IDOLATRY (part 18) Modern Day Idolatry Oh how great is the Lord, (say it with me saints!) He alone is worthy of all honor, glory, worship and praise. Jesus alone is our High Priest over the house of God. And we His people can truly rest in our great shepherd whose eyes never close in sleep, , and who lives forever and to make intercession for the saints calling them by name. The true church is a living breathing, walking, talking, thinking, acting, feeling spiritual body under the control of Jesus Christ the Head of the body, and where ever it goes, there goes the church, see how free, mobile and lively it is? Each saint is a living stone which Christ has used to build His church. Yet some have made an idol of the church building. I want to be careful here, dear friends of Jesus, to say that I am not painting with a broad brush, for there are multitudes of overseers and those among the flock of God who have knowledge that neither the church building nor any other idol is anything, but Christ is all. Yet some have made the church building-from hereon I will address it as the church facility, an idol. I believe this has mainly come to pass out of ignorance, because sometimes a thing can be done for so long and so often, that it does not immediately appear to be detrimental and dishonoring to Jesus our Lord. I believe this is the case with the church’s physical facility A.K.A the so-called “church”. I don’t pretend to know all the reasons why the church facility has become an idol to some. But I do know this that, only Jesus is worthy of our worship, and that He will not share His glory with any idol. Children of the day, I want to touch on some of the detrimental things that occur when the focus is taken off of Jesus, and put on the idol church facility. Firstly, some have become convinced that we the saints actually go to “church”, rather than the saints the true church goes to assemble itself together with other saints. There is absolutely No biblical references to the saints “going to church”, being “welcomed to church”, praying in the “sanctuary”, being blessed at the “altar” , “standing on “holy ground”, requested to become a “member of the church,” or putting their names on the “church rolls.” Children of the day, I am not saying that the saints should not have a place to meet, whether in a facility, a house, an auditorium, tent, or the open air. What I am saying, brothers and sisters, is that when a shift occurs that place more value on the place where the saints meet, rather than on the saints you will find these detrimental things occurring, and a deification of the place over the saints. A kind of switched identity also occurs (Jesus always knows those that are His), where even some saints are convinced that the place where they go to assemble is the actual church and derive their sense of purpose and identity from the facility. Now there are some who aid and abet this deception for their own gain. The study will continue, dear friends of Jesus, let us continue to offer the sweet sacrifice of praise to Jesus the only One who is worthy of our worship, adoration and exaltation. love serola IDOLATRY (part 18) Modern Day Idolatry

IDOLATRY (part 17) Modern Day Idolatry Bless the Lord, who is so loving, good and kind, who even when He disciplines us, it is in love, which He NEVER withdraws from us. Let me say dear brethren, there are those who appear to enjoy slapping around Christ’s bride, and making sweeping accusations against her, but I fear the Lord too much in holy reverence to be among them. Futhermore, the hand that reaches out continually to slap Christ’s bride around, will one day draw back a nub, for He will not tolerate spiritual domestic abuse in His house, and against the bride. I am for biblical admonishment and discipline as long as it is done God's way, which is the only right way and not out of carnal irritability. Some are aware of other forms of idolatry among the true church, and I do not dispute that, but I pray to explain something about this in a general way, later in this study, May the Lord guide me to proceed in holy reverence to Him, and with care and respect to the saints as I now proceed. Blessed children of light, there are two, and not one form of idolatry I had previously mentioned that I would like to address. The first is a very pervasive form of modern day idolatry among( but never in) the true church. There is no condemnation to the saints at all, but I pray the Holy Spirit will open up our understanding about this, to refresh us, enlighten us in His love, and mightily strengthen our hearts and minds as to who we are in Him. The study will continue on, and I pray the Lord will bring us here together again next time. love serola IDOLATRY (part 17) Modern Day Idolatry

IDOLATRY (part 16) Modern Day Idolatry The Lord continually be praised, blessed, and glorified for the mercy and kindness of His grace given abundantly and freely to all that believe on His name. I humbly count myself, to be most wonderfully blessed that our Lord has granted me a permanent place in His eternal body, and to be a partaker of His spirit and to have fellowship among the Saints along with all of you. We can praise our God, dear saints, and know without a shadow of a doubt it is His hands and by His power that He always has and always will lead His church, the flock of God to Himself for all eternity, without any spot, wrinkle or blemish of any kind. Dear saints go back and say that first paragraph with me-taste and see that our Lord is soooo good! Dear friends of Jesus, we can see from having just concluded the basics of the true church, that Christianity is not a religion, but a personal relationship with the Living and only Saviour; that the true church is lovely and lively, every saint being equal and encouraged having a part and a place among the brothers and sisters. The true church is not about locality-ship, but worship of God and the fellowship of the body with Him and with one another. Because of abundant love here in the true church, and the equality of the saints, differing only in God- assigned roles and function, there is no need for a saint to ever grumble, covet or lack a place in the body, where ever its location. Although the church may use a facility to meet in and carry out its function, it is understood that the work is to be done is in and among the body and NOT LIMITED TO LOCATION, or even the lack thereof . Some may say, “hey my church doesn’t look much like the one described here”. I have prayed carefully to give a wise answer to those saints who voice this issue. My prayerful answer is this, without any condemnation: beloveds, as we continue to love, live, and look like the true church that we are, then it will be possible to help other saints do the same. We have taken the time to look at the basics of what the true church is, and our identity in Jesus Christ, beloveds of God, for the purpose of this study. More detailed information regarding those whom Christ never knew, tares , the church, accountability and discipline are available from many other good sources including this site. Coming up next I will present not one as I mentioned initially, but two forms of idolatry among the true church, and I look forward to seeing you then, dear saints. love serola

IDOLATRY (part 15) Modern Day Idolatry Saints, let us continue on with the true church(the people of God), regarding overseers- they love, care, discipline, and protect all members, whom they recognize with themselves as all being equal, only having differing roles and function in the church - to help each member to, love, serve, protect, care for one another, others and to use their gifts for the sake of and in the body, as well as to protect the church doctrine and preserve, and promote order.
No saint no matter, what role or function He or she has in the church, including overseers is exempt from biblical church discipline, I Ti. 5: 19-21, Ro. 15:14; so in this sense, holy brethren, we are also accountable to one another. Are the gifts for ALL the saints? See God’s answer here. I Cor: 4-11. Correction-see I Co. 12:7-11. All saints live dependent on and accountable to God, and are interdependent on one another in love. The lone ranger stance is unacceptable in God’s family, all saints are to live connected to other saints as well as the Godhead, as one united family of brothers and sisters in Christ. As the Family of God, we have God’s word on how we ought to treat one another in love. Ro. 12:4-21. I Ti. 5: 19-21, Ro. 15:14; Eph. 4:25;32. Eph 5:21; Col. 3:9; 3:16; I Th. 3: 11-13 Heb. 10: 24-26, please feel free to look up the other numerous prohibitions for and against how saints must treat and relate to one another. How saints can overcome the past will be dealt with in a separate study to follow this one, as it contains too much material to post here and would result in a confusing study within a study. and we know dear children of light that God is not the author of confusion, and I thank you for your patience. My continued hope is that we shall always see Jesus here, and Him lifted up in our hearts always.
love
