1 JOHN 1:9 STUDY
NO SALVATION WITHOUT FAITH IN THE REAL JESUS CHRIST
Brothers and sisters, there are those who
believe Jesus Christ paid for past sins but want to know where is the biblical
evidence that Jesus Christ also paid for present and future sins? These questions
arise due to failure to understand the scriptures and the power of God.
However, without condemnation for asking, the
Bible easily provides the biblical evidence. We know, dearly beloveds, that God
established the pattern for the atonement, a shadow of it is given under the
law, once yearly an atonement had to be made for the sins of all the people of Israel:
Lev 16:7
And he shall take the
two goats, and present them before the LORD at the
door of the tabernacle of the congregation.
Lev 16:8 And Aaron shall cast lots upon
the two goats; one lot for the LORD, and the
other lot for the scapegoat.
Lev 16:9 And
Aaron shall bring the goat upon which the
LORD'S lot fell, and offer him for a sin
offering.
Lev 16:10 But
the goat, on which the lot fell to be the scapegoat, shall
be presented alive before the LORD, to make an
atonement with him, and to let him go for a
scapegoat into the wilderness.
Lev 16:21
And Aaron shall lay both his
hands upon the head of the live goat, and confess over
him all the iniquities of the children of Israel, and all their
transgressions in all their sins, putting them upon the
head of the goat, and shall send him away by
the hand of a fit man into the wilderness:
Lev 16:22 And
the goat shall bear upon him all their iniquities unto a
land not inhabited: and he shall let go the goat in the
wilderness.
Aaron and all of the high priests to follow
were just mere men, the only sins they could place on the scapegoat were the
ones they knew the people had committed in the past. they had no power or way
to know or see into the future what sins the people might commit. This is why
it was necessary to repeat the atonement yearly, in addition to the fact that
the body and blood of the sacrifice rotted away the same day losing its
effectiveness, and the forgiveness it had previously obtained.
Holy brethren, we know from scripture that
when God offered up His perfect Sinless Son Jesus Christ, He met God’s standard
for being both the perfect sinless sacrifice in His earthly life and death AND
the perfect sinless live scapegoat in His resurrection. Unlike the sacrifices
under the Law, the body and blood of Jesus Christ’s sacrifice is incorruptible
and forever retains its power to effectuate permanent forgiveness for all who
believe in Him and has no expiration date.
This is why the believer who has confessed
unto salvation need not afterward find it necessary or commanded of God to continually come to God to confess sins
seeking any further forgiveness of sins, it is finished. Also it is impossible
for any believer to be separated from God by any means or ways whatsoever: Heb 13:5; Rom 8:35-39.
GOD IS OMNISCIENT, OMNIPOTENT AND OMNIPRESENT,
unlike mere men, God knows ALL
the sins committed by each and every person in the whole world, past, present,
and future, ( Heb
4:13)
Neither is there any
creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all
things are naked and opened unto the
eyes of him with whom we have to do.
Therefore, God placed the sins of the whole
world past, present and future (not just the sins of the nation of Israel) on Jesus
Christ who took the punishment of all of our sins, past, present and future in His death, and forever destroyed them in His resurrection
as though they had never happened:
Rom 4:7
Saying,
Blessed are they whose iniquities are
forgiven, and whose sins are covered.
Rom 4:8 Blessed is the
man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.
1Jo 2:12 I
write unto you, little children, because your
sins are forgiven you for his name's sake.
Let us again remember, brethren, although
there was a once-a-year sacrifice of atonement under the law for the people of Israel
as a whole, its effectiveness lasted only a day because animal blood corrupted
or decayed away, and was no longer acceptable to God.
The atonement gained through the sacrifice of
the body and blood of Jesus Christ in His New Testament, brought in and
ratified at His death is not temporary like that under the law, the incorruptible
body and blood of Jesus Christ obtains permanent forgiveness forever, to all
who will believe on Him.
Furthermore, God appointed Lord Jesus Christ as the Eternal Saviour, Lord, High Priest, and Head of the church; He guards it,
establishes its order, and oversees the proper function and service of His
priests under Him. Unlike the sinful high priest/priests of the Old Covenant of
the Law, Jesus Christ never had to confess His own sin, because He never had
any sin. Of Jesus Christ the scriptures declare:
2Cr. 5:21:
For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be
made the righteousness of God in him.
1Pe. 2:22:
Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth:
1Jo. 3:5:
And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin
1 John 1:9If we confess our sins, he is
faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us
from all
unrighteousness.
When we know the truth, we should turn from
error and not be like those who reject the truth Those who do so, still willfully
acknowledge themselves as sinners, who must continually offer their confession
of their sins and beg Jesus Christ to shed His sinless one- time blood
sacrifice to gain forgiveness for them over and over again. Instead of the
fellowship and full joy promised by 1John 1:4, they are plunged into a false
gospel, a toxic message of deadly self- deception.
Having placed themselves under relentless bad
news; they experience works for rest, condemnation instead of joy, and in
misery they are neither saved nor safe, never washed, and never cleansed. Willfully
blindly, such persons pray to an obscure false saviour of their own imagination,
from whom forgiveness of sin is won and lost with no hope to attainment of
permanency. Such persons continually moan, wring their hands, scream how
utterly unworthy they are, beg, cry, sob, and crawl towards an imaginary false
altar continually, with various sins to lie upon it.
Living in abject shame, condemnation, and
misery of their own willful making, they continually offer up their own
ineffectual offerings of "confessions" to get forgiven of their sins
over and over again, through a false saviour of their own imaginings and not
the true. They experience a short- lived comfort-until the next sin, to begin
the unending cycle of horrific futility over and over again. Such persons cannot know the joy of full
assurance declared by John.
This also shows a horrific and complete rejection
of both the Old Covenant of the Law and the New Covenant of Grace as well,
since it is clear that in both Covenants confession alone is never accepted as
God absolutely commands that it must be accompanied by an unblemished blood
sacrifice of atonement administered through the high priest/mediator.
Even more horrific is the willful rejection
of those who refuse to believe, recognize, and accept the superiority of the
atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ which does insult and despite to God, the Holy
Spirit and the Lord Jesus Christ, whose sinless blood washes every believer
from all their sins and gives them permanent forgiveness for ever.
Jhn 3:36
He that believeth on the
Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the
Son shall not see life; but the wrath of
God abideth on him.
Note: — Suffering with Christ. We
must be ready to suffer at times because we cling to our faith in Jesus. God
does not punish us, but evil persons do [including the Devil and his angels].
When we are hurt in this way, it is as though we suffer with Jesus. We suffer
with him because we are his friends. God will bless us for this, and [in due
time] he will punish the wicked.

1 JOHN 1 STUDY
NO SALVATION WITHOUT FAITH IN THE REAL JESUS CHRIST
1 John 1:10If we say that we have not
sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.
10. that we have not sinned, This
is not the same as ‘that we have no sin’, I.e. being born absolutely without sin and
remaining in an eternally sinless state, therefore having no need of salvation
as in 1
John 1:8. ‘have not sinned’ here
in 1 John 1:10 is falsely claiming we have absolutely never committed any sin
therefore have no need of forgiveness.
We make Him a liar, we falsely blasphemously
claim that God is a liar who cleverly crafted a lie in making a plan of
salvation to induce men who have done no wrong to feel needlessly guilty and
badly of themselves.
His word is (absolutely) not in us, In John,
denotes the essential Word of God, Jesus Christ, the personal wisdom and power
in union with God, his minister in creation and government of the universe, the
cause of all the world's life both physical and ethical, is absolutely not in anyone
who has the gall to call God a liar, knowing it is impossible for God to lie
and that He has declared all men guilty of sin and in need of the salvation of Jesus
Christ.
Brothers and sisters, the apostle John makes
it clear, again and again, Christ’s
forgiveness has no expiration date, is complete, permanent, final, and
finished, once for all. Christ’s forgiveness is the eternal termination of the
wrath of God against sin; it is the eternal release from the guilt of sin which
oppresses the conscience, and the eternal remission of the punishment of sin,
which is eternal death.
In Christ’s justification
of all believers, then, all
of our sins past present and future are forgiven permanently; and the guilt and punishment thereof
permanently removed.
Our loving relationship with
God leads us to follow him in willing obedience and service. Again and again, it
is essential to understand absolutely that we cannot obtain any further
forgiveness after salvation is received, seeing that our pardon is permanent through
the atoning work of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
The issue of God’s
forgiveness via atonement through Jesus for all believers is once and for all
settled for all eternity, it is finished. God has not left us on our own, holy
people, nor are we “saved sinners”. The penitent sinner is not just forgiven
and left to flounder alone. Nor is he or she an old man dusted off and cleaned
up outwardly with a somewhat improved old nature; no, he or she is regenerated,
made a completely new creature, indwelt by God the Father, God the Son, and God
the Holy Spirit made a child of the Living God.
John tells us over and over in a multitude of ways throughout His
word that Christians are not given a license to sin but made free from the
bondage of sin to serve God and one another in love, and gratitude for what
God’s Son has done for us.
Going forward as permanently
forgiven peoples, dearly beloveds, we will look into the remaining questions:
How does the Bible instruct the Christian to
live and does the Christian have two natures or a combination of the sinful old
man or carnal nature melded with the new nature?
I know I have sinned or done wrong after I
was saved what do I do about that and why do I still do it at times?

1 JOHN 1:9 STUDY
NO SALVATION WITHOUT FAITH IN THE REAL JESUS CHRIST
Brothers and sisters, at one time we were all
ignorant in some way in the comprehensive gospel message of the gospel or New
Covenant of Lord Jesus Christ, but we are forbidden to remain that way, thank God
He ensures that we cannot and will not remain that way.
Awhile back I spoke with a man who had been
preaching many years and had a large church who decried the sinless blood of
the atonement as gory and barbaric, and felt that it was error to teach or
believe anything regarding it. It was my pleasure to show him the scriptures
regarding the atonement of Jesus Christ and the eternal truth that all who
willingly rejected it are still sinners dead in sin, doomed for hell at the
physical death of the body. His eyes were opened after reading the scriptures
and He confessed and believed on Jesus Christ’s eternal work of atonement in
the sacrifice of His SINLESS body AND SINLESS BLOOD and was saved.
My fellow citizens of the kingdom of heaven,
and ambassadors of Jesus Christ who has ordained us to take His message to the
world, we have our brother the apostle John here speaking again and again in absolutes
regarding the comprehensive gospel message of Jesus Christ.
Therefore, dearly beloveds, let us
continue to look at 1 John 1 in a biblical comprehensive absolute way as all
scripture, and not as a bunch of standalone verses which God does not intend it
to ever be.
As posed earlier: Why does the failure to
understand the atoning work of Jesus Christ due to ignorance leads people trying
to deal with sin in error back to either works and/or the Mosaic Law both done
away in Jesus Christ?
The reasons are: the persons in ignorance
have failed to understand the power of God wrought through His Son Jesus Christ
and sees the Bible not as comprehensive, but only as jumbled verses which one
may sincerely and freely cobble together to make doctrines in which one believes
that they are serving God, not understanding that this is vain worship.
Regardless of how sincere the persons may be they are still sincerely wrong.
Raise your hand if you have ever been in
biblical ignorance, I raised mine. Thank God who delivers us from ignorance
through the truth of scriptures, correctly taught and interpreted by faithful
brothers and sisters everywhere, without condemnation to those being taught.
The ability
to travel through time, whether it is to fix a mistake in the
past or gain insight into the future, has long been embraced by science fiction
and debated by theoretical astrophysicists. NASA scientists believe it will
never be possible, although some in the U.K believe it is possible to build a
time machine, and one of its scientists claims to have created a theoretical
working model.
If we glibly accept the opinions of worldly
scientists about the possibility of time travel, or altering time in some way,
how much more, holy people, should we turn to the Bible where it teaches the
everlasting absolute truth that God for His purposes not only created time, He
alone by His power can alter it as well according to His sovereign will: Dan 2:21
And he changeth the times and the
seasons: he removeth kings, and setteth up kings: he
giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that
know understanding:
God, again, holy brethren created time and God
will end time: Rev 10:6
And sware by him that
liveth for ever and
ever, who created heaven, and the things that therein
are, and the earth, and the things that therein
are, and the sea, and the things which are
therein, that there should be time no longer:
We know that God is not subject to time, but
to save as many as will believe on His Son Jesus Christ has subjected all
mankind, each to their allotted time, to hear the gospel message and believe on
His Son Jesus Christ and be saved, or to reject the Son and be lost forever.
Most of us know that it is extremely important
to understand that God did not create time for mankind only for the sole
purpose of marking anniversaries, important events, birthdays, time to work or
play or certain milestones, etc. God commands us to stay focused on God’s big
picture.
Let us remind everyone that the gospel did
not come from the east or the west, but God sent it down from heaven with the Holy
Spirit through the atonement of Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
Jesus Christ by the power of His atoning work
thoroughly overcomes time and permanently cleanses/takes away all sins and
forgives all those who believe in Him, leaving the saved in their allotted time
to share in bringing the gospel message, and living out their faith as an
example to the world, as a new creature in indwelt by Him, God and the Holy
Spirit. Jesus Christ destroys the root cause of sin, which is the sin nature
itself: Rom 6:6
Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him,
that the body of sin might be destroyed, that
henceforth we should not serve sin.
There will be more on this later. Now some
who like to argue in error that the atonement only covered past sins and we
still have to confess any future sins afterwards to keep being forgiven and in
fellowship with God use these verses:
Pro
28:13 He that covereth his sins shall not
prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall
have mercy. This is of the Law done away in Christ. All Christians are under
grace not Law and God forbids any mixing of the two. Eph 2:15
Having abolished in his flesh the
enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for
to make in himself of
twain one new man, so making peace;
Rom 3:25
Whom God hath set forth to
be a
propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the
remission of sins that are past, through the
forbearance of God;
However, God within the context of the whole
of scripture from the Old Testament to the New Testament declares: Jer 31:34
And they shall teach no more every
man his neighbour, and every man his
brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all
know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I
will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no
more.
Heb 8:12
For I will be merciful to
their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will
I remember no more.
Heb 10:17
And their sins and iniquities will
I remember no more.
Col 2:13
And you, being dead in your sins and the
uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened
together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;
Those whom God has forgiven who believe in His
Son Jesus Christ are greatly assured that being a sinner is a thing of the
past. There are no works whatsoever that can take away sins other than the
atoning work of Jesus Christ, He paid it all permanently and forever finished
it for whomsoever will believe in Him.
Any who impenitently reject the whole truth
of the atonement of Jesus Christ are still dead in their sins, for they are
calling God a liar, knowing it is impossible for God to lie: Rom 3:3
For what if some did not
believe? shall their unbelief make the faith of
God without effect? 4 God
forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a
liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be
justified in thy sayings, and mightest
overcome when thou art judged.

1 JOHN 1 STUDY
NO SALVATION WITHOUT FAITH IN THE REAL JESUS
CHRIST
Brothers and sisters, all over the world
countries have established standards that foreigners seeking citizenship must meet
to gain legal citizenship by agreeing to its laws and abiding by the same in
order to enjoy the rights and benefits thereof.
Whether one agrees or not, dearly beloveds,
most countries have established laws where those caught entering in or who have
entered illegally will be deported. Proponents of “open borders” find most
countries do not open to discussion of changing their laws to permit any such
thing. We know all too well, holy people, that through warfare that the
conquerors breech national boundaries and can and do change a nation’s
standards and laws by brute force.
Brothers and sisters, we want to continue to
look at 1 John 1:9 in a biblical comprehensive way as all scripture, and not as
a standalone verse which God does not intend it to ever be.
1 John 1:9 unequivocally can never be
interpreted to mean that Christians remain sinners after salvation who must
continually confess to God their sins each and every time, they sin to get Him
to forgive them and restore them to fellowship with Him as some are teaching,
whether in ignorance or willfully it is still damaging to those seeking to be
saved. As many say the righteous will receive the truth but the wicked never
will.
No one but God, holy people, sets the
standard for admission into His eternal unconquerable unchanging kingdom which
is solely through faith in Jesus Christ His Son and sole appointed saviour,
whose atoning work is complete, finished for all eternity. This is the nonnegotiable
inerrant and eternal truth of God, and all who believe in His Son Jesus Christ
are thoroughly/completely washed from all sins in His sinless blood forever. God
receives none into His kingdom who refuse to believe that Christ’s work of
atonement is finished for all time.
The Bible clearly teaches: AMP
Heb 10: 14For by the one offering He
has perfected forever and completely
cleansed those who
are being sanctified [bringing each believer to spiritual completion and
maturity]. 15And the Holy Spirit also adds His
testimony to us [in confirmation of this]; for after having said,
16“THIS IS THE COVENANT THAT
I WILL MAKE WITH THEM
AFTER THOSE DAYS, SAYS THE LORD:
I WILL IMPRINT MY LAWS UPON THEIR HEART,
AND ON THEIR MIND I WILL INSCRIBE THEM [producing
an inward change],”
He then says,
17“AND THEIR SINS AND THEIR
LAWLESS ACTS
I WILL
REMEMBER NO MORE [no longer holding their sins against them].” 18Now where there is [absolute] forgiveness and complete
cancellation of the penalty of these things, there is no longer any offering [to be made to
atone] for sin.
KJV Heb 10:18
Now where remission of
these is, there is no more offering for sin.
No more: absolutely no more offering for sin.
Scripture interprets scripture, backs up and
validates scripture: 1Jo 1:9
If we confess our sins, he
is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to
cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
This verse can only be rightly interpreted as
declaring the same thing as
1Jo 4:15
Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the
Son of
God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God.
Rom 10:9
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the
Lord Jesus, and shalt
believe in thine heart that God hath
raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
Rom 10:10
For with the heart man
believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made
For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be
ashamed.
It is gross error for anyone to unrepentantly
interpret 1John 1:9 to mean that all Christians after salvation are still
sinners needing to confess sins unto God over and over to keep forgiven and not
lose fellowship with God. The Bible declares regarding those who impenitently
reject the atoning work of Christ: Heb 10:29
Of how
much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought
worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath
counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he
was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done
despite unto the Spirit of grace?
Again, let us not forget what the apostle
John has declared: 1Jo 5:18
We
know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is
begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked
one toucheth him not.
We have to bring forth the whole gospel
message of the gospel of Jesus Christ; it is absolutely not a polite discussion
between equals, as God has no mere human equals, and receives no one who
chooses to reject His Son Jesus Christ.
Next, dearly beloveds, (I’m rephrasing an earlier
question to be in relation to ignorance rather than impenitency); we will look
at how the failure to understand the atoning work of Jesus Christ due to
ignorance leads people trying to deal with sin in error back to either works
and/or the Mosaic Law both done away in Jesus Christ. These people may be
sincere, but they are still sincerely wrong. We have much more to say regarding
sin within the comprehensive context of the New Covenant of Jesus Christ.

1 JOHN 1 STUDY NO SALVATION WITHOUT FAITH IN THE REAL JESUS CHRIST
Brothers
and sisters, John speaks clearly in biblical absolutes, without apology. John
keeps hammering away and expounding on His message, he states explicitly the
Gospel of Jesus Christ is non-negotiable, exclusive, explicit, exhaustive, incorruptible,
uncompromising, inerrant, final, finished, complete, eternal absolute standard,
and unchanging truth without exception and absolutely no options.
Questions; does 1 John 1: 9 teach that people
apart from the atoning work of Jesus Christ can perform any work to get each
sin they commit forgiven by God, since the Bible clearly states that through
Jesus Christ alone all of sins are eternally forgiven for everyone who believes
in Him?
Dearly beloveds, we have to answer with
another question: What kind of Lamb is the Christ? Hey wait a minute! Alright
now! Some might think this is an uncalled for out of line question, yet it is
not.
We must always be careful to preach the whole
counsel of God, the whole truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ according to His
new covenant of grace. See, understand, comprehend, if anyone
believes/likens in error or intentionally that Jesus Christ, the Holy Lamb of
God is the same type of sacrificial animal lamb offered up by the high priest
of the Law for the yearly atonement (whose effectiveness lasted only a day) for
the nation of Israel, then they will also believe in error or willfully that Jesus
Christ the perfect sacrificial Lamb of God’s blood is the same as that of the
animal blood sacrificed under the Law that corrupted after it was shed and over
time lost its effectiveness and the forgiveness it had once obtained. This is
why these kinds of sacrifices had to be repeated yearly:
The blood of Jesus Christ the Holy Lamb of God
is absolutely not like the blood of mere animals which were sacrificed under
the Law of Moses. The blood of Jesus Christ
which is sinless, is incorruptible, forever retaining His cleansing power to take
away/totally demolish all sins and obtains forgiveness for all who believe in
Him. (See Heb
10:10-23).
Those who reject the truth, will also in
error see and believe that God’s forgiveness of our sins is temporary too just
like it is under the Law. They will continually in error keep making confessions
each time they sin to get God to forgive them over and over again for each and
every time they sin. All their confessions are totally in vain, worthless and
gain nothing from God but condemnation.
All such, whether on purpose or ignorantly
have made a covenant with death are still unsaved, still dead in their sins,
having believed and put their faith in the wrong lamb that is under the law,
rather than Jesus Christ the perfect Lamb of God under His New Covenant.
These people are filled with vain works,
ritual confessions, fearful anxious sin counters, trying to keep short accounts
of their sins lest they die with unconfessed sins and be lost. They vainly try
to justify their ritual confessions by perverting intentionally or in ignorance
this verse to falsely mean that we are still sinners after salvation, needing
to continually confess our sins to get God to forgive us and allow us back in
fellowship with Him: 1Jo 1:9 - If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just
to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
It is no wonder, brethren, that those who
follow this error do not find the joy or fellowship that John intends for God’s
people to have.
John himself, holy people, lays forever to
rest the lie that John 1:9 means people are compelled by God to continually confess
all their sins each and every time they sin to get God to forgive and bring
them back in fellowship with Him: . For this reason, John wrote in full
knowledge, confidence, and assurance to all of God’s people: 1Jo 3:6 -
Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him,
neither known him. 1Jo 3:8 He
that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning.
For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works
of the devil.
1Jo 3:9 -
Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him:
and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
1Jo 3:10 In
this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever
doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother. 1Jo
5:18 - We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is
begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not. (SeeHeb 10:10-23).
This is not about being easy on sin, if anything,
holy people, it brings down the hammer on anyone claiming Christ, whose lives
are characterized by a life of sin. Next we will look at the only correct
biblical interpretation of 1 John 1;9 which is the only one that counts with God.

1 JOHN 1
STUDY
NO SALVATION
WITHOUT FAITH IN THE REAL JESUS CHRIST
1John 1:8If
we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
Brothers and sisters, most of us know that 1
JOHN 1: 8 IS not a standalone verse from which some in error believes contradicts
the atoning work of Christ, NO, instead it confirms the atoning work of our Lord
and Saviour Jesus Christ.
The correct interpretation of 1 John 1:8 is
that if any mere human being claims that they absolutely NEVER had any sin meaning
in the sense of being born and remaining in an eternal sinless state, therefore
having no need of salvation, all such persons are lying to themselves and are
absolutely devoid of the truth. Jesus Christ is the only sinless person who
ever lived. Therefore, only the atoning work of Jesus Christ will cleanse all
who believe in Him from all sins forever.
Brothers and sisters, certainly many of us
have read or heard from some who have been witnessed to who bristle at the idea
of seeing themselves as being born having a sin nature. More than a few resists
and turn their backs on salvation because they see it as faulty, archaic, and harmful
teachings that make people feel needless guilt, as they believe there is no
such thing as sin or having a sin nature needing forgiveness in the first
place.
Holy people, this is God’s firm warning that all
false teachings and erroneous personal opinions that contradict scripture have
no power to nullify the word of God. Those who die impenitently believing they were
born sinless with no need for salvation will have no excuse before God: Rev 21:8
But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the
abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall
have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which
is the second death.
1 John 1 is meant, and even the entirety of
scriptures to be understood in a comprehensive way. God absolutely forbids
anyone to see scripture as just a series of standalone verses, from which one
can concoct false doctrines that contract the infallible inerrant truth of
scripture. Again, holy brethren, all those who reject the atoning work of Jesus
Christ, because they in self-deception believe that they never had and never
will have any sin in them, are still dead in their sins.
The study will continue, and I know there are
some amongst us who have come to believe the inerrant truth that our Lord and
Saviour did not cleanse us from some sins but all sins, but have questions
about the meaning of 1 John 1: 9. I will give the answers based on the
comprehensive Bible teachings regarding 1 John 1: 9 within the only acceptable
standard of God as set in the gospel of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
Questions; does 1 John 1: 9 teach that people
apart from the atoning work of Jesus Christ can perform any work to get each
sin they commit forgiven by God, since the Bible clearly states that through Jesus
Christ alone all of sins are eternally forgiven for everyone who believes in
Him?
Why does the failure to accept or believe the
inerrant infallible scriptures and the power of the atoning work of Jesus Christ
lead people in error back to the Mosaic Law done away in Jesus Christ?
How does the Bible instruct the Christian to
live and does the Christian have two natures or a combination of the sinful old
man or carnal nature melded with the new nature?
I know I have sinned or done wrong after I was saved what do I do about that and why do I still do it at times?

1 JOHN 1 STUDY
NO SALVATION WITHOUT FAITH IN THE REAL JESUS CHRIST
Brothers and sisters, some might in error
believe that the Bible teaching that the blood of Jesus
Christ cleanses us from All sins, is contradicted by 1 John 1: 8If we say
that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
God, holy people, is absolutely not the
author of confusion and the scriptures do not contradict themselves, for the
word of God backs up the word of God and eternally, infallibly validates and proves
the word of God as we shall see in the word and by the word: 2Co 1:20
For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the
glory of God by us.
First of all, dearly beloveds, if 1 John 1:8 is interpreted to mean that all saved people
remain sinners and still practice sinning after salvation, this grievous error is
entirely corrected and put to rest as John himself goes on to further confirm
the eternal state of all who are saved through faith in the atoning work of Jesus
Christ, Lord and Saviour: 1Jo 3:8
He that committeth sin is of the
devil; for the devil sinneth from the
beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was
manifested, that he might destroy the works of the
devil.
1Jo 3:9
Whosoever is
born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he
is born of God.
1Jo 5:18
We
know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is
begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked
one toucheth him not.
…and the blood of Jesus Christ cleanses
us from All sins
Heb 8:12
For I will
be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will
I remember no more.
Heb 10:17
And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.
The true Christian
does not practice sinning or make it a lifestyle, more on this later within the
inerrant explicit, exhaustive teachings of the New Covenant of Jesus Christ,
and what might be shocking details on the flesh or carnal nature.
Next the ONLY
correct biblical interpretation of 1 John 1:8.
