SPIRITUAL WARFARE

Eph. 6:15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

Saints (G40 hagios) the weapons made by our God are beyond ANY material weapon made by man, including all the nuclear bombs and artillery of any military. I am not saying such does not have a place when dealing with human adversaries; however in spiritual warfare I will say this truth again and again all weapons made by mere men are useless, powerless and of no effect whatsoever.

There are NO glitches, systemic failures nor gaps in God’s armor. You know how it is in human warfare, brothers and sisters, the enemies spy on each other to know what weapons they have, and get busy trying to make ones more powerful than the other. They also try to spy out weaknesses in each other’s defenses/offences. We know that in the end times Lord God Almighty shall roar out of heaven and bring to nothing forever even every material weapon that mere man has ever made

No one can replicate nor create any weapon that is superior to God’s perfect impenetrable, indestructible weaponry. There are NO weaknesses of any kind whatsoever in God’s armor.

The inerrant, non- negotiable, absolute gospel through our triune God is the preparation that has shod our feet. For this reason we will remain stable in our walk, our feet will not slip wherever we tread, we will bring the uncompromising gospel of peace. Peace that comes through the gospel of Jesus Christ that brings peace, and reconciliation with God through Him.

Amen, it is through our Lord Jesus we will tread down the adversary and all of his opposition to bring peace to everyone who will hear and believe in Lord Jesus Christ.

We make no peace with the supernatural adversary and his hoard. Even our feet which God has shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace shall be used to tread down God's supernatural enemies.

SPIRITUAL WARFARE

Acts 19: 11 And God wrought special miracles by the hands of Paul: 12 So that from his body were brought unto the sick handkerchiefs or aprons, and the diseases departed from them, and the evil spirits went out of them.13 Then certain of the vagabond Jews, exorcists, took upon them to call over them which had evil spirits the name of the Lord Jesus, saying, We adjure you by Jesus whom Paul preacheth. 14 And there were seven sons of one Sceva, a Jew, and chief of the priests, which did so. 15 And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye? 6 And the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, and overcame them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded. 17 And this was known to all the Jews and Greeks also dwelling at Ephesus; and fear fell on them all, and the name of the Lord Jesus was magnified.18 And many that believed came, and confessed, and shewed their deeds.19 Many of them also which used curious arts brought their books together, and burned them before all men: and they counted the price of them, and found it fifty thousand pieces of silver.20 So mightily grew the word of God and prevailed.

The Bible warns everyone, beloveds, that imitation is not acceptable by God as true faith. You see, brothers and sisters these vagabond Jews were just imitators and not true believers. They saw the special miracles given only to an Apostle and thought they could have this same power by merely speaking over the possessed our Lord’s name. These vagabond Jews had faith in their formula, but not in Jesus Christ. Secondly these vagabonds thought they had power based on the fact that they heard the Apostle Paul preaching about our Lord. However they did not believe in our Saviour Jesus Christ, they believed Paul’s preaching was just another formula by which they could gain power, fame and fortune by casting out demons.

Even more importantly, this passage addresses believers secretly or openly using magic, incantations, and/ or magic arts in trying to cast out demons, which God forbids. This was a wakeup call to believers too. They were convicted by the Holy Spirit that they already had the only and sole answer through the faith of Lord Jesus to deal with the devil and his hoards. Therefore they publically openly confessed their forbidden involvement with the occult, and burned up every book seeing it as the powerless worthless junk that it was. We see how the righteous turn from sin to God when He reproves them. However the wicked never will.

God forbids any Christian from using magic, witchcraft, spells or incantations etc. period. None of these things have any power to deal with the devil.  

It is obvious NO CHRISTIAN CAN BE POSSESSED BY THE DEVIL NOR ANY EVIL SPIRIT. WHY? THEY ARE POSSESSED AND INDWELT BY THE TRIUNE GOD WHO KEEPS THEM AND HAS DELIVERED THEM FROM DARKNESS. So what happened to the seven sons of Sceva will never happen to a Christian. However any Christian using things God forbids in spiritual warfare will be ineffectual. God will correct, discipline and scourge His children and help them obey Him out of love. Those who refuse correction according to scripture are bastards not sons  

People who are not believers just as then so it is now, falsely think they have power through their formulae and magic arts to cast out the devils. There are also those falsely claiming to be believers because they have mixed faith in Jesus and in the Apostle John, or Paul, or Peter or some other person or thing are not actually true believers. Every one of the Apostles (not Judas Iscariot) preached the gospel of Jesus Christ so that all men would believe in JESUS CHRIST AND HAVE FAITH IN HIM. Not once did Jesus Christ’s messengers of good news ever tell you or me to worship them, they told everyone to worship Jesus. What I am saying here if you are a worshipper of some guy, gal, creature or thing, or think that you have gained salvation by believing in them plus Jesus Christ, you are not a Christian. Therefore this study is not written to you, for you have neither place, power nor protection in spiritual warfare. I pray any such person would turn to Jesus Christ DIRECTLY, for eternal forgiveness and the remission of sins past, present and future. 

However, to every Christian I can assure you that through Lord Jesus Christ, greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world. Neither is there the devil nor any other creature able to defeat our invincible, unbeatable, all powerful God who protects every one of His children to the uttermost and for all eternity.

1Jo 4:4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is  in the world.

SPIRITUAL WARFARE

It is understandable, brothers and sisters, that God’s battle dress is sometimes compared to those used in human combat. However, in spiritual warfare, God’s spiritual battle dress is completely superior and effectual in every way in comparison to the weak inventions and powerless physical weapons made by the hands of mere men.  All of our weapons are made by Almighty God. These weapons are perfect,  powerful,impenetrable, deadly and completely superior to any weapon of the adversary.

 We keep our hearts and minds pointed to the whole armor of God. We must also pay attention that along with being girded with truth we have our Lord’s breastplate of righteousness.

This breastplate is not made of any material or physical matter. The breastplate of righteousness is made by and of THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF OUR TRIUNE GOD.

Tit 3:4 But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared, 5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; 6 Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour; 7 That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life. 8 This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men.

Christians do not claim righteousness on the basis of mere worthless human effort; decisional choices; rank within organizations, institutions, denominations, personal beliefs centered on the doctrines of mere men, education or the lack thereof, race, ethnicity or human heritage. Absolutely all the righteousness we have is through Lord Jesus Christ.

 2Co 5:21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

Phl 3:8 Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ, 9 And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:

What does the Bible have to say about human righteousness?

Isa 64:6 But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.

Lord Jesus we your children, thank you for your great love, mercy and righteousness which you have poured out in abundance upon us. The power and truth of your breastplate of righteousness has secured our hearts and continually strengthens the vitality of our faith through you. Lord we put on the breastplate of righteousness that you have given us your people. Our hearts and the vitality of our faith through you is eternally protected from the onslaught of the enemy. Nothing and no power the enemy has will ever penetrate your breastplate. We love you Lord because you first loved us and gave yourself for us so that we can be and are yours forever.

SPIRITUAL WARFARE

God has given us the whole gospel message in its entirety, to stand against the adversary, his wiles, lies, tricks, schemes, obfuscations, deceit, and deceptions. Let us give God the totality of our worship, praise and thanks for all He has done for us.

Psa 18:2 The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.

Just as our God was a Deliverer of His people back then, He is still the same mighty in power to His people today. We can gladly embrace the fullness of His deliverance at all times:

Say it with me brethren, and I also pray that after you say it take time to personalize it by using "I"  in place of us and we: Lord we worship, praise and thank you that we are:

Delivered from sin: ( Rom 6:17 But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you.).

Delivered from the Law: ( Rom 7:6 But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.)

Delivered from death: ( 2Co 1:9 But we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God which raiseth the dead: 10 Who delivered us from so great a death, and doth deliver: in whom we trust that he will yet deliver us;).

Delivered from the power of darkness, and delivered into the kingdom of Jesus Christ: ( Col 1:13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:).

Delivered from the wrath of God: ( 1Th 1:10 And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come.).

There is so much more than I can post here feel free to look further on your own into the glorious Deliverer our God. Please understand saints in due time our Deliverer will also keep His promise to Israel: ( Rom 11:26 And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:).

Lord Jesus we your saints (G40 hagios) love you as our Saviour, as our Mediator, as our High Priest, as our Deliverer, as our Creator, as the Son of God and in all your Diety. We love our Triune God and rest in your love, your faithfulness and inerrant truth.

Eph 6:14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;

To stand means: Strong's G2476 – histēmi- continue safe and sound, stand unharmed, to stand ready or prepared: to be of a steadfast mind of quality, one who does not hesitate, does not waiver remains permanently immovable.

Gird means:  Strong's G4024 – perizōnnymi- to equip one's self with knowledge of the truth as taught in the Bible.

 The truth means: Strong's G225 - alētheia   the truth as taught in the Bible, respecting God and the execution of his purposes through Christ, and respecting the duties of man, opposing alike to the superstitions of the Gentiles and the inventions of the Jews, and the corrupt opinions and precepts of false teachers where ever they appear even those who creep in amongst Christians. If you or anyone rejects the truth of scripture not only are you naked and defenseless in spiritual warfare you are not even a Christian.

SPIRITUAL WARFARE

The main focus of attack by the adversary is on the absolute, inerrant, non-negotiable full gospel message. The full preparation for spiritual warfare is being fully rooted in the understanding, knowledge, and power of grace through our Saviour, sole Mediator, and High Priest Jesus Christ the Son of the Living God.

Again our Lord reminds us: Eph. 6: 10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. 11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

Our strength comes from God and utterly rests in the power of His might. Next we see the necessity of putting on the WHOLE ARMOUR OF GOD. Then we also see how the whole armour of God works in His people.

The adversary seeks to undermine the faith of God’s people through schemes to underplay or over play one or more aspects of the final finished and complete work of Lord Jesus Christ in His death, burial, resurrection and ascension as High Priest over the house of God for all eternity.

One of the schemes that many are warning about are those who only want to make the death of Jesus Christ the focus. While we keep in memoriam of our precious Lord’s death, He never told us that this is all we keep. We keep the whole of ALL His work:  Rom 8:34 Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.

 Rom 14:9 For to this end Christ both died, and rose, and revived, that he might be Lord both of the dead and living.

1 Co. 15 1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; 2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. 3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

1Co 15:14 And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain.

 Col 2:12 Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead. The Bible backs up itself, proves itself, defends itself and authenticates itself through the power and might of the eternal Triune God. Because it is of God, nothing and no one can over throw it.  Next we will see how God dresses His soldiers for battle.
