WARNS THE CHURCH AGAINST FALSE TEACHERS PERVERSION
OF THE GOSPEL THE TRUE NATURE AND CHARACTER OF EVIL Brothers
and sisters Christians can rejoice in salvation as forgiven people through
faith in Jesus Christ the only source of salvation appointed by God. Through
Jesus Christ we have eternal life. When Christians die they will be raised to
life with a spiritual body in the presence of Jesus Christ to await the rapture
when He will return to gather up His remaining saints with us and we shall be
changed. All Christians will live forever with eternal joy and peace in the
presence God. However,
all evil persons upon death will wake up in hell to be tormented there while
they await the final judgement in the lake of fire with the devil, his demons,
and fallen angels to be tormented forever in fire and brimstone, eternally
separated from the kingdom of God. Paul
makes it clear about the results of handing Alexander over to Satan to teach
him not to blaspheme, that it did nothing to deter him from continuing to
blaspheme. Paul had this to say: 2Ti 4:14 -
Alexander the coppersmith did me much evil: the Lord reward him according to his works: 15 - Of whom be thou ware also; for he hath greatly withstood our words. Greatly:
Greatly, exceedingly, exceedingly beyond measure. Withstood:
To set one's self against, to withstand, resist, oppose.
To set against. Again, Alexander did not repent
at all. Furthermore, besides doing much evil to Paul, Alexander continued to
resist the truth and to oppose Paul and whoever was present with him. Hymenaeus also did not repent and apparently
partnered with another false teacher Philetus in continuing to spread a false
gospel. These unrepentant apostates who
resisted the authority of the church were not to be welcomed back into the
church for obvious reasons. The Bible, brethren, does not use
warm and fuzzy, touchy feely language here but is absolutely explicit in
setting the absolute truth, standard and boundary of God for how the church is
to deal with anyone unrepentantly spreading and promoting a false gospel: Gal 1:8 - But though we, or an angel from
heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto
you, let him be accursed. Gal 1:9 - As we said before, so
say I now again, If any man preach any
other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed. 1Ti 6:3 - If any man teach
otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus
Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness; 4 - He is proud,
knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof
cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings, 5 - Perverse disputings of men
of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness:
from such withdraw thyself. 2Jo
1: 9 Whosoever
transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that
abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son. 10If
there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your
house, neither bid him God speed: 11For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil
deeds. Lord
Jesus leaves us with this warning about the dangerous nature of apostates so that we should not falsely think that if we only speak sweetly to them they will be nice and stop perverting the gospel: Mat 7:6 - Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither
cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and
turn again and rend you. love serola

Brothers and sisters, the secular world falsely paints the nativity scene as one of a nice clean stable, sparkling with light. The secular world celebrates the nativity as only being about a little baby, about one day out of the year. As believers, we know it is about so much more than just one day in the year. Jesus came as a baby, but He is not a baby anymore. Through His birth, He would later bring many, many others to be born of God through His final, finished and complete work of salvation. However, brothers and sisters, the truth is that a stable is dirty, smelly, insect infested and dark. With all that hay and valuable animals the light would be kept minimal. At night all the animals have to be brought in and they excrete on the floor of the stable. There was no room in the inn so Jesus had to be born in a stable. Luk 2:8 - And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. The shepherds were the first to be told by the angels that Jesus had been born. They were the first to see the babe. The great Shepherd of the flock chose to reveal Himself first to those who believed on Him and would be found acceptable to be under shepherds to the flocks of His kingdom. They worshipped Jesus in that dirty, smelly stable, unmindful of it in the presence of all that is pure, clean and holy for all eternity. These good under shepherds could be trusted to give out the good news of the revealed Messiah: Luk 2:18 - And all they that heard it wondered at those things which were told them by the shepherds. Jesus proved His love and humility by coming to a lost and dying world in a stable. He chose to be born there as an example of humility for all the ages. Unlike human royalty, there were no special linens, silk covered bedding, fancy garments, everything sparkling and clean. Mat 2:11 - And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense, and myrrh. The wise men came later when Jesus was now perhaps around two years old or under, living in a house with His parents. They came with their swank, precious oils, and gold etc.. they knew who Jesus is and what He came to do for them, that His birth was just the beginning, and Jesus would also finish it to the end. All would be welcomed in His kingdom who believed in Him regardless of their financial status, race or nationality.
The wise men knew that without Jesus, they would die and go to everlasting punishment and damnation. They knew the gifts they brought to Him even though it was the best of all they had, were mere trinkets in the sight of God; that the true gift is Jesus, God's gift given to them. Here God presents to the rich too, that the wealth of the kingdom of God in Jesus Christ is to be desired above all earthly riches.
Jesus left the splendor and glory of the Father, and came to this sin soaked earth to do His Father's will. The very ones Jesus came to save tried to kill Him, insulted Him, plotted His death, falsely accused Him and put Him to death on the Cross. But no scheme, plot, wicked plans, conspiracies, nets cast, or ditches dug by them who hated Him could keep Jesus from going to the cross out of love for His creations. Jhn 10:17 - Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again. He could have asked His Father to save Him, and God would have. Instead Jesus gave up His life for the very ones who hated Him. No one took His life He gave it all for us out of love for us to save us from our sins, and make us children of God. He suffered and died a horrible death for us to pay for our sins, of all who will believe, so we would not have to die for our own sins and go to everlasting damnation. As we go into the New Year, let us continue to go always with grateful hearts, continually knowing who Jesus is-our eternal and sole Risen Saviour for the whole world. I pray that as we go into the New Year also brothers and sisters, that it will be with the knowledge that even all of our best gifts and sacrifices to the King of Glory are mere trinkets, for it is through Jesus that we have all received redemption through His Blood for all eternity- JESUS IS THE BEST GIFT OF ALL. KEEP YOUR EYES ON JESUS AND BE CAREFUL TO OBEY HIM OUT OF LOVE FOR HE ALONE IS WORTHY FOR ALL ETERNITY. We are no better Christians if we celebrate this day, and no worse a Christian if we do not. Nevertheless we all have a life time in which we can all celebrate the eternal truth of the gospel in everything Jesus, in worship, prayer and witness to a dead and dying world that Jesus is the sole sinless Saviour and the sole source of salvation for all who believe on Him. love serola

Dearly beloveds, Paul makes no excuses for
these false teachers, because there is no excuse. These evil men wanted people
to lose hope and faith in Jesus Christ; they were proven to be enemies of
the inerrant eternal truth of His gospel. These
liars were striking at the heart of the gospel in going around telling
people that there is no more resurrection, that eternal life was no longer
possible through faith in the sole sinless Saviour Jesus Christ, the only
begotten Son of God. No one forced these evil men to blaspheme, they wanted to
do it with the evil and pernicious goal to overthrow people’s hope and faith in
Jesus Christ to a false gospel of bad news, with no forgiveness of sins, and hopelessness, where the grave is
the victor, and people live in fear of death and eternal punishment. 1Co 15:12Now if Christ be preached that he rose from the dead, how
say some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead? 13But if there be no resurrection of the dead, then is
Christ not risen: 14And if Christ be not risen, then is
our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain. 15Yea, and we are found false witnesses of God; because we
have testified of God that he raised up Christ: whom he raised not up, if so be
that the dead rise not. 16For if the dead rise not, then is not
Christ raised: 17And if Christ be not raised, your faith
is vain; ye are yet in your sins. 18Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are
perished. 19If in this life only we have hope in

covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their
generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed
after thee. Gal 3:16
Now to Abraham and his seed were the
promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to
thy seed, which is Christ. Sons
Through Faith in Christ Gal 3:26 For ye are all the
children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. 27For
as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. 28There
is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male
nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. 29And
if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to
the promise. Jhn 14:6 - Jesus saith unto him, I am the
way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. Dear
friends anyone falsely claiming that they can be saved and receive the Holy Spirit apart from faith in God's sole appointed Saviour Jesus
Christ is lying, and still dead in their sins. Brothers
and sisters, the apostle Paul gives a wonderful example to every Christian
within the standards, and boundaries, of the New Covenant to watch, stand
guard, and tirelessly defend the gospel, disciple and help the saints to grow
in holiness and be fearless to test those whose behaviors, conduct, doctrine
deny the truth of the gospel message. Paul
is dealing with these men within the final, finished, complete eternal
standards of the gospel. The church is given the absolute right from God, to
test those within the body who are clearly and consistently perverting the
gospel message: Mat 7:15 - Beware of false prophets, which come to you in
sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Jhn
10:10 - The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I
am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
There
is nothing harmless about false teachers. Paul gives us the wonderful example of
following our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ the good Shepherd, he devoted his
life to Jesus Christ in preaching and defending the gospel message and
protecting the flock of God from false teachers. Jesus said: Jhn 10:11 - I am the good
shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep. Paul’s
warning still holds true: Act 20:29 - For I know this, that after
my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock. Act 20:30 - Also of your own selves
shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after
them. Act 20:31 - Therefore watch, and
remember, that by the space of three years I ceased not to warn every one
night and day with tears. love serola

and sisters, we all know that when we are babes in Christ all we know initially
is that we are saved. Initially too, we miss the mark, we can be messy, we can make mistakes because
we know little of the Bible or how God wants saved people to live and serve
Him. By the grace of God, pastors, teachers, personal Bible study with
application and other brothers and sisters, we learn progressively of how we as
Christians are commanded, not merely suggested, to practice and live as profound
witnesses of Jesus Christ and to present Him to our families, at work, with
friends, and all social interactions. We mature, commit ourselves as ambassadors of Christ,
to conduct ourselves in the person of our Lord Jesus Christ in a variety of these interactions in private
and in public. God
empowers us to grow progressively as we understand and apply scripture to
joyfully present and represent Jesus Christ in all of these interactions as
well as to present the gospel message. God commands, and empowers all
Christians to grow progressively. The more we know the more we obey and grow. However,
dearly beloveds, progressive degeneration is neither expected nor accepted by
God.
Nobody knows human nature like God our Creator does. He gave us the Bible
to ensure that we can learn His eternal standards for what He has decreed is
good and for what He decrees is evil, from the general to the specific right
down to the nth degree. God’s final, finished and eternal standards sets the
boundaries and framework for all who are acceptable and unacceptable to Him,
and therefore to His people as well for all time. The
secular world always seeks to strip away the absolute standards and eternal
truth of the Bible God is love, to falsely become “we are all God’s children,
because God loves everybody it doesn't matter how we behave and live”. In this
way the secular world justifies themselves to live according to their own sinful
lusts and desires without God’s eternal, final and finished standards. In this
way the secular world has no fear of consequences, and falsely believes they have escaped being held accountable for how they choose to live in the sight of God. False teachers
deceive some, and also heap converts to themselves drawn to a false “feel good”
gospel that incense men and women too to live according to the works of the
flesh, without fear because “God loves everybody”.
Yes
indeed, God loves and has created everyone, but He does not love evil nor does He count everyone as His
children. Not only that, holy people, He has set the eternal, final finished
complete standard for whom He accepts as His children with the privilege, right
and command to call Him father, which is only through faith in His only begotten Son and
Sinless Saviour Jesus Christ.
Furthermore, all planted in Him He absolutely
commands, empowers, and expects to bear good fruit, not corrupt fruit. Now
Paul the apostle finds men who are degenerating from Jesus Christ, producing
corrupt fruit in perverting the gospel and departing from the absolute truth of
the gospel. Paul is addressing them because of it. Paul is not making baseless
accusations but has seen the evidence in that these men are wrongfully misleading
people about the gospel of Jesus Christ, and he will not be silent. At no time
do we find Paul dealing with these men under the law of Moses which commands: Lev 24:16 - And he that blasphemeth the name of the LORD, he shall
surely be put to death, and all the congregation shall certainly stone him: as
well the stranger, as he that is born in the land, when he blasphemeth the name
of the LORD, shall be put to death. love serola

minister, and to give his life a ransom for many. Rom
1:3 - Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of
David according to the flesh;4 - And declared to be the Son of God with power, according
to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead:5 - By whom we
have received grace and apostleship, for obedience to the faith among all
nations, for his name: Rom
1:6 - Among whom are ye also the called of Jesus Christ: Mat 19:23 - Then said Jesus unto his
disciples, Verily I say unto you, That a rich man shall hardly enter into the
kingdom of heaven.
Brothers
and sisters, the prosperity gospel is an old false doctrine used by false
teachers to turn the everlasting final finished atoning work of Jesus Christ to
mean in error that He did it merely so we could be financially wealthy. This is even more perverted by wicked persons to
mean that if a person is not financially well off or poor it is because they
lack faith.
We can always count on Jesus Christ to tell us the truth through
the Bible correctly interpreted: 1 Ti 6:5Perverse disputings of men of corrupt
minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such
withdraw thyself. 6But godliness with contentment is great gain. 7For we
brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.
8And having food and raiment let us be therewith content. 9But they that will
be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful
lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition. 10For the love
of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have
erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. Fight
the Good Fight:11But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after
righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness. 12Fight the good
fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and
hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. Regarding
the poor- Mat 26:11; Luk 4:18; Gal 2:10; Jas 2:5.
The purpose of work- 2Th 3:10; 1Th 4:11; 1Ti 5:8. The
proper use of money by those who are rich-1Ti6:17. Feel
free to look further on your own as the Bible gives many more verses on the understanding of riches possessing a person vs a person possessing riches; the
proper and improper use of money, but none of it can buy the grace of salvation
at any price. Brothers
and sisters, the Bible makes it absolutely clear that not all brothers and
sisters who sin in the church are commanded by God for the church to turn such
an one over to Satan. However, in certain cases such as those who within the
church impenitently practice fornication, and the perversion of the gospel
message the church should not fail to turn such an one over to Satan.
Look, holy people, some brothers and
sisters sin out of ignorance, or times of weakness. We still do not make
excuses for them but these gladly accept and receive correct teaching, help,
and guidance, then willingly turn away from all things displeasing to God, to
do His will, and never their own. They believe and see the gospel as absolute, and
to be obeyed regardless of their personal feelings, or personal desires. love serola
