THE REAL JESUS CHRIST
Mark chapter 12 study
Brothers and sisters, what a glorious Saviour
we have in Jesus Christ, our Risen Lord, who is our eternal sinless perfection
in the perfect, complete sacrifice of Himself for us, and who has washed us,
cleansed us, and forgiven us of all our sins for all eternity in His sinless
blood. Now we are baptized into His death, and raised to life by His power, and
given eternal life freely by His grace, let us boldly enter into His very presence
with praises and thanksgiving always for He is worthy.
Dearly beloveds, if any be troubled, if
any be persecuted, afflicted, cast down or weary, know that this present
suffering which many endure, is but for a moment- will have its end at the
appointed time. Therefore, rest with us, be of good cheer in Him who has
overcome the world, Jhn 16:33. Holy
brothers and sisters, whosoever you may be, work, watch, wait and pray in patience, in
steadfast faith, knowing that the God we serve is always in perfect control: Psa 103:19; Dan 4:17.
Mark 12:28And one of the scribes came,
and having heard them reasoning together, and perceiving that he had answered
them well, asked him, Which is the first commandment of all?
We know that the scribe having overheard Jesus’
reasoning with the Sadducees and referencing Moses as He was addressed in the
burning bush by God was not asking a question at all regarding the Law of Moses.
Why? Because God had not yet given the Law to Moses, therefore the scribe was
asking Jesus regarding the Abrahamic Covenant, not the Law of Moses.
Exo 2:24
And
God heard their groaning, and God remembered his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob.
Most certainly Lord Jesus and the scribe
both knew that Israel had irreparably broken the Mosaic covenant of the Law:
Jer31:31 Behold, the days come, saith the
LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the
house of Israel, and with the house of Judah
Jer 31:32
Not
according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the
day that I took them by the hand to bring them
out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they
brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the LORD:
Therefore, Jesus did not rebuke the
scribe, but answered him according to the New Covenant of which He is both
Author and Finisher:
Jesus answered him, The first of all the
commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one
Lord: 30And thou shalt
love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all
thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first
commandment. 31And the
second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love
thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.
With the authority as the Owner of the
New Covenant Jesus Christ sets the standard of the primacy of loving God totally
and evidenced in this same love towards His creations seeing all men as our
neighbor, in which these two commandments become inseparably one and the
greatest of all commandment.
Holy people, Jesus had come to fulfill
the Law and bring forth the New Covenant in His atoning work. Jesus preached
the New Covenant in the synagogues and everywhere, while upholding the Law
until the appointed time when He would release all who believed in Him from the
bondage of the Law. Luk 16:16; Act 13:39, Rom 3:20.
This scribe, brethren, believed the
scriptures, unlike the unbelieving Sadducees, and asked his question in sincerity
seeking to obey and trust in God according to the promises made to Abraham: Gen 17:7
And I will
establish my covenant between me and thee and thy
seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to
be a God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee.
See Gal 3:17; Heb 8:8.

THE REAL JESUS CHRIST
Mark chapter 12 study
Amen, brethren, thanks and praise be to our Lord and
Saviour Jesus Christ. Father, we cannot thank you enough for all your
everlasting grace and to the Holy Spirit, who comforts us in all our trials.
Let us continually pray for one another and for all men. Jesus Lord, bring
comfort to any among us that needs a touch from your powerful nail scarred
hands, especially those who are grieving, and lift up those who might be sick
amongst us, and lift up them Lord that need good cheer. Let us, brothers and
sisters humbly go on in to meet the Lord together in this study and fully
embrace all that He will surely reveal to us for our learning, and for our good
and His glory.
The scribes were of the Levites, they had
several duties, but primarily their duty was to teach the people and help them
understand the Law:
Neh 8:13
And on the second day were
gathered together the chief of the fathers of all the
people, the priests, and the Levites, unto Ezra the scribe, even
to understand the words of the law.
Mark 12:28And one of the scribes came,
and having heard them reasoning together, and perceiving that he had answered
them well, asked him, Which is the first commandment of all?
In a way, dearly beloveds, one could
ponder why a scribe of all persons would ask Lord Jesus or anyone else that
question, because according to the Mosaic Covenant all the commandments,
statutes etc it contained had to be obeyed- no exception. These commandments
given by God were never listed in terms of valuations of one being more
important than another.
Lev 26:15
And if ye shall despise my statutes, or
if your soul abhor my judgments, so that ye will not do all my commandments, but that
ye break my covenant:
Num 15:40
That ye may remember, and do all my commandments, and
be holy unto your God.
2Ch 33:8
Neither will I any
more remove the foot of Israel from out of the
land which I have appointed for your fathers; so that they
will take heed to do all that I have
commanded them, according
to the whole law and the statutes and the
ordinances by the hand of Moses.
Jas 2:10
For whosoever shall
keep the whole law, and
yet offend in one point, he is guilty of
all.

THE REAL JESUS CHRIST
Mark chapter 12 study
Brothers and sisters blessed be God the Father, and our
Saviour, Shepherd and Lord Jesus Christ. As priests, under our High Priest Jesus
Christ let us pour out to Him our liberal love, thanks, and praise offerings as
a sweet-smelling sacrifice for God is worthy. Lord Jesus we come to your word,
humbly seeking you, to learn of you. Guide us, feed us, strengthen us in the
joy of loving and knowing you, comfort our spirits and satisfy us in your presence,
and root us to the uttermost in your everlasting inerrant truth, that we shall
glorify you above all forever.
What was Lord Jesus feeling about these tricky Sadducees
who clearly rejected Him? Was He angry, disgusted, hurt fed up, disappointed? Brethren,
we don’t know. Jesus did not have to answer them, He could have simply walked
away without a word. However, Jesus who is the Resurrection and the life (Jhn 11:25)
would take the Sadducees to school as He declared the everlasting truth of
scripture: Mark 12: 25For
when they shall rise from the dead, they neither marry, nor are given in
marriage; but are as the angels which are in heaven. 26And as touching the dead,
that they rise: have ye not read in the book of Moses, how
in the bush God spake unto him, saying, I am the God of
Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? 27He is not the God of the
dead, but the God of the living: ye therefore do greatly err.
Brothers and sisters, the Sadducees had willfully made
the biggest error any one can make in this life in forsaking God, and choosing the
empty riches of this life over the only eternal life that matters which arises
from faith in God. Those who unrepentantly choose this life only are twice dead
and have no part with God, who is life and the sole source of it. The Sadducees
had the scriptures:
Isa 65:17
For, behold, I create new heavens and
a new earth: and the former shall not be
remembered, nor come into mind. There will be no need to ever
remember the pain and baggage or anything of our former lives in our natural
bodies.
Isa 25:8
He will swallow up death in
victory; and the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from
off all faces; and the rebuke of his people shall he take
away from off all the earth: for the LORD hath spoken it.
We understand, brethren, Jesus is not speaking of men
living forever in their natural bodies. Unfortunately, the mega rich spend a
great deal of money in hopes of either extending the range of human years, and /or
even hope to prevent death of the natural body completely. Certainly, we ought
to do our best to take care of our natural bodies to the extent that we can but
even so: Heb 9:27
And as it is appointed unto
men once to die, but after this the judgment:
The fact of Lord Jesus referencing to the Sadducees “
have ye not read in the book of Moses” shows clearly that the Sadducees indeed knew
scripture well and that although Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob had died in their natural
bodies, their souls remain alive in the presence of God until the resurrection
of all saints at the appointed time, as do all who believe in Jesus Christ the
seed of Abraham ( Gal 3:16).
Brothers and sisters, Jesus speaks to us even now, that
we should not live for this life only for then we have no hope. Neither should
we mourn over our deceased loved ones as unbelievers do. Instead let us hold fast to the inerrant truth of scripture,
and keep our eyes on Lord Jesus who is our life- fully embracing Him in faith
knowing that it is impossible for God to lie and that: 1Co 15:52
In a moment, in the twinkling of
an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the
dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be
changed.

THE REAL JESUS CHRIST Mark chapter 12 study
Brothers and sisters, thanks, and praise God that we have the word of God to teach and preach the wonderful gospel message of Salvation through the Son of God Jesus Christ whom He has appointed the Saviour and sole Mediator between God and man. What a wonderful privilege God has given to all that believe and obey Him to be called His very own children; the children of God, the called-out ones, children of light, children of the day; saints (G40 hagios). Thanks for hanging with me in this study as we humbly pour over the scriptures to partake in the glorious everlasting doctrine of the gospel of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, in the presence of God the Father and the guidance of the Holy Spirit, to whom be all the glory, honor, dominion, praises and worship forever.
Again, and again we do know that the Sadducees well understood and were all taught to know the scriptures and they knew God forbade the adding to or taking away from the scriptures, but did it anyway: Deu 4:2 Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you.
The Sadducees, dearly beloveds, like the Pharisees had their own personal doctrines and cherry picked and taught the Law to their advantage, just like the Pharisees, among others. Jesus warned His disciples about them: Mat 16:11 How is it that ye do not understand that I spake it not to you cocerning bread, that ye should beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees?
Lord Jesus did not take false doctrines lightly: King James Bible Making the word of God of none effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye. These pernicious false doctrines corrupted and hindered people from coming to God, just like such false doctrines do today.
The Sadducees did not even believe in the resurrection: Mat 22:23 The same day came to him the Sadducees, which say that there is no resurrection, and asked him,
Why, brothers and sisters, would the Sadducees ask a question to which they already had their answer? Why didn’t the Sadducees openly tell Jesus they did not believe in the resurrection and directly challenge Him to prove them wrong?
They came in deception with their question thinking that they would confuse Lord Jesus, make him stumble at the word, or be unable to answer which would cast further doubt on there being any resurrection in the minds of those hearers standing by, and discredit Lord Jesus as a trustworthy teacher. But Jesus knew their unbelief.
For this reason, Jesus answered them with a question: Don’t you err, willingly fall away from the truth and turn to sin (said of heretics) because you don’t know the scriptures nor the power of God?
In other words, Jesus let them know the direct cause of them not knowing the power of God nor the scriptures is because they had willingly refused to believe the scriptures and had instead turned from God to their own error and sin.
This, holy brethren, is the root cause of why we have so many false, greedy teachers desiring money, and power who even now have turned their backs on God and mislead/pervert scripture and hinder many trying to enter the kingdom of God.
Jesus Christ is warning us today, brethren, stay on message and avoid those who willfully cherry pick and pervert the gospel. This is vain worship which is absolutely rejected by God.
Mar 7:7 Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

THE REAL JESUS
Mark chapter 12
Brothers and sisters, praise God we all
need the real Jesus. Thanks be to God for the diligent elders, teachers and the
body general that are zealous for the word to teach it, live it, share it, meditate
on it, and reflect it to a lost and dying world. Thank God, we can always find
the real Jesus in His word, correctly interpreted. The real Jesus is who are
hearts always long for, it is the real Jesus that comforts us in all our
trials, helps us in every area of our needs, patiently, zealously disciplines
us, and loves us into His image and His truth.
As we continue on in Mark chapter 12 we come
to the place where Lord Jesus answers the Sadducees: 24And Jesus answering said unto
them, Do ye not therefore err, because ye know not the
scriptures, neither the power of God? 25For when they shall rise from
the dead, they neither marry, nor are given in marriage; but are as the angels
which are in heaven. 26And
as touching the dead, that they rise: have ye not read in the book of Moses,
how in the bush God spake unto him, saying, I am the God of
Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? 27He is not the God of the dead,
but the God of the living: ye therefore do greatly err.
Some might think that Jesus in answering
with the question: “Do ye not therefore err, because ye know not the
scriptures, neither the power of God?” means that the Sadducees are in error
because they are innocently ignorant or didn’t know the scriptures or understand
the power of God. We know from scripture that this would be a mistaken
conclusion, because according to scripture they were all well taught the word
by the Levitical priesthood, even kings had to study it daily, and every
household was to teach it to their children night and day: Deu 6:1
Now these are the
commandments, the statutes, and the judgments, which the
LORD your God commanded to teach you, that ye might
do them in the land whither ye go to
possess it:
Deu 6:7
And thou shalt teach them
diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou
sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the
way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.
And it is needless to think that they
were ignorant of the power of God, seeing it is well recorded of how He delivered
them by His invincible power time and time again from their enemies and of His
deliverance of them into the promised land, and time without end.
So, dearly beloveds, what is Jesus telling
the Sadducees, and what does our King and Saviour want us to learn from this?

THE REAL JESUS CHRIST
Mark chapter 12 study
Mark 12:23In
the resurrection
therefore, when they shall rise, whose wife shall she be of them? for the seven
had her to wife.
It is quite obvious, dearly beloveds, that
the Sadducees and many other carnally minded persons who deny any resurrection
or life after death believe that only the material gains and pleasures of this
life makes life worth living. Such are greatly comforted thinking in error that
they can do and live any way they want in this life and face no accountability
or consequences after death. This kind of wrongful thinking goes a long way in
killing the conscience and allows some to have no low to which they would not sink
in order to achieve their ends, no matter how evil.
Brothers and sisters, we know that Jesus
would answer the Sadducees question; however, He knew that God Himself and His
prophets had taught Israel all down its history that He is Sovereign over life
and death. This was to prepare them to believe the Messenger of the Covenant who
would arrive with the gift of salvation and eternal life. In fact, God demonstrated
His awesome power over and as the giver of life and death continually and
showed that if He desired, He could take a righteous person straight to heaven
who never suffered any physical death at all. Besides Himself, God left many
witnesses:
Gen
5:24
And Enoch walked with
God: and he was not; for God took him.
2Ki
2:11
And it came to pass, as they
still went on, and talked, that, behold, there appeared a
chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them
both asunder; and Elijah went up by
a whirlwind into heaven.
Job
19:25 For I know that my
redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the
latter day upon the earth:
26 And though after my
skin worms destroy this body, yet in my
flesh shall I see God: 27 Whom I shall
see for myself, and mine eyes shall behold, and not
another; though my reins be consumed within me.
Dan
12:2 And
many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall
awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.
Hos
13:14 I will
ransom them from the power of the grave; I will
redeem them from death: O death, I will be
thy plagues; O grave, I will be thy
destruction: repentance shall be hid from mine eyes.
These Jews could have inquired of a widow’s
son in the town of Nain: Luk 7:11-17;
they could have inquired about a man named Lazarus: Jhn 11:43-44.
They heard the explicit teaching/preaching
of resurrection directly from the Messenger of the Covenant, Jesus Christ: Jhn 5:28-29.
Jhn
10:28
And I give unto
them eternal life; and they
shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out
of my hand.
This, brethren, shows how hardened were
the hearts of these Sadducees. Some even today are hardened in unbelief and by
the lusts of the flesh. They have no fear of God and if they die unrepentant
they will face the absolutely certain wrath of God and eternal damnation. Against
this back drop we can more fully grasp the insolence, disrespect, unbelief and
outrageous insult/blasphemy that these Jews would even come to Lord Jesus Christ with
such a question about the resurrection, directly challenging the power and truthfulness of God.

THE REAL JESUS CHRIST
Mark chapter 12 study
Brothers and sisters, what a mighty God we
serve, how gracious that He would send us His only most precious Son Jesus Christ
who would give Himself for us and purge us from our sins with His sinless body
and blood. Now, brethren, most of us know that the body and sinless blood of
our Saviour Jesus Christ absolutely did not rot and absolutely cannot ever rot
or see corruption: Act 2:27
Because thou
wilt not leave my soul in hell, neither wilt
thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.
Act 2:31 He
seeing this before spake of the resurrection of
Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did
see corruption.
Act 13:35 Wherefore he
saith also in another psalm, Thou
shalt not suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.
36For David, after he had
served his own generation by the will of God, fell on
sleep, and was unto his fathers, and saw corruption:
37 But he, whom God raised
again, saw no corruption.
Then, holy people, as most of us know, God
gives further evidence that Jesus Christ saw no form of corruption in His death
nor resurrection. Under the Law the body and blood of those sacrifice animals were weak insufficient to
accomplish eternal forgiveness for all the people and even the human high
priest had to offer up first for his own sins before he could offer the sacrifice
for the sins of the people but this is not so with the eternal sinless Saviour Jesus
Christ, see: Heb
9, which compares and contrasts the Mosaic Law with the Law of grace
showing forth who, what, when, where and how grace is the better and everlasting covenant
and the Mosaic Law completed/fulfilled in Christ. Also see Gal 3. Do not be deceived, tricked nor fooled, those
who deny the eternal incorruptible sinless body and blood of Christ are still
dead in their sins and should repent and come believing God for it is
impossible for Him to ever lie.
Mark 12: 18Then come unto him the
Sadducees, which say there is no resurrection; and they asked him,
saying, 19Master, Moses
wrote unto us, If a man's brother die, and leave his wife behind
him, and leave no children, that his brother should take his wife, and
raise up seed unto his brother. 20Now there were seven brethren:
and the first took a wife, and dying left no seed. 21And the second took her, and
died, neither left he any seed: and the third likewise. 22And the seven had her, and
left no seed: last of all the woman died also. 23In
the resurrection therefore, when they shall rise, whose wife shall she be of
them? for the seven had her to wife.
Holy people, the Sadducees had no right
to exist. Under the Law, had it actually been faithfully followed by the Levitical
priesthood, the Sadducees should have been put to death. It was just another man-made
sect of Jews that departed from and perverted the Mosaic Law in teaching false
doctrines, to serve themselves and not God nor the people. They were never mentioned
among the Levites and chief priests whom God had appointed over Israel to teach
the people and uphold the Law. it is further evidence of the terrible wilful dereliction
of duty and continued corruption of the Aaronic priesthood under the Law of
Moses. Jesus warned about such teachers: Mat 16:12,
and it still holds true today about all false teachers.

THE REAL JESUS CHRIST
Mark chapter 12 study
Brothers and sisters, what joy, privilege,
and great blessings we have to belong to God, and to one another because of
Lord Jesus Christ the Son of God our eternal Saviour, who has sealed us with
the Holy Spirit. Let us dig into the Word of God and I pray that He will feed
us therein according to our need with His knowledge and deepen us in our
understanding and strengthen us in our inner man, so that we can better serve
Him, one another, and be a blessing and a light in this present evil world..
Mark 12;13And they send unto him certain
of the Pharisees and of the Herodians, to catch him in his words.
Dearly beloveds, the fact that the ruling
Jews would send the Pharisees for any reason shows the utter failure of the
Levitical ministry and the great corruption of the High Priest. There should
have been no Pharisees, who added to the Law their particular teachings. It was
to be a death sentence for anyone who added to or took away from the Law. The Pharisees
and the Herodians were well received because of their wealth, and they were
most welcomed to give their generous tithes to fill the coffers of the ruling
religious leaders. The connection of the ruling Jews to the Herodians shows they
were co-conspirators of the same mind as the first Herod (the great) whose goal
was to eliminate the Messiah to keep his own status and power.
Mark 14And when they were come, they
say unto him, Master, we know that thou art true, and carest for no man: for
thou regardest not the person of men, but teachest the way of God in truth: Is
it lawful to give tribute to Caesar, or not? 15Shall we give, or shall we not
give? But he, knowing their hypocrisy, said unto them, Why tempt ye me? bring
me a penny, that I may see it. 16And they brought it.
And he saith unto them, Whose is this image and
superscription? And they said unto him, Caesar's. 17And Jesus answering said unto
them, Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that
are God's. And they marvelled at him.
Saints
(G40 hagios), Jesus knew how the ruling Jews loved money, and that they would
have no dibs on Israel, because Israel was their cash cow which they fully
intended to keep control of, by any means necessary, to milk it fully to
maintain their lavish lifestyle: Mat 6:24
No
man can serve two masters: for either he
will hate the one, and love the other; or else he
will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye
cannot serve God and mammon.
Nevertheless, brothers and sisters, Lord Jesus
in Mark 11 overthrew the money changers and stopped the buying and selling in
the temple, which apparently got on the last nerves of the ruling Jews. It
seems as though they had a mindset that Jesus might mess with their money with
impunity, but He would not mess with Caesar’s, and if He did what ever He said
would be used to get Him in trouble with Caesar, which could mean His arrest
and or death.
They must also have felt confident that
even if Jesus spoke in favor of the tribute, He would fall in disfavor among
the Jews who might refuse to hear Him at worst, or stone Him at best, as it
would displease the Jews who hated these taxes and thought tax collectors or
publicans were the lowest form of humans. These religious leaders were cunning,
they thought they had a win win situation, to finally get rid of Jesus; but
they were wrong, they truly did not know the real Jesus.
Jesus did not fear Caesar. It is before Jesus
Christ that Caesar and every knee shall bow. It is the kingdom of God alone
that shall last forever. Here our Beloved One explicitly states the mind of God
and the will of God: give the temporal government whatever God permits it to
have ( ( Rom
13:7), and
render unto God every thing that belongs to Him.
Jesus,
brethren, would absolutely not comingle these two kingdoms-the temporals with
the eternal. Jesus cares about injustice, and the poor, and helps their cause; however,
there would be no wholesale conversion of His covenant to a social justice
program to right all the massive on-going wrongs of the temporal kingdom. No!
His work was and is to reform the hearts of men to save them through His Sinless
blood, and establish the only kingdom that would last forever, which is His
own.

THE REAL JESUS CHRIST
Mark 12 study
Brothers and sisters, let us continually believe,
study, meditate, and live the scriptures, so that daily we are more conformed
to the very heart and image of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Let us diligently
remember to pray for one another and all men, freely and often bringing our
petitions and supplications to our Saviour, High Priest, Advocate, Mediator and
Lord in full assurance that He hears us: 1Jo 5:14.
3And they caught him,
and beat him, and sent him away empty. 4And again he sent unto them
another servant; and at him they cast stones, and wounded him in
the head, and sent him away shamefully handled. 5And again he sent another; and
him they killed, and many others; beating some, and killing some. 6Having yet therefore one son,
his wellbeloved, he sent him also last unto them, saying, They will reverence
my son. 7But those
husbandmen said among themselves, This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and
the inheritance shall be ours. 8And
they took him, and killed him, and cast him out of
the vineyard.
Dearly beloveds, the reality of the
parable that Lord Jesus speaks addresses the rabid savagery and relentless
determination of the ruling Jews to keep God’s kingdom in the hands of men,
even if it meant killing God’s very Son. Even from the time of Christ’s birth
the rulers plotted to kill Him when He was a very young child. Since the child
could not be identified, it was decided to kill all the kids from and certain
age and under: Mat
2:16. It’s beyond obvious that the
only thing they wanted was to see Lord Jesus Dead, and they made no secret of
it.
9What shall therefore the lord of
the vineyard do? he will come and destroy the husbandmen, and will give the
vineyard unto others.
10And have ye not read this
scripture; The stone which the builders rejected is become the head or of the corner:
11This was the Lord's doing, and
it is marvellous in our eyes?
Brethren, Lord Jesus does not hem, and
haw here but frankly tells them that God will destroy them for their persistent
violent and murderous rebellion and give their portion to others. Some might
say, but, but, but God is love how could He destroy anyone! Yes indeed, God is
love, and God is truth. However, God does not love evil; nor does His love exempt,
excuse, or allow anyone to escape the consequences of their evil deeds. Does God
hate? Psa
11:5
The LORD trieth the righteous: but the wicked and
him that loveth violence his soul hateth.
Pro 24:20
For there shall be no reward to
the evil man; the candle of the wicked shall be put out.
Jhn 3:19
And this is the condemnation, that light is
come into the
world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
Despite all the plots, plans, schemes,
and traps of the ruling Jews to kill the Messiah, God still brought Him through
and made Him the head of His kingdom. Oh, the wisdom and power of God, none can
nullify His plans.
12And they sought to lay hold on
him, but feared the people: for they knew that he had spoken the parable
against them: and they left him, and went their way.
They were not embarrassed, remorseful, or
ashamed for being called out, by Jesus. Instead, they were angry at
Jesus as though Jesus had done something
wrong in telling the truth about their evil deeds of continual resistance to God
and His Messiah! All along lord Jesus’ will, as all the prophets before Him was
to turn the Jews to God.
Jesus did not care that the ruling Jews did
not want Him, rejected Him, hated Him. He was absolutely not going to curl up
into a ball and cry, and He was absolutely not going to pack up His bags and
leave town. Jesus would not change the message of the Father to please men, nor
out of fear of men; nor would He withhold the Message but would give it to all
alike. Lord Jesus out of love for the Father and His creation would fight on to
the end to save undeserving men, even knowing it would cost Him His life.

THE REAL JESUS CHRIST
Mt. chapter 12 study
Dearly beloveds, we know that the world
is opposed to the things of God and finds it useful and comforting to paint a
very “safe” neutral, or “non -judgmental” Picture of Lord Jesus Christ. It is
not unheard of for some in the world to exclaim “sweet little baby Jesus” in
referencing Him. However, praise God, the Bible presents our Lord and Saviour
as the fully adult eternal God man who speaks the everlasting truth-ALL OF IT
ALL THE TIME, whether anyone likes it or not. We must speak all just as Lord Jesus
speaks without fear of men.
Brothers and sisters, let us go on into
this chapter together, where the Lord will speak to us, leading us, the Holy
Spirit guiding us, in the presence of God the father. Pray with me that Jesus will
deepen our understanding of Him, comfort/encourage us in our faith, that we
will be strengthened and love Him more and more and one another, standing
steadfast and immoveable in the everlasting truth.
1And he began to speak unto them
by parables. A certain man planted a vineyard, and set an
hedge about it, and digged a place for the
winefat, and built a tower, and let it out to husbandmen, and went into a far
country. 2And at the
season he sent to the husbandmen a servant, that he might receive from the
husbandmen of the fruit of the vineyard.
We know from the previous chapter that
the them are: Mt 11: 27And they come again to
Jerusalem: and as he was walking in the temple, there come to him the chief priests, and the
scribes, and the elders, 28And say unto him, By what
authority doest thou these things? and who gave thee this authority to do these
things?
These ruling Jews, holy people, had the Old
Testament, the history of God with mankind from the beginning, for God had
given it to them, they well knew the Messianic promise. Jesus the God man knew
who He was dealing with, He knew their history of persistent rebellion,
disobedience-and they had a nasty habit of killing His prophets and other
servants He sent to them, and He most certainly knew that they hadn’t changed
one bit:
Jesus the God man had heard the testimony
of Elijah among others about what Israel did to His prophets: 1 Kings 19:10
He said, “I have been very zealous for
the Lord, the God of hosts; for the sons of Israel have forsaken Your covenant,
torn down Your altars and killed Your prophets with the sword. And I alone am
left; and they seek my life, to take it away.”
Nehemiah 9:26
“But they became disobedient and rebelled
against You,
And cast Your law behind their backs
And killed Your prophets who had
admonished them
So that they might return to You,
And they committed great blasphemies.
We have the confirming testimony of Lord Jesus Himself:
Mat 23:37
O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them
which are sent unto thee, how often would I have
gathered thy children together, even as a
hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye
would not!
Come on brethren, you know a lesser man
knowing these types of people, might have run the other way when He saw them
coming. Or might have had second thoughts about saying anything to them at all,
or at the least looked for ways to sugar coat his message to prevent from being
killed outright by them.
However, Lord Jesus, greatly outnumbered,
and whose supreme authority they continually and outrageously challenged did
not even hesitate to speak the word full throttle, knowing full well the last
thing these unbelieving Jews wanted to hear about, even in a parable is the end
of their rule, power, wealth, and the establishing of the Messianic kingdom:

GOD ONLY PLANTS GOOD SEEDS FOR THERE IS NO
OTHER KIND
Mt chapter 13 study
Holy people, thanks, and praises to our
Father God, and to His Son our Saviour Jesus Christ, and to the Holy Spirit who
leads us into all truth as the truth is in Jesus Christ. Eph 4:21. Let
us, brethren, continue on in this study with the Word our Lord Jesus, and God our
Father who continually commands us to trust and obey Lord Jesus, and the Holy
Spirit our teacher bringing to our remembrance all things that Jesus said and
ministering the word the spiritual food for and to our hearts and minds, that
builds us up in faith, obedience, love, and unity. Let us believe and apply the
word in public and private, giving Him all the glory who has made us His family
in heaven and earth of both Jew and gentile, Eph 3:15 .
No truly powerful man on earth has ever
waited so long and come so far to receive so little respect and acceptance from
so many He came to save Another man might have become bitter, discouraged, and
so enraged that he would have destroyed these ingrates on the spot. However, God
is merciful and will not forsake His promises TO THEM THAT TURN TO OBEY AND
TRUST IN HIM:
Jesus is not known as and called The Rock
for nothing, He is unwavering, unyielding, immoveable, 1Co 10:4; Mat 7:24-25; Deu 32:4; 2Sa 22:47. He
absolutely will not ever allow mere men to dictate to Him who He would accept
or not into His kingdom: Rom 9:8
That is, They which are the children of the
flesh, these are not the children of God: but the children of the
promise are counted for the seed.
The biological Jew, or gentile, even the
son of the son of the preacher man- Rom 8:9…...
But if any man hath not the Spirit of Christ, he
is none of his.
It is the spiritual DNA that counts with God,
the biological DNA without the Spirit of Christ means nothing to Him.
Jesus the God man showed mercy, then and
at this present time in that He still keeps the door open until the appointed
time, afterwards the door shall be shut for all eternity. Jesus proved He is God
in every way, in showing mercy to those who deserved none of it, while still zealously
warning and commanding all: Heb 3:8
Harden not your hearts, as in the
provocation, in the day of temptation in the
wilderness:
Heb 3:15
While it is said, To
day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the
provocation.
Heb 4:7
Again, he limiteth a certain day, saying in David, To day, after so long a time; as it
is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts.
Jesus is the Prophet not like any other: Heb 1:1 God, who
at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time
past unto the fathers by the prophets, 2
hath in these last days spoken unto
us by his Son, whom he hath
appointed heir of all things, by whom also he
made the worlds;
We all are commanded to Hear this Prophet
of the last days Jesus Christ, who is above all prophets.
Mat 13:58
And he
did not many mighty works there because of
their unbelief.
Jesus knew because they had hardened
their hearts, they would no more be persuaded by His mighty works than they had
been by His earlier teachings, which they rejected although they were
astonished by them.
Heb 6:7 For the
earth which drinketh in the rain that
cometh oft upon it, and bringeth
forth herbs meet for them by whom it is
dressed, receiveth blessing from God:
8 But that
which beareth thorns and briers is rejected, and is nigh unto
cursing; whose end is to be burned.
AMP Heb 6: 7For soil that drinks the rain
which often falls on it and produces crops useful to those for whose benefit it
is cultivated, receives a blessing from God; 8but if it persistently
produces thorns and thistles, it is worthless and close to being cursed, and it
ends up being burned.
Here, holy people, lies the core of and
penultimate reason that condemns men and women to be judged by God worthy of
everlasting punishment and eternal death-impenitent unbelief:
Holy people, we too have received from God,
even as Israel the knowledge of the Law, the sacred writings, the prophets,
Abraham, John the Baptist, and the complete atonement of Jesus Christ in His
New Testament and the Holy Spirit, so that we can be fully convinced, convicted,
and persuaded to trust and believe in Him completely and steadfastly.
Heb 4:11 Let
us labour therefore to
enter into that rest, lest any
man fall after the same example of unbelief.
Therefore, saints (G40 hagios), let us
all remain steadfast finally and completely resting in full confidence and
faith in the eternal truth of Lord Jesus Christ. Let us, always give out the
whole gospel message without fear even as Lord Jesus our Saviour and everlasting
example of faithfulness, who by His power will present us to Himself without
spot nor blemish, and keep us from falling Eph 5:27; Jude
24 .

serola
