Mt chapter 13 study

Aww brethren, we know how the world just loves the image of Lord Jesus as a baby, or that totally peaceful, faded out soft, weakish, shy, timid kind of guy with a dopey (supposedly beatific) look, whispering soporific homilies, with little sheep or lambs.

However, we know the real Jesus that the Bible declares:  Mt 10:34Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. 35For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law. 36And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

37He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. 38And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me. 39He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.

Jesus accepts no neutrality, He attracts the hot and rejects the cold, He will absolutely never compromise His word with anyone or anything. Jesus is brash, fierce, bold, in your face, He speaks with power, and absolute all authority, to small and great the same. Jesus fears no man, no thing, no creature period.

Brothers and sisters, it is evident that Lord Jesus’s mouth did not drop open in surprise at being rejected by His own people. Jesus is God and man, He was with them, as God the Son preexistent and witnessed their unfaithfulness time after time throughout their history, and knew they had not changed. He answered them seemingly in an impartial way: 57And they were offended in him. But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, save in his own country, and in his own house.

This chapter of the Bible, dearly beloveds, does not tell us whether Jesus, became enraged, hurt, disappointed, shocked, or even sickened? (Feel free to select any, all or none of these things you might have felt about what happened here).

It is earlier that Mark lets us know how Lord Jesus felt: Mar 6:6 And he marvelled because of their unbelief. And he went round about the villages, teaching.

Indeed, holy people, many also might wonder how is it possible that these Jews whom God had given all His teachings for hundreds of years, to ensure that they would believe in and be prepared for the coming Messiah, could after meeting Him still remain in unbelief?

It would be a mistake to think that Jesus was impartial in His statement. It should fill the heart with dread and make the blood curdle of any unbeliever to whom Lord Jesus would make such a statement.

Brothers and sisters, let us give perpetual thanks, and praises to our Father God, who first trusted in Christ and sent Him to be the complete atonement for our sins, that all who believe through faith in Him will receive the free gift of salvation, and eternal blessings as the children of God.

The people that Jesus returned to in His hometown might not have known the name of the Messiah to come, but as mentioned earlier, holy people, they had all the prophets, they had the promises of God in Abraham; they had the covenants, they had the sacred writings, they had the Law; they had John the Baptists, wherein they were well prepared by God to be ready to receive the promised coming Messiah.

Instead of rejoicing and receiving the promised Messiah Jesus Christ, they rejected Him because of His low economic status (in their eyes) and saw Him as someone of such a low class that regardless of what He preached, although it astonished them, it still had no value in their eyes. The fact that His family were of low status as they also saw themselves, confirmed their (wrongful) opinion.

Secondly, they well understood that Lord Jesus came with God’s promised message of the gospel that would bring in a new eternal world order that would save and reconcile both Jew and gentile believers as one in God: Gal 3:8

And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed.

Gal 3:28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

These Jews, along with the corrupt Levitical priesthood saw this and Lord Jesus as a threat to their Nation, a loss of their identity, their power, and a threat to continuing their corrupt living-they were having none of that nor Him. So, we find the Jews continuing their uber- frank, incendiary confrontational contempt for the only Saviour to His face: 55Is not this the carpenter's son? is not his mother called Mary? and his brethren, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas? 56And his sisters, are they not all with us? Whence then hath this man all these things?

They insulted Lord Jesus’ family, including His mother. Raise your hand, brethren if you can remember the school yard fights that broke out when one kid bad mouthed another kid’s mother-I raised mine. Sadly, we see even today that many full-grown adults will take serious issue with anyone disrespecting their mothers.

Now, we know, dearly beloveds, that there are some among us who would need at least ten men to hold them back from dealing with anyone insulting their mothers. However, the God man and Lord Jesus Christ we find always in perfect control and self control, let Him be our example.

What will Lord Jesus, the Son of God, say to them and why?

53And it came to pass, that when Jesus had finished these parables, he departed thence. 54And when he was come into his own country, he taught them in their synagogue, insomuch that they were astonished,…

Holy brethren, we cannot help but notice that the false imaginary, man-made, soft, unmanly, milquetoast-ish, weak looking Jesus that some paint, appears nowhere in scripture. The truth is that Jesus Christ is the only Alpha male who ever walked the earth. He is the mold from which all others were taken:  Rev 1:8 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord…

Lord Jesus presents His message of the gospel full, raw, point blank, explicit, explosive, exclusive, exhaustive, final, eternal, and complete. He is not afraid of people, never tips toes around any of His message to offend as few people as possible. It was irrelevant to Lord Jesus that some would take offense at His message, He still gave it.

Think about this, dearly beloveds, raise your hand if you knew you were going to go and tell someone something and they were not going to accept it, would you not have something of a chip on your shoulder and be tempted not to go at all, or even if you did go would you not feel something of a grudge/insult and think to give as little information as possible and so as to leave and have done with it?

Thanks be to God that Jesus is faithful. He went knowing beforehand that His own people would reject Him: Jhn 1:11-10; Isa 53:3; a people with a long history of resistance to the will and absolute leadership of God:  Act 7:51.

Lord Jesus the Prophet returning to His own is The Prophet like no other: Heb 1:1-2. Moses said of Lord Jesus:  Act 3:23

And it shall come to pass, that every soul, which will not hear that prophet, shall be destroyed from among the people.

God commands us to tell people the truth and not water down the gospel message- the Lamb is a Lion. It is far better while we live to believe and receive the Lamb of God rather than die or at His return to earth to meet the Lion of Juda.

 53And it came to pass, that when Jesus had finished these parables, he departed thence. 54And when he was come into his own country, he taught them in their synagogue, insomuch that they were astonished…

Jesus knew what was going on in the synagogues. By the time of Jesus, the Levitical priesthood was corrupt and in it for the money. Instead of feeding the sheep they were fleecing the sheep, even stealing the homes of poor widows: Luk 19:46;  Luk 20:47. The Levitical priesthood had no low to which they would not go, even to the point of plotting the murder of the very One who had come to save them.  They were living so lavishly off the people that at least one even had a palace (Jhn 18:15).; Any new converts were corrupted by them as well: Mat 23:15.

The fact that the people were astonished shows that Lord Jesus held nothing back. However, the people did not like the package that the message came in. Jesus did not have fine clothing on, was not a handsome man, did not have riches  so the people asked: 54…. and said, Whence hath this man this wisdom, and these mighty works? 

Raise your hand, brethren, if some among us would not have been tempted to say to them “ duh where else can this kind of wisdom and mighty works come from but God, as He foretold you in the holy writings”.

Brothers and sisters, we know that we are fed and built up spiritually by God’s word, through preaching/teaching, Bible study, meditating on the word privately and with others. We know all its teachings are as relevant today as it was from the beginning, and forever in teaching us how to please God and do His will.

We have to keep telling everyone continually this absolute truth, brethren: IT IS IMPOSSIBLE FOR GOD TO LIE. Therefore, when presented with the absolute inerrant truth of scripture, it trumps everyone and every false doctrine that contradicts it. Therefore, those who unrepentantly refuse to believe God’s eternal truth have no excuse; Rom 1:20/  1Jo 5:10.

There are some, dearly beloveds, who teach falsely/ or ignorantly that no one can know God nor His will. The inerrant truth is that God made it clear from the old to the New Testament that we can and He wants us to know His will as well as to know and understand Him:  Isa 43:10

Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me.

Jer 31:34

And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.

The revealed will of God and our understanding and knowledge of Him is fully realized in the manifestation and reality of the New Testament of Jesus Christ, and confirmed in the old testament: Eph 1:9

Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself:

 Heb 8:11

And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest.

Through faith in Lord Jesus Christ, He guarantees all believers shall know Him. When Lord Jesus was on earth He taught in the physical synagogue or temple; however, now He teaches and indwells along with God and the Holy Spirit in the spirit of every believer:  1Co 3:16

Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?

Jhn 17:21

That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.

It’s all up close and deeply personal now, we are all in the Trinity and the Trinity in us; therefore, there can be no separation of any kind whatsoever for all eternity.

Let’s get back to Mt. chapter 13

Beginning at verse 53, dearly beloveds, we find Lord Jesus returning to His own country. The Bible gave us the background or back story of the Jews from their creation by God.

The nation of Israel had a great advantage over the gentile, they had the oracles of God. They had the Law written by the finger of God. They had the written history of God with mankind. They had those who witnessed the delivery of Israel from Pharaoh as God showed up, showed off, and threw down Egypt the world’s mightiest military at that time. They had the mighty prophets, who through the Holy Spirit, without error told them that the Messiah  that would come would be humble: They had Jesus:  1Co 10:4; Acts 7: 44;  Our fathers had the tabernacle of witness in the wilderness, as he had appointed, speaking unto Moses, that he should make it according to the fashion that he had seen. 45Which also our fathers that came after brought in with Jesus into the possession of the Gentiles, whom God drave out before the face of our fathers, unto the days of David..

They were taught all of them- the Messianic mission and that their Messiah would come humbly to them Zech 9: 9.

Many enjoy reading stories of towns honoring and celebrating the return of a successful hometown man. However, as we go into the final verses of this chapter, we will find neither honor nor celebration of Lord Jesus, who had done great and marvelous things no man on earth had ever done returning to His own.

52Then said he unto them, Therefore every scribe which is instructed unto the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is an householder, which bringeth forth out of his treasure things new and old.

Treasure: the place in which good and precious things are collected and laid up; a casket, coffer, or other receptacle, in which valuables are kept; a treasury; storehouse, repository, the things laid up in a treasury, collected treasures.

 Mat 6:21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

Luk 6:45 A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.

Brothers and sisters, thank God for His everlasting mercy and love to us and all who believe. Let Him be our perpetual comfort, stability, and peace in a sinful and dying world. Bless the Lord Jesus Christ for all His benefits. Most of us understand and know that Lord Jesus the Saviour God/Man lives in us and hears our prayers as well as being our Advocate in Heaven before the throne of God. I had to share with a man claiming falsely/ignorantly that Jesus is just a man now confined to heaven before the throne of God and can’t hear our prayers anymore. The gentleman graciously, and quickly received the truth of scripture that I shared with Him: 1Jo 5:14

And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:  15

And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.

Obviously, God’s will mean as laid out and correctly interpreted in scripture.

Raise your hand if you have ever been ignorant of some things in scripture-I raised both of mine. God isn’t angry at us due to ignorance. However, the righteous will repent/receive correction, but the wicked never will. Lord Jesus is equal to and God the Son and is immeasurably/ absolutely well able to hear our prayers that we pray to Him, in line with the truth of scripture and we are completely confident that He will answer.

Let us keep hammering away continually, brethren, GOD NEVER LIES so there is no reason to sit in doubt over the truth that He declares in His eternal word, so let us be quick to obey Him. It is a remarkable thing that Lord Jesus refers to those in the word as being like a householder and the instructions received by us from God as treasure.  Therefore, we can have the greatest confidence that our hearts are good and right with God. It is awesome how Lord Jesus encourages us to understand and take His instructions and teachings intimately, personally as true eternal treasure of and from Him deeply into our hearts, and minds.

We can draw up our old teachings/instructions etc. in His word that aided us, and we learned by experience the efficacy of them so that we do not have to keep reinventing the wheel in understanding how to act upon the word and use it in similar situations, circumstances, or conditions. We can draw out with full confidence that these stored old teachings/instructions are able to teach and help others, knowing that obedience to God’s word shows us our trust in Him and our trust in the unfailing efficacy of His word. Likewise, holy people, we can do the same with the new fresh treasures that we have also stored in our hearts/minds and bring them to remembrance to enjoy or whenever the need for ourselves and to share with others.

I have found, dearly beloveds, that some of my new treasures are out of  those old treasures that have been refreshed, better refined through a more complete understanding of Lord Jesus’ teachings.  I suspect that most of the problems we have in our behaviors and interactions is due to not understanding God’s word, or failure to trust in His word enough to obey it. But thanks be to God saints (G40 hagios) we do better when we learn better. We know that without Jesus we can do nothing. We can absolutely count on Lord Jesus to teach us and safely guide, guard, correct and lead us in every way in this life.

47Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a net, that was cast into the sea, and gathered of every kind: 48Which, when it was full, they drew to shore, and sat down, and gathered the good into vessels, but cast the bad away. 49So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just, 50And shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

51Jesus saith unto them, Have ye understood all these things? They say unto him, Yea, Lord. 

Holy people, we know that it is an absolute eternal fact- God absolutely cannot and absolutely will not ever lie. So, the whole world must pay strict attention and heed His words. These parables, we understand, brethren, are coming directly from the mouth of God the Son Jesus Christ Himself. There are all kinds of people creating a phony Jesus and plastering all kinds of names over His gospel that they like, which is no gospel at all.

However, that iconic manmade fluffy, soft, sugar sweet, we are all God’s children, touchy feely, warm and fuzzy, wishy washy, you poor things I understand you are but flesh, saved sinners Jesus does not appear here.

Jesus frankly wants us to understand too who He is and that He will never compromise, His word. Me, you, us, the entire world will stand before this God/Man Jesus Christ based on our personal responsibility and accountability based on our personal response to His gospel, which is found in its entirety with its blessings and rewards for the righteous and its curses and punishment for the wicked, and the absolute forbidding of anyone to add or take away from it.

No, brethren, we know the real Jesus of the Bible is here. He is not playing around. There are those who this twist scripture: Heb 12:2

Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

To mean in error, that Jesus has gone away to heaven and cannot hear prayers from earth, but left men in charge. This is a false teaching that denies the deity of God the Son Jesus Christ. It is true His glorified physical body is in heaven; however, His Spirit is as omniscient, omnipotent and omnipresent as God the Father. Jesus God the Son is equal to God the Father and God the Holy Spirit in fact all three are co equal.

God the Son Jesus, God the Father and God the Holy Spirit are eternally one AND INSEPARABLE.  Jesus is appointed the Head of the church, is active and living in His people along with God and the Holy Spirit, all of them working synergistically together over the church of God. Holy people there is no such thing as a long-distance Shepherd of the flock. Feel free to study further on your own of the activity of the Triune God in heaven and on earth.

Let us faithfully, believe, trust, love, obey and serve our Lord and Saviour now, knowing that even at death or at His appearing we will be found rejoicing in Him.  Those who are found unrepentant at death or at His coming their eternal damnation and doom is sure. Yes, God is love AND TRUTH, however He commands us to understand and preach the terror of Him too.

 2Co 5:11

Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences.

Brothers and sisters, again and again as God commands us- while the door of salvation is still open let us give the good news to all we can. Let us take it out into the world. Let us give the whole gospel message, whether people accept it or not- that is between them and God. Most of us believe without doubting the truth of scripture.

Yet, brethren, God certainly knows that there are some among us who still waver, still doubt, still try to mix the law with grace, and wannabe Jews, dressing in weird garb, in error teaching Christians to keep the law and Jewish festivals and rituals in error believing that Christians have become Israel and replaced the Jews; although the Bible cries all to all from old to New testament that upon salvation all believers are placed  by God under grace through faith in Jesus Christ, upon salvation both believing Jews and gentiles retain their separate ethnicity, but both are one and equal in Jesus Christ the Bible expounds this very clearly: NO DIFFERENCE IN GOD BETWEEN BELIEVING JEW AND GENTILE:  Act 15:9; Rom 3:22; Rom 10:12. 

44Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field.

45Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls: 46Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it.

These parables, brethren, show the naked, open, fervent, zealous mega-intent and determination that we too are commanded to have regarding our salvation. These men were not casual in their search, they knew nothing that  they had exceeded nor could exceed the value of the great treasure or pearl they had found. They were not lackadaisical, hesitant, or slow, but took deliberate action in deciding what they had to do to gain the great treasure/pearl  they had found.

Neither did they ponder what people might think of what they did to acquire the treasure and pearl of great price that they had found.

These parables of Lord Jesus are not teaching that we should keep the gospel message to ourselves, but showing the attitude and fervor that we must have in laying hold upon, boldly seizing and taking the gospel of Jesus Christ  personally for ourselves in our innermost being-at all costs to us, for it is eternally worthy.

These men, holy people, were ruthless in their pursuit, had their minds made and their hearts are fixed on the kingdom of God. There is no playing around, these men with mega enthusiasm, total resolve, faith understood, boldly grasped, fully entered the kingdom, setting aside earthly concepts of wealth and happiness, for the only lasting eternal wealth and happiness to be found in Lord Jesus Christ.

Brothers and sisters, we know that the time attention and care that we devote to a thing is a good indication and sure evidence of our valuation of it. Deciding, measuring, weighing, comparing/ contrasting: Treasure vs trash, valuable vs valueless, in each parable these men showed the swift correct ordering of the mind and heart in understanding that our earthly possessions are mere valueless trinkets that wise men (and women too) gladly sell all to obtain the true eternal, unsurpassed treasure of heaven our One Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

In laying aside that which is temporal,brethren. we lay aside our personal moral compass, our personal standard for what is right and what is wrong, our personal valuations of people, things, even our worldly concepts of world order, in exchange for the steadfast, immoveable, unshakeable, unconquerable, kingdom of God where truth is established forever, firmly in the gospel in the face of Lord Jesus Christ: Mat 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Brothers and sisters, thanks, blessings, honor and glory to our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, and for the faithful who continue to bring forth His message of eternal salvation to anyone who will believe and obey Him. Therefore, we stand in eternal awe, and gratefulness to our God and King for all He has done for us.

The sanitized gospel is just as dangerous as any false gospel and is just another clever perversion of the true gospel. It leaves Christians ignorant of the fiery trials they can and will go through.

However, let all who believe, brethren, teach and preach the whole comprehensive gospel- that it is God’s plan open to all who will believe, has a limited time frame, upon the fullness of the gentiles and Israel (believing Jews) is complete at the first coming of Lord Jesus-He will take away His people out of danger; Jesus will return in judgement, a flying angel will preach the gospel and certain others will be sent by God to witness to all the world- men will either submit or die; all world systems will collapse, the stars will fall from heaven, all nations shall fall into heaps, and the sun will be used to punish men along with numerous plagues from God upon the wicked on earth; this will be an open and bloodiest war on the wicked never seen before on earth, a relentless war on earth between God and the devil and his kids, which God will win; lying spirits and false prophets cast into the lake of fire, the devil bound for a certain period and Jesus’ triumphant victory and reign in JERUSELEM with His people on earth for a certain period, then the devil released to gather his evil kids to attempt a final attack on the Lord and His children, but God promptly  kills the devil and his kids, then comes the Lord's final eternal judgement and destruction of the wicked in the lake of fire with the devil, and God's final rewards for believers. All this will culminate in God’s total annihilation of this present earth, and the creation of a new earth wherein only the righteous will live in the presence of God. Let us keep saying this eternal truth : God has declared absolutely that this present earth has no future.

We know and the Bible teaches us that the enemy of God, the devil is active and absolutely evil, and along with his kids is active in various degrees, operating in all professions, occupations, the ordinary walks of life, who trouble the righteous and even the whole of humanity. There might be some who dismiss the truth of this, however it will get increasingly harder for them to do so in the face of crimes of all kinds and levels from street crimes to white collar crimes, going through the roof of the nations including ours.

They will not be able to ignore the increasing demand for law officers, barred doors, homes, alarms, and security measures in communities, government offices, whole neighborhoods abandoning homes and apartments fleeing from evil people, and even our food is being packaged to thwart tampering by those seeking to harm others.

Evil people are troubling this nation to such a degree that even now an agency in the National Institute of Health is studying evil people with criminal records to see why they are so evil, but frankly admit they have no way to cure it. However, Christians know why, and that most evil people manage to evade capture and do as much harm in secret as they do openly. Holy people we also know that Jesus Christ will render just compensation to the devil and His children:  Rom 12:19.

Brethren, the Bible from the old to the New Testament gives complete details in recognizing and dealing with the devil and his children. Feel free to study this further on your own. Lord Jesus warned us: Mat 24:12

And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.

Brothers and sisters do not allow your love of God and His eternal truth to diminish or grow cold, but continue in the absolute, unchanging love and truth of God. Ro:37

Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.

Regardless of the devil and his children God always wins, Rev 20:10;Rev 20:15.  

1Co 15:57But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Mt chapter 13 study

Brothers and sisters, how great is God our Father and His Son our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Let us worship and praise God for His love, mercy, and faithfulness to all who believe and obey Him. As God’s holy family let us continually minister His love, comfort, and care to one another and praise His Name always.

Thanks be to God, brothers, and sisters, for the under shepherds and the body general for preaching the whole gospel of Jesus Christ. Those who preach a “sanitized” gospel do nothing to teach and strengthen Christians and hinder them from understanding how to face the challenge and gain the victory in the trials, tribulations, trouble, and persecutions all Christians will suffer at some point in their lives.

God has a purpose to build us up even in our persecutions, troubles, and tribulations which stem directly from the children of the devil who hate God and His people:

2 Thes 1: 4So that we ourselves glory in you in the churches of God for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that ye endure:

5Which is a manifest token of the righteous judgment of God, that ye may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which ye also suffer: 6Seeing it is a righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to them that trouble you; 7And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, 8In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: 9Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power; 10When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day. 11Wherefore also we pray always for you, that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfil all the good pleasure of his goodness, and the work of faith with power: 12That the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you, and ye in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.

 2Ti 3:12 Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution.

Rom 8:18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.

There are people who have been tricked by the devil into believing false doctrines. They may seem like terrible people to us nevertheless, if possible, we should give the gospel message, perhaps they will believe it and be saved. There is nothing in scripture that promotes a special campaign focused only on such persons. But when we meet such, we should not withhold the gospel message.

2 Ti 2: 24And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient, 25In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth; 26And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.

Jude 1 21Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. 22And of some have compassion, making a difference: 23And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.

God has made it clear that He alone has the authority to condemn, punish and purge out the children of the devil forever in the lake of fire. Christians are forbidden to seek out and destroy the children of the devil, first they might make a mistake, and harm the child of God and or save the child of the devil. It is impossible for God to make a mistake He will punish the wicked and save the righteous without error.

God has established authorities to punish and deal with the children of the devil in the world, and we may utilize the assistance of earthly authorities also in dealing with them. Holy people God declares that we are not to seek revenge upon them, however, He declares we can know them and deal with them according to His word:

1 John 3:7Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous. 8He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. 9Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. 10In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.

Amp1 Jhn 3: 7Little children (believers, dear ones), do not let anyone lead you astray. The one who practices righteousness [the one who strives to live a consistently honorable life--in private as well as in public--and to conform to God’s precepts] is righteous, just as He is righteous. 8The one who practices sin [separating himself from God, and offending Him by acts of disobedience, indifference, or rebellion] is of the devil [and takes his inner character and moral values from him, not God]; for the devil has sinned and violated God’s law from the beginning. The Son of God appeared for this purpose, to destroy the works of the devil. 9No one who is born of God [deliberately, knowingly, and habitually] practices sin, because [a]God’s seed [His principle of life, the essence of His righteous character] remains [permanently] in him [who is born again--who is reborn from above--spiritually transformed, renewed, and set apart for His purpose]; and he [who is born again] cannot habitually [live a life characterized by] sin, because he is born of God and longs to please Him. 10By this the children of God and the children of the devil are clearly identified: anyone who does not practice righteousness [who does not seek God’s will in thought, action, and purpose] is not of God, nor is the one who does not [unselfishly] [b]love his [believing] brother.

Mt chapter 13 study

Dearly beloveds, praise God for the gift of His glorious Son Jesus Christ our wonderful Lord and Saviour who has given Himself for us in His love and mercy. What a blessing that we can fellowship with Him and one another. How pleasant it is for us to greet one another, comfort one another and minister His love to one another.

36Then Jesus sent the multitude away, and went into the house: and his disciples came unto him, saying, Declare unto us the parable of the tares of the field. 37He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man; 38The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one; 39The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels. 40As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world. 41The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; 42And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth. 43Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.

Brothers and sisters, it is impossible for God to lie. God is absolute truth when He tells us anything we better listen, we must quickly take it to heart.

Saints, (G40 hagios), most of us know that there are children of the devil, but it is possible that some among us find this study truly horrifying to know that the children of the devil exist. Yet, let none of us look away, we must look at it from God’s perspective. Evil people trouble the whole earth and hate God and His people among others. Even now world governments meet to try and formulate plans on how to deal with the growing problem of evil people on earth, although they might call evil people deviants, or psycho and or social paths.

In the world there are gurus, and pundits who claim they can cure evil people. There are also those who claim evil people belong within the category of mental illness. However, the criminal justice system holds evil people accountable for their deeds and reject rehabilitation or mental health treatment for them because it is held that they have no cure.

It’s a mistake, holy people, to think that evil people usually wind up behind bars, because a great many do not. Nor are they all poor or so-called lower class, because the rich and the middle class are among them too and every color. We must come back to standing up and being rooted in the everlasting truth of the word of God- evil people do not want a cure, This is the essential core of the incurability of evil.

The children of the devil are without natural affection, they are only interested in their own welfare,(2Ti 3:3 ); beguiling and unstable, (  2Pe 2:14). They are adept liars, and deceivers, in their very heart is greed, murder and every evil work.

God describes them in His word as: anti Christs, haters of God, (  Rom 1:30); haters of all that are good; children of the wicked one, ( Mat 13:38; Jde 1:10); children of the devil, (1Jo 3:10); brute beasts, (2Pe 2:12); dogs, ( Phl 3:2), wolves, ( Luk 10:3) etc.

Dearly beloveds, although evil people can be charming and mannered it is a thin veil covering an animal like nature in heart and mind of those who willfully and unrepentantly live according to their animal lusts. They can conceal their true nature, to avoid unfavorable consequences, but their true nature eventually comes out, yet they will still try to make excuses for it. They are incapable of shame or guilt.

We should not preach a false Jesus who just loves everybody and understands we are all sinners who have no accountability or responsibility to HIm for our deeds, so we will all get to go to heaven. Nor should we ever teach or preach a false Jesus who is so full of tender mercy, love, and kindness that he would never punish anybody, because he would not want to hurt anybody’s feelings. Here is what the real Jesus our Lord and Saviour clearly declares: Ma 3:12 Whose fan is in his hand, and he will throughly purge his floor, and gather his wheat into the garner; but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.

34All these things spake Jesus unto the multitude in parables; and without a parable spake he not unto them:

35That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things which have been kept secret from the foundation of the world.

Brothers and sisters, Our Lord and Saviour absolutely fulfilled every prophecy spoken about Him and proved in every way that He is the true and only sinless saviour. In His mercy, Jesus preached the gospel to everyone, He even preached to those who couldn’t understand it because they thought it was a joke, a light thing, nothing to be taken seriously. However, to them that believe the gospel its message will take root in them and bring forth godly fruit without fail.

Brothers and sisters, there are those who mock and falsely brand all Christians as too heavenly minded and of no earthly good. Those who say these things about Christians are condemning them for their fervent faith demonstrated in all they say and do. Nowhere in the Bible does it teach that it is wrong to be heavenly minded. Nowhere in the Bible does it teach that those having God’s perspective of the world fail to be of any use of doing good in it. Instead, the Bible teaches: Rom 8:6

For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

 1Co 2:16 For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.

Most certainly, brethren, no Christians should ever be misled to think that their faith is a life that is self-isolated totally private in nature, disconnected from other believers and from carrying out the gospel message along with doing good for all that we can in the world. Anyone who operates in this way did not get it from the Bible which has no such teachings.

Christians do all the good that they can, however, the gospel is not a social gospel focused only on fixing the ills of the world. We know that we can help improve some things in the world but nothing we do will cure the world of all its ills. Yet, the secular world is always looking for ways of saving the earth, while futurists paint glowing pictures of a wildly advanced future earth where disease is gone and people either live extra long lives or transfer into new bodies where men might avoid death altogether. However, holy people we know the truth: THIS PRESENT EARTH HAS NO FUTURE:

 2Pe 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. 11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, 12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?

13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

We know, holy people, because God has told us all that there is a day and a time fixed when the Door of salvation (Jhn 10:9) will be PERMANTLY SHUT FOREVER. We don’t know when, only God does. it is therefore with urgency we must do all that we can to actually live the gospel in word and deed, and to spread the gospel message to all that we can. Yes, we must work, raise families, enjoy what we have, but let us not allow any of it to cause us to put teaching and sharing the gospel on the back burner.  

God teaches us in His word, holy people, that there are absolutely evil people. It shocks the senses for most of us to think of any human as being totally devoid of good, and consciously, intentionally, willingly, and totally evil. While, evil people are never benign, some do greater evil than others. When exposed they can appear remorseful, but this is all an act. Do not expect evil people to be remorseful, feel guilt, or change in any manner whatsoever:  2Ti 3:13 But evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived.

Evil people look like everyone else, but sometimes they look better than average. They can and do hide behind seemingly good works, and some can and do pretend to be Christians: 2: Cor 11: 13For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. 14And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. 15Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.

Mt 12: 35…. an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.

Evil people hate God, and God’s people. When anyone unrepentantly turns their back on God there is no low level to which they will not go in doing evil against God’s people and others out of the enjoyment of it. Evil people are parasites who will do anything for gain, and tend to  use and drain people physically and emotionally and on many levels.

Brothers and sisters, let us continually put our trust in God our Father and His Son Jesus Christ our Saviour, who has made us new creations in Him, filled us with the Holy Spirit and saved and delivered us from the wrath of God to come:

  (Rom 5:9; 1Th 1:10; 1Th 5:9.

Be of good cheer, holy people, have confidence in God, and rejoice always in the Lord for the joy of our great Lord, who is our blessed assurance, is our eternal strength. Even as Lord Jesus has said so let us do: Luk 12:32

Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.

AMP Luke 12:  32Do not be afraid and anxious, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.

The wrath of God to come upon those who reject salvation is a part of the whole gospel message of Jesus Christ our Lord. God forbids us to leave out any part of the whole gospel message, and we dare not leave any of it out. We dare not fail to warn all men everywhere that this world will most certainly end and there will be a day, a day like no other day on earth that has ever been nor will be again: 2Pe 3:10;  2Pe 3:12. Let  us through sharing and living the gospel urge all men to come into the kingdom of God, while the door is still open.

31Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is like to a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and sowed in his field: 32Which indeed is the least of all seeds: but when it is grown, it is the greatest among herbs, and becometh a tree, so that the birds of the air come and lodge in the branches thereof.

(Luke 13:20-21)

33Another parable spake he unto them; The kingdom of heaven is like unto leaven, which a woman took, and hid in three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened.

Jesus only tells the truth all the time without error. We know that only God’s word and obedience to it can build up His people. Some look to gimmicks, new techniques, music, drama, events etc., in hopes of building up the church. However the wise in heart trust in the Lord, in His wisdom, power and love, that He alone will and can build up His church in His word: AMP 2 Ti:16All Scripture is God-breathed [given by divine inspiration] and is profitable for instruction, for conviction [of sin], for correction [of error and restoration to obedience], for training in righteousness [learning to live in conformity to God’s will, both publicly and privately--behaving honorably with personal integrity and moral courage]; 17so that the [a]man of God may be complete and proficient, outfitted and thoroughly equipped for every good work.

God’s word trans 2 Ti: 16Every Scripture passage is inspired by God. All of them are useful for teaching, pointing out errors, correcting people, and training them for a life that has God's approval. 17They equip God's servants so that they are completely prepared to do good things.

Jesus is our true vine whom we can do nothing without. He feeds, and ministers to us in His word, building up His kingdom in us. When we trust, obey, and apply the word to our lives- in our character, conduct, conversation, in public and in private He strengthens us and grows us in His wisdom. He makes us stable in an unstable world and settled in unsettling times.
