1 JOHN 1:9 STUDY
NO SALVATION WITHOUT FAITH IN THE REAL JESUS CHRIST
Brothers and sisters, say it with me, blessings,
honor, thanks, and all praises to you Lord Jesus. We your priests under your
High Priesthood do come unto you to lavishly pour out the sweet sacrifices of our
love offerings, praise offerings and worship unto you Dread Sovereign Lord, with
all power and authority, invincible in power, undefeatable, unconquerable in
battle, the everlasting shield of your people, from whom no man nor creature
can ever pluck us from your All-Mighty hands.
Dearly beloveds we must conclude that 1: John
1: 9 means that the atoning work of Lord Jesus Christ is finished. The forgiveness of Jesus Christ is permanent and
forever for all sins past, present and future for every believer, along with
the entire removal of the penalty and guilt, has no expiration date, has no
need of any further sacrifices, and God the Father retains no remembrance or
record of them against us forever.
So now, saints (G40 hagios) let us look at
the remaining questions: How does the Bible instruct the Christian to live?
I know I have sinned or done wrong after I
was saved what do I do about that and why do I still do it at times?
We must look at these questions,
holy people within and through the general, specific and minutiae lens of the
inerrant truth of scripture, NEVER OUTSIDE OF IT. Our brother John the apostle unleashes
spiritual nukes which entirely obliterates the lie that the Christian remains a
sinner after salvation continually needing to make confession for his or her
sins. It is only within the context of John’s explicit, explosive, and for some
shocking, raw, graphic, unequivocal declarations that we can rightly interpret
and answer these questions.
1Jo 3:8 He
that committeth sin is of the devil; for the
devil sinneth from the beginning. For this
purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might
destroy the works of the devil.
1Jo 3:9 Whosoever is
born of God doth not commit
sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he
cannot sin, because he is born of God.
1Jo 3:10 In this the
children of God are manifest, and the children of
the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he
that loveth not his brother.
Stay tuned brethren

1 JOHN 1:9 STUDY
NO SALVATION WITHOUT FAITH IN THE REAL JESUS
CHRIST
Brothers and sisters, say it with me: all
blessings and praises, honors, glory, might, dominion, rulership and power be
to our unconquerable, unbeatable, undefeatable Lord and Saviour God the Son Jesus
Christ, and to God our Father and to God the Holy Spirit forever and ever more.
In resuming this study, and any study, holy
people, we ought to take great care and be extremely cautious never to paint a picture
of a false Jesus Christ who cannot save and has neither the eternal standard of
Himself for salvation as set by God the Father, nor His eternal determinate
boundary of scripture, but only mere manmade doctrines which pleases and sooths
men’s consciences, all the while displeasing and never accepted by God;
therefore, contradicting the doctrines of Christ.
We know, holy brethren, that our Lord and
Saviour Jesus Christ does not have any “frenemies”. What Jesus said from His
own lips: Mat 12:30 He
that is not with me is against me; and he
that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad.
Luk 11:23 He
that is not with me is against me: and he
that gathereth not with me scattereth.
Luk 19:27 But those mine enemies, which would not that
I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay them before me.
Act 3:23 And it
shall come to pass, that every soul, which will not hear that prophet, shall
be destroyed from
among the people.
Therefore, saints (G40 hagios) God expressly
throughout the whole of scripture forbids us or anyone to present the gospel as
though one had any option to twist, pervert, add to or take away from it and to
escape the punishment of God for doing so: Gal 1:8; Gal 1:9.
However, thanks be to God, dearly beloveds, that
even when we were His enemies Christ died for us and rose again so that all who
believe on Him would receive His everlasting forgiveness, reconciliation, and
peace with Him, through Him and by Him to the Father.
Having peace and reconciliation with God,
dearly beloveds let us look at the continuing questions: does the Christian
have two separate natures, or a combination of the sinful old man or carnal
nature melded with the new nature?
We have to take a hard look at this, dearly
beloveds, because only the truth of scripture regarding these things has any
acceptance or legitimacy in the sight of God, and His sight is the only one of
any relevance now or ever.
There is no question that there are some who
whether confusedly or purposefully teach Christians have either two natures or
a blend of both the old and the new nature. Either way this serves as their
false doctrine that the Christian cannot help sinning nor stop sinning because “sinless
perfection” is impossible and even after salvation “we are all sinners still”.
This turns people back to the Law or works
done away in Lord Jesus Christ, and keeps people locked in futile attempts to
overcome sin, so that they usually give up, some even identifying themselves by
the particular sin(s) to which they are in bondage, in ignorance of the power
given to Christians to live God’s way and not their own to overcome any sin.
We ought to stand with God’s eternal and
absolute truth in His word, brothers, and sisters, rather than personal
opinions or manmade doctrines. Yes, and Amen, it is never about works of
righteousness of our own but the eternal sinless perfection of Jesus Christ wherein
we are ushered into the very throne room of the Living God our Father, ( Heb 10:20), through
the final, finished and complete atoning work of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ,
who has gained the permanent forgiveness of all sins for all who believe and
obey Him.
Lord Jesus brings all believers into the
presence of God never as the DEAD
old or carnal man with a carnal or old DEAD nature but as an entirely new creation-new man, having
an eternal new holy nature.
Ro 6: 3Know ye not, that so
many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his
death? 4Therefore we are
buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from
the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of
life. 5For if we have
been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in
the likeness of his resurrection: 6Knowing this, that our old man is crucified
with him, that
the body of sin might
be destroyed, that
henceforth we should not serve sin. 7For he that is dead is freed
from sin.
Crucify: to crucify one, metaph. to crucify
the flesh, carnal or old nature, destroy its power utterly (the nature of the figure implying
that the destruction is attended with intense pain).
We must absolutely forever settle this as God
commands, brothers and sisters, even as it is settled forever by the power of God
and His Christ our Saviour: Ro. 8: 12Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh,
to live after the flesh.13For if ye live after the
flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the
body, ye shall live.
God declares absolutely that Christians have ONE
nature the new eternal living spiritual nature. We will look further into this
in the final questions of this study.

1 JOHN 1:9 STUDY
NO SALVATION WITHOUT FAITH IN THE REAL JESUS
CHRIST
Brothers and sisters, let us thank God for
His matchless gift of salvation in His sinless Son, Jesus Christ who gave
Himself for our sins, and have purchased all who believe thereby, and given us
as dear children to God and to one another that we should love God and one
another fervently.
Holy brethren, let us never forget and always
remember to always act upon the earth as priests whom God has made all of us by
through and under our High Priest, Lord, and Saviour Jesus Christ, as laid out
in His New Covenant rightly interpreted and lived publicly and privately.
We will look at these questions posed:
…and
does the Christian have two separate natures or a combination of the sinful old
man or carnal nature melded with the new nature?
Dearly beloveds, first let us look at the
issue of error in those who claim a person can be saved merely from ancestry,
or biblical scholarship, or Law to be saved, and those who conversely claim
that Jesus gave the church over to the saved gentiles, because the Jewish
nation failed to keep the covenant of the Law of Moses, done away in Jesus Christ.
Saints (G40 hagios), It is superfluous to
spend much time on this as it is written in the specific, the general, and in the minutiae that: Rom 3:9 What then? are
we better than they? No, in no wise: for we have
before proved both Jews and Gentiles, that they
are all under sin;
10As
it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:
Both Jew and gentile are reconciled by faith
in Jesus Christ as One body in Him: Eph 2:13
But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far
off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.
Eph 2:14 For he is our peace, who hath
made both one, and hath
broken down the middle wall of partition between us;
Eph 2:15Having
abolished in his flesh the
enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for
to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;
Eph 2:16 And that
he might reconcile both unto
God in one body by the cross, having
slain the enmity thereby:
God through faith in Jesus Christ, brings in all
believing gentiles into Israel as One body with our believing Jewish brothers
and sisters: so that now to make a long story short God declares: Rom 10:12
For there is no difference between the
Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over
all is rich unto all that call upon him.
BOTTON LINE ABSOLUTELY NO DIFFERENCE IN THE
SIGHT OF GOD BETWEEN JEW OR GENTILE. Therefore, dearly beloveds it behooves us
to make sure we stand with God on what He has declared for all time-no differences
between us brothers and sisters we are all one in Christ: Gal 3:28
There
is neither Jew nor Greek, there
is neither bond nor free, there
is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.
This does not mean all hold the same office,
but all are equal.
Holy brethren, Paul, for example, makes us
understand absolutely that there is no grace through an automatic meritocracy based
on mere ancestry whether of Jewish or being a descendent from a long line of
preachers, or even being a skilled scholar in some aspect of biblical knowledge.
Our brother, the apostle Paul had achieved a
high status, and was well received amongst His peers, He had been a Pharisee excelling
at teaching the Law, a Hebrew of Hebrews in a long heritage, a zealot in
persecuting the church although in ignorance.
God gives us the example of Paul. Paul
frankly tells everyone that when people make claims to salvation outside of
faith in Jesus Christ, they are in error manufacturing what they think is righteousness
based on heritage and/or works of some sort, instead of obeying the call of God
to righteousness by trusting completely in His sinless son and Saviour Jesus Christ.
Paul called his heritage and all of his
personal achievements etc. outside of Christ, as dung, to be cast off for the
excellency of the grace of Lord Jesus Christ: Phl 3:8
Yea doubtless, and I
count all things but loss for the
excellency of the knowledge of
Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered
the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I
may win Christ,
Holy people, some teach that when Paul used
the word dung, it was referencing animal excrement. We know this type of dung
is used in fertilizer from ancient times, but this is not the excrement Paul
was referencing, it was that of human origin that people, bury, discard, or
burn and never use to fertilize anything it is totally worthless.
Job 20:7
Yet he shall perish for
ever like his own dung: they which have seen him shall
say, Where is he?
Let us look to Christ alone in God, dearly
beloveds, He has absolutely forever supplied everything we need for faith and
righteousness in His atoning work.
Then, dearly beloveds, there are those who
argue about whether Jews will get more and the gentiles less or visa versa in
the kingdom of God. This needs to stop we know from Jesus’ own lips it is His
kingdom and He can do what He wants with it, as it is no mere man’s business whatsoever:
Mat 20:15
Is it not lawful for me to
do what I will with mine
own? Is thine eye evil, because I am good?

1 JOHN 1:9 STUDY
NO SALVATION WITHOUT FAITH IN THE REAL JESUS CHRIST
Brothers and sisters, thank God for our Lord
and Saviour Jesus Christ. Praise our Father God who first trusted in Christ,
that He would be faithful, obedient, true and would bring many children to God,
for His glory: Eph 1:12 - That we should
be to the praise of his glory, who first
trusted in Christ.
Dearly beloveds if God put His trust in His
Son Jesus Christ, let us quickly and steadfastly do the same thing without
wavering.
God is our eternal witness that Has appointed
Jesus as our eternal High Priest and declares that Jesus is God the Son equal
in power to God.
God the Father also declares Jesus is Co -Creator
and Lord:
Heb 1:2 - Hath in these last days spoken unto
us by his Son, whom he hath
appointed heir of all things, by whom also he
made the worlds;
Heb 1:10 - And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast
laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of
thine hands:
These are not biblical typos, holy
brethren, as scripture backs up, interprets, and authenticates scripture: Col 1:16 - For by him were all
things created, that are in heaven, and that are
in earth, visible and invisible, whether they
be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all
things were created by him, and for him:
Eph 3:9 - And to
make all men see what is the
fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the
world hath been hid in God, who created all
things by Jesus Christ:
It is just as our brother John has declared: Jesus
indwells us, touches our spirits, minds, and hearts, and wants us to touch Him
in Spirit, heart and truth.
Jesus is nothing like that old High Priest
under the law, now done away in grace, who if any tried to touch Him in the
holy place would die. Therefore, saints (G40 hagios), we can always rejoice because
Jesus is on our side, loves us and urgently calls to us to come to Him boldly
in perpetual fellowship, without fear, with hearts filled with love for the One who
first loved us.
Jhn 1:1That which was from the
beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have
looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life...
We feel John’s joy it is ours too, because we know Jesus lives
in us and welcomes us also into the very holy place where He with the power of an
endless life eternally makes intercessions for us before the throne of God His
Father and ours: Rom 8:34
Lord Jesus, our Saviour and High Priest
forever indwells every one of His priests, with the Holy Spirit and God to
direct and guide them through His word.
How does the Bible instruct the Christian to
live? This and we ourselves are a work in progress. No one knows much about God when they are
first saved. Just as people in earthly countries have to be taught over time
what is expected of them and helped to learn and obey the statutes and laws, they must follow to be considered good citizens, so it is in the kingdom of God.
Along with individual Bible study, it is the
work of the whole church to teach, guide, encourage, adults as well as children
to live by the word of God and to align our minds and hearts with the doctrines
and principals of scripture as laid out by God in the New Covenant of Jesus Christ.
However, holy people, the whole of scripture is valid, and the New Covenant is
ratified by God from the very beginning as the eternal final, finished and
complete Rock upon which Jesus has built His eternal church:
2 Ti 3:15 15And that from a child thou
hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation
through faith which is in Christ Jesus. 16All scripture is given
by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for
reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17That the man of God may be
perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.
We have to pick up the Bible and read it, because it
will not read itself. We grow over time by the word as we study, understand
and live it in obedience out of love for God and one another.
God assures us that He will grow us by His word: 1Wherefore laying aside all
malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil
speakings, 2As newborn
babes, desire the
sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby: 3If so be ye have tasted that
the Lord is gracious.
As we grow and head on towards maturity, we
better understand and carry out our vocation as priests ordained under our High
Priest Jesus Christ. We understand, brethren, that we are not just pew sitters, but have
authority and power from God to love Him, one another and all men, to make intercessions on earth to God in behalf of
ourselves and all men, and to personally offer up to God our sacrifices of
praise, adoration worship and prayers; minister to one another, share the gospel message in the world, and bear fruit doing all the good that we can all while living in obedience to God out of love for Him.
1 Pe 2:5Ye also, as lively stones, are
built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to
God by Jesus Christ.
Love, serola
