the true gospel as bait, and may also present it in written form, as what they believe in order to lure people into the church and to gain members. Even so, what they preach consistently is another gospel, whose purpose is to gain power and control over its members for financial gain . Here then, children of the Lord is the five basic premises of the perverted so called gospel of the institutional church, and represents the switch to a false gospel: 1. 2Ch 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. 2. Gods hand cannot move, or manifest His power, because the church is so sinful. Only when the church becomes very sorry, with much weeping and crying out over their sins, will God’s hand move, and show His power. Then revival, or the new wave will take place and many people will be saved, and the world will be amazed by God’s power. 3. Those who come to Christ are saved sinners. 4. Saved sinners can and do commit all of the same sins as unsaved sinners. They base this on the various sins of saints in the old testament-King David committed murder etc. 5. Brokeness and sorrowfulness is the natural state of the saved sinner, and the goal is to obtain it through keeping short accounts. Now my beloveds, it is obvious that these five premises constitutes a misuse of the scriptures in order to deceive and convert to a false gospel. The institutional church sends out missionaries, who use the true gospel to get in, but then switch to the false. Their building is idolized, and they may spend great sums in enlarging their properties. Who actually owns these properties is actually shrouded in secrecy and subterfuge. The study will continue next time dear saints, and we will look at what God says about these things. Let us keep in mind my beloved, God’s word correctly interpreted is the final and only standard. His word judges all things but no thing and no one judges God’s word. Love serola

IDOLATRY (part 23) Modern Day Idolatry Blessed be the name of the Lord our God, forever. May His kingdom stand eternally. He alone is worthy of all worship, honor, praise and adoration. May we, the saints, His people continually rejoice in His salvation, granted through His mercy. We will look at the institutional church, it may have many names, or call itself by many denominations, but here with our Lord's help and guidance, I will try to aid us in gaining an understanding of its basic nature and methods of operations. The institutional church, this may be the most deceptive and most subtle of the false churches. For you see holy brethren, they do sometimes preach the true gospel to bring people into the building, but it is a bait and switch to Doctrinal Idolatry- those who add or subtract from God’s word, by putting their particular rituals, traditions, rules, methods, regulations, and personal teachings and opinions above God’s word. They claim their interpretations are as, or more important than the Bible-this is idolatry. Mk 7:9 And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition. Spiritual abuse is common in such churches, because it’s leaders relish beating up the members, calling it’s members hopeless sinners, and endlessly pointing out their faults. Here you will find little or no teaching on the efficacy and power of Christ in helping His children to deal with and overcome sin. Condemnation of members is on-going and brutal. Leaders encourage dependency on church leaders, not Jesus. Weakened members serve the leaders well in obtaining financial benefits, and deriving power from having control over it’s members. Depression, and suicide among its members are not uncommon in such churches. The leaders avoid sound doctrine and may focus on sensationalism, preaching themes such as a new wave, new move, or new revival. They accuse their members or all of the true saints in general for being too sinful, as the cause of delay, or the reason why the “new wave” or “revival” etc. did not come to pass, or did not remain. The church leader or leaders are credited as “founders” of the church, not Jesus Christ. They may set aside special times to celebrate the “founder” who may be living or dead, bestowing many accolades accrediting his work alone as builder of the church, and encouraging increased donations. Through its leaders, who rule as lords, the church physical building is deified, and they may give “holy” sounding names to parts of the building. For instance the platform that the leader preaches from may be called “the altar”. The main meeting room of the building may be called “the sanctuary”. The members are denigrated, and may be called “lay persons” or saved sinners, never saints, or brothers and sisters. The leaders call themselves “the clergy”, and may or may not wear curious clothing that sets them apart as such. Gross sexual sin among the leaders and members are common, especially since they teach that all members are helpless sinners, and deny the power of Christ in being obedient to Him. Financial pressure on the members is on-going, for there are many bills to be paid, their own salaries, and mostly that of hired staff-easier to control and less work, and more willing to collude with and help promote false doctrine. Those who disobey are quickly ousted, as these lord-leaders tolerate no challenges to their authority, and fiercely reject any attempts of anyone to hold them to any standard of accountability-especially in regards of church funds. So in a sense it can be called an Industrial church-making merchandise of its members for gain and sumptuous living. Next time we will look more closely at its doctrine, and the nature of its bait and switch methods. Until then, may we the children of the Lord lift His name above all names in praise and love offerings. Love serola
