RECOVERY

Brothers and sisters, some addicts outside of the church are sent into, or are in the church having been sent by the courts, or some treatment centers, or some people claiming God heals addictions. Again, the addict may likely arrive having been taught by these, that they are victims of their addictions and have no free will. However, we know, holy brethren, these are false claims not found in scripture.  God commands us to stick to the truth and the authority of the Bible as finalized in the inerrant truth of the new covenant of Jesus Christ. No one has power authority from God to convert the gospel of Jesus Christ into the world’s treatment center for various addictions.

According to a NIDA funded study:

Caffeine, for example, like many drugs, caffeine is chemically addictive, a fact that scientists established back in 1994. This past May, with the publication of the 5th edition of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM), caffeine withdrawal was finally included as a mental disorder for the first time—even though its merits for inclusion are symptoms that regular coffee-drinkers have long known well from the times they’ve gone off it for a day or more

Suddenly, without the drug, the altered brain chemistry causes all sorts of problems, including the dreaded caffeine withdrawal headache.

The good news is that, compared to many drug addictions, the effects are relatively short-term. To kick the thing, you only need to get through about 7-12 days of symptoms without drinking any caffeine, and your addiction will be broken if you tolerate the discomfort due to the absence of the drug in the system.

Brethren, we cannot fail to notice that according to the scientist, the cure for caffeine addiction is not effectuated through any form of psychological treatment although caffeine addiction is considered to be among the mental disorders. How strange they do not apply this knowledge of breaking caffeine addiction to drug addict and alcoholic relapse due to intense cravings resulting from the absence of intoxicant in the system, as a refusal to tolerate the inevitable discomfort of the process in breaking the addiction. It is understood that alcohol and drugs can cause serious problems requiring medical treatment to avert death or injury.

However, brethren, all the recommended treatments documented for the victim of addictions without free will, all contain the element of cessation from, or reducing the addicts use of intoxicants. Stranger still is that although the scientist claim addictions are incurable, they have yet to establish any medical programs to maintain the addict or alcoholic on controlled doses that might be useful in harm reduction.

We, the people of God are in the world, but are all of an entirely different kingdom, the only one that is great and will last forever. We know it is best, as God commands, to put our trust in God. God is absolute truth, wisdom and love. God never lies, makes mistakes, or errors, never deceives, and is utterly trust worthy forever.

The new covenant of Jesus Christ, brothers and sisters, again was never established by God to be used by mankind as a secular treatment center focused solely on healing all of the various and sundry addictions of the world. The Bible sets the eternal standard for the only good kinds of  addictions acceptable and honoring to God: 1Co 16:15 I beseech you, brethren, (ye know the house of Stephanas, that it is the firstfruits of Achaia, and that they have addicted themselves to the ministry of the saints,) 16 That ye submit yourselves unto such, and to every one that helpeth with us, and laboureth.

Addicted: to appoint on one's own responsibility or authority, to ordain, purpose or focus intentionally in an orderly manner on helping those in need. Here the Bible clearly references addiction as a choice.

It is entirely futile and a losing battle to argue with God. The Bible does not mention drugs but it does clearly condemn excess and commands sobriety. It does not take a degree in science to know that anyone who habitually abuses alcohol or drugs cannot be considered sober while under the influence.

Sober minded: to be of sound mind, to be in one's right mind, to exercise self -control, to curb one's passions.

Jas 1:13 Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man: 4 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. 15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.

Addictions are just some of the many sins in the world and there is nothing special about them, nor does the Bible teach that people are incapable of overcoming them. Jesus Christ did not shed His sinless blood, die bodily on the cross and rise again from the dead for all eternity to save people from one type of sin or only certain types of sins.

Dearly beloveds, recall to mind the regretful gentleman who greatly desired to get his life back, having realized his own hands had destroyed his life. This new life he desired would be entirely different from the one that had led him on a path of destruction. What a wonderful thing, brethren, for anyone to desire a new life of being free from addictions, truly living, thriving, growing, being constructive, turning from rather than continuing in making life shattering mistakes. The thing is he didn’t know how he could obtain this new life, but remained very hopeful that somehow, he would do it.

Brothers and sisters, we know people like this man are coming to and now are even in the church.

Many of them, holy people, have been exposed to the false god of recovery- of God is what you alone make Him or it to be, along with government scientists among others, firmly diagnosing addictions as being a disease that also impacts mentally, declaring that it is not a sin, not a moral failing or weakness.  Therefore, they claim that all such persons are not accountable for having this so- called disease or any severe medical damage to themselves and/or the damaging behaviors to themselves and the public, resulting from periods of relapses, as the addicted are robbed of free will and choice by the disease.

Remember, brethren, the government diagnoses only came about when middle class white persons became addicted in great numbers, yet people of color and poor white people are routinely jailed for long periods of time without mercy. Much is being done to change the laws to prevent middle class white people from facing long prisons terms, and having a life ruining criminal record. They are given treatment rather than arrest, and those if arrested can have their records fully expunged in certain states. These changes in the law are taking place supposedly to aid and correct the injustices done to people of color and poor white people, yet they benefit little from these changes in the law. These changes primarily benefit middle class white people. It is not surprising for the rise of movements to legalize magic or psychedelic mushrooms mainly used by so called middle and upper classes. However, brothers and sisters, we should never forget the timeless wisdom of God our Maker. When men believed the world was flat and drew maps showing how far they could go before falling off, God’s testimony that the earth was a sphere was evident in the order of His heavenly bodies of the sun, moon, planets plainly seen in the heavens, and later plainly written in His word:  Isa 40:22 It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in.

Dearly beloveds, we know that God speaks to the addicted outside of the church and the whole world. He is not a man that can lie, or make mistakes, or deliberately seek to deceive. God will not discriminate against anyone because of their skin color, ethnic group, rich or poor, feeble or well, or whether they are fat or thin, beautiful or plain, for all of these things are totally irrelevant to Him.

God will receive all who come to Him for help. He is absolute truth and love. God will not counsel or teach the error of what the recovery movements, government scientist and churches paid by the government to treat addictions will teach- that addicts  suffer from a medical/mental disease, and bear no responsibility/ accountability for death/ injury to themselves and/or others through long term relapses; and that it is perfectly acceptable for addicts to risk death, and permanent disability that can arise from these chronic relapses. The problems of the addict are a great deal deeper and far more deadly than the addiction itself.

Holy people, again, there are many things our government does right, but in terms of applying justice equally without partiality not so much, which is common, although still not acceptable throughout world governments. Again, had our government dealt with drugs illegal and legal early on instead of racializing it to people of color, and class i.e. poor white people of the so-called lower classes we would not now have the level of problems with drugs as we do today. Sadly, dearly beloveds, our government continues its nasty conduct of preferential treatment of some above others regarding race and class; blacks and people of color continue to be routinely jailed. Our government, dearly beloveds, has studied people who have beaten addictions through their faith of which there are many without number. They have carefully researched what they think is faith. However, they have had no success in replicating or duplicating the effect of faith through science. Therefore,  government grants are given to faith-based organizations among others, who willingly choose to apply for them, to treat addicts, with restrictions as aforementioned. These IRS churches are willing to shut down the gospel for money and gain the opportunity to be salaried employees to line their pockets-but what profit, holy people, is there to such, to gain the whole world and lose their own souls. There is a terrible price to pay for being unrepentant lovers of money above love, trust and obedience to God. 

Nevertheless, brethren, all over the country countless Christians in groups and individuals are serving the needs of people and preaching the gospel without one cent of government money; God is continually supplying the needs of these faithful brothers and sisters to do God's work, mainly with volunteers. 

Brethren, we are not surprised by government failure to reproduce faith because the natural man can’t understand the things of God:  1Co 2:14.

Such churches of the IRS are false and not the true new covenant church of Lord Jesus Christ: The “spirituality”, of the hired for treatment service churches of the IRS have nothing to do with the truth of scripture: the  doctrines they teach the addict and the church clearly contradict scripture; that addiction is disease not sin. They strive to train the addict and the church, never to use the word sin when referring to alcoholism or drug addiction. They teach the church and the addict that addictions are not a choice or a free will thing. They promote and teach the addict and the church to accept relapses and the resultant misconduct of those under the influence as acceptable long-term, no matter how damaging.

Brothers and sisters, we know these are false doctrines found nowhere in the Bible, that if followed will lead to death or great harm to the addict and the public as well.

Lord Jesus Christ speaks to the churches: Luk 16:13

No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

REMEMBER JUDAS ISCARIOT

Again, holy people, no one is against taxes, for certainly our Lord and Saviour paid them. It would take a whole other study to more fully examine the IRS churches regarding their true nature within the framework of the gospel, and the constitutionality of their existence, but feel free to study this further on your own.

From the earliest beginnings, brothers and sisters, we know that God forbade the priests from charging money to do His service. To those priests who were in it for the money God spoke directly: Malachi 1:10 Who is there even among you that would shut the doors for nought? neither do ye kindle fire on mine altar for nought. I have no pleasure in you, saith the LORD of hosts, neither will I accept an offering at your hand.

Holy brethren, we know and fully understand that God left His witnesses for us to follow and know how to deal with any who forbid us to speak anything about God to people, or to offer us money to purchase from us some facet of God’s power. We got brother Daniel Dan 6:10; We got brothers: Dan 3:16Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego 17- 18, we got our brothers and apostles Peter and John: Acts 4: 18-20. When somebody offered money to purchase some facet of God’s power we got a fearless witness in brother Peter: Act 8:20 But Peter said unto him, Thy money perish with thee, because thou hast thought that the gift of God may be purchased with money.

What does the Lord command, holy people?: 2 Cor 6:14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? 15And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?

16And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. 17Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, 18And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

Saints (G40 hagios), what the true church of Jesus Christ has to offer to the whole world including the addict in or out of the church that is far better and different than that offered in the secular or world or the IRS churches is the unbeatable truth of God. This is because we know the power of God, the superior wisdom and the unbeatable power of God that we know cannot lie, for it is impossible for Him to lie, or make a mistake or commit error, according to the eternal inerrant Bible, not the word of mere men.
