Beloveds, we must clear up the lie that when the Lord told Joshua he would have good success through obeying the Law, that this was meant for Christians today. The Lord told this to Joshua that in obeying the Old Covenant of the Law God would give him success in conquering certain lands and taking these lands for the nation of Israel: Joshua 1: 5 There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee. 6 Be strong and of a good courage: for unto this people shalt thou divide for an inheritance the land, which I sware unto their fathers to give them.

Also in keeping the Old Covenant of the Law, (which is all they had from God), he would not face the wrath of God and die as Aaron and Moses did for their disobedience to God in not keeping the Old Covenant of the Law: Num. 27: 12 And the LORD said unto Moses, Get thee up into this mount Abarim, and see the land which I have given unto the children of Israel. 13 And when thou hast seen it, thou also shalt be gathered unto thy people, as Aaron thy brother was gathered. 14 For ye rebelled against my commandment in the desert of Zin, in the strife of the congregation, to sanctify me at the water before their eyes: that is the water of Meribah in Kadesh in the wilderness of Zin.

Moses never preached that the Old Covenant of the Law would make anyone permanently righteous in the sight of God. Here is the truth, preached by our Saviour Jesus Christ: Jhn 5:46 For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me: for he wrote of me.

Luk 24:44 And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.

Gal 2:21 I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, THEN CHRIST IS DEAD IN VAIN.

See Galatians 3, which explains God’s purposes for the Law; and how Jesus Christ has delivered us from it for all time. Feel free to study on your own the numerous verses that fully declare that Jesus Christ is the eternal Saviour and final sole source of eternal salvation for all time for all who believe in Him. See John 14:6.

Anyone willfully claiming salvation based on keeping the Old Covenant of the Law and/ or combining it with the New Covenant of Jesus Christ, or anything else is not considered a Christian according to the Bible.

Gal 2:21 I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, THEN CHRIST IS DEAD IN VAIN.

Gal 3:10 For as many as are of the works of the law are under the CURSE: for it is written, CURSED is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them. 11 But that NO MAN is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith.

          1Ti. 1:5 Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned:6 From which some having swerved have turned aside unto vain jangling;
7 Desiring to be teachers of the law; understanding neither what they say, nor whereof they affirm.

1Ti 1:9 Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers, 10 For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine; 11 According to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which was committed to my trust.

John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

    STUDIES IN HEBREWS

    CHAPTER TWO

Brothers and sisters, how gracious and thorough is our God to leave us His Word so that we can be assured and confident in all He has done for us. Regardless of the biblical writer, again and again the Bible teaches us in these verses: 2Ti 3:15

And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. 16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

17 That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

You see Holy people, although many writers have laid down the scriptures, it is of the utmost importance for all to understand, even our children, that none of it was created, invented, or written out of the minds or thoughts of men. All scripture came from God, written by holy men, inspired by, breathed out by, and guided by God as they were led by  and filled by the Holy Spirit, guaranteeing its absolute truth. For this reason, no one should ever think that they can dismiss the Bible as unimportant thinking wrongly that it was only written by men, and therefore having no obligation to obey it.

Most heads of companies start their kids at the top to learn the business from the top down. Raise your hand, holy brethren, if any of you find it shocking, stunning that God the Father does the opposite and starts God His Son Jesus Christ to learn His holy business from beyond the bottom to the top? I raised both of mine:  Luk 14:11

For whosoever exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted. I know, dearly beloveds, that there is no need to explain the lesson for us all here.

Dearly beloveds, let us continue on in the study, with patience, as the holy family of God, and let Him minister His word to you, me, us, so that we will gratefully receive His spiritual food that will cause us to spiritually grow and bear much fruit as we lovingly trust, live, and obey Him:

Patience: Steadfastness, constancy, endurance; in the NT the characteristic of a man, (includes women too), who is not swerved from his deliberate purpose and his loyalty to faith and devoutness by even the greatest trials and sufferings; patiently, and steadfastly; a patient, steadfast waiting for; a patient enduring, sustaining, perseverance.

Heb 2:1 Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip. 2 For if the word spoken by angels was stedfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompence of reward; 3 How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him; 4 God also bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders, and with divers miracles, and gifts of the Holy Ghost, according to his own will? 5 For unto the angels hath he not put in subjection the world to come, whereof we speak. 6 But one in a certain place testified, saying, What is man, that thou art mindful of him? or the son of man, that thou visitest him? 7 Thou madest him a little lower than the angels; thou crownedst him with glory and honour, and didst set him over the works of thy hands: 8 Thou hast put all things in subjection under his feet. For in that he put all in subjection under him, he left nothing that is not put under him.

But now we see not yet all things put under him. 9 But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man. 10 For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings. 11 For both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren, 12 Saying, I will declare thy name unto my brethren, in the midst of the church will I sing praise unto thee. 13 And again, I will put my trust in him. And again, Behold I and the children which God hath given me. 14 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; 15

And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage. 16 For verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham. 17 Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people. 18 For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succour them that are tempted.

Love, serola         Know that you are always in my heart and prayers, holy brethren, pray for me.

    STUDIES IN HEBREWS

    CHAPTER ONE

Brothers and sisters, God the Holy Spirit is a wonderful teacher. He takes us through the same lessons repeatedly in different ways to make sure we get the message down pat. God the Father teaches us too, much the same. Therefore, God in the first verse below asks a question to test us to see if we have fully understood His lessons about Jesus Christ, God His Son.  Based on all the teachings God gave earlier, it is clear that He expects all to know that there is only one correct answer. It is vital for all to know that God neither excepts nor allows any options or alternatives whatsoever to His infallible truth.

To make this study a bit interactive here, holy brethren, feel free to leave your answer directly in reply to God. I give my answer here: God my Father, you Absolutely NEVER at any time in any way, shape, or manner ever told any angel to sit on your right hand, until you make his enemies his footstool. God my Father you said this only to God Your Son Jesus Christ, never to any angel. I also understand dear God my Father that you are never neutral about those who hate Jesus Christ, God Your Son. Therefore, you have explicitly declared that all, enemies of Jesus Christ God your Son IS YOUR ENEMY TOO, praise your Holy Name!

13But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool?

God the Father, dearly beloveds, at the end of this chapter, leaves all a second rhetorical question in expectation that all understand and will answer in the affirmative that the angels are God’s alone to commanded to carry out His purposes, and will. So no one should be trying to command the angels to do anything, to fight for a specific cause, country, person, or thing, or to pray to or worship, or seek to have a personal relationship with, etc.

14Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?

    Love, serola

    STUDIES IN HEBREWS

    CHAPTER ONE

Brothers and sisters, God the Father continues to speak directly to God His Son Jesus Christ and in our ears, minds, and hearts. God the Father wows us and leaves us in mind blowing awe at His loving, glorious, dazzling, majestic and powerful presentation of God His Son Jesus Christ.

GOD AGAIN SPEAKING DIRECTLY TO HIS SON JESUS CHRIST

10And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands:

    11They shall perish; but thou remainest; and they all shall wax old as doth a garment;

12And as a vesture shalt thou fold them up, and they shall be changed: but thou art the same, and thy years shall not fail.

God the Father here affirms that God His Son Jesus is also Lord, as eternal as Himself, in placing Jesus at the beginning with Himself using and having the power of creation, exactly like His Father God. God the Father opens up our understanding that Jesus, God His Son, is eternal, indestructible, and unchanging, although the world God created by Him shall become old and unusable, at the designated time to the will of the Father, He will do away with this present earth, that a new imperishable earth will be created by His power.

Mere men, dearly beloveds, who rule on earth often do it imperfectly, may be corrupt, make missteps that don’t benefit

those being ruled. Jesus is not like that, He is the One whom God His Father declares is the eternal perfect Ruler,

absolutely incorruptible, loving righteousness and hating iniquity and wickedness. His septre is more than a sign, symbol, or

token. It is the evidentiary septre of the right of rulership, authority and power. Like a Shepherd His septre is a staff with

which He rules over and protects His people, and as a rod of Iron with which He destroys all enemies who come against Him.

Jhn 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God.

    1Jo 5:7

For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.

     Isa 9:6

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Holy people we have a God that desires our fellowship. He is never distant from us, thinks about us constantly, and wants us to consciously draw near to Him at all times. He is never impersonal with His people; He knows us all individually by name:  Jhn 10:3

To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out.

     Psa 139:17

How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them!

Brethren, there might be some amongst us who have not worshipped Jesus because they did not know that He is God the Son,

whom  God the Father declares is equal with Him and to be worshipped. Now that God the Father Himself has told all the

everlasting truth, I pray that all such will believe the testimony of God for whom it is impossible to lie, and make haste to

offer up their worship to Lord Jesus in sacrifices of praises, thanks giving and love, for He is worthy.

    STUDIES IN HEBREWS

    CHAPTER ONE

Brothers and sisters, what a joy it is that we should meet together once again, by the grace of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Praise God, as family we are responsible and accountable to God and one another to live in His love and truth. Let us put off the vestiges of the old man and see it as what it is a relic of our spiritually dead past and put on Jesus Christ the new spiritually alive man, (this includes women too, of course}.

Through the scriptures we learn the traits, behaviors, practices, and character that distinguishes the old spiritually dead man from the new, eternal, spiritually alive. God teaches us to feed the new man but starve the old man to death-put it to death spiritually, by not feeding it or giving in to its fleshly urgings.

Dearly beloveds, we are accountable and responsible for understanding that the old or carnal man, who is of a raw animal nature cannot be reasoned with, only spiritually killed. Every Christian is enabled by God to destroy the works of the flesh in their lives. There are times when we don’t recognize our old man or nature or need help to deal with it.  Therefore, God, and our brothers and sisters will admonish one another when it appears. With God’s help we help one another to accomplish over coming it when the need arises. Putting the old man to death spiritually, especially in cases of habituation, can be uncomfortable, unpleasant because there are elements of enjoying the forbidden pleasure, all the more reason in relentlessly, consistently letting it go out of love for and in obedience to God. Please feel free to study the works of the flesh or old man vs the works of the spiritual new man on your own brethren,

     Rom 12:1

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

7And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire.

8But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.

9Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.

Brothers and sisters, God makes it clear we are not to traffic with the angels, be obsessed with the angels, worship the angels, seek to contact the angels, leave all the angels alone, including the evil ones.

We know that besides God’s angels, who are spirits there are evil angels, evil spirits, or demons, and their chief the devil is able to transform himself into an angel of light. These demonic spirits and the devil himself seek to contact people to give them the doctrines of devils to oppose the word of God and to deceive people. please feel free to study on your own what the devil sows, and the forbidden practices of witchcraft, magic, wizards, necromancy, astrology, familiar spirits, etc.,. Those who willfully deal with the demonic realm without repentance according to scripture: Mat 25:41,

Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:

The Christian warfare is spiritual, holy people, we know that it is not against people, because the Christians love our human enemies, but God equips and commands the Christians to spiritually fight back against the devil and his demonic horde whenever they attack:  Eph 6:12

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places

Feel free to study on your own brethren Christian spiritual warfare, defensive and offensive weapons, and God’s power in completely overcoming the enemy. This does not mean the Christian does not have human enemies, whom we are to love, and deal with according to scripture through earthly authorities, and are able protect ourselves and loved ones from their destructive acts towards us whenever the need arises. Vengeance belongs to God only, He will repay.

There is no need for any of us to ever envy the angels which are stronger than any human being but understand that:  Mat 22:30

For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven.

     Col 2:18

Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshipping of angels, intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind

    STUDIES IN HEBREWS

    CHAPTER ONE

7And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire.

8But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.

9Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.

Brothers and sisters, let us always be in a state of gratefulness to our great God, whose love for His people is undying, incendiary, and eternal, who keeps us by His almighty power, which is unbeatable, unconquerable, and undefeatable.

Those Christians ignorant of the gospel and its teaching might have doubt out of ignorance but believe when they come to understand the message. I know, holy people, that there is no need to write to you that God cannot lie, will not ever lie, because there is no lie in Him. It is absolutely impossible for God to lie. God is eternal and absolute truth. Therefore, when we understand the gospel message, there is no justification in the eyes of God for anyone amongst us to dwell in lingering doubt and/or unbelief in His Word.

The angels appear in the both the Old and New Testaments. God gives us a multidimensional look at the order of angels, solely under His command in the scriptures. They never appear independently on their own. They can minister, comfort, fight, bring messages from God to people. They can sing, and they can fly too.

In the aforementioned verses, dearly beloveds, we understand that God does not ever call any of the angels His Son, because none of them are His Son. Evidently all the angels are males and again they are not to be worshipped.

Those who claim the Old Testament allowed worship of angels have misinterpreted scripture. Angels do appear in the Old Testament, however,  in every instance of an angel being called Lord or God, in every case it is the preexistent Christ, for example:    Gen 22:15: And the angel of the LORD called unto Abraham out of heaven the second time, 16 And said, By myself have I sworn, saith the LORD, for because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only son: 17 That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies; 18 And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice.

The bottom line, Holy people, is that God has not changed His command that God alone is to be worshipped. This includes the worship of God the Holy Spirit and God the Son Jesus Christ. As God told everyone continuously: Exo 34:14 For thou shalt worship no other god: for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God:

Holy people you know why “no other god” in this verse of Exo 34:14 is not capitalized.

    Love, serola

    STUDIES IN HEBREWS

    CHAPTER ONE

Brothers and sisters, thanks and praise the Lord Jesus our Saviour and Lord for His continual oversight of the church His people, His gracious love, mercy and truth. God established the family on earth, to give us an understanding of His forever holy family. Some of us have wonderful families, and some of us have families that are in name only, and some are orphans with little or no knowledge of the family we were born into.

Regardless of the kind of natural family we came from, God’s holy family is the only one that is eternal. God is so generous, loving and kind that He greatly desires and commands all to be a part of His family, and gives His children the right, the privilege, the command to bring the gospel message of His Son Jesus Christ to all that we can, so that they can be a part of our forever holy family too.

Let us keep in mind, holy brethren, that we go through life on earth as God’s family, and He is always teaching us about our Saviour, our Brother, our Friend, His Son Jesus Christ, through whom God adopted us, so we can know all about Him and love Him as our Father loves Him.

HEBREWS 1: 5For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son?

6And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him.

We find God our Father comparing and contrasting the angels to Lord Jesus and find that He is superior to the angels in every way as a Son. In bringing the first begotten into the world, God is absolutely not saying Jesus is a created being such as the angels, but that God sent and revealed His eternally preexistent Son to the world in a physical body, born of a virgin, being both God and man, not half and half but as a whole combined.

God absolutely forbids anyone to worship angels it is blasphemy. We are not to worship the angels, pray to the angels, pray God to send the angels, seek to invite the angels to visit or attend to any matter or thing or in any cause. Leave the angels alone, they are busy worshipping God and doing His will as we also should do. God alone has the authority to direct His servants the angels as He wills:  Heb 13:2

Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.

We know from the book of Revelation God will employ His angels who will be seen on earth at that time for His purposes they are not the servants of nor under the command of men.

Therefore, while the aforementioned verse encourages Christian hospitality, it does not in any way or manner whatsoever make a doctrine for the church to practice seeking personal contact with the angels for any purpose, so all will still be unaware even if one does entertains an angel.

Therefore, holy people, we know that there is absolutely no need for any Christian to invite angels into their homes, set an extra plate at the dinner table in case an angel shows up, looking for strangers to invite home in case one of them might be an angel, wearing an angel pin for luck, good fortune, protection, or any purpose. In fact, God forbids the making of any idols.

Some may say it shouldn’t matter as long as we are worshipping Jesus too:

     Isa 42:8

am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.

God has set our Saviour and Lord Jesus Christ our Brother, the First Born, to be the sole Mediator between God and Man. God commands, it is not optional, that our worship is to be directed to Jesus through whom we have access directly to worship God and the Holy Spirit as well:

    Rom 5:2

By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

Eph 2:18 For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.

Eph 3:12 In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him.

    Jhn 10:1-13; Jhn 14:6.

Only those who have come through faith in Jesus Christ have any access to God the Father, who absolutely accepts no worship of Himself from any who reject His Son: 1Jo 2:23

Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: (but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also.

     1Jo 5:12

He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.

Anyone, brothers, and sisters, claiming salvation through faith in angels, men, rituals, denominations, institutions, organizations, affiliations with man- made associations, or extrabiblical doctrines or any combinations thereof, or mixed in with the gospel, is still dead in their sins.

If this is true of anyone one reading this, I pray they will repent, and believe on the name of Jesus Christ the Son of God who died on the cross and rose again to atone for all sins and forgives all sins of all who trust and believe in Him.

Brothers and sisters, again, God makes it absolutely clear the worship of angels is forbidden and blasphemy. Our worship to God is centered on, in by, to and through the sole Saviour of all who believe, Jesus Christ.

    Love, serola

    CHAPTER ONE

Dearly beloved brothers and sisters, let us thank God our Father in His great mercy for giving us His beloved Son Jesus Christ, and making us a part of his forever family so that we can have this blessed fellowship together with Him and one another now and forever. Holy people the times are dangerous and likely to continue. However,  we remain steadfast and stable in this unstable world by the power of our God.

I plead with you brethren, that we should never stay far away from the Lord at any time but come near boldly to Jesus at all times. Lord Jesus, we come to you as your dear children. Father we come consciously, full of gratitude as your priests through faith in Jesus Christ. Jesus Lord, we come to you washed, and cleansed forever from our sins in your sinless precious blood. Holy Spirit we come to freely eat to the full the true Manna from heaven, the only begotten Son of God Jesus Christ, the Word of God, both Saviour and Lord. Father, we thank and praise you knowing absolutely that your Son Jesus Christ will raise us up together at the last day, and we shall be satisfied when we awake with His likeness to your good pleasure and will.

Brothers and sisters, we continue this intensely intimate, multidimensional portrayal of the Christ, straight from the heart of God our Father, who lovingly invites us, His family, to behold, understand and know His Son and also to love and adore Him even as the Father.

Hebrews 1: 3Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high; 4 Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.

Brothers and sisters, God the Father frankly declares right early in Hebrews that His Son Jesus Christ-looks exactly like Him in heart, in mind, in power, in character, in nature, in every way; and the whole creation is upheld by the word of the power of Jesus Christ, His Son.

Now Lord Jesus in His perfected physical body is sitting on His throne and attending to His Office as High Priest in the true sanctuary in heaven. Because He is 100 %God and 100% man combined and Head of the church He indwells His people with God and the Holy Spirit and oversees the work of His church on earth and protects it by His power. Of course, God and the Holy Spirit are right there with Him doing their work in the believers on earth as well.  We understand then, brethren that Jesus is God the Son and Just like His Father and the Holy Spirit Jesus is equal in every way and also omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent.

He is declared superior to the angels, He is not a created being as the angels, He is the only Son to whom the inheritance belongs, and He shares it with those who believe in Him. Dearly beloveds we must comprehend that Jesus did not need any help to save us, He accomplished this by Himself exactly as God our Father teaches.

The Bible, dearly beloveds, absolutely upholds faith in Jesus Christ, God’s sole appointed Saviour, as the sole absolute, explicit, exclusive, exhaustive, eternal means of salvation, never water baptism which is an ordinance of the church for all believers but never ever a means of salvation.

What should anyone do who in error thought they were saved through water baptism? First of all repent of unbelief and come believing the truth:  Jhn 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. Go immediately to believe and obey Ro 10: 6-11.

Again, brothers and sisters, we know absolutely that God is not drawing men to be saved by water baptism, or any other means except through faith in His only begotten Son Jesus Christ. Again, God is drawing all men to His Son whom He has appointed the sole Saviour for all who believe in Him.

Let us look at this somewhat more, brethren, He that is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. (Note God’s penalty for impenitent unbelief). Again and again and again, we must always be extremely careful to understand that the baptism Lord Jesus declares here is the baptism of the Holy Spirit not water baptism, further confirmed in the following verses: .

Mar 1:8 I indeed have baptized you with water: but he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost.

Act 1:5  For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence. See: Act 2:2-4.

There are too many infallible proofs in scripture than I post here that proves that there is no salvation by any means other than faith in Jesus Christ. What this means without any doubt is that those who either add or take away from this final, finished, explicit, exclusive, and eternal truth unrepentantly remain unsaved and still spiritually dead in their sins.

I want to put this here as a bit of a foot note, beloveds, that during the apostolic age some believers did not receive the Holy Spirit immediately when they believed. However, the Bible explains these few and rare instances, which were attended to by the apostles no one else. The apostolic age is closed, and the gospel message is present in its entirety, so we know from scripture that every believer receives the Holy Spirit instantly upon believing and trusting in Jesus Christ as their saviour and Lord. There is no need of any person performing any rituals or activities of any kind in order to receive the Holy Spirit and the examples of the apostles was never and is never to be replicated in the church. Feel free, dearly beloveds, to study on your own the qualifications of the apostles and you will understand how we know that the age of  the apostolic ministry has been closed by God for good, for we all stand upon the foundation that they and the prophets laid, Jesus Christ the chief corner stone.

    STUDIES IN HEBREWS

    CHAPTER ONE

Dearly beloved brothers and sisters as we continue on in this study as the family of God, again there is nothing here for the intellectual or those looking for a scholarly work. However, by the grace of God we continue being led by Christ, in the will of God, and the Holy Ghost our Teacher who will minister to us as a whole as well as to each of us individually beyond any study as He wills for our edification in understanding our great salvation in our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. All scripture is God breathed so there will be nothing here on who wrote it and to whom and what year, none of it is relevant to us as all scripture is God breathed, 2 Tim 3: 16-17.

Let us walk with Jesus in His Word, holy brethren. There might be points in any study where the presence of the Lord might manifest heavily, then we may strongly desire to worship, to pray or praise Lord Jesus, or give thanks, or sing a song to God. There might be times that God our Father calls us to take time to reflect or work at applying something He revealed to us personally, at times the Holy Spirit will take us to other books of scripture relevant to this study. One thing is absolutely certain, brethren, in the spiritual nutrient rich Bible, God will nurture, feed us fully, richly, deeply, in His Word by His Word with the Holy Spirit.

    The Supremacy of the Son

    (Colossians 1:15-23)

1God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, 2Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds…

We must look more closely regarding prophets. The office of the prophet is fulfilled, and completed in the atoning work of Lord Jesus Christ, Mat 5:17 - Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.

None of the prophets were able to speak from the advantage of being always and eternally joined with God the Father.  This is why there is no further need for prophets, Jesus Christ, is the perfect and only Prophet for all eternity, who has the entire message and testimony of the gospel message without error from beginning to ending.

The gift of prophesy, however, is the ability given at the discretion of the Holy Spirit to members in the body, not as an office, but as a tool for certain purposes to the body: to teach, encourage, refute, reprove, admonish, comfort others. The gift of prophesy is under the control of the Holy Spirit and to be used for the church, and must be tested by the church before it is received as valid.

     Rom 12:6

    Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith;

1Co 14:31 For ye may all prophesy one by one, that all may learn, and all may be comforted. There is more on this in general and minute detail, please free to study this more on your own.

As a reminder, dearly beloveds, God today is not calling men to those falsely claiming to hold the office of the prophet, instead God is warning men against them.

Mat 7:15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

Mat 24:11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.

God leaves us breathless and filled with awe and admiration when He exalts His Son Jesus’ eternal existence and power equal to His own,

in that God created the worlds by Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit testifies that Jesus, just like His Father God always existed. Jesus was with God from before the beginning: Gen 1:1In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

Jesus is the Rock in the wilderness: Exo 17:6; 1Co 10:4.

Jesus is the angel of the Lord that spoke to Moses out of the burning bush, Exo 3:2-5.

Jesus is the Captain of the hosts of the Lord:  Jos 5:13-15.

Jesus is the Rock of Sion, Rom 9:33.

Jesus is the Author of eternal salvation  Heb 5:9 and finisher of our faith,  Heb 12:2.

We find Jesus, God the Son at the beginning throughout scripture and praise His holy Name we find Him at the end too.
